The supposed premise was that the vaccinated would not TRANSMIT infection to others. We already knew by then that the jabs did nothing to prevent INFECTION, but the NZ government were still clinging to the “prevents transmission” theory.
But was this (the entire premise for employment mandates) based on science or ideology?
By the November 2021 Employment Mandates, NZ had almost solely the Delta variant.
The worlds leading health authorities already knew that Pfizer mRNA vaccine (Comirnaty) did not meaningfully prevent infection, viral shedding, or transmission against the Delta variant
Here’s the evidence:
*27 July 2021 — CDC reverses indoor mask guidance for the fully vaccinated. Reason: “Emerging evidence on the Delta variant” shows vaccinated people can transmit the virus.

[1] If you died “with Covid” within 30 days of the vaccination your death was counted as an unvaccinated Covid death.
[2] Since both “Covid” and the “Vaccines” created similar symptoms, if you died of the Vaccine within those 30 days it was automatically a Covid death, as it “takes 30 days” to work.
[3] To go to a cafe, restaurant, visit a relative in care / hospital you had to be vaccinated. However so long as you had the piece of paper, you could enter. You could get vaccinated at 11am you could enter at 11.30,
So if got vaccinated at 11am you were protected and couldn’t transmot, but if you dropped dead 29 days later, you were “unprotected”.
[4] One poor chap I know about, retired, but in good health, went to visit a family member, as he had been doing daily up until the vaccine certificate caper. He arrived mid morning and was told that he could not enter without the certificate. He was told however, that he was in luck as the mobile vaccinator was due there at between 11 and 12.
He was against getting the jab, and refused, However with no other choice, he waited. He got the shot and gave him the certificate, and the facility let him in immediately and he visited the family member. As it was now lunch time in the facility, so he left to go home to have his own lunch and return in the afternoon.
He never did return. because he dropped dead around 3pm.
This is far from an isolated case.
[5] And the real anomaly? Despite Delta being mild, 2022 was the biggest year of excess deaths in NZ, with over 7,600 deaths above the average. One excess death every 20 hours. And they weren’t Covid deaths.
Yup. Pointed out a reputable study on viral loads when making a submission to the outfit I was working in at the time, but of course it was “considered” and ignored.
I even wrote a rare, polite, email to Ardern prior to imposition of the mandates saying she had an opportunity to stop what she was doing and essentially save herself.

We went solar and electric car. The costs described in that article are over the top.
It does not have to cost anything like that article says to go green.
Solar has a payback of about 6 years. If you invest in solar you will get a return on investment of about 15%. After six years you makeca profit off your investment for another 19 years or so.
Electric cars are more expensive upfront but have almost zero upkeep expenses. Our 2013 Nissan LEAF’s only maintenance costs for the last 11 years had been the cost of WOF’s and new tires – that’s all! No oil changes, no servicing costs, no tune-ups! The cost of driving electric is incredibly lower than buying petrol. Put some solar on the roof and charge that way.

in southland and east otago areas for example will be at minimum double the payback period as you are and we have to go double the size from the get go to make it worthwhile.
im looking at 12-15kw system and 20-40kw of battery with possible upgrade in a few years to off grid if it stacks up with rising energy costs.
even with the above system we will still be importing every month but if i can save a few hundred per month on power bill ill be happy as. once kids are older and move out we would be able to export most days… family chew the power, i miss the $120 power bill days, havent had one under $600 for almost a decade.
If ours reached $600 I’d shit myself & we’d move into a cave. That said I’m looking at last month’s extortion letter from Meridian & note that we used just over 300 KWH for $120, This is on top of the LPG used for cooking & hot water which is running at about $180 per 45 kg cylinder.
But what grinds my gears is the nearly $2/day just to be connected to the grid. Until you can tell the parasites to shove their lines & charges where the sun don’t shine you’re paying $700 plus per year for fuck all.
Solar with batteries plus a reasonable sized diesel generator for backup must be the way to go.
