In 1887, Te Heuheu signed a deed conveying Tongariro, Ngauruhoe, and part of Ruapehu to the Crown so they could fund the development of that area into a national park. That’s what the government did. So no, you don’t get our land back after we funded its development. Fuck off

‘Native’ – yeah, no.
Just one of many immigrants to this country. Pity they couldn’t have had a thriving economy/industry/civilization after being here for so long before the next boat arrived. I guess they were lucky it was the English, so they got to see what could be achieved, rather than the Muslims, who would have wiped them out.
