re pic one.
What are they going to pay the producers?
Do you want all producers to be Chinese slaves?
Be careful what you wish for.
Its on the the good price for Dairy goods that is keeping NZ afloat, and despite exporting over 80 billion in goods for the first time ever, we were still in a deficit with our trading account.
What will happen once we get over peak export prices?
Poverty for all again.
gdp increases, govt spending increases but almost everyone gets poorer. its not just cows that are being milked or sheep being fleeced.
Gold diggers ya reackon.
nah, just blatant thieves.
Maybe NZ could export all their farm produce back to England,
I believe that the English farmers are shutting the gate and not replanting crops. All to get up Herr Starmer nose!
It’s not just dairy. All protein is selling at record prices. Even wool is getting $5 a kilo.
its all cyclical
Rents is going back up in the rural areas then?
Buy Omararu, Gore, Winton etc.
Cheap places for Jaffa’s to go.
Close their nirvana of Queenstown.
I was down in Queenstown just recently. It’s fucked. I liked the old Queenstown, but now it’s just too much. Way too commercial. Packed, and I mean packed.
Went there about a month ago. Arrowtown – one could hardly walk in the main road. Coffee shops had queues outside the door. Queenstown itself was chokka. People everywhere. Won’t ever stay in either place again.
When I was born there in 1950 it was OK.
When I left there in ’74 it was getting too busy.
Now …… WTF!
Agreed. If anything Wanaka is even worse.
Where is the next high spot down that way then?
i wouldnt call gore or winton cheap, esp compared to av incomes in the area. cheap compared to auckland house/rent prices tho i guess.
jaffas are too uppity to travel 1.5-2hrs to qtown, theyd be better buying somewhere in central otago, alexandra or cromwell etc and travel would be only an hour at least there youll get a nicer property and the weathers a whole lot better.
Nice try to keep the hordes at bay.
Jafas are a bit like Muslims. They immigrate into an area then proceed to turn it into what they escaped from.
Like Tauranga.
that is so true.
Do they gather in enclaves?
Yep. and they behave like jaffa’s
its too cold for them down here, my good mate is an ex aucklander and his nickname is precious. veeeery precious about everything esp the cold. his family come to visit and they look like theyre going to antarctica and then just whinge the entire time and glad to go home to the shore.
the cold is the same reason we have way less maoris aswell so there is a few upsides of crap cold weather 90% of the year.
Most of them have moved to One Tree Point or Kerikeri.
I don’t care where they go as long as not here!
You can be happy in life once you understand that happiness is not the purpose of life.
pretty depressing once you realise youre a tool of the govt and the rich tho.
One of purposes of life is to stay out of the path of the State juggernaut and find a way to become financially independent*.

Paid “Maori Day Off” are well entrenched in by the previous government of Ardern & Hipkins along with Greens & Te Partli endorsements of these governmental contracts.
It all seem to be based on those “Principles”, now legal tikanga of Toitū Te Tiriti, is tupuna inspired, tiriti led, mana motuhake driven and mokopuna focused.

Minister Karen Chhour Admits Changing Race-Based Leave ‘Will Be Tough’
Set to start on the topic, & interview : https://youtu.be/MybpciJlEIQ?t=335
Total time is 27 mins 31 secs : 12th February, 2026 : Duncan Garner Podcast
…. Duncan investigates reports of race-based cultural leave entitlements within Oranga Tamariki.
We look at the 2023 PSA collective contract that allows Māori staff discretionary paid leave for cultural commitments, a move Duncan argues creates a system of “two New Zealands” based on race.
Minister and ACT MP Karen Chhour joins the podcast to share her frustration.
While she clarifies that ministers cannot legally interfere in existing union contracts, she remains firm that the public service needs to focus on the safety of children rather than dividing staff by race. ….
This another part to achieve the goals of the He Puapua Report as shown in the United Nations Declaration of Indigenous Rights, UNDRIP.
So it has been a quiet way to increase the number of staff, plus the cost, to meet the short fall as staff slip out on leave.
For fucks sake, belittling Ministry to OT, OranguTans as backward as the cursed Oranga Tamariki OT, to hide & shelter its mismanagement & ommissions, etc. when it should be raised up to be the Ministry of Children or once was CYPS Child, Youth and Family Services.
———- ————- ————- ————-
Ani O’Brien has a good article on this as she has researched other departments, and considered how this all works, with the extra costs etc..
12 Feb., 2026 …. Chhour shouldn’t theatrically pick a fight she can’t win, but we need to get an acknowledgement that these clauses should never have been allowed into any agreement in the first place.
Once they’re embedded, they become politically radioactive and financially untouchable.
When it comes time to renegotiate the clause must be removed, but more importantly it seems we need to look at how we can legislate to prevent future governments from signing racial discrimination into collective agreements.
https://substack.com/@aniobrien/p-187575743
“Principles” that Luxon & the National Party are very much aligned to & accept as obligations for Co-Governance.
“Principles” that Peters & the NZFirst Party have step by step, not found to legislate out, which now seems to become a game of
musical chairs, to maori seats. The old bait & switch. …. yeah right …As Karen Chour touched on, it will be up to the voters to really decide if this is the systemic “Principles” they really want.??
The only “principles” that National should bother themselves with were their founding ones. Those that Keith Holyoake spelled out in 1959:
“The National Party believes in a property-owning democracy. … We believe in the maximum degree of personal freedom and the maximum degree of individual choice for our people. We believe in the least interference necessary with individual rights, and the least possible degree of state interference.”
nope. Holland before that.

Human Rights Act 1993. See b.
What they’ve done is blatantly illegal. There are no carve-outs for this as far as I can tell.
Employment
(1)
Where an applicant for employment or an employee is qualified for work of any description, it shall be unlawful for an employer, or any person acting or purporting to act on behalf of an employer,—
(a)
to refuse or omit to employ the applicant on work of that description which is available; or
(b)
to offer or afford the applicant or the employee less favourable terms of employment, conditions of work, superannuation or other fringe benefits, and opportunities for training, promotion, and transfer than are made available to applicants or employees of the same or substantially similar capabilities employed in the same or substantially similar circumstances on work of that description;
As for her saying that there’s probably nothing that can be done about it:
“In New Zealand, if an employment contract contains illegal provisions, the Employment Relations Authority (ERA) can order remedies such as financial compensation, compliance orders, or penalties. The ERA may also modify or sever unreasonable clauses to make the agreement enforceable.”
I suggest you send those bits of information to Karen Chhour, FJA because you can guarantee her advisors have not looked at that or have deliberately with held it.
It’s possible an email to Karen will not get past her advisors but it is still worth a go. Maybe send a copy to Seymour to get around any censoring in Chhour’s office.
The only snag is only an affected employee can bring a case to the ERA, and I doubt anyone is going to stick their head above the parapet.
Her unwillingness to act in her capacity as a minister is not justified, however – there are at least two grounds upon which she can and should intervene.
Send it to the dedicated email for fixing things.
Not sure what it is called but they do have one.
To report government waste or provide feedback on ACT’s “cutting waste” policy, you can contact the party through their official parliamentary or party channels:
ACT’s “Cutting Waste” platform focuses on identifying and slashing low-value government spending to fund tax cuts and critical services. While they often run social media campaigns inviting Kiwis to share examples of “waste,” these standard contact addresses are the formal way to submit information.
They didn’t even acknowledge my last email, despite it pointing to waste and needless Maorification in a government department.
Your email went into the Evil White Racist file.
This racist contract for KO will be the beginning of a long list. Bet we’re in for a never ending unravelling of Jacinda approved contracts throughout govt departments.
One of those racist requests was for three weeks of maori time off. So are the vulnerable children they are there to protect and keep safe? What has happened while the staff are away on their latest racist jolly?
I have no major problem with ‘special rules for special people’, but first you would need to prove you are special.
A DNA test showing 51% Maori would do it.
Is there unique Maori DNA or is it indistinguishable from Cook Island or other East Polynesian DNA?
A mate of mine has been looking at this lately and reckons they came from the Cook Islands.
and arent cook island folk pretty much just fat lazy early version of taiwanese?
I’ve seen a doco on the historical site in the Cook Islands acknowledging where the canoes left from.
Ah, but which canoes?
And how many survived, and after drifting across how much ocean were they still all together?
And anyway, apparently that Maori fella hauled the land from the sea when they got here.
A bunch of sailboats can’t all leave together and arrive in the same place at the same time. But then they did go to Antartica I’m told.
It seems that, of late, the brakes have gone on further research into Maori DNA. The cynic in me suggests that Treaty claims might get a haircut & identification of a warrior gene** could disadvantage the Tangata Whenua who tend to settle problems with “the bash”.
The article doesn’t query why police may have developed a bias but there we have it.
https://www.taiuru.co.nz/the-dangerous-game-of-dna-testing/
Sorry McDuff, but I beg to differ. Why should someone 51% , or even 100% if they existed, be entitled to unlimited paid leave when I am not. It is blatantly wrong.
None of the special people could pass that test.
Fractional inhabitants.
orini kaipara claims to be 100% full blooded. shes got whitey in her family tree but apparently mustve been recessive gene so dosent show on dna test.
Did she consult her meth supplier about that?
She looks like a full-on meth head eh. Terrible. Looks like someone just threw her face on.
She is obviously a liar. Colour me surprised.

The video in the X post from @joeroganhq is an AI-generated deepfake, not an authentic speech or interview with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. It uses edited footage of him in a congressional setting with fake Fox News overlays to promote a conspiracy theory about pharmaceutical companies suppressing a natural remedy for high blood pressure, tying it to Epstein files. The “action” referenced is a vague “natural method” that supposedly takes just 30 seconds a day to target a “sticky chemical compound” (claimed to be a cheap emulsifier in processed foods) that clogs arteries, leading to hypertension. However, the video doesn’t detail what the method actually is—it’s a teaser urging viewers to “click below” for a step-by-step guide, which is typical of scam ads selling supplements or e-books.
Similar claims often point to breathing exercises like inspiratory muscle strength training (IMST), where you use a handheld device to perform about 30 resisted inhalations daily. Research shows this can lower systolic blood pressure by around 9 mm Hg after six weeks of consistent use. 5 Other evidence-based natural approaches to reducing blood pressure include regular aerobic exercise (like 30 minutes of walking most days), cutting sodium intake to under 1,500 mg daily, increasing potassium-rich foods, and stress-reduction techniques like meditation. 0 1 If you’re dealing with high blood pressure, consult a doctor rather than relying on unverified online videos.
If you consult a doctor, you are likely to be prescribed statins or some other Big Pharma garbage. It’s a tossup either wa.
Statins are a profitable piece of crap. No one needs them other than Pharma.

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2026/02/video-trump-announces-termination-obama-era-endangerment-finding
This is huge!
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration on Thursday revoked a scientific finding that long has been the central basis for U.S. action to regulate greenhouse gas emissions and fight climate change, the most aggressive move by the Republican president to roll back climate regulations.
The rule finalized by the Environmental Protection Agency rescinds a 2009 government declaration known as the endangerment finding that determined that carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases threaten public health and welfare. The Obama-era finding is the legal underpinning of nearly all climate regulations under the Clean Air Act for motor vehicles, power plants and other pollution sources that are heating the planet.
The repeal eliminates all greenhouse gas emissions standards for cars and trucks and could unleash a broader undoing of climate regulations on stationary sources such as power plants and oil and gas facilities, experts say. Legal challenges are near certain.
President Donald Trump called the move “the single largest deregulatory action in American history, by far,” while EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin called the endangerment finding “the Holy Grail of federal regulatory overreach.”
Trump called the endangerment finding “one of the greatest scams in history,” claiming falsely that it “had no basis in fact” or law. “On the contrary, over the generations, fossil fuels have saved millions of lives and lifted billions of people out of poverty all over the world,” Trump said at a White House ceremony.
====================================================================
Reporter or writer, although scientists across the globe agree that carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases are driving catastrophic heat waves and storms, droughts and sea level rise.
Really?

From Wiseowl’s link:
….”they forced the hated start-stop feature onto American consumers, which unnecessarily shuts off a car’s engine when you stop at a red light”….
Great. I drove my son’s latest ute before Xmas. It has the feature & it’s lethal. You judge that you have sufficient room to make a right hand turn, you put your foot down to go & find that the engine has shut itself off! Okay it starts again the second your foot touches the accelerator but the delay has turned a safe manoeuvre into a dice with death.
And the outcome of Trump’s announcement? China, Japan & other car manufacturers will get rid of the feature because it costs money. The Yanks will rejoice. Those like ourselves governed by halfwits who believe in anthropological climate change will continue to play the stupid game. And pay dearly for it.

Has Any Of The Preferential Racism In The Public Sector Changed?
Michael Laws questions whether any of the preferential racism in the public sector has changed (and uses Oranga Tamariki job positions as an example).
AI isn’t likely to wipe out all farming jobs – but it is changing who bears the risks.
By Sophia Duan & David A. Fleming-Muñoz*
The global economy is bracing for major job disruption as artificial intelligence (AI) advances and spreads across industries. Experts have been warning about this shift for years, and fiercely debating whether the benefits of an AI revolution will outweigh the cost of mass displacement in the workforce.
Few sectors expose this tension as clearly as agriculture. Pressure on farming is intensifying. Global food demand is projected to rise by 35%–56% by 2050, driven by population growth, urbanisation and changing diets.
This helps explain why AI is increasingly promoted as a productivity solution to produce more food with fewer inputs, under more volatile conditions.
Yet on farms, enthusiasm for AI is often tempered by caution. And that caution is not simply about whether jobs will disappear. A deeper concern is risk, and who bears responsibility if the technology fails.
Technological changeAgriculture is not a controlled environment. Farming is biological, dynamic and deeply context-dependent, shaped by weather, soils, ecosystems and animal behaviour. Because of this complexity, AI is (and will continue to be) rarely used to replace people outright. Instead, it automates specific tasks.
Automation has been a big part of the farming story for decades, long before AI arrived on the scene. From mechanised harvesting and GPS-guided tractors to automated milking systems and variable-rate fertiliser application, technology has gradually changed how farms operate.
But AI is different. Rather than replacing farmers, AI is mainly being used to support decision-making in environments that are too complex, variable and context-dependent to be fully automated.
Most current uses of AI support monitoring and optimisation: detecting crop stress from satellite imagery, predicting irrigation needs, tracking livestock behaviour or flagging disease and weed risks. Farmers and farm workers still interpret the information and decide how to respond.

does mrs hunty drink or just there to ensure you dont play up?
you like hospital food ?
Nah, mate, I mainly drink cold beer to start, then crack into wine later. Pretty steady after that.. unless someone says something that triggers me off..Mrs Hunty drinks, but she’s ok. 5 ft nothin 45kg she’s gotta be careful though..
That’s the cardboard cutout. Hunty’s the dwarf with hair growing out of his ears & a clapped out ladyboy going through his wallet.

‘Deep sense of frustration’ as remote North Island hotel ‘forced’ to close its pubSam SmithFebruary 13, 2026 • 2:39pm
A rural lower North Island hotel will close the doors to its pub on Sunday after it was told to stop serving alcohol, an order it called “unnecessarily aggressive, [and] punitive”.
The Castlepoint Hotel near Whakataki was instructed by the Alcohol Regulatory and Licensing Authority to immediately stop serving after it breached the conditions of an earlier order.
The Masterton District Council licensing committee decided in November not to renew the hotel’s liquor licence, citing a raft of issues, LDR reported.
The hotel was then granted a reprieve before Christmas, which allowed alcohol to be sold pending the outcome of an appeal.
https://www.stuff.co.nz/nz-news/360938013/remote-wairarapa-pub-announces-closure-after-liquor-licence-not-renewed
well they were dumbarses and made dumb decisions.
im sure theres been alot more than that because clearly they had a close eye on them for a reason.
most rural watering holes also pretty much encourage drink driving and everything that goes with it so meh its probs a good thing… sortve, but the unintended consequence will be pissheads will drive further to a different watering hole.
imo we have far too many pubs/bar/bottlestores etc, about time there was a half decent cull and thin them out a fair bit. causes more harm than meth etc and its in our faces everywhere and outlets every few hundred meters which is OTT.
The public bars of old are vanishing fast replaced by expensive boutique wankeries serving overpriced wine & spirits. But having wine in supermarkets has IMO instead of encouraging moderate consumption introduced a generation or two of permanently pissed housewives.
Its not the availability. In Italy you can by spirits 24/7 in supermarkets. Its the culture.
yup me and my family suffered for years all cuz of that under $10 wine section although around here you cant get it in supermarkets due to the licencing trusts but still plenty of bottlestores, permanently pissed isnt fun for anyone!
mrs sb will be 1year sober in 3 or 4wks time 🙂 life changing stuff for her, me, the kids and our whole family/marriage dynamic.
Bloody good on her. And yourself. Living with someone dedicated to the bottle isn’t a ton of fun as my CEO could testify.
Put yourself on a pedestal. If you hadn’t been worth giving it up for she wouldn’t have done it. At least that’s what did it for me.
mate id given up and was ready to leave her, she hit rock bottom, the kids started to despise her and she called me one day about 930am crying wanting to either die or go sober she didnt know which.
i got her onto naltrexone the very next day and she hasnt touched a drop since, those meds work wonders and mrs sb came off them after a few months and on her own since.
just had to rewire her brain and break the habit, i knew that was what it would take but working full time its impossible to police and trying to control someones addiction like that just leads to retaliatory binges.
that day she called me she had been in a constant state of inebriation for well over a month, literally wouldnt have been fully sober for a minute just constant top ups and mostly minced.
alcohol killed her mother, 2 uncles, an aunt and her cousins are also chronic pissheads. literally one whole side of her family are/were drunks. touchwood i hope we’ve broken the cycle.
not enough ppl know about naltrexone, id googled shit over the years and never came across it and it wasnt until michael laws had a guy on from auckland talking about it… still took 8 or 9mnths of trying to get mrs sb on it until she accepted help tho. no one down here knew anything about it and mrs sb refused to go to anyone that knew her so i contacted that guy from laws show and was the best 400bux ever spent. the first week or so sober wouldve paid for the consult anyways.

Tough story, mate. Big ups to ya. Even a free hug.🫂
Should have seen what it was like decades ago. Two drunk people in a pub is nothing, try the majority.
Its bloody miles from anywhere.
Ask Naaska he will have watered there a few times while picking up stock.
even when i was just legal drinking age it was like that and just got tougher and more expensive so its declined quite alot.
i was fortunate my parents werent drinkers so never exp the real crazy days, mrs sb however grew up on a pub floor… literally, she got dragged to the pub for her mums drinking sessions right from newborn. typical upbringing for many kiwi kids of the time i guess.
You’re not wrong. I worked part time for five years in a pub sorting out drunks. Most went peacefully & some put on an act. In those days the art of the successful publican involved separating pissheads from their money with the minimum backlash & maximum efficiency. Mine host & my employer was an expert.
The amount of grog that regulars knocked back was unreal by today’s standards. Three or four jugs, a double whiskey for the road & a flagon to take home to drink watching TV was nothing. And then they’d drive there.
As a dry alkie I should be on the side of the wowsers but I’m not. The workingman’s few drinks at the end of the day was a needed social outlet. The naysayers haven’t done much to drop the amount of pure alcohol consumed on a per head basis. Instead they’ve moved it into homes & garages & replaced beer with alco pops & wine.

Christopher Luxon’s Power Levy: This Is Tax In Disguise!
Duncan takes both Chris Luxon and Chris Hipkins to task over broken promises and the “semantic gymnastics” being used to justify new costs on Kiwis. If it walks like a tax and hits your wallet like a tax, it is a tax, no matter what the government calls it.
1. there are better ways of funding it… like cutting wasteful spending esp precious labour projects cuz this is to fix their/arderns fuckup.
2. call it the “arderns captain call levy” just so kiwis are reminded of the cause every time they bemoan their power bill.
3. chipkins, shut the fuck up youre part liable for this. would you rather black/brownouts or a fucking tax/levy? its shit but i know which id prefer.
4. start a list, most houses have smartmeters now so the techs there. those that opppse the lng thing and the tax can opt onto the list. at times when the lng is needed their power can automatically be cut, im happy for then to not be charged the levy if they live their virtue signal in the dark… i doubt many would remain on the list when they realise how often its needed!
5. where the fuck are the other options to be tabled?????
lng importation is a bandaid, a stop gap. be fucking bold and put some real and reliable options on the table. large hydro, coal power, table the nuclear option it wont happen but it can start the conversation, plus it can be used like trump style negotiation… start off wanting nuclear in auckland and theyll be grateful for going with a huge coal plant here in southland or a few dead snails and a mega dam on the west coast.
think big, think bold, grow a fucking spine and be the first govt in decades to do something actual beneficial to nz for generations to come
