Not sure if it is real or not but I read yesterday the UK Govt. are looking at taxing assets of those who leave the UK. I have no idea how it would be done because if you are leaving then I would presume you would be selling up everything, unless you buy a house in Spain or some where else and you are able to make it your primary residence and the house back in the UK is treated as a “foreign asset” –I’m sure the accountants would find you a loop hole.
It’s tied up with the UK capital gains tax. Note that at this stage it is a “proposal” so they’re probably testing the waters.

There are very few differences between cults & religions except that the latter tend to own more real estate.
There probably needs to be a better euphemism than godhole. Communism is both a cult and a religion, yet it lacks a positive deity (except, perhaps History the Great Judge).

Te Pāti Māori president John Tamihere is suggesting two of the party’s MPs should resign as he accuses them of “greed, avarice and entitlement”.
