Interesting. I mean, I’ve always assumed that understanding biological sex was fairly important in farming.
Generally speaking, farmers don’t try to milk bulls. They don’t put two rams together and wonder why no lambs arrive. Dairy, sheep, beef, alpacas… farming requires operating on the radical idea that males and females are different.
Even horticulture isn’t immune from biology. Plenty of fruit and seed crops depend on understanding male and female plants, pollination, and reproduction. Nature is old-fashioned like that. Bloody bigots.
Apparently, though, once Rural Women NZ leave the paddock, or their regional town, they’re susceptible to the same psychological warfare that makes women in any organisation terrified to admit they know what a woman is and that it MATTERS. biology becomes terribly controversial.
Maybe the cows should identify as milked and tofu should be allowed to be marketed as animal protein.
Who knew that acknowledging the same biological reality every farmer relies on every day would become taboo in rural New Zealand?
But seriously, I know a few women involved with Rural Women and they are not happy about this. Just like most of our stupid captured women’s groups they’re full of women who don’t want to be the one to be called out for pushing back. They see what is said about women like me or @jk_rowling (not remotely suggesting I’m on her level of awesome) & what we deal with & they stay quiet.
But at the end of the day polling shows individual women think this is nonsense. It’s just a pity basically every organisation was corrupted with prioritising men who demand to be seen as women.

Voters who were sick of both big parties have them ‘a go’, thinking they would work with both sides.
The Teals were actually clueless, hard left marxist morons, dressed up as metropolitan mums. Once elected they voted for every woke wankery rubbish they could, and were punished in 2025 accordingly.
The important part for you to understand is this, the Australian Election Study (AES), a post-election survey found the 2022 Teal voters, had voted for the blow parties in the previous election:
• ~ 31% voted Labor
• ~ 24% voted Greens
• ~🚩18% voted Coalition (centre right)
• The rest voted for other parties or were new voters. (Note our Nov election is expected to have 130,000 new voters come of age since the 2023 election)
The name teal comes from metaphorical mixing of the colour blue (centre right) and Green (climate and ‘moderate left’)
National has a ‘blue greens’ arm, it’s the progressive Paris Agreement worshiping branch of the garbage Nats. It’s a group that Luxon leads.

It seems to me that TOP is surfing the wave of DEI, in particular in the name of “equity” to be achieved for all, for the sake of the community.
To consider that many groups have been primed by the equity pay for all, that was stopped.
What it will also do is lower the price of land also.
Who will would want to buy the land to be locked into paying the ongoing land tax.
It will also have priority over the bank who may have a first mortgage.
It will then become a part of the calculation as the banks do, in just what one can afford in “outgoings”, to what one can afford to pay in interest only, to what the repayments may be.
Some more fine tuning of the LV % will eventuate, just like how PAYE taxes have the different marginal rates, and GST is now not so good as the old 10% so increased. While they now talk of complications to allow for like food exemptions.
What is not explained in the political world & the fine print, is the intent of Geogism land value tax, is that government should be able to collect what one can pay in interest to a bank.
To be comparable to what one would pay in rent.
The siren call is that then is to benefit, shared with the rest of the “community” for the “public” good, which is now set up to run even more now, than what Henry George first envisioned over a century ago.
More to the point – if I purchase something, why should I be taxed for owning it? Is there a furniture tax? Sports equipment tax? Lawnmower tax?

Amazing that such a basic piece of knowledge was unknown to Labour’s proposed Deputy Prime Minister. I think I have known that for 30 or so years. It is very common knowledge.
The answer, incidentally, is that the Crown set up local government by statute, so the Crown doesn’t pay taxes to a subsidiary body. It would also create perverse incentives if the Department of Conservation had to pay a massive rates bill on all the national parks it conserves. Then you would have real pressure to reduce, not grow, the conservation estate

If you want any more evidence that Christopher Luxon doesn’t see New Zealand as a country to be built, but as a product to be sold to wealthy overseas visitors, look no further than the answer he gave Chris Hipkins when asked to front up to the fact that New Zealand has recorded the highest number of hospitality liquidations on record.
Hipkins asked a simple question: what does giving $6.1 million to a French tyre company do to address that crisis?
Christopher Luxon’s answer was that there are eight billion people in the world, many of whom are foodies, and that they would be more likely to travel to New Zealand.
First of all, Christopher – the survival of our hospitality sector requires breadth of participation, not the depth of a few “foodies’” wallets.
The fact that bro is trying to sell us on the idea that he can solve a nationwide industry crisis with a niche lifestyle demographic is absurd!

Surely the next step is to make the insurance companies responsible for doing the building inspections rather than the council and the ratepayers.
The council can inspect the ground, perhaps, and the water certainly, but why should ratepayers be responsible for anything else?

The liberation of the city of Konstantinovka gives Russia an opportunity to envelop the last heavily fortified area under Ukrainian control in Donbass, former US Army officer and military commentator Stanislav Krapivnik has said.
Moscow announced the liberation of the city on Friday after weeks of intensive combat in the area. Konstantinovka is located at the southernmost tip of the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration, a string of cities in the northwest of Russia’s Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), which Ukrainian troops have turned into a single, heavily fortified fortress, riddled with a vast system of reinforced trenches, tunnels, and bunkers. The city lies some 15km southeast of Kramatorsk, with the small town of Druzhkovka located in between.
Gaining control of Konstantinovka opens new opportunities for Moscow to advance on the last Ukrainian stronghold in Donbass, Krapivnik told RT on Saturday.
“The last portion of the Ukrainian fortifications, real hard fortifications that have been prepared since 2014, is between Druzhkovka and Slavyansk… with Konstantinovka being the linchpin at the bottom of this wall,” he said.
“This is very important because this also allows Russian forces to go around Druzhkovka and Kramatorsk and start to hit them in a double envelopment,” he added.
The situation for Ukrainian frontline troops in the area appears to be dire, with both attempts to hold their positions and efforts to retreat likely to result in heavy losses due to “Russian drone dominance, Russian artillery, and Russian aviation,” Krapivnik believes.
“At this point, the only way they’re coming out of this alive is to surrender. Once they’re spotted, they either stay in place and get destroyed or they run and get destroyed,” he said.
