I will say this plainly, because dancing around it helps no one.
This government did not turn up to win applause. It turned up to do the kind of work that usually gets shouted down by activists, commentators, and professional outrage merchants. The work that actually makes a country function again
No fireworks. No victory laps. Just repeal schedules, budget trims, and laws moving through Parliament while everyone else argues on social media.
And that is exactly why some people are losing their minds.
Because the Coalition did not accept Labour’s core assumption, that the state exists to manage beliefs, identities, and outcomes instead of doing a few essential things well.
They rejected that outright.
Take the Marine and Coastal Area framework. It was not theatrically abolished, but the direction of travel changed. The legal tests were tightened, the creep was halted, and the idea that public space should slowly disappear into endless claims was stopped cold 📷
Water infrastructure tells the same story.
Three Waters was not paused or reviewed. It was scrapped and rebuilt. Control returned to councils. Accountability returned to ratepayers. The experiment where people paid for assets they did not control ended. Boring, yes. Effective, also yes.
Health followed suit.
The Māori Health Authority was disestablished, and with it the assumption that separating services by ancestry was somehow progressive. One system. One standard. One expectation 📷
And this is where the philosophical line becomes clear.
The Coalition is not anti help.
It is anti permanent dependency.
Labour blurred that line constantly. Temporary support became a lifestyle. Excuses replaced expectations. Whether it was welfare, justice, or education, the system kept lowering the bar and then acted shocked when outcomes collapsed.
That is why Fair Pay Agreements were dumped. They were not protecting workers, they were freezing small businesses into arrangements they never agreed to, imposed by people who never had to make payroll. Flexibility came back. Responsibility came back. Negotiation returned to the people actually doing the work 📷
People keep asking why they do not feel the change yet.
Because Labour did not leave a pothole. They left structural damage.
Inflation was running hot. Spending was loose. The public service had grown into a self sustaining ecosystem more focused on process than results. So the Coalition did something unfashionable. It pulled spending back.
Not from frontline services, but from the layers that existed purely to justify themselves. Policy units, engagement teams, consultants stacked on consultants. Thousands of roles reduced or restructured.
Here is the reality. Every dollar wasted by government is a dollar taken from someone who earned it 📷 Cutting that waste is not cruelty, it is respect for contribution.
Inflation is now back inside the Reserve Bank’s target range. Not because of magic, but because discipline works. Spending restraint, clearer mandates, and saying no again did what endless virtue signalling never could 📷
Tax relief followed. Not jackpot politics, just breathing room. Enough to matter.
Law and order shifted fast, and for good reason.
Three Strikes returned.
Sentencing discounts tightened.
Gang patches banned in public spaces 📷
This is not about vengeance. It is about drawing a clear line. Your choices do not get to impose costs on everyone else. Freedom ends where harm begins.
Youth boot camps reopened too. Not as a miracle cure, but as an alternative to the revolving door Labour called rehabilitation.
Accountability came back into the conversation.
Education stopped being an ideological playground.
Back to basics. Reading. Writing. Maths 📷
Less theory. More skills.
Parents treated as partners again, not obstacles.
Housing and infrastructure followed the same logic. Labour’s grand replacement of the RMA, the one that somehow made building harder, was scrapped. The worst of it is gone. Fast track consenting now cuts around the choke points, pushing through dozens of major projects 📷
Is the RMA still there. For now. But pragmatism replaced paralysis. Outcomes replaced ideology.
Immigration tightened too. Not out of fear, out of fairness.
Less anyone will do.
More what do you actually bring.
Builders. Tradies. Carers. Growers.
People who add capacity instead of pressure 📷
Foreign policy hardened slightly as well. Less apologising for existing. More focus on trade, security, and national interest 📷
And through all of this, one quiet shift matters more than the rest.
Policy stopped being written for the loudest voices in the room.
The activist class lost its veto. The silent majority, the people who work, pay tax, raise families, and do not protest for a living, started being heard again 📷
Race based structures were removed where they mattered most. Treaty references are being reviewed. The default setting moved back to contribution over category, without the theatrics.
Is everything fixed. No.
Does it take time. Absolutely.
But here is the difference now.
We are no longer pretending that managing feelings is more important than fixing systems.
We are no longer rewarding dysfunction and calling it kindness.
We are no longer governed by ideology first and consequences last.
You do not feel a reset while it is happening.
You notice it when things stop getting worse.
Labour governed like money was infinite and responsibility was optional.
The Coalition governs like someone has to pay the bill, and live with the result.
They did not come to be liked.
They came to restore function 📷
And after years of drift, division, and denial, that is exactly what this country needed.

When Labor won government, they backed down on their support of my Bill.
The Labor / Coalition duopoly don’t care about our farming sector like One Nation does.
We will restore the rights of our farming sector and work with the industry to ensure Australia’s food security and a fair farm gate price.

Since 2020 gold is up just under 200% and silver just under 300%. I have seen projections that suggest silver will go all the way to US$300 an ounce, due to massive supply constraints. Who knows but I agree I am doubtful that there will be any major corrections just the usual fluctuations.

The biggest risk with precious metals imo is storage. The banks can be forced to hand over your gold if you have a safety deposit box and if you store it yourself there is a risk of someone stealing it. Particularly if you tell people on a blog that you have a largish quantity. Metal detectors make it difficult to hide.
