Different when the stupid lefties do it

Last night on Radio 4 (where else?) leftie luvvie Jo Brand fantasised about throwing acid over politicians she doesn’t like. Making the kind of joke that leaves a bad taste, she told Victoria Coren Mitchell “why bother with a milkshake when you could get some battery acid?” It’s okay because Jo is left wing so she’s really compassionate…

“Certain unpleasant characters are being thrown to the fore, and they’re very, very easy to hate, and I’m kind of thinking, why bother with a milkshake when you could get some battery acid?

That’s just me, sorry, I’m not gonna do it, it’s purely a fantasy, but I think milk shakes are pathetic, I honestly do. Sorry.”

She’s not the first to promote an acid attack. Nigel Farage says: “This is incitement of violence and the police need to act.”

Where is the outrage, the Twitter and Facebook bans. Oh thats right, they only do that to anyone on the right.

  1. The Left love to claim they’re the compassionate, caring, kind and peaceful ones. Reality has demonstrated that they’re the mirror opposite of their claims. Their policies keep poor people poor being an obvious but there are more subtle examples of their hypocrisy.

For example, comic superheroes are almost always portrayed as having a left wing ethos. If that’s the case, why do they almost always resolve their problems with their fists (or other superpowers)? I find such examples fascinating of where the Left’s actual motivations lie.

      • She still is funny!

For christs sake 90% of the commenters here use exactly the same practices, using hyperbole etc. to get the point across.

Unlike many, if not most, of the communist scum who seriously want to harm people who don’t agree with them, people like Brand ( and Baker recently) are attempting to use humour to make a point.

Don’t knock it, celebrate it, if only because those who use humour honestly (i.e. very few Seppos, SFA Poms and not a single fucking communist NZer) are so few and far between they stand out.

Ed. She is not promoting acid attack (if you can’t tell the difference you’re in the wrong game), Farage, if he said such a stupid thing in this instance, is wrong and not even the NZ police are that wet.

  2. Oh lighten up, FFS, Battery acid is not THAT bad…. If she really wanted to do some damage rather use hydrofluoric acid, or Aqua Regia. Hydrofluoric acid is nasty… Inhaling or ingesting even a small amount of hydrofluoric acid is usually lethal. If you spill it on your skin, it attacks your nerves. This causes loss of feeling, so you might not know you’ve been burned until a day or more after exposure. In other cases, you’ll feel excruciating pain, but won’t be able to see any visible evidence of an injury until later.

The acid doesn’t stop at the skin. It enters the bloodstream and reacts with bones. The fluorine ion binds to calcium. If enough gets into your bloodstream, the disruption of calcium metabolism can stop your heart. If you don’t die, you can suffer permanent tissue damage, including bone loss and persistent pain.

  3. Left Wing ‘Entertainers’ here in New Zealand wrote songs about raping John Key’s children and made jokes about aborting Simon Bridges children…
Imagine for a moment the reaction if someone said anything that repugnant about Jacinda Ardern’s child?
The hypocrisy on the Left astounds me!

    • The caring Left? You mean the caring Left as personified in “Homebrew’s” insult to music?

…..”That’s why I’m going to kill the Prime Minister. I’m going to kill the Prime Minister, because we are down and suffering and the motherfucker ain’t doing nothing. Going to kill the Prime Minister.
One of these days I’m going to fuck your daughter. This poor boy going to make his seed, going to wake up in your girl – well hello Miss Key “……

Jacinda when asked to comment……”they’re one of my favourite bands”.

Did Cindy the DJ play Homebrew’s sick and twisted lyrics about John Key and their fantasy of raping his daughter?

As for Jo Brand, I liked her standup comedy humour, but she has really shown her nasty side. Another one I won’t bother with any more.

  4. The issue is a fool with a milkshake, or battery acid, gets close enough to throw it then the security for that target has been compromised and the risk of attack with a weapon is heightened. The woman makes light of it. I do not.

People make careless statements without considering the larger view. The ability to protest, or get close to people in public life will be restricted as a consequence of such loose talk.
