Gun Control DOESN’T Work

Why doesn’t gun control work?

Guns aren’t the issue. Guns don’t kill people. People kill people.

But people are shooting guns. If there are fewer guns on the street, the incidence of terrorism, mass shootings, and violent crime decrease, right?

It’ll increase. Look at Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City. Three cities with strict gun laws in three states with strict gun laws. Violent crime has either remained as is or increased. You can add Auckland to that list.

The laws didn’t work. They’re not going to work.

People follow Gun-Free Laws…except the criminal. The criminal doesn’t care about Gun Free laws. Criminals make a living by breaking the law. With each new law usurping individual liberties, the criminal thrives.

Most follow the law, the criminal doesn’t. The criminal won’t, but most will. They believe it’s a duty to follow the law of their land, just or unjust.

Since the criminal doesn’t follow the law, they see a golden opportunity in carrying out violent acts, despite stricter gun laws. They know people don’t have guns. They’re not allowed access, but the criminal isn’t going to follow the law.

No one is going to be armed in a Gun-Free area other than an “authorized person.”

Gun laws don’t work because criminals, those going to go ahead with violent crime, aren’t going to listen to them. The harder one makes it for law-abiding citizens to hold a gun, the easier it is for the criminal to thrive on violent crime.

How much did Liarbour, in connivance with the Nats spend on their stupid gun buyback? $150 million, and for what?Gun crime has increased instead of decreasing as we were told would be the case. What a waste of taxpayers money.

Remember this?

If only Cindy and co had followed these words

We don’t need no gun education
We dont need no gun control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Police leave them guns alone
Hey! Police! Leave them guns alone!
All in all it’s just another brick in the wall.
All in all you’re just another brick in the wall.

I don’t need no guns around me
Unlike you, I dont need no drugs to calm me.
I have seen the writing on the wall.
Don’t think I need anything at all.
No! Don’t think I’ll need anything at all.
All in all it was all just bricks in the wall.
All in all you were all just bricks in the wall.

  1. The vast majority of those who are anti gun are women. Yet the one thing on this earth that makes a physically feeble, seventy year old rape prospect the equal of her assailant is a handgun.

They really haven’t thought it through.

    • Gun Control: The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her panty hose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound. – L. Neil Smith

    • Agreed Alice:—- she puts the issues very well.

The search for principles in our lives.
      Does it mean policing?

      I posted this yesterday :—-
Raises many good points about the gun control policies.

Lucretia Hughes Testifies at “The Urgent Need to Address the Gun Violence Epidemic”
      6 mins 55 secs : 9th June 2022

“We must prepare to be our own first res-ponders”.

Lucretia Hughes testifies against expansions on gun control alongside many pro-gun control advocates, including families who were affected by the tragedy at Robb Elementary School in Texas.
She shares her family’s story about losing her son.

“A justice system failing to hold him accountable for the laws he already broken, …. a convicted felon killed my son”
“How about letting me defend my self from evil”
“You do not think I am capable & trustworthy to handle a firearm”.
“Who is supposed to protect us?”
“We must prepare to be our own first res-ponders”.
” I am a legal law abiding citizen and I do not need the government to save me.”
“education is the key to safety; not ineffective legislation”
“….. it will embolden the criminals, gun owners are not the enemy, in these gun control policies are not the solution.”

The education part, just what principles are they based on these days?
That has changed much in the last 50 years.

The wild west, was only a Hollywood mayhem concept.
Every one had a lot more respect for each another, as they did not want to be a part of death or being disabled/wounded.

The government has usurped how one controls one’s life, being based on academic concepts, spread by media.
Being a parent, in so many things where parents should rule, so that father figure becomes the government, for the ‘solo mum’, who then acts as wilful child demanding that they deserve more.
Taking our citizen’s powers and granting them to the police, who now work as ‘corporatist’ wokists.

Those snippets do not do justice to that whole speech as the full context gives greater meaning to those points.

  2. Hat tip waikatogirl.
Hypocrisy is live and well in movie land. But it’s not real…
Hollywood producer once said, “When violence starts taking a beating at the box office, we’ll stop making it!”

New Rule: Hollywood’s Culture of Violence
    8 mins 29 secs :
    Real Time with Bill Maher

Is it the movies? reality?, or is it taking away the dreams & aspirations of people, then shifting ” a blame to others” so the only way out, can only be quelled by a ‘rightful vengeance’?

Hollywood is the wokest place on earth in every other area of social responsibility, but when it comes to the unbridled romanticisation of gun violence – crickets.

    • The problem with guns is keeping them from the mentally ill and psychopaths.

I love a good shoot ’em up movie. We’re currently watching the series “1883” on Netfilix. Best western we have seen for a while. Sam Elliot is so good as the crusty old ex-soldier. Plenty of need of gun protection for the wagon train of new settlers from outlaws and bandits with ill intent.

      1883 – Official Trailer | Yellowstone Prequel

Starring Sam Elliott, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and guest star Billy Bob Thornton–1883 follows the Dutton family as they embark on a journey west through the Great Plains toward the last bastion of untamed America in search of land and freedom.

  3. About 40 years ago I went duck shooting in the far north with some older workmates while I was doing my apprenticeship ,on the way home we stopped for takeaways in a small town and whilst sitting in our van were surrounded by around 5 or 6 drunk locals who had been walking up the road as we arrived.
They demanded money and any alcohol we had with us ,a mate in the back of the vehicle kicked open the rear door and jumped out brandishing his U/O shotgun, he then fired a shot into the grass at the same time as screaming “fuck off you clack bunts”,
within 5 seconds they were all gone ,,, from that day to this I’ve been a great supporter of “gun control” because I know it works, LOL.

  4. Hollywood is about the man with the biggest gun wins.
    Guns and gratuitous violence everywhere
“God created man Sam Colt made them equal!”
“Go ahead punk, make my day “
Too many people live in a mythical world and aspire to be movie stars and want to and do act out their fantasies!
The same happens with driving vehicles and other activities.
Hollywood ,you are as guilty as hell!

    • Falcon “Hollywood your are as guilty as hell”
      Drug abuse
      Child rape
      Bowing to the CCP
      Casting couch abuse
      Promoting LGBQRTI filthy propaganda
Promoting actors as normal people when they are actually bent twisted abnormal people.
With their movies telling young children that you can be shot 7 times and still win the day
And most egregiously telling the stupid masses that the skinny emaciated Jacinda Ardern is ” here to help you ”
And for nearly 90 years lying to a 99% receptive population, including myself.
