some points

The United States contributes more money to the UN than any other country. It supplies 22 percent of the UN’s regular budget.

so they pay less than a quarter but want to effectively RUN it themselves with others paying 78%
sounds like bullying and abuse.

Yes
the UN is fuck-a-doodle-do
BUT
this is Not the answer

—————–
It also supplies 28.43 percent of the UN’s peacekeeping budgets.

So what
US is a war-mongering country that has continuously started wars this century
a continent only beaten by Africa, but they are local wars often with historic long term grievances.
It has been war-like, aggressive, and blood thirsty since its own (so called) Civil war in the 1860s
The gun toting/ war mongering is kept alive with wall to wall hollyweird shit of westerns , war movies , and cops and robbers.

The US gets off light with that payment (28%) considering war is their biggest interest
Nothing has changed yet
If they stop funding Ukraine it will be over by morning.

If the US had not gone raging and occupying countries in the last 25 years the large external deficit would be a lot less.
After the fall of the Soviet union they sought out new places to attack; just because.

and
the UN peacekeeping is a load of shite.

Wrote a little on this on why it would be extraordinary socialist politics to bring Ardern in to the UN as Trump with a number of others should thwart their schemes.

With the Trump’s quote to the UN back in 2019

So it seems Trump has a plan to follow through on; to shake the UN & its hanger-ons out of the tree.
Go Trump.

I think its time that the 6 maori seats were given to the 6 main tribes to appoint their mp , this would remove them from party politics and they can be independants fighting for their regions rather than being puppets of JT. That would also remove the overhang problem and it should also remove the discipline problem.

So how legitimate is MMP?:
It was said that in moving to MMP the temporary 1867 maori seats concept would be removed.

AI :— The Royal Commission on the Electoral System in its 1986 report did recommend the abolition of the Māori seats if MMP were adopted, arguing that a proportional system would provide better representation for Māori.

The MMP voters were suckered !

However, strong opposition from Māori organisations led to Parliament deciding to retain the seats under the new MMP system, which was introduced in 1996.

So if that is not done, then the question should be put, that the list seats are totally illegitimate.
For that point, just for starters, no salaries & expenses for the list mps.
Evolving to the point that by the next election, absolutely No List MPs.

Yeah I know, turkeys do not vote for Christmas.
But the question needs to be raised, just how legitimate is the NZ government,? that used mis, dis, mal information to gain by malfeasance in going to MMP.

Fuck the banks,
I have been trying to log in since 6:00 am this morning & it kept telling me that system was down when “Log In” & then advising me to check their status.
Upon checking the status, all seemed to bright & well as “operational”.

So forcing one to figure if it is my error, computer or router etc..

Finally it is after 8:30 am on checking the status report now declares :—

“Internet Banking” “Major Outage”
In the meantime all other systems are declared “operational” …. really …

“Some customers are unable to access Personal Internet Banking”. Yeah right & what about the rest of it.

“Investigating:— …… 8:32 NZDT”
“Identified: —– …… & a fix is being implemented. 8:33am NZDT

I guess that now sets me up to be able to use the refresh button to see if they achieve the fix.. Not that I can hang about doing that.

These systems surely know how to consume & totally waste my time ! ! !

The marvels of digital never ceases to amaze, in fucking people around.
Now leaving me fucking others around too.
As other jobs to do, take priority.

The real reasons behind the rush to save the kiddy-winkies from internet bullying & porn are slowly surfacing & they’re looking suspiciously like on-line censorship. From the UK https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/2127999/vpn-ban-on-table-online :

#. “VPNs could be banned as part of a crackdown on internet freedoms following the Online Safety Act’s online age gates. Intended to block children from accessing adult content”

Probably not immediately but if the government are severely criticised or under threat then:

#. “…….nothing is off the table when it comes to keeping children safe, and we will continue to monitor and assess the effectiveness of the Online Safety Act in robustly protecting children online.”

Recently, a tour guide was leading a group of tourists through a famous, ancient castle in Germany. “This castle was built nearly eight hundred years ago. All features are original – not one stone has been changed, not one wall has been altered, and not one upgrade, superficial or functional, has occurred in all these years.”

“Wow,” interrupted a woman, rolling her eyes. “They must have the same landlord I do.”

Best news of the day is that Watts is dumbing down the CO2 targets and the Carbon market dived, although it recovered. I’d love to see that market become worthless.

https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/national/577889/decision-to-end-some-climate-policy-consultation-worrying-former-climate-commissioner-says

The fact the left says this is encouraging “A former climate change commissioner says the changes are “worrying” and show the government is not serious about reducing domestic emissions.”

As New Zealand’s Climate Change Minister, Simon Watts’ recent policy announcements have had a significant, immediate negative effect on the domestic carbon market, causing the price of carbon credits (NZUs) to drop by around 10% on November 5, 2025.
Key Effects on the Carbon Market Today:

  • Price Drop: The market price for carbon credits (NZUs) dropped significantly immediately following the government’s policy announcements on Tuesday evening, November 4, 2025. Prices fell from around $51.70 to as low as $41.50, before recovering slightly.
  • Reduced Incentive for Abatement: The lower carbon price makes it cheaper for businesses to emit greenhouse gases, thereby reducing the financial incentive for them to invest in technologies and practices that reduce emissions.
  • Market Uncertainty: The unexpected nature of the reforms, including proposed changes to the Climate Change Response Act (CCRA) and the role of the Climate Change Commission, spooked market participants and led to negative sentiment about the credibility of the Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS).
  • Policy Shifts: The changes announced by Watts include:
  • Ending the requirement for the Climate Change Commission to provide advice on the policy direction of emissions reduction plans.
  • Removing the requirement for the ETS settings to align with New Zealand’s international Paris Agreement targets, which some experts suggest weakens the market’s long-term signal.
  • Introducing a new Assessment Framework for Carbon Removals to recognise and reward non-forestry carbon removals (e.g., from wetlands) in the future, aiming to broaden opportunities within the market, though this did not offset the immediate negative reaction to the wider policy shifts.

Minister Watts attributed the price fluctuations to general “demand and supply considerations” in a market setting, while market analysts and former climate commissioners directly linked the price drop to the government’s policy changes. ”
