The concept of Palestine as a state is a modern fantasy. For the four centuries to the end of WW1 it was part of the Ottoman empire. Think Turks, Gallipoli. During WW1 the area was occupied by the British as part of their campaign to protect the vital asset of the Suez Canal.
The Ottomans were on the losing side at the end of WW1 & the empire was carved up. Between 1919 & 1920 the League of Nations created “Mandatory Palestine” which was administered by the Brits. This lasted until 1947 when the Zionists were granted Israel, the remaining territory being shared by Egypt & Jordan.
Most “Palestinians” were the no-hopers Jordan didn’t want cluttering up their country.
To repeat a point. There has never been a Palestinian state not even in OT times. The area was inhabited by various tribes well documented in the Book of Bullshit. It has been ruled by the Romans, it was part of the Byzantine area & fell to Islamic rule in the 15th Century, hence the Crusades.
