  1. Rintoul said the closure of Marsden Point Oil Refinery was a key contributor to state highway speeds being lowered.

Bitumen, used for road surfacing, would no longer be produced at the refinery, meaning it had to be imported and would cost more.

He said this matter was one that had been discussed in his time on the board and lowering speed limits was seen as a way to address this.

Formal public consultation on the proposed Northland state highway speed limit changes opens next month.

Rintoul said Northlanders should make sure to put in submissions.

    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/northern-advocate/news/proposed-northland-state-highway-speed-limit-cuts-slated-by-former-nzta-board-member/DJ2ABYCKLEEFA4TERZ72IGP4WQ/?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook&fbclid=IwAR3UfbuA2jPRHwUslFB0aCOweNRkJJ5eofs8U-xRV5NLaaiOwRF3WSqlV74#Echobox=1642704739

And as well know consultations are a euphemism for time wasting by bureaucrats whilst they continue to do what they were always going to do. Never held accountable for that consultation.

Act’s David Seymour wants Destiny Church’s Brian Tamaki booted from Mt Eden prison

Epsom’s MP wants Destiny Church leader Brian Tamaki booted from Mt Eden prison and away from his electorate.

Tamaki has been remanded at Mt Eden prison since Monday, on charges of breaching lockdown rules.

Act Party leader David Seymour was involved in a stoush on Friday afternoon with Tamaki’s followers, who were protesting outside the facility.

Seymour said he approached Tamaki’s supporters on behalf of a constituent – who had complained about the group’s noise.

Seymour said Tamaki should be shifted to Spring Hill Prison which would allow the “pilgrims” to protest in a big field – away from where they are disrupting others.

Neighbours had told him the protest site was “a riot” at night.

    • I am absolutely disgusted at David Seymour. I shudder when I think I voted for him in the last couple of elections ACT was huge as the stand up for the rights of the individual party. Well he has blown that out of the water. I am so sorry to all the people I may have convinced to vote for ACT. What an arrogant piece of shit he has turned out to be. I supported him and the Euthanasia bill 100% and went to occasions where he spoke. I wouldn’t spit on him if he were on fire these days. Oh and FJA too, also F Luxon too. They have not any care for the public who pay their salaries. Bullies each and every one of the 120. This type of behaviour from parliamentarians is turning Brian Tamaki into a Martyr for the cause.

Whāngarei Covid-19 protester Robbie Johnson discharged for organising freedom rally

ccused of organising last year’s huge anti-lockdown rally in Whāngarei, Covid-19 rules protester Robbie Johnson escaped a conviction after charges were withdrawn or downgraded.

At a case review hearing in Whāngarei District Court on Friday, Johnson, 47, who was initially charged with two counts of breaching the Covid-19 Public Health Response Act – a criminal offence, for which he could have been convicted – pleaded guilty to a lesser infringement-only offence.

Judge Greg Davis granted police leave to downgrade one of the original charges to the infringement offence of having organised the rally on October 16. The second charge was withdrawn.

  5. I see Lorde is doing the standard celebrity bit hand wringing over her trip to Antarctica and now wishing she never went because it’s bad for the environment. With a bit of counseling and few native tree planting I’m sure she’ll get over it. If she really wanted to help the planet and do us all a favour she would have stayed there, but then I suppose she has a wedding to attend and that’s far more important.

    25

    0

    • She’ll feel sooooo quilty about travel that she gets on a plane after the wedding and jet all across the world repeatedly.

Just another woke virtue signalling POS. Someone should point out all the carbon emmisions made to produce then for ppl to listen to her shitty music!

    • Maybe Lordy could minimise her regrets by thinking before she acts. Same applies to opening her mouth.
      Grow up twat.

What might she have to say when she realises she’s entertaining at the union of the most divisive and incompetent leader this country has ever seen to a coke snorting attention seeking serial womaniser?

      Oops?

      22

      0

      • Talking of coke snorting I heard an interesting story the other day of a chartered fishing trip down Dusky Sound way where three of the party, two lawyers and some other bloke, got so out of it on the old Colombian marching powder that the other members of the trip who actually has wanted to fish called up a helicopter to get themselves evacuated. Before they boarded the chopper one of the lawyers threatened the group that they would be in big trouble if the said anything about what they had witnessed. Sounds like a made for TV drama to me.

Imagine a future without her jetting in every five minutes to tell us how lucky we are to hear from her and how she’s released another album of appalling shite featuring her bestie d.j Cinders laying down sick beats. 7. Viking, NZTA cutting speed limits across the country has never been about safety, it has always been about saving road maintenance costs to NZTA. and due to Government policy. I can see where having to import bitumen plays well into this scenario as outlined by Ken Rintoul.
Because of where I live, I have to cover extensive road travel around the North Island and road maintenance on State Highways has been reduced considerably. In some parts, the road conditions is nothing more than shocking and dangerous to users. One has to question where is the huge amount of road user taxes being spent, it is not on the roads.
The current campaign by NZTA and their childish TV advertisement on reducing speed limits which masquerades as consultation with the public is nothing more than a sham and sums this Government and its attitudes to the public of New Zealand up well.
Allowing Marsden Point Refinery to close, will prove another epic failure of this Government.

Au contrare’: It is actually a ‘success’ and shows the world (Especially those at the UN and in the NWO) that the New Zealand Government’ ‘Cares about the environment and is taking active steps to combat climate change and remove pollutants from the roads and water ways, by reducing the production of nasty, polluting asphalt and so prevent run-off from entering the water ways and wetlands and endangering the precious native wild life and environment. This government REALLY cares’ (Or something like that)…

    • Well when you live in the middle on no place its always going to be rough. In saying that though I travel a bit was done New Plymouth way a couple of weeks ago, and Taoupo before that and down to turnagi this weekend. In general where roads are remade the roadfs are good.
Except where stupid does as in the bit of road that Foolish did down the gorge. Put it all down wet and now hass to be resurfaced.

There are definitely Roads that need fixing, Taupo to Turanga around the lake is a disgrace as is the middle on the desert road. Now you can guess what stiops those bits getting remade.
Kaimais are another. Waikato to the top is bloody awful given the volume of traffic that uses it. , Tga to Katikati is another. would have been done now if you buggers hadn’t voted cindy in.

Tga has a problem as well.
One of the problems is that funds are not allocated where the roads are used.e.g. many of the big trucking companies that use our roads are registered in other places, Rotorua, otorhanga and so on.
So when road user charges are looked at they are assumed to be from that area but the trucks actually roll thru here without the money. Millions of dollars and thousands of truck trips. Same for Northland.

The road canoe outfit is too political like so many other things.
And their efforts are frustrated as well by all the local bodies, greenies and nut cases. Logic has nothing to do with anything.
      Look at Tranmission gully.
Not open because the storm water consent hasn’t been agreed to an various other minor issues. Not complete down to the last full stop. Can’t do. Meanwhile it costs everyone. Which is why we ar all do much in debt, house prices are outrageous and we are now to have a credit crunch.
      Nothing ever happens in isolation.

      8

      0

      • Pretty much agree Viking.

Not so sure about where the trucks are actually home based.
Those snaky rubber strips put across the road, to count the traffic I know in local government is used as an aid to determine priorities of what is done and any extra
        expenditure.
That helps to sort out where roads are heavily used, like from quarries.

Those home based trucks often do very large circuits around NZ and the drivers over night away.
It may mean if the trucks return to home base, well those roads are being heavily used.

Now who gets to maintain & extend the cycle trails; where is that money taken from?
I see there will be further expenditure where the New Zealand walking track, Te Araroa is NZ’s walkways follows along roads. From where is that money being deducted from?
        A skate board lane?

Along side some roads seem to be major expenditure to skittle alleys, of barriers.
Seems to be a lot of time, traffic cones, traffic management, building up to place those barriers.
Perhaps a bit helpful, but has there really been a full analysis of cost benefits taking in all the pros & cons?

        10

        0

      • Viking, I was north of Turangi late yesterday morning and often to Taupo. The 1,000 different speed limits now in place and road condition is very poor on the eastern side of the Lake. I was also in Tauranga last week. From Tokoroa to Putaruru and climbing up the Kaimai’s from the Waikato side is an absolute disgrace with more potholes than Africa. Tomorrow is Wanganui and back along SH4 so it will be interesting to see how that has deteriorated from Raetihi south through the Parapara’s. But it seems to me to be less and less being spent on maintenance. Blame large trucks as much as you like, but the base construction of our roads is very poor because of cost cutting measures, which contributes to what you see now.

That same day Johnny shows up and says to his teacher I bet you 25 dollars I can guess what color underwear you are wearing. His teacher laughs and agrees.

She’s goes to that bathroom removes her underwear.

After class Johnny goes up to her and says I bet your underwear is blue. His teacher smiles and says no and lifts up her skirt to show she is not wearing any underwear. Johnny smiles and says my dad will pay you the 25 dollars.

The teacher shows up to Johnny’s house and talks to his dad and tells him that Johnny did not correctly guess her underwear color because she was not wearing any.

His dad says that fucker just won a 100 dollar bet with me about seeing your pussy.

  12. WG, you have to wonder about Plod and their mentality. Quoting from your article on these skateboarders.

“Police said they are allowed on the road but must keep as close as possible to the edge of the roadway.

“As with any other road user, it is important that skateboarders are considerate of everyone else on the road.

“Police encourage people undertaking these activities to wear the appropriate safety gear and be aware of their responsibility as a road user.”

Since when were skateboarders allowed on a public road and when did they start paying road user charges or ACC Levies?
What great advise from Plod, “keep as close as possible to the edge.”
And these fools (Plod) patrol our roads and maintain law and order on them. Absolute Drongo’s.

    • It would seem by the raids on Licenced Fire Arms owners in Christchurch, that is the ones we know about, then this concept is being rolled out.
From that link it goes to Victoria Premier Dan Andrews, systemic police, aligned as Ardern would like.
      .
Imagine if you received a COVID or speeding fine.
      .
From previous experience, Victoria Police has seen these as being sufficient to suspend firearms licences.
      .
The new bans would permit bad ‘behaviour‘ – potentially simply having an argument over the fine or suspension – to be sufficient for an inspector to hit you with a ban.

      https://www.sportingshooter.com.au/latest/10-year-licence-ban-for-as-little-as-a-speeding-fine
      .
So the police can use anything to determine if you are a supposedly fit and able person to have a firearm and can enter your property with no search warrant.
Noting also how AussieCossack was constantly searched for firearms.

I am looking forward to seeing our National MP next time he is in town as he will be getting a similar message to that I gave him at lunch, the day before he went to Wellington to vote for Muller as Leader of the National Part and dump an able Simon Bridges. I hope he will not like it but Luxon is not the one on his current performance to lead National out of the wilderness. 16. https://www.juliusruechel.com/2022/01/the-false-god-of-central-planning.html
A long essay but here is a good relevant excerpt….
But after two years of isolation, many New Zealanders have an immunity debt through lack of regular exposure to these seasonal respiratory viruses (in other words, they haven’t been exercising their immune systems). Young children in particular who had little or no previous exposure to other respiratory viruses are now more vulnerable to severe outcomes due to this immunity debt. So, after a 2 year hiatus, New Zealand is now beginning to pay the price for their Covid-Zero fantasy by facing increased vulnerability to all the other respiratory viruses, without actually having acquired any meaningful levels of immunity to Covid during this interim “pandemic” period. They haven’t escaped Covid – they have yet to face it when they finally reopen their doors to the world. y now it is obvious that the vaccines stop neither transmission nor spread. So, New Zealand’s politicians have trapped themselves in a situation where, thanks to their complete self-imposed isolation, border re-openings will inevitably lead to a wave of infections and nursing home deaths, whether they are caused by Covid or by other returning respiratory viruses. Unlike other countries where Covid continued to play old man’s friend in nursing homes, respiratory viruses have not taken their usual toll on New Zealand nursing homes for nearly two years so that once any respiratory virus (Covid or otherwise) gets into a New Zealand nursing home, it will find a particularly large vulnerable population, which will make for particularly frightening news headlines. Unless rational minds have the good sense to stop mass PCR testing of asymptomatic individuals in New Zealand and to educate their public that the vulnerability of nursing home patients does not mean that the rest of the population faces the same high level of risk, every attempt to reopen the border will lead to surges in respiratory virus outbreaks, waves of nursing home deaths, and trigger fresh panic.

So on that basis will the Mad Queen double down on lockdown?
    Let us see.

      • Wiseowl, no emergency in New Zealand. Yes there is. DJ Cindy said there was, then declared a Climate Emergency in the country because Jimmy Two Mums mentioned to her in passing, that there was one. So there is an emergency. Just get over it, as it is so real, so now and we are all going drown or be dead because of it./////

The need to keep revealing so many parts of this, and then to join the dots to see the overall picture.

How can they keep that “cone of silence” by governmental suppression to push for “noble lies” as it there is increasingly being revealed an all out agenda of “global collectivization “into a “hive economy” based on a medical tyrannical autocracy of control.

  22. Good on ya mate!

A Golden Bay cafe, that says it’s now running as a private club, is refusing to check vaccine passes and so far WorkSafe has yet to take any enforcement action. It comes as the number of complaints about businesses possibly breaking Covid rules are rising.
    https://www.1news.co.nz/2022/01/21/golden-bay-cafe-becomes-private-club-to-avoid-vax-passes/

country moved to the traffic light system it’s called the Love Boat Club. All are welcome to go inside- both vaccinated and unvaccinated.

“We are set up under natural law, God’s law, indigenous law, natural law and common law and under that structure. Not man made government laws – it stands purely as it is.”

He says there’s nothing that will make him change his views: “It’s a censorship and my sovereignty is what I will always maintain and protect. I won’t sell myself to the system and my soul in the process”.

    22

    • It would seem that Worksafe are brewing more than a cup of coffee.

Since the start of December when the traffic light system kicked in WorkSafe has received 2104 complaints of businesses possibly breaking the rules,
456 of those were received in the last week alone.

So it would seem that some variant, a ken&karen stasi of Marek’s diseased & triple vaxxed chickens are gathering up what they call enough evidence to then make complaints.

I think that after Ardern is officially knotted, then the bureaucracy for fines, penalties will be unleashed.

    • Honestly all those Kens and Karens complaining about businesses not complying with the rules of the mad FJA. I would never have believed so many people in New Zealand would ever do this. Shame on them it’s an absolute disgrace that anyone would be so pathetic they would contact work safe and complain about a business in these times of a pretend illness. They are absolute bastards and I hope they get their comeuppance quick smart. Absolute fuckers. And I guess their names are kept quiet after the complaints.

  23. Antarctic Covid: Research Base Evacuation of Unvaccinated

The virus has broken out at the Argentine research base at the tip of the world. Just over half of the 43 scientists and military personnel stationed at the La Esperanza base in the Antarctic have been infected. (AFP)

Nine of 24 confirmed infections are unvaccinated, and have been taken to Buenos Aires as a precaution – despite all those who have tested positive showing no symptoms.

The first outbreak on the icy continent was at Chile’s base in December 2020.

    • Nine of 24 confirmed infections are unvaccinated.

So 15 of the 24 infections were vaccinated.
      15/9 = 1.6666
So the vaccinated are 66% more likely to get infected!!!
      And no-one had symptoms.

So I guess they wound the PCR test up to 40 cycles to get that result, then?

Employee: “I’m ringing to inform you that I will not be at work tomorrow, as I have Melbourne flu.”
      Boss: “What are the symptoms?”
Employee: “Oh, there are no symptoms. But the cure on google is to connect with anything to do with Melbourne. So I’m watching the Melbourne Cup.”

  24. Retirement of China’s chief provocateur signals course correction
Former Global Times editor Hu Xijin was equivalent to a three-star general

When Hu Xijin stepped down as editor of the Global Times last month, China’s most combative propaganda outlet, accompanying reports in official media stated Beijing was keen to “strengthen [the paper’s] political guidance.”

Though he possessed no official role or title, Hu was seen as influential within policy circles. Australia’s Ambassador to China, Graham Fletcher, even sought him out for lunch in late 2020, in an attempt to calm troubled Australia-China relations.

Hu Xijin has been one of China’s chief spear-carriers in the English-language media, frequently threatening war with Taiwan and ever-ready to give a provocative quote to U.S. media outlets to fan the flames of U.S.-China tensions.

  26. Fem-bot trait to focus on the negative. The negative emote has no bottom. Worried, sad, omnipotent busybodies. Nose in the ice-cream bucket. Feminist constitutions tend towards tyranny. They undermine and break the fundamental authority. That is, the fathers authority in the household, breaking everything.

Aristotle, on the Covid Tyranny: “Their first end and aim is to break the spirit of their subjects. They know that a poor-spirited man will never plot against anybody. Their second aim is to breed mutual distrust. Tyranny is never overthrown until people can begin to trust one another; and this is the reason why tyrants are always at war with the good. They feel that good men are dangerous to their authority, not only because they think it shame to be governed despotically but also because of their loyalty to themselves and to others and because of their refusal to betray one another or anybody else. The third and last aim of tyrants is to make their subjects incapable of action. Nobody attempts the impossible. Nobody, therefore, will attempt the overthrow of tyranny, when all are incapable of action.”

      • Gender ideology is a step up in the weaponized culture war from even feminism. Indulging the madness is destroying their minds. And destroying our culture, making us easier to milk for money.

The madness is being bankrolled by big companies. That TV show for example. Matt Walsh and Daily Wire milk the angst for lucre. The aim is destruction of Western Culture. Milk milk milk. We are to become docile cows for exploitation. Pharma now is in on the action with a VAX attack. I used to think the Lefty madness of Critical Theory was only of the left. But no. It is powered by the money of big corporate, big pharma, big money. The sick right. And the sick left.

Truth is when reality and being come together. The truth is that which is.

And that bearded lady was not.

  27. The British Medical Journal BMJ editorial.

This lack of info, plus what we know in parts as “fraudulent” demands more scrutiny, more action even here in New Zealand by Ministry of Health, MedsafeNZ, Medical Associations, etc..

Data should be fully and immediately available for public scrutiny ….

….. despite the global rollout of covid-19 vaccines and treatments, the anonymised participant level data underlying the trials for these new products remain inaccessible to doctors, researchers, and the public
—and are likely to remain that way for years to come.
This is morally indefensible for all trials, but especially for those involving major public health interventions.

    Unacceptable delay. …..
Pfizer has indicated that it will not begin entertaining requests for trial data until May 2025,
24 months after the primary study completion date, which is listed on ClinicalTrials.gov as 15 May 2023 ….

…. Underlying data for covid-19 therapeutics are similarly hard to find …… Regeneron …. Remdesivir ….

    Transparency and trust …….
….. The public has paid for covid-19 vaccines through vast public funding of research, and it is the public that takes on the balance of benefits and harms that accompany vaccination.
The public, therefore, has a right and entitlement to those data, as well as to the interrogation of those data by experts. …..

    https://www.bmj.com/content/376/bmj.o102

To expect the public to be a part of a phase 3 experimental trial, under “Emergency Use Approval” EUA and nor give enough data, knowledge to grant “informed consent” which seems has been superseded by government autocratically => coercion, => mandatory => compulsion.

Just what are the New Zealand’s Medical Autocracy based on, when there is no data to supposedly view, and consider?

All who are involved are negligent and as it goes on are acting with malfeasance, that appears to be corrupt, where a criminal investigation should be held, so that charges could be laid where necessary.

  29. Press Release: On The Eve of Washington March, COVID Declaration
Now Backed by More Than 17,000 Doctors and Medical Scientists Around the World

Following Dr. Robert Malone’s appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, more physicians and medical scientists have joined with their colleagues from around the world in signing the Physicians Declaration.

    • The over 17,000 signers to the declaration have reached consensus on three foundational principles:

Healthy children should not be subject to forced vaccination: they face negligible risk from covid, but face potential permanent, irreversible risk to their health if vaccinated, including heart, brain, reproductive and immune system damage.

Natural Immunity Denial has prolonged the pandemic and needlessly restricted the lives of Covid-recovered people. Masks, lockdowns, and other restrictions have caused great harm especially to children and delayed the virus’ transition to endemic status.

Health agencies and institutions must cease interfering with the physician-patient relationship. Policymakers are directly responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths, as a result of institutional interference and blocking treatments proven to cure at a near 100% rate when administered early.

Led by Dr. Malone and staying loyal to the Hippocratic oath, the declaration’s signers have resisted financial inducements, threats, unprecedented censorship, and reputational attacks to remain committed first to patient health and well-being. After 23 months of research, millions of patients treated, hundreds of clinical trials performed and scientific data shared, and after demonstrating and documenting their success in combating COVID-19, the 17,000+ physicians and medical scientists who signed the declaration support the core principles Dr. Malone and many other doctors have been speaking out about since late last year.

  30. Most of us will be aware of Martin Luther who was “a German priest, theologian, author, composer, former Augustinian friar, and is best known as a seminal figure in the Protestant Reformation and as the namesake of Lutheranism. Luther was ordained to the priesthood in 1507.” (Wikipedia)

Fewer will know that, amongst other basics, he tangled with the Vatican over their sanction of boy botherering. In his denunciations of the Roman Catholic Church he claimed that Popes & priests commonly practised sodomy.

…..”More remarkable yet, in the same bull *they decided that a cardinal should not keep as many boys in the future. However, Pope Leo commanded that this be deleted; otherwise it would have been spread throughout the whole world how openly and shamelessly the pope and the cardinals in Rome practice sodomy. I do not wish to mention the pope, but since the knaves will not repent, but condemn the gospel, blaspheme and revile God’s word, and excuse their vices, they, in turn, will have to take a whiff of their own terrible filth. This vice is so prevalent among them that recently a pope caused his own death by means of this sin and vice.”…..

    • The burning city of Sodom reveals it is a very old, BC problem. Chaucer’s depiction of a fat friar in the “first English novel” Canterbury Tales, 1387, has more recent pedigree. I think it was in the wives tale. Flies buzzing around the friar…

Luther had his own lust issues, pimping his nuns. He called his nun wife katarina “chain”. Big brained, he blamed god for his rage and lust, calling it his “enslaved will”.

Old school popes had a treatment for sodomy and it involved fire and wood in a public square.

      • If a whore calls herself a nun before being pimped out it is no concern of mine. Similarly the entire RC priesthood can buttfuck each other senseless & as a non believer I care not. Adults can do as they wish amongst themselves.

Where I take issue is the scum priests using their authority & position of trust to wreck the lives of children in order to satisfy their warped desires.

Today’s COVID numbers and updates from the Ministry of Health for 22 January 2022.

The Auckland Airport case has been confirmed as the Omicron variant. There are 43 new community cases.

  33. President Joe Biden’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for federal employees was blocked on Friday by a federal judge.

Biden does not have the authority to impose such a mandate, U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Brown wrote in a 20-page ruling obtained by The Epoch Times.

Federal law says the president “may prescribe regulations for the conduct of employees in the executive branch,” and government lawyers argued that the act of becoming vaccinated is “plainly ‘conduct.’” The judge, though, sided with plaintiffs, who asserted the conduct cited must be “workplace conduct” for him or her to regulate it.

“Yet, we felt compelled to write the following as a show of solidarity with his current plight. Our aim here is not to air our disagreements with Mr Tamaki. Rather we stand in solidarity with a religious minister who has been imprisoned, right here in Aotearoa.”
