Luv it when useless cunts criticise a man who, had covid not intervened, would have made AIR NZ what it should have been.
Who has actually set it on a course for the future. Has new planes on order and has dealt with the covid fall out, the engine debacle and streamlined lots of their systems.

Comment like that from someone who spends his day trying to get to the beach as an aspiration in his life doesn’t say much for that aspiration. Might as well have stayed in Thailand.

Recall, for a moment, who was the boss before him.
Recall what you said last week or even yesterday about him. In that case, you would be right.

Then we have a broken-down truck driver with a fear of flying, adding his wisdom.
A person whose perspective of people is whether they are rag and bones or not. FFS, how pathetic can you get?
No wonder the sheep didn’t like him.

I can only say I have always had a good experience, but then I am organised and polite.

Perhaps those pointing their finger should look at the person the other fingers are pointing back at.

How much more disgraceful an attitude can you get?

Well Viking, you’re lucky with your Air NZ experiences. I used to think Jetstar were the pits, but from Covid onwards, Air NZ have been expensive, unreliable, and some of their staff are not that great.

Forgot their wokeness, too. Fucking shitarse bro music playing before and after the flight, nary a white person to be seen in their safety videos, and lots of Mowri questions in their quiz.

I will definitely be going Jetstar whenever possible.

And an overweight steward is a safety hazard IMO. It’s bad enough being in a high-rise during a building evacuation and being stuck on the stairs in what could be a burning building, because some honking great landwhale is waddling down the stairs. A plane would be worse.

Tend to agree with your comment re: the former exec, though – he boosted sales at Walmart so presumably can walk the walk, unlike some at that level.

Well, I would have to say that Jet Star were the pits and there is and was plenty of evidence for that. Qantus will use Jet Star and their own power to destroy ANZ.
Then see what you get.
The person who bought wokeness to ANZ was Luxon, so you can hardly blame Foran for that.

As for previously, various people, like Fife, were woke buggers and worse, he and others drove everything to Auckland, stopped flights out of Hamilton and Rotorua to overseas, so Jet Star is welcome to return them. Many here in the bay will be pleased.

Competition is great.
And yep, he got that job on his ability to make things happen.

Oh, and if a plane is burning, you have other problems.
Often wondered why they bother with life jackets. Is its in the water and goin down ya fucked anyway.

And he got the job on his ability to strategise and implement.
Consider how many applicants there would have been for a top job like that. Hundreds out of which 10 would stand out, 4 would get to a short list.

I wasn’t pinning any wokeness on him.

Yes, Jetstar were the pits, but Air NZ engaged in anti-competitive behaviour to almost force them right out of the market. And yes, it would be just as bad if Jetstar forced Air NZ out.

I disagree with your comment re: the plane burning. Plenty of planes land with smoke and/or fire somewhere on the aircraft. Being able to rapidly and efficiently exit could be the difference between life and death, and anyone – passengers or crew, who are overweight and almost certainly slower than others, are a safety hazard.

Apart from that, they are greater payload and need more seat space, so no problem with charging people based on width and weight.
Should be part of the ticket cost.

fly freight and thats what you do.

Well, behave like a nasty person towards others, and why wouldn’t you expect it back?

You now understand perhaps how others feel.
Although people in those places never read trash, their staff do, and their organisation does.

Because that’s what you just did to someone you have never met, had a conversation with or even understand and yet without context, you made that remark.
Without even considering any circumstances other than your own, you made that comment.

He didn’t get that job by being incapable. Air NZ is still flying today despite all the misfortune that a company could handle and despite the Qantas, Emirates, Jet Star doing everything in their power and underhandedly to take it down.
That takes enormous strategic ability to survive. ( including dealing with Jacinda and Robertson et al.)

But you have no idea what these things take and look aound an see how many other companies have gone and are still to go yet. Engineering is crashing currently, building has bombed, and there’s a hell of a lot more to fall yet if you look at the IRD site on their stats.

So next time, before you write crap like that, consider just what the person has acheive and it wasn’t sitting on some beach in the sun.

You should have been there in the days of NAC & being an air hostess was a career to see beauty school drop outs through to retirement.

I hate flying with a passion & no experience was worse than the Wellington to Christchurch flight to pick up a truck the boss had bought on his recent SI holiday.

I was stuck in an aisle seat & across the aisle was some elderly schoolboy the fat air hostess was trying to set up a tryst with. The terror of being above ground was only matched by the smell of two ton Theresa’s half wiped arse waved in my face as she arranged her sex life with the luckless virgin.

Never again!

So you are frightened of flying then. There’s aname for that phobia.

Why didn’t you just fess up that, actually, you are the problem?
Probably pissed at the time as well.

Imagine all the shit people Hotesses have to deal with in a day and they do, like any front-line people.

he was having a sulk yesterday when i reminded him, rekons his investments are down 40% across the board on average.
yup blame him its much easier and more funny. told him to tell me his next investment so i can go and short it and take his money, he wasnt impressed.

this is someone btw thats constantly broke, continually borrows from mummy and daddy to pay his bills and when he has a good month at work and comes into money he insists on investing rather than paying down any of his 700k debt… winner. still a good cnut but just terrible with money, hes trying to buy a boat right now but i rekon his awsome luck itll sink first time out on the water!

I recently watched a video that came up on a feed.
Lady was an expert in relationships.
What she recommends is that if you want a long life, lots of sex is the answer.
All to do with getting the hormones to work in both partners.
And that takes relationships working, so my advice is not a cattle prod but sme subtle other moves.
She had good reasoning for all that she said.
Mind you, I think she was possibly talking about normal people. Not sure if alternative arrangements exist.

Not for slow readers but a wet Sunday afternoon may afford time to digest Expose News’ excellent wrap up of the psych ops the state directed against its citizens during the Covid scam.

https://expose-news.com/2026/02/14/covid-19-psyops-and-technocracy-chapter-7/

#. “Key aspects of the psychological warfare included a “protecting others” motif, emotional manipulation using guilt, shifting blame onto the public, creating the idea of the “enemy within,” creating scapegoats, persuasion-by-association, dehumanisation and encouraging citizens to police and punish each other.”

As the sheep forget the horrors of the recent past the next phase of the campaign to get us to beg for more controls & surveillance creeps closer.

After this weekend even the most devout Green voting Wellingtonians must be having doubts. The latest storm porn from Stuff includes advice on how to deal with airborne sewage:

#. “Wellington City Council is urging residents to stay off south coast beaches and take extra care outdoors as severe southerly winds and heavy rain are forecast over the next 24 hours.”

#. “Residents are urged to stay out of the water and off beaches along the south coast. The biggest health risk is from direct contact with contaminated water, including swimming, surfing or eating kaimoana from affected areas.”

Fair enough BUT clean, green NZ has plumbed new lows without a dairy farm in sight:

#. “In windy conditions, there is a low risk sea spray containing bugs could cause illness. People are advised to keep windows closed during large waves and strong winds as a precaution.”

You know your shit’s really coming at you when the next lungful of life giving air contains a chunk of a fellow citizen’s turd!

Don’t know what the fuss is about. In Johannesburg there is a “river” The Jukskei, that runs from JHB out to the country. There are informal settlements along the banks in many places. Granddaughter works for Watercare, and they offered help, but were refused.
All the electrics are underwater, most likely years old, (remember in the cyclone that was what happened to the Wairoa power substation)

Reports indicate they have now started screening all the wastewater so that the solids are removed. Turds are not solids.
In Auckland, they have shelves loaded with pack men and teeth and all sorts that make their way there. (vibrators?)
Those bloody wipes are a huge problem as they go to the tip. Don’t disintegrate and collect fat.

Send a poacher to catch a thief.

After a public outcry, the Government is imposing a two-year ban on taking shellfish from rockpools north of Auckland.
The ban is for all of the Whangaparāoa Peninsula, and further north at Kawau Bay and Ōmaha Bay.
Locals have said more people are taking sea life and beaches were being stripped bare.
Oceans and Fisheries Minister Shane Jones said on Sunday most people did the right thing “and gather only what is appropriate and legal”, but others were exploiting and collapsing ecosystems.

The ban will take effect from March 12 and will be enforced by fishery officers.
Oceans and Fisheries Under-Secretary Jenny Marcroft said officials “have been directed to explore how community volunteers can be supported to encourage visitors to do the right thing”.

https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/two-year-ban-on-taking-shellfish-and-seaweed-from-rockpools-north-of-auckland/2E3ZEN5PLVEFDARG3C54QGZJEM/

it gets assayed by the refinery when i sell it, without fancy lab equipment the testing available to average folk is pretty limited and not that accurate, just for jewellery which has rather large jumps in purity.
i have some yukon gold, its 86% and you can visibly tell its far less pure as its quite alot darker due to the likes of copper/nickel etc.

I appreciate that forecasting weather on a narrow, steep tract of land at the arse end of the Pacific Ocean is not exactly simple but I do wonder if anyone has a clue about what’s going on.

Instance Masterton which according to Metservice is due for about 25mm of rain before midnight which isn’t exactly a big deal. Contrast this with Weatherwatch who are shooting for 60mm over the same period. This would cause surface flooding on the flats & many farmers on hill country out towards the coast will be shitting bricks.

Who’s right, who’s wrong & why the massive difference?

swellmap uses it too, same deal its shit over summer/early autumn.
windy i only use for wind, swell and freezing levels in the hills.

often it tells us its pissing down and its blue sky and not one drop, this years been exceptionally bad. i only use forecasts for the wind and just look at the horizons on the day to predict if their rain forecast is going to be any good.
