Almost 120,000 Kiwi kids missing their free dental check-ups

This is nothing but child abuse. What is wrong with their parents. Free dental check ups, and they cannot get off their fat arses and take their kids to get their teeth checked.

Now we are seeing kids going to surgery and getting their teeth removed, all at extra cost to the taxpayer. Some as young as 10 months.

This really pisses me off. What do you have to do to get through to these useless parents, that their kids welfare and health should come first.

  1. Atrocious lack of neglect by feckless people having children when they don’t have the basic skills or inclination to even clean their kiddies teeth. Ahead for them are appalling life long health issues and painful dental treatment. The kids are likely condemned to a poor life outcome from day one so why do the mothers’ bother having them? It’s a rhetorical question as we all know the answer, babies are a gateway to an easy income for the feckless mothers living off the back of the taxpayer and gaining cheaper rentals. Feckless men who move in with these women to benefit from taxpayer largess and so the cycle continues. This has got to stop. Having babies is not a lifestyle income scheme.

  2. Disgusting isn’t it; how could you let your kids even leave the house in the morning without them brushing their teeth FFS! Ferals. The Govt even provides a mobile dental clinic complete with a surgery room, that travels around the country to rural areas. My son had a check-up in one. State-of-the-art technology. What more incentive do you need to at least show up with your kid?

Stop giving them (the bloody parent – there’s almost never an “S”.) money.

    It’s as easy as that.

Voucher every bit of charity from taxpayers so that it can be directed to where it’s needed (the children) and not parental vices.

I’d add getting the lazy bastards working – with the use of stock-whips and cattle-prods where necessary – therefore installing a sense of self worth, maybe even pride, into them as well as working some of the lard off.

    • Good idea using vouchers. They all seem to have the latest expensive smartphones. These have the ability to do whatever is necessary to make cash less payments. Make an app that takes care of all the family’s payment and purchasing requirements.

If this useless Govt can spend 8 million on developing an app for the seniors, how hard can it be to do the same for the bludgers. It would save the taxpayer millions in the long term if the money we pay out actually gets to the kids and improves their welfare.

      • In the States you’d get food stamps, or an eftpos type card that can’t be used for anything other than essentials, you know, like food! A store caught selling booze or ciggies to those on the dole would be in deep shit. You live in a social housing apartment. You want a better life? Up to you not the taxpayer. Tough shit.

      • Yeah but, the useless feckers still need to put down their phones, or their beer, or their smokes, etc and get off the couch and physically regularly clean their babies teeth until the kids are old enough to do it themselves, and take the kids to the FREE dental checkups. How hard is that to do! Lazy, useless feckers. There are no repercussions for laziness, that is why the feckers don’t bother to care.

      • Problem is they sell the vouchers to Auntie for the cash. She has no bother buying them for less than the worth. Its a no win situation for the kids and for the taxpayer really. They live by there is more ways to skin a rat.

  4. There are claims that 295,000 children in NZ live in poviddy.
Of that, 155,000 live in extreme poviddy.

I wonder if the 120,000 that miss their free dental care are included in those figures.
I wonder how many who miss free dental care also miss free immunisations.
I wonder how many of the children who miss basic free health care are welfare dependent.
I wonder if the parents of these children are registered to vote or bother to exercise that right.

I suspect there are a large number of New Zealanders who do not engage in (or contribute to) wider society in any way.

    • News item last night about a Maori family not being able to find a rental in Hawke’s Bay. Rentals are expensive and scarce. They looked a nice family but they had 5 kids so need a 4 bedroom house which are even more rare and more expensive if you are scratching out a living. If they cannot afford to house their children why have so many, unless there is a taxpayer funded financial incentive we’re not supposed to mention!
