Get the vax, get back some tax

“ACT is today launching a new tax incentive policy that would see fully vaccinated New Zealanders receive a $250 tax credit,” says ACT Leader David Seymour.

“I hear every day from people who say ‘I’ve done my bit, followed the rules, paid my tax, and got my vax. When do I get a break?’

“Vax Bucks will reward New Zealanders for doing the right thing and following the rules. If you’ve had the vax and paid your tax, you deserve some relief.

“The policy brings together three basic facts of life in New Zealand right now. One, we need all people vaxed. Two, people getting vaxed saves the taxpayer by staying out of hospital. Three, the Government just raised $13 billion more tax than the previous year.

“This policy would reduce Government revenue by $1 billion and those eligible for the tax credit will need to be fully vaccinated by 1 December.

“When you file your tax return next year, proof of vaccination by My COVID Record will qualify you for a $250 vaccination tax credit. However, you can also redeem it at any time, even on the day of your second vaccination, to receive an additional $250 cash payment. If you redeem it early, your vaccination record no longer qualifies you to get the credit when filing.

“It would be a well-deserved boost for Kiwis who work hard and have done the right thing just before Christmas. The tax credit is a week’s worth of groceries, a couple of tanks of petrol or Christmas presents for the kids.

“New Zealanders pay far too much tax. Finance Minister Grant Robertson, aka Grabby Grant, set a record in the past year for the highest tax take ever, $97 billion – $13 billion more than the previous record.

“The Government uses tax on tobacco and alcohol to cover healthcare for related diseases. Being fully vaccinated reduces pressure on our health system so people should be rewarded for reducing pressure on ICUs.

“The Government needs to get more creative with its thinking. It’s happy to spend the COVID fund on cameras on fishing boats and a business case for the replacement of Te Papa’s Spirit Collection Area. It’s happy to tax, tax, tax – but never consider giving you back your money.

“ACT will be here to make constructive criticisms where necessary and helpful suggestions where possible while asking the questions New Zealanders need answered.”

Although this was announced in 2021, It’s still on their website today

https://www.act.org.nz/get_the_vax_get_back_some_tax

Given their history of ignoring the freedom of New Zealanders to choose for themselves and whether they get vaccinated or not, if they didn’t believe this policy is not credible, why is it still on their website?

Seymour is just a bloody liar and cannot be trusted not to be even more draconian than Liarbour. He can protest that this is not the case, but I will not be taking the risk.

  1. Holy fricking crap I just made a comment to Sooty on yesterday’s blog that I was leaning towards voting for Seeless in October, I wish I’d read this from ED first as I now find myself back to square one again ,thanks ED.

  2. Definitely WILL NOT be voting for this useless cnut and his party. Fuck him and the horse he rode in on. What a bastard and yes I am using all the worst words to describe someone that was supposed to be the freedom of speech party. So does freedom not to take any other medical treatment not stand anymore. The useless CNUT that he is.

  3. i love how you lot have bitched and moaned for years about getting rid of labour govt and when the time comes you lot pretty much insist we keep them.

    dont vote seeless cuz butthurt.
dont vote winnie cuz traitor gave us cindy.
dont vote luxon cuz labour lite.

a part of me hopes labour pull off a miracle and you lot get humbled by your own stupidity and butthurt.

      • purely for the lols of watching the devastation unfold on here and other blogs that want labour gone at all costs yet spend every waking minute slamming the only few ppl that can get rid of them.

i think these deluded old folk are secretly scared nat/act will cut their old ppls bene and actually want labour lead coalition handouts for the rest of their life.

        • I sort of agree with you. I hate all the gutless politicians who supported the vaccine mandates and they should be held to account. However, the bigger picture is this country is nearly beyond repair and single issue voting is not going to change that. No parties represent all of my views and that has the way it has always been. Upshot is Labour simply cannot be allowed near the treasury benches for a generation.

          • i hate it too but ill accept reality and admit theres only 3 voting options if i want labour gone… only 2 options if i want co gov slowed down.

covid is no longer a sticking point for myself or many others, yeah our voting options are fucking shit but i live in reality and not fantasy land so ill just play the cards im dealt.

            • And do you honestly think there will be a difference between liarbor nats and act? I honestly doubt it. Time for a bit of honestly here IAASB. Yep LIARbor are bastards, but do you honestly think national and act are going to be any better?????

              • nope just the speed shit happens, act or winnie are currently our only hope of halting the co gov treaty shit and tbh thats my main concern right now not past grievances for shit they did or didnt do.
50/50 whether they keep to their word and stop the maori madness.

                • You make fair points as no party currently represent even a majority of matters most NZers consider critical so as you can only vote for parties that are on the ballot the choice is the least worse and Govts are voted out not in. DNZ had some decent policies but internal disagreements and poor organisation saw them implode – a pity.

              • accepting defeat would mean blindly voting labour or some dumbarse party thatll only get 0.8%.

i dont give a fuck about covid butthurt anymore, dont even see why its an issue unless youre a deluded nutter.
                we’re not locked down.
                we dont need vax pass
we can do pretty much everything we could pre covid.

you lot are fighting a 2020 election campaign in 2023… retards.
                this elections issues…

                • Problem is “Covid Butthurt” is probably going to result in a lot of misery in the future . Vaccinated people have had their immune systems fucked over. One Biology Teacher who studied mRNA vaccines at Waikato for her MSc told me the damage caused by mRNA once injected, could be similar to getting AIDS. The recently published medical literature suggests this may be the case. This is not trivial. However, I take your point that we need to change the Government. And yes, no one party ticks all the boxes. It’s a big issue for me, and one has to be unemotional about it. My heart wants to vote for Sue Grey, she supports us and is an ethical person. But we know that is a wasted vote. ACT and NAT are not wasted votes, it comes down to who pisses me off less. Still think DNZ could be a wasted vote. Data doesn’t lie. So endeth the lesson. Let us pray….. (For Nasska;s benefit)

    • IAASB, you do realize there’s weeks to go before the election IAASB , I personally think it’s a sign of maturity and intelligence if people haven’t decided who to vote for yet ,imagine if everyone voted for the feelz or what their partners or grandparents voted for what we’d end up with.
You don’t have to imagine we’ve just endured 6 years of it,think long and hard before voting and if necessary hold your nose and vote to oust the bastards that are in there now.
For a peak at how IAASB see’s the election in October Google, Fox News Masterclass, Gavin Newsome…….LOL.

      • Simple fact

liebour – as is their nature- hid the intended Maorification of NZ via he puapua from W Peters.

        Fact 2.
As Winston Peters says in his interview with Moana M …
In 2007 when UNDRIP was on the table WP tells us he told H Clark to NOT sign it.
This may be a convenient recall but it was not signed by H Clark.
It was signed up by johnny keys of notional.
j keys runs the WEF agent C luxon.
The globalist breakdown will continue under notional using division of the people as merely one tool .
notional are separatists. Divide, conquer and rule
They signed UNDRIP (Pita Sharples for key)
notional are just as hideous as liebour
They have set out to wreck Auckland on every Government cycle since Muldoon (1990-1999; 2008-2017.)

        fact 3
There are bugger all parties for 14 Oct that have your interest at heart.
Not even most of the little ones .
        There are SFA good choices.
Create your bottom line of whom you will not vote for
either notional or liebour will be the dominant party in any goo-mint formed by WEF Chris XXX

Arguing abut where to place the deckchairs is a waste of energy

    • First I’ve got to say I’m not a fan of Bryce Edwards. But he has written a “big picture” piece on the campaign combining comments from a range of people. It’s not a bad piece.

Keys points : The campaign is low energy and boring.
Neither major party has much new innovative thinking.
People / voters a really angry. More than most pundits have seen before.
Many voters do not see much worth voting for.
Possibility of a low voter turnout.
      etc. etc.

  4. Posted this yesterday on HYS

    The full video here
    https://theplatform.kiwi/podcasts/episode/david-seymour-defends-snubbing-parliament-protestors
    17 minutes : 19th September 2023

At 6 mins where Seymour claims he was talking to a well traveled friend, from outside of NZ who told him that New Zealanders are much angrier than other places in the world.
Strange he quotes this person. An influencer? Connection? Agenda? his controller?
Something is putrid in the land of ACT.
At the same time would not go & talk, & listen to many of the Wellington protestors.

So is Seymour feeling the pressure of some dropping polls, & is casting around?
To start with that vid, ACT’s new policy over this weekend, is to change the terms of reference to be expanded on for the Royal Commission of Inquiry on the Covid Response.
Even to ask people what questions they wish to see in the terms of reference.
Can We grasp oily Seymour be held to do this?

This maybe where a small lift of the tin’s lid may be levered wide open to expose that can of deviously connected Covid worms., like Comrade Tedros, Comrade Bloomfield, & “follow the ‘science’,” that is “Follow the $ Money”
Is that enough of greasy oil to help swallow the rat?

At the end of the day I do not want any government representative signing to the binding WHO Global Pandemic Treaty.

….. For concerned Australians who have written to their members of parliament and who received a stock reply saying the treaty has to go through Parliament first. That’s actually not true.
The World Health Organization pandemic treaty includes a provision that it becomes binding on Australia the moment Our World Health Organization representative signs it.
    No parliamentary oversight required !
    Well screw that.
    “One Nation’s” work continues ! …..

This is why I will not affirm ACT, as this is the time, where they are feeling the pressure, to bring about some new policy, will make them see what may have to be changed so as to clinch some of the undecided.
This is the time right now. to show we just do not simply & stupidly comply with David Seymour.

Are the expansion of the terms of reference, to the Covid Commission enough?

  5. They will fund this, I presume, out of the reduced pensions they will have to pay as the vaccinated die earlier than those of us who did not take the now proven poison. Quite a clever move really if your aim is to depopulate the ranks of the elderly to make room for more NWO approved migrants from low IQ countries.

  6. After last nights debate, which I didn’t watch, voting for ACT has become clearer for me. Dave is my man. If Mr Editor wants to talk about blood/blood money… let’s start with Labour’s policies around crime. I think most MS people would agree with me.

  7. Whether you like Winnie or not in my view Nz First are the only option if we are to have any chance of slowing down the globalists. Liabor have shit show of winning so it will be a Notional lead government. Who else could stop the extreme globalist agenda? And yes I know that it is a tragic state of affairs when Winnie is the only hope.

  8. I had hoped the zeal for authoritarian compliance would die once Labour has been excised from power. I was bitterly disappointed to find the fervour for jabbing everyone will be carried over by the ferret faced leader of Act offering tax incentives to bribe people to take the proven toxic jab. Blood money indeed.

I cannot figure his motivation except that dark entities have bought him or discovered his hidden skeletons!!

Medical knowledge now PROVES the jab is toxic so there has to be more to his obsession with jabbing everyone than Seeless is admitting. Read Pfizer’s published safety data. There are serious reasons why many can’t medically take the jab. The effrontery of Seeless to make medical decisions for individuals is equally as abhorrent as when the “single source of truth” mad kwean demanded we do the same.

FO Seeless. Leave medical choices to the individual in consultation with their medical advisors. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

  9. You know something.
I have just looked thru all the posts about choice and who you might vote for. and frankly you all deserve to get another lot of shit government.
There is more choices than Labor, Nats, Greens and Winny. He is only ever any use when he has leverage as we know from the 2 bridges he got thru for us. 1 from Bolger and 1 from Clark.
If he hasn’t that leverage, which he won’t have, he will just cruise along an your money.
Winny + Nats won’t win the govt. benches. They will need others. Seems that most of you have finally figured out Seymour.
    There’s a better choice.

fool ya once, fool ya twice the third time you deserve what ya get.

  11. I wonder what Seymour will instruct IRD to consider “fully vaccinated” to be.
    Had a jab?
    Jab and +Covid test?
    Had a jab and booster?
    Jab, booster and myocarditis?
    Jab and two boosters?
Jab, two boosters and kidney failure?
Jab, two boosters and annual top up?
Jab, two boosters, annual top up and shingles?

I guess he wants everyone to take the vaccine because it’s so effective.
    There’s a leader to vote for //

    • Stand at attention, son. As you commanding officer I’m ordering you to concentrate on the most important things first. It’s called KISS- keep it simple silly. If I catch you jabbering about jabs again, I will PT you until your arse is sucking buttermilk. Right then, a letter of apology to General Seymour, then make yourself scarce until after the election. Dismissed.
