Companies once faced a maximum fine of $600,000. Now it’s $10 million.

Another major change made it unlawful to buy, offer or provide insurance against criminal fines or infringement fees imposed for offending. This means fines can no longer be paid by a farm’s insurance company.

Spent the weekend playing cards at the National Clubs Euchre Championships at Christchurch. There was a very good sprinkling of players from the North Island and particularly from around the Auckland, 320 players in total.
Of those from the North Island was really surprised at the large number of our indigenous race and surrounding islands. They could be be quite clearly identified by their manner of dress and associated wearing attachments, waddling size advertisements for KFC, barcodes for instant treaty payouts and other speech clues.
This biggest thing I did notice, as a poor little old white boy from the depths of the South Island, was the extreme visual difference of those of the same race residing down our way. Must be the lack of sun or something as there was definitely 50 shades of darker present.

The Maori Party wants all New Zealand prisons closed by 2040.
Leader Rawiri Waititi told Ryan Bridge that crime committed by Maori, even violent crime, is a result of colonisation and the policies of the current govt.
Mr Waititi claims it doesn’t matter that his race is over represented in parliament and that there are more Maori in govt today than ever before.

Manurewa electoral fraud claims: Board member Raewyn Bhana files formal complaint
An elected Manurewa Local Board member has filed a formal complaint over allegations of electoral fraud and claims she and a whistleblower are now in physical danger.
Raewyn Bhana said she received a text message warning her to “watch your back” after forwarding allegations of stolen ballot papers to police and the Serious Fraud Office last week.
She also claimed a “gang hit” has been threatened against the man who sent her photos of voting papers, which he alleges were collected by a team of people from letterboxes over seven nights before last October’s local body elections.
The man has now gone into hiding amid fears for his safety and Auckland Council is actively working with Bhana on personal security arrangements.
“The threats are getting ugly,” Bhana, a Queen’s Service Medal recipient, told the Herald today.
