“I don’t know which fool launched this fake news tonight about my disappearance, but rest assured that I’m doing well and have no intention of bowing out. To those who have ears,” she wrote on X on Oct. 22, 2025.

She publicly defended disgraced actor Gérard Depardieu and pushed back on the #MeToo movement in France.

Paywalled.
Seems to be a fair bit of political anguish in this in NZ too.
Will the accounts be turned in, in a timely fashion then properly audited?
So in NZ, do we not have variations of this, like with Health centres, through to Sports teams, now appearing from Auckland all the way through to Southland.
Over this Christmas period it does seem that the mainstream media are complicit by their silence.
Maybe a mole hill from their point of view, but seeing how it can grow into a “life-force” of mountainous size, that sets up to as “too big to fail” that even challenges Government, that even reaches into Parliament & no questions raised.
In part I wonder if the small locals who want to be part of producing “school lunches” and yelled out that there should be more money for the lunches, are also going to be held accountable as well as the large companies.
The stupid thing is the more the government throughs taxpayers money around, the bigger the opportunity in creating corruption.
Then needs more government of high salary clip-boards & tick-boxers to monitor, record, & report on all of that.
So only cents in the $ is ever forwarded to the “nice & kind” destination, whilst demanding money with menaces from others.
As such kindness fattened out so wide.
As “from little things, does big things grow”.

Public servants more left-leaning than private sector workers, new polling shows.
The exclusive polling, provided to the Herald, differentiated between those working in the core public service, made up of ministries and government departments, compared with the wider public sector, which includes workers like members of the police, defence force, teachers and public doctors.
It also compares those working for not-for-profits and for-profit organisations in the private sector.
The numbers reveal workers in the core public service support left-wing parties by a net 16% more than the right, while those employed in the private sector support the right bloc by a net 19% more.
https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/wellington/public-servants-more-left-leaning-than-private-sector-workers-new-polling-shows/premium/6U6J5NROCVBX3B2UH2G4PQULRY/
.
Private sector workers who work for not-for-profit organisations also supported the left and right in equal shares, but for-profit workers supported the right bloc by a net 24%.
There are about 63,000 fulltime workers employed in the public service, with about 40% of them located in Wellington.
There are 481,500 FTEs employed in the wider public sector, including police officers, Defence personnel, teachers and nurses.
While agencies have their own political neutrality obligations and guidelines, the Public Service Commission states that, generally, public servants do have the right to be involved in political activity in their private lives but must be politically neutral at work.
Some 7600 voters responded to the poll across 2025, a larger dataset than Curia’s standard monthly Taxpayers’ Union poll, which surveys about 1000 voters by phone (landline and mobile) and online with a maximum margin of error of plus or minus 3.1%.
The fable that you can be different at work than you are at home needs dismantling.
You cannot be different. If you are, then you would be classed as schizophrenic.
Well, maybe they are.
Its a bit like saying you are a male, but really you are a female. That doesn’t work.
We hear people with home problems coming to work and saying it doesn’t affect their work. what a joke, of course it does.
dont bite the hand that feeds you is most govt workers/benes motto, voting for a govt that would make you jobless or pay freeze would be like a turkey voting for xmas.
if you were a public sector worker in the same situation then you would probably vote accordingly aswell.
certainly dosent help the hiring process for public sector roles has been rigged to weed out more saner and non woke applicants. the whole thing has pretty much become a make cushy good paying jobs machine for unemployable leftards.
Consider the dilemma of the typical, useless, pink haired under graduate with a $70,000 student loan who waddles out of the gates to the University of Waikato. Four years & all it has to show for them is a bit of paper headed Bachelor of Gender Studies OR Women Studies OR Political Science OR Nasal Irrigation with a Diploma in Nose Flute Music.

yup hes a fucking nutter loser like candace owens, started out fine and while they were “under control” they both came across as good level headed people… but once free and doing their own thing they become more derranged by the day.
is it for the clickbait thing or are they just genuinelt fucked in the head? candace esp is out the gate, i think currently she thinks shes 007 and evading israeli spies sent to assasinate her.
I thought it was French assassins or was that a couple of delusions ago?
fuck knows, maybe is was french assassins hired by the jews?

Socialist:
I shouldn’t have to earn a living. It’s unfair. Other people have more money than me. You can’t prove I need to work.
Capitalist:
You need food, shelter, and clothing. Those don’t appear by wishing. Work is how you trade value for value.
Socialist:
That’s just your opinion. Maybe money is a social construct. Maybe some people hoard all the jobs and leave the rest of us struggling.
Capitalist:
No one hoarded your opportunity. They built something people wanted. You’re free to do the same.
Socialist:
Well if everyone just shared their extra money, no one would be poor. Why should some people have more while others have to work harder?
Capitalist:
Because they produced more value, or produced it better.
Socialist:
That’s selfish. You only care about profits. In an ideal world, people wouldn’t have to work at all.
Capitalist:
In an ideal world, scarcity wouldn’t exist either. We don’t build systems around fantasies.
Socialist:
So you’re saying I deserve to struggle?
Capitalist:
I’m saying reality doesn’t waive the bill because you dislike the invoice.
Socialist:
This is exploitation.
Capitalist:
No. Exploitation would be forcing someone else to earn your living for you.
Socialist:
You just hate poor people.
Capitalist:
No. I hate pretending effort is oppression.
That’s the divide.
Capitalism treats people as adults.
Socialism is a tantrum that obsessively makes any excuse to avoid responsibility.
The trouble with “capitalism” is that human nature interferes with the principles of property rights, free trade, competition, and enterprise.
It’s human nature to want to game the system or to bend the rules in one’s favor.
Nepotism and tribalism don’t help.
Theoretically capitalism places emphasis on the individual & self-determination, socialism places the importance on the society as a whole, assisted by the government.
Practically, we look around us, then conclude that both have been replaced by corporatism.
Corporations need consumers of their goods and services.
If the population declines, how will the corporations survive?
Robots are not consumers.
I’ve long sought an answer to that conundrum. It’s almost as if the cretins who have slithered their way to the top of the corporate ladder have put it in the too hard basket.
The only counter argument I have read is along the lines of AI creating new jobs but failing to address the obvious sequitur that AI will replace them too.
Perhaps they have a good war planned to mop up the surplus humanity.
Watched the last series of trigger point – interesting message that those truly responsible will be held to account by those who suffered when the state fails. Pretty brutal but history is littered with examples Herr Starmer and El Presidentee micron your names are on the list.

“When 200 magistrates say that there is an integrity issue in the justice system, things get very serious.”

When will this get sorted? and still with in living memory, the eventual swift justice.
No war is needed to mop up humanity. Birth rates in all the important countries is well below replacement levels.
Yes. The problem even AI will face is that the workshy & intellectually challenged are doing most of the breeding still going on. Poorly raised & uneducated masses are unlikely to be in a position to buy goods. Their modus operandi normally involves stealing them.
The idea of war to reduce population & demands on food & shelter is an 18th Century economic answer to peaks of population & troughs of economic activity. Eg.
#. “Of course, the need for concision meant that some of the finer details of Malthus’s analysis were lost, such as his explanation of the sequence in which checks were inclined to occur – with war, for example, stepping in to mop up the surplus numbers not extirpated by brutal customs in relation to women and children.”
https://www.manchesterhive.com/display/9781526166784/9781526166784.00016.xml
Undoubtedly the theory is economically sound but probably doesn’t endear itself to the intended cannon fodder.
The immediate problem is the global political denial as there is no historical evidence of a population falling below 2.1 children per female has ever recovered so we are facing a declining popultion for sure. The best course is to accept that global population will decline and re organise society so the lower population level is maintained.
Let’s imagine that robots (as in sci-fi) become a thing. Let’s assume that the robots are content to be our servants and not our masters. Let’s imagine that the human population crashes to under a billion. Will utopia be realized?
What is the point of life in perpetual luxury?
The struggle to improve, innovate, and grow is what makes us human.
In a luxurious utopia, there is no need to improve, innovate, or grow. It doesn’t seem like much of a future. More like a stagnation.
When one civilization stagnates, there is always another more hungry one waiting to take its place.
Ain’t that the truth
A man has stabbed to death nine people, including five children, in Suriname’s capital Paramaribo, police in the South American country have said, adding the suspect was wounded and arrested.

Shane Jones says …
“I’m horrified by the prospect, by 2040 there could be 7 million people living in NZ. So if Iwi are concerned…about what they sense is marginalisation, how come no Iwi leader is standing with me and challenging the mass immigration that is coming into NZ?”
Sane is right when I arrived in NZ 30 years ago there approx 3.5 Million now 5+ Million and itsa less pleasant country to live in, however still gald to escaped Stalag Britain now Herr Starmers in charge ,hopefully for not much longer.

Aw jeez, I just upset Winston First supporters🤪
The problem is not NZ1st or ACT its Luxflakes and Notional – just look at how udemocratically he/they treated ACTs treaty bill.
Iwi leaders* have interests in corporations that will do well from 7 million people living in NZ.
* “Aristocracy” or “unelected ruling class” would be a better term.
Maori demand they have a successful “Maori economy”. They have adapted to the modern business world to a point where they can stand on their own two feet without training wheels. They no longer need coddling. Time for them to function on a level playing field with the rest of the NZ business owners.
With the high percentage of Maori MPs it’s also time to cancel the Maori seats.
waikatogirl
Sadly, you couldn’t do that ‘cos to do so would be ‘wacist’ – at least according to the Tamahere party, and if anyone tried to remove these suddenly all important seats, you can be very, very sure that ‘Maori’ would appear in their droves to support whomever is protesting about the proposed removal!
Maori’ will appear NOT because they agree about a removal, but (As was well-illustrated during the ‘Equality for all’ Bill fiasco), they will do so because it concerns ‘Maori’ and ‘solidarity’ is all’ in such situations – even if they have absolutely NO idea about what is being proposed, but are there ‘just because’ (And as a ‘subtext’, they might miss-out on any freebees going past – seriously)!
The shit weather has just arrived with a bang, and that’s keeping the beaches clear.

Yeah wtf happens when you get older. I just have to look at food and I pack on the lard.
Put on 3 kegs since Xmas.
2.3 kg but have just finished up emptying 3 bowls of Christmas puddings for lunch so starting to head back to normal. Did a 20 km bike ride earlier so perhaps the weight will continue to slide off again. Lost 4 kg over the past 2/3 months so been pleased, no great changes, just more summer activity.
Good you HP!
sounds like you need a week long hunting trip on rations to burn it off sagz.
i havent eaten any chocolate for probably over 5mnths… demolished 4 blocks since xmas along with eating leftover pudding for 2 days, suprisingly the scales havent moved but ive had a very energetic last couple days so maybe that helped.
I’m staying at home and fasting today. I have two kg to get rid of over the next month. Coffee for breakfast and cabbage soup (no bread) for lunch.

I have not been paying attention. Are there any doomsday weather warnings? This low is getting quite deep ( although the pressure gradient is not strong) 973mb /hpa is low though and the winds are quite strong on the western side.
Typical tropical cyclones have central sea-level pressures averaging around 960–980 hPa (millibars)
Gusty from the east with heavy rain and then later ‘unsettled air’ with possible thunderstorms.

Of course we would still need teacher only days to discuss important things and planning days and well being days. Its so hard being a teacher these days….

Exec bonus’s subject to similar tax at 99% – seem just as fair to me as screwing profits at levels that are violently usury.

RIP Garrick Tremain.
‘The Taxpayers’ Union today mourns the passing of Garrick Tremain, widely regarded as New Zealand’s finest and most influential political cartoonist of the contemporary era.
Jordan Williams, Executive Director of the Taxpayers’ Union, said:
“Garrick Tremain was a national institution. His intelligence, humour, and insight shaped political debate in this country for generations. He had an extraordinary talent for exposing hypocrisy and absurdity with a pen, and he did so fearlessly. His passing is a genuine loss to us, and to New Zealand’s political and cultural life.”
“For decades, Garrick’s work cut through political spin with intelligence, clarity, and unmistakable wit. His cartoons were never merely humorous; they were incisive, challenging, and often uncomfortable for those in power.”
“In recent years, we were honoured to count Garrick as a supporter of the Taxpayers’ Union. His financial support was generous, principled, and grounded in a shared belief that robust criticism is essential to a healthy democracy,” said Williams.
The Taxpayers’ Union extends its deepest sympathies to Garrick Tremain’s family and friends. His unique contribution to public discourse will be profoundly missed’.

Excellent article here on debunking the “global warming will cause the next Ice Age” hysteria.
“100 shades of irrelevantIf carbon dioxide doesn’t cause much warming in the first place, it can’t cause much cooling when it’s gone, and we know its minor. The hot spot has been missing for 20 years. Most of the warming effect of CO2 is supposed to come from amplification by water vapor in the upper troposphere, but we looked for decades and 28 million radiosondes didn’t find it. Until the climate modelers admit this, apologize and fix their models, their models won’t work. But we all know they can’t fix their models, because that might accidentally “solve” the climate crisis which would be a disaster for all the subsidy seekers.”
