    • No Tarquin, we do not necessarily need someone like Trump, we just need a politician with some balls & vision, who will speak up when needed, to represent the ordinary hard working, thinking man in the street.

      • I never thought the day would come when I considered voting for WP but unless he makes a complete stuff up of his come back, he might get my vote. He is the only one who would kick 3 waters to the ditch along with that crazy separatist , co-governing idea (can’t remember how to spell it !)

          • Well tell me who to vote for —Ardern, Luxon and Seymour and their parties are definitely off the list.
A few of the smaller parties have some good ideas but they will not get 5%.
What I hope will happen is the VFF ladies decide to get involved in the campaign in some way (not forming another party, necessarily). They have a massive following and they know how to campaign —in fact on that score, they will whip the rear ends of all the other parties.

            • Not for me to say Ross – but I seldom judge party’s on a single issue. There is no party that exists whose policy matches my beliefs on every issue. Having said that I fully understand your angst as the so-called opposition have been very absent on some important issues. We deserve what we get when over 50% of the populace say they support this ridiculous governments covid management policies

              • Agree SC. I’m a bit fired up today after reading the arrogance and ignorance shown by all NZ politicians. But what is happening related to our freedoms is not just another issue, it is the biggest issue to face us in a long time and yet no politician seems to see it , except those imposing the changes.
The fact that I even think of WP shows me how poorly we are currently served by our MPs.

                • Good articles thanks Ross. Always enjoy KDF’s commentary pieces. He epitomises everything that has been lost in modern journalism.
I was thinking about your comment earlier on the smaller parties and to me therein lies the answers. They will only struggle for 5% if people think there is no point in voting for them. Actually there is and MMP makes it a worthwhile endeavour. I had a look at the New Conservative website – here is their policy page https://www.newconservative.org.nz/policy/
A lot of traditional value thinking there; the sort that the National Party used to promote before they became captured by the liberal left and tethered to the center.

I said to hubby yesterday if Peters hadn’t obfuscated every situation and been so slippery during his political life he could actually have become PM a few decades ago. He’s slithered around too many situations of his own making to be taken seriously. What is happening with the SFO investigations?

How Trudeau pleaded Canada truckers ‘to stop’ after stir got ‘out of hand’; Similar protest in NZ

Eleven days occupation against coronavirus restrictions that has paralysed Canada’s capital, the protests have become a rallying cry for powerful far-right and anti-vaccine groups around the world that have made the cause their own. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said the trucker protest taking place in Ottawa must come to an end, citing disruptions it has caused to the economy and the local residents.

  3. A wealthy Arab Sheik was admitted to hospital for heart surgery, but prior to the surgery, the doctors needed to store his type of blood in case the need arose.
As the gentleman had a rare type of blood, it couldn’t be found locally, so, the call went out.
Finally a Scotsman was located who had a similar blood type. The Scot willingly donated his blood for the Arab.
After the surgery, the Arab sent the Scotsman in appreciation for giving his blood, a new BMW, 5 carats of diamonds, and $50,000 dollars.
A couple of days later, once again, the Arab had to go through a corrective surgery.
The hospital telephoned the Scotsman who was more than happy to donate more of his blood again.
After the second surgery, the Arab sent the Scotsman a thank-you card and a box of Cadbury chocolates.
The Scotsman was shocked that the Arab did not reciprocate his kind gesture as he had before.
He phoned the Arab and asked him: “I thought you would be generous again, that you would give me another BMW, diamonds and money … but you only gave me a thank-you card and a box of chocolates.”
To this the Arab replied: “Aye laddie, but I have Scottish blood in ma veins now”

    • Feeling like we are royally screwed with this pathetic opposition we have. It’s a travesty of justice. Please can someone come out of the woodwork and speak up for the people who are hard working New Zealanders who are not believers of the crap we are dished up on a regular basis. This is really frightening. Chris Luxon leaves me cold as do all the opposition parties. Who to vote for in the next election it’s all going to be more of the same. We are just getting a new kind of liebour. I’m surprised C L hasn’t joined the liebour party, he may as well. David Seymour too there is only one party in New Zealand. FUCK the lot of them.

        • Yes, maybe so. The Country is getting nearer and nearer to being stuffed, I fear she will be continuing moving along that path over the rest of this term. So what would a “change” of Government achieve. Are they going to reverse all this crap that has been set in place? I doubt it.
So let Labour absolutely take the Country to rock Socialist bottom and perhaps when and if it ever wants to climb out of it then real change may take place. The biggest question will be whether there is a majority left that want to change.

  4. Just had a look at the Stuff site this morning, their lead headline this morning. They really should change their name to Pravda NZ.

“Anti-vaxxers target primary schools with ‘extreme’ messages”

Otherwise no mention of the convoys. Oh, and Ardern has done a Trudeau gone into hiding and refuses to meet the protesters. They really are so appalling words fail me.

  5. Crickey Ed, I have just done something I never should, I had a quick look at Fruity Farrar’s blogsite. What a generally nice kind bunch over there, not nasty to anyone and oh so polite for fear of being banned. 90 percent of the commentators here would have been banned for eternity, had they been commenting over there. Fruity, and his moderators obviously do not like plain speaking and telling it like it is, which having heard Luxon being interviewed this morning, hedging answers and obfuscating, is something he does not understand, that being plain speaking, or telling it like it is.

  7. Back in September last year, the MOH responded to an OIA request for “copies of all Pfizer vaccine studies and Pfizer vaccine trials that relate to the demonstration of efficacy of the vaccine in reducing the transmission of Covid-19 in the community”.

MOH response, “Reducing transmission was not an outcome measured in trials of the Pfizer vaccine”.

Need further proof that the mandate and vax passes are not about health?

  8. What’s goin on down there?! ( quite long but worth the read )

“OPINION: Convoys of vehicles travelled from all over the country to arrive in Wellington this morning. New Zealand flags waved from practically every car and signs bore demands for freedom. From afar the mood of the convoys seemed upbeat with participants sharing food, stories, and even crashing on strangers’ sofas on the way to the capital.
Multiple photos of the same elderly serviceman dressed in uniform have been circulating social media. He is standing at the end of his driveway with a New Zealand flag, saluting the passing vehicles. Bless him.
Screenshots of organising correspondence show that the Protest Convoy organisers wanted action that expressed love for their country rather than rage at the Government – though inevitably there was some of that too.
I have no doubt that there was some arsehole with a racist sign or a small group of Q Anon fruit loops. They will have been the anthesis of the majority of the Kiwis there today, but they will be photographed and given disproportionate media attention. Thousands and thousands of determinedly peaceful Kiwis will be tarred because of editorial decisions to depict them all as racist and anti-vax.
I refuse to do that here. I acknowledge that there will have been a few people who let the rest down, just like at any other protest, but I will not dismiss these Kiwis as collectively extreme or hateful.
Protest in New Zealand has accompanied many of our progressive movements and we rightly remember iconic protestors fondly. Regardless of if you agree that Ardern’s Government has been oppressive and that mandates should be removed, we should all respect their right to express their opposition.
Instead, there has been a distinct contempt expressed for these protestors by the elite classes and the media. They are like the truckers in Canada, “the deplorables” in the United States, and the “Covidiots” in Britain. They are the dismissed as irritants who won’t just do as they are told. They are the same people that censorious elites want to prevent from listening to Joe Rogan’s podcast because they can’t be trusted to be discerning on their own.
Like their counterparts abroad, these protestors are on the whole hard-working, tax-paying people who have become so frustrated that they’ve picked up a placard. They have lost jobs, missed funerals, said final goodbyes on FaceTime, made sacrifice after sacrifice; they’ve been scared about their future too.
Of course, those who are most vocal in condemning the protestors are frightened too. They’re terrified of catching Covid-19; something that is all but inevitable at this point. They are able to feel more in control by policing who wears a mask, narking on the cafe that isn’t asking for vaccine passes, and calling anyone who speaks out against the most stringent measures nasty names.
And it is these hectoring vigilantes who, being more likely to be in privileged circumstances, have the most sway over the media and the Government. People who call for the unvaccinated to be refused medical care or New Zealanders abroad to be shut out of their own country can be seen interacting with the powerful and influential online while those expressing hardship over lockdowns and mandates are avoided like the plague.
A degree of sociopathy is discernible in how our Government and its elite surrogates view and treat people like the protestors at Parliament today. They are not to be empathised with, certainly not to be listened to. Their concerns be damned, they deserve only disdain and ridicule.
It is because of this block thinking and singular accepted narrative that we saw not one single MP go out to speak with the protestors. There will certainly be MPs who wanted to, but it appears that all parties have made it clear to their caucuses that no such action will be tolerated.
This is the prudent thing to do, unfortunately. No party wants to be accused of supporting anti-vaxxers or racists. No one wants the Harete Hipango treatment. They know that the media will skewer any MP who sets foot outside regardless of if they agree with the protestors or not. This fear of bringing a negative media cycle down on their party creates a chilling effect and means that there is no room for nuance or a magnanimous gesture from MP to constituents.
Ignoring protestors to avoid poor media may be the politically astute strategy, but I do not think it is right. Our democracy is poorer for the rapidly widening gulf between the political-media class and ordinary Kiwis. Trust in Government and media is declining. Even correspondence between constituents and their local MPs is not what it once was. Fear of being too loose with messaging or speaking too plainly means that responses are more and more likely to be formulaic.
Imagine if each party sent a few MPs out onto Parliament’s forecourt simply to listen and take in the messages being shared with them. Imagine if the media understood that they were simply there to listen and that it doesn’t mean they endorse every sign being waved. Maybe then Kiwis, so fed up that they travelled across the country to stand on the lawn of Parliament, would feel heard and like their concerns might actually be relayed to others and considered with respect.”

    • All those politicians who won’t go outside and meet these people: they’re either craven or arrogant, or both. Unless she perceives you to represent a majority Toothy won’t talk to you. Oh! There is one minority that gets to bend the Prime Ministerial ear as much and as far as it wants…

      20

    • Yes. But any real disruption in supply chain and resultant suffering, will be blamed on the truck protestors.

Better if truckers refused to deliver to vaccine mandate businesses. Target the fascists who are sacking their best employees, and focus of delivering goods to the new community growing from the ashes of the old. Unless these protesting truckers run for parliament, it’s sort of pointless, like most protests.

      7

      0

      • You are correct in that the government won’t immediately back down from a peaceful protest as they would lose face. A mob of 20,000 carrying pitchforks & ropes would have better odds but I hope Godzone never deteriorates into that sort of quagmire. Nations that do seldom rebuild & the results are usually worse than the problems that precede them.

What peaceful protest does do is galvanise public opinion & gets weak people off the fence. Suddenly those who don’t like what is happening see that they are far from being alone & if nothing else they will influence opinion polls.

The thought of being wrenched from the public tit at a subsequent election has been known to change politicians’ minds.

        • If the virus appeared in Wuhan on December 31, 2019… *How are there records of the COVID 19 vaccine dated 2017?*

        • If there really is a Pandemic, *Why does mortality not even reach 1% worldwide?*

        • If the flu virus and covid have the same size *Why has the flu disappeared by using a muzzle but the covid always increases?*

        • If the virus is so deadly *Why do I have to take a test to find out if I have it?*

        • *Why, if throughout history, any vaccine was suspended when 50 people died, now that there is evidence of THOUSANDS dying, they don’t stop it?*

        • If the inventor of the PCR test assured that it should NOT be used for this type of test: *Why did they make it the irrefutable test?*

        • If a healthy person does not produce symptoms *What is an asymptomatic person?*

        • If the virus is so contagious to the point that autopsies are NOT allowed: *Why have mouth covers been treated as common garbage?*

        • *If the holes in the fabric of a mask measure 40 microns…
*How do you stop a virus that is… .04 microns?*

        • *Why was the virus not isolated or sequenced following the Koch protocol?*

        • If there is no isolated or sequenced virus for a study and no country has managed to prove it: *What do the PCRs measure?*

        • Therefore: If there is no virus isolated or sequenced for a study: *How have they been able to manufacture the vaccines?*

        • What are these “vaccines” really?

        • *Why did the pharmaceutical companies say that they would deliver the documents that reveal what the vaccines contain for another 75 years? Is that transparency? Is that reliable?*

        • *Why, if pregnant women had never been vaccinated, now if it has been done? And has it continued to be done even when many have had abortions?*

        • If the vaccine immunizes: *How can an UNVACCINATED affect the health of a vaccinated person?*

        • If the vaccine immunizes: *Why are 80% of those who die from covid those who are vaccinated?*

        • If now it has been proven that the vaccinated are still transmitters of the virus: *What is the point of a health passport?*

        • Why every time a new variant appears, all the previous ones disappear?*

*Why do new variants appear at a speed never seen before, if the mutation of a virus takes much, much longer?*

        • Therefore: *Why do they call the SIDE EFFECTS of the vaccine a “variant”…? Blaming “The Variant” for the clots and complications PRODUCED BY THE FIRST DOSE.* Strange… very strange…

*Why, if 90% of the population is already vaccinated, now we have a record of infections and deaths?*

        • *Why exactly the year of inoculations, we have a high mortality and experts say they do not know why?*

        • *Why don’t they allow debates on television between scientists about the effectiveness of vaccines and their adverse effects?*

        • *Why are the media and social networks responsible for giving opinions on: what is true information or not*

        • *Why does a “computer engineer” control the main pharmaceutical companies and is at the forefront of decisions about vaccines, far above renowned scientists and Nobel Prize winners?*

        • *Why does television tell us that we have to vaccinate children and now even babies; if they have a 0% chance of dying from the virus?*

        • *Why is it in the countries where they are inoculating the population with the fourth dose where more people are dying from the virus?*

        • There have never been universal pandemics that affected all human populations on the planet at the same time and they have never been endless: *Why this pandemic, instead, is global; does it affect everyone equally and does it not end?*

        • *Why do the media report everything that produces fear and silence all the demonstrations that are taking place right now all over the planet?*

  10. “I will govern for ALL new zealanders”….

She governs so well she has seen the most strikes, protests and unrest in my lifetime (only 35yrs, can you older folk enlighten us on younger generation of worse?)

She governs so well shes needed hundreds of police to stand guard at parliament several times within a few months.

She governs so well she needs to repeatedly mandate, dictate and bypass democratic processes.

She governs so well that shes failed at everything theyve tried except banning plastic bags.

“they do not represent the majority”… apply that to 3 waters, vax mandates, flouride, he puapua and the endless other crap thats dictated not by the majority.

Weve seen regular freedom protests and calls to end silly covid rules but somehow the minority view of “experts” and 120mps over rides a majority of 10s of thousands of protesters.
Aint never seen a protest calling for more mandates and lockdowns, if theyre that popular and the majority demand it then where is the opposition to the freedom fighters?…. answer: there is no opposition to the calls to freedom except for our corrupt politicians and media puppets.

The part is to be able to do this in relays, like a tag team, the support, and to be able to reengage..,,,, pop up else where …

I agree it is the numbers, where it starts with I, as well as you & me. 🙂

Live and learn the “tricks of the trade” of protest. The resources to keep it going.
Like the Canadian truckers, when and where to be firm, pivot to another tactic, and when to fold, but achieve another objective, even if it is just an inch, but then repeat again.

To be worthy, to persuade others to consider just a couple of facts, sow a seed, as to remember, it is the total number of people that will change things, that need a commonality of agreement on “No Vaxx Mandate”, and that shreds the “Vaxx passport”, that causes discrimination.

And that is really frustrating when it seems that many, aided and abetted by “media”, the political parties, “the experts”, thatbuild strawman’s arguments of what the Freedom Convoy 2022 is about.
Have they got really got the numbers.

The unvaxxed and non repeating jabbers are the one’s that are painted as defying authorities, with no truths.

The karen-ocacy become even more riled up as it challenges the very points of what they have been lead to believe are the carefully narrated “truths” that lead to the hidden agenda, to be “beasts in the field”.

    • We can all agree it on Vaxx Mandates to go, but as in years gone past, the bauble addicted extracts a high price from us all.
Winston Peters was a great champion of New Zealand giving over to the UN Migration Pact.

The price of houses will rocket as the Housing Ministry will bid on the houses for sale, needed to house the new global migrants.

Sure stop the Vaxx Mandates, to position himself into power, then signing & hog-tieing New Zealand to something of more UN mandates, like digital blog, comments, need a licences and etc… will be the next phase for Winston Peters.

  12. “While the protesters are being addressed by a chap arguing that the whole vaccination programme is con, it’s worth reflecting on another aspect of these protests that put them into some context.
That is that no politician has even come outside for a look, let alone to address the crowd. This is highly unusual for any decent size protest – usually there are at least a couple of politicians who go out to listen to just about anything on free speech/democracy type grounds.
The nation’s politicians are in rare unanimity on not speaking to the protests.”

  14. “11:06am – One person can be seen writing in chalk with a message to Jacinda Ardern.

“Dear Jacinda vaccination rates are not an indication of support”. “People were forced”. ”

1:33pm – Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has said the protesters outside Parliament have the right to be there.

Ardern told Newstalk ZB on Wednesday that while she is concerned about misinformation running through the protest group their right to be there is “a part of New Zealand”.

“We should all be concerned about misinformation. Not just COVID and vaccines but generally,” she said.

“There is a core here where actually they think that they’re trying to save everyone else.”

Ardern said there was a range of different views from protesters gathered on the lawns of Parliament.

The gathering is billed as anti-vaccine mandates but is a “range of perspectives”, including those who were against vaccines entirely.

“I’ve seen a range of protests over my time and this is certainly not large in scale. And not representative of the vast majority of New Zealanders,” she told Newstalk ZB.

“It is very hard to have a conversation about facts when they question everything. But Remember – it’s a small group – keep it in perspective.

“The only reason they can move around is because majority of people are getting vaccinated.”

Ardern said it’s a police matter to move protesters off the lawns of Parliament, not a Government decision.

It’s a Police matter to move protesters on (yep), but only at the behest of the lawful occupier. As the Police are not the lawful occupier it is not their decision to make….that right there is an example of misinformation.

Wonder if she would care to share other examples of misinformation….may be like “the vaccine is perfectly safe and effective”, and “I’m calling my wedding off to comply with the covid restrictions”.

  15. https://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/GE2201/S00070/nanoparticle-tech-paves-way-for-home-grown-vaccines-and-therapeutics.htm
New Zealand’s ability to make its own mRNA vaccines like the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is a step closer with the arrival of cutting-edge nanoparticle technology, the first of its kind in New Zealand.

The NanoAssemblr Blaze is designed to produce lipid nanoparticles to encapsulate mRNA to safely deliver it to cells – the scientific breakthrough that thrust mRNA vaccines to the fore at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Funded by private donors to the Malaghan Institute of Medical Research, the $1m Blaze landed in Timaru this month where it is being installed at South Pacific Sera, a biotech that is part of Vaccine Alliance Aotearoa New Zealand – Ohu Kaupare Huaketo (VAANZ).

Professor Graham Le Gros, Director of the Malaghan Institute and VAANZ Programme Director, says the arrival of the technology marks a significant step towards New Zealand producing its own mRNA vaccines and other RNA therapeutics in the future.

“The Blaze will allow us to bridge the gap between lab research and clinical development. It is just the start of the RNA nanomedicine pipeline we envisage for New Zealand – to translate mRNA and RNA research and development into homegrown vaccines and therapeutics.”

He says having an end-to-end mRNA platform in New Zealand would provide vaccine security and enable a rapid response to future pandemics, something VAANZ has been focused on since it was first funded by the Government in 2020 to lead COVID-19 vaccine research in Zealand.

This is from a 2020 OIA request from someone, may be a bit unhinged with some of her other questions, but is probably on the mark with Gates…excuse the format, it is a c & P from a PDF… QUESTION FORTY-EIGHT – OIA questions (a) How many times have you met Bill and/or Melinda Gates; and where and for what purpose? (b) In May 2020 Bill Gate’s was still involved on the MICROSOFT board of directors AND your family’s MORMON Church had an investment of well over NZD 2 billion in share value in the MICROSOFT group. My questions is have you ever been told of or about any meetings between Bill Gates and the MORMON Church? (c) If ‘yes’ to above question, did any such meeting take place with Bill Gates and/or you or any member of your extended family present, including your Uncle Ian? (d) Did Bill Gates or his companies or funds or foundations, or any funds or charities he donates to or supports ever fund or finance any activity or project or other matter for you or anyone in your extended family or anyone in the NZ Labour party? (e) It is on the record that you did attend the Bill Gates Foundation event named ‘GOALKEEPERS’ around 25 September 2019 and sat with Bill Gate on the stage. It is here: https://www.gettyimages.co.uk/detail/news-photo/bill-gates-jacinda-ardern-and-pedro-s%C3%A1nchez-speak-at-news-photo/1177091476 My question is, who paid for your attendance (travel costs, accommodation costs, food costs and/or for your time) at this event? Was it yourself personally, or the NZ Government or some department therein; or Bill Gates or his Foundation or one of his/its associates; or the MORMON Church; or someone else? (f) Did you make any notes or report(s) to others, including to any arm of NZ Parliament or the NZ Government, about that meeting and/or any other meetings with Bill Gates and/or his wife Melinda? (g) If ‘yes’ to above question, I seek to see copies of such notes or reports. (h) The event ‘GOALKEEPERS’ is publicly recorded to be a multiyear campaign organized by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation dedicated to accelerating progress towards the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals (or Global Goals). The event you participated at in 43 2019 takes a closer look at global inequality and in particular the importance of investing in health and education, addressing gender norms, and adapting to climate change to close the persistent gaps that separate the most and least well-off. My question is do the gender norms include addressing LGBT gender matters, including their equality? (i) The health investment aims or goals that ‘GOALKEEPERS’ promotes, includes mass vaccination AND mass health intervention, of the human race – My question is PM Jacinda, when you were that co-speaker in September 2019, were you aware that GOALKEEPERS includes goals for the mass vaccination of AND mass health intervention of the human race; being akin to what Bill Gates has been promoting at talks and on videos worldwide? (j) Are you aware PM Jacinda, that GOALKEEPERS and UN and WHO and Bill Gates each jointly propose and plan a progressive start in some countries like NZ, at an earlier date than in other countries. Is this correct? (k) if ‘yes’, when did you become aware PM Jacinda? (l) Has Bill Gates ever spoken to you, or in your presence, about his plan to encourage the mass vaccination of around 7 billion people on planet earth? (m) If ‘yes’, has he also spoken with you, or have you asked, about the cost of each vaccine and the proposed sale price of each vaccine per person, which they propose Governments will fund; and the likely regularity of how many times any vaccines might be injected into one person in one year? (n) If ‘yes’ what are the proposed or likely expected costs and sale prices (bulk sales to Governments) of each vaccine per person? (o) What are the other mass ‘health interventions’ in addition to vaccinations, that WHO writes about on its 2019/2020 web site? (p) Are you aware PM Jacinda that the stated timing for the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals (or Global Goals) and its WHO co-commitment, that Bill Gates, and now the GOALKEEPERS group promotes and requires, is the complete world population being vaccinated (indeed, every living person being multi-vaccinated thereafter each year, and given other health interventions) by the year 2030. (q) PM Jacinda, no doubt you have seen this link to understand the detail of the 17 individual U.N. Sustainable Development Goals, backed by the GOALKEEPERS group. https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/sustainable-development-goals/ (r) The pictures and headings of each goal are well presented on the above UN web site; for this seems a very carefully prepared worldwide marketing campaign, whose aim is to covertly recruit volunteers to be vaccinated, and then later to cause a mass forced vaccination – whereas the DEVIL, as always, is in the detail, is it not? Have you read all the ‘detail’ on the UN and WHO web sites PM Jacinda? I have, and it is far from comforting, (s) Also, very relevant is the link here: 44 https://www.gavi.org/our-alliance/global-health-development/sustainable-development-goals This is the UN backed ‘GAVI-The Vaccine Alliance’. It is stated by the UN that the pathway to achieve its ‘Sustainable Development Goals (or Global Goals)’ as Bill Gates GOALKEEPERS co-promotes, is one requiring 17 steps; of which about 14 of these steps the UN and GAVI postulate (according to UN and WHO and Bill Gates) require as a purported essential steps, the regular mass vaccination of the total human population of every possible human disease or virus. My question to you PM Jacinda is, do you agree with this stated UN-GAVI goal to achieve the UN’s ‘Sustainable Development Goals, requiring a mass vaccination and other health interventions of the total human population by 2030? (t) Also, the same ‘vaccination of all’ message, is repeated in WHO’s web pages, see here: https://www.who.int/immunization/immunization_agenda_2030/en/ This web page of WHO states unequivocally their and the UN’s “Immunization Agenda 2030: A Global Strategy to Leave No One Behind”. By leaving no one behind, they are marketing with ‘purported friendly’ MICROSOFT type words, the forced multi-vaccination on earth of every human by 2030. WHO states it is leading the co-creation of a new global vision and strategy …. to be endorsed by the World Health Assembly. WHO/UN document IA 2030 envisions a world where everyone, everywhere, at every age, fully ‘benefits’ from vaccines. My question to you PM Jacinda is why are you fully supporting WHO and its seemingly terrorist campaign to forcibly mass vaccinate and monitor via MICROSOFT’S cloud technology, the world population, including all NZers?

  18. What an eye opener it’s been today. Not one politician was prepared to speak to anyone at the protest. They don’t have to agree with the views but at least listen to why people were there , that’s what MPs do – listen to their voters. Looking at the Stuff stream there was a range of people, from young to older people – you certainly couldn’t say they were all trouble makers. As for Arderns comments – what an arrogant bitch. “They’re just a minority”. So can we dismiss the Maori Party in the government because they are only a minority in parliament? She’d say no to that. And what about those idiotic members of the media, looking down on the crowd from the balcony – there’s no way you can report anything but your own opinion from that distance. NZ MSM – forget about the facts – they’re just not interested. Apart from that, work was good. Sorry about the rant. Cheers.

    • I posted on this lack of engagement by the 120 members of parliament earlier and have been thinking in the interim while walking the dog in the rain.
Seems to me that this lack of engagement or representation is sociologically/politically deeply meaningful.
I mean what the fuck is going on here?
Not one single solitary MP prepared to break rank but all stalwarts holding their line?
      Are they all brainwashed?
This is a very, deeply disturbing concept…. that the entire apparatus of government is unable to escape the vortex they are in.
They are so far down their own rabbit hole or up their own asses that they cannot or will not engage.
I say again, What the actual Fuck.
What does this say about ‘our democracy’?
This is so blatantly discordant with anything I have previously observed in NZ, I don’t know what to think about it; the implications are extremely concerning.
Absolutely no one will speak up or go against the narrative for notoriety/political gain?
Never happened before, there is always some renegade, even if only with the cheap shot…… but now CRICKETS?
Someone please explain this to me.
I know they are all half wits or midwits etc etc…. it is the boggling uniformity that I am having trouble with.
I am aware of the experiments in group think pressure such as
      https://www.verywellmind.com/what-is-conformity-2795889JA
but how are one hundred and twenty members of parliament all in the same fucking group?

Further to your post, this might be of interest.

It’s something I posted this on Louise Upston’s FB page this afternoon. I think it’s self explanatory, although I don’t think the lady will either read it or bother with following my suggestion.

I could of course be totally wrong…

      Dear MS Upston:

You currently have several thousand ‘Ordinary Kiwis’ (many from YOUR electorate) sitting outside Parliament. This the SECOND day they have been there and are not demanding much, just the FREEDOM to be themselves without being jabbed or manipulated by Ardern et al. Yet YOU (and indeed all your fellow National party MP’s) haven’t BOTHERED to front-up and speak to them. WHY? Are you afraid of them? Are you so arrogant that you think they are beneath you? Or are you that much of a ‘Slave to the Party’ that you daren’t break bounds from Chris Luxon and actually DO SOMETHING and THINK FOR YOUR SELF? You PERSONALLY are haemorraging voters by the second, as the farmers in your electorate (The ones BTW who actually FUND you and the Party) are watching and noting what you AREN’T doing (ie, not even bothering to go and speak with the protestors), and because Cockies have VERY long memories, your reception might just be a little cool when you come calling for their money and their votes. You could fix that by just taking a short walk ‘outside’, and I hope you do, but if you don’t, please don’t be shocked when your inaction now has consequences down the track. The choice is yours, and for your political future I DO hope you make the right one. Are you brave enough?

      Thank you.

  19. A mate just called me. He was pulling out of a business close to the Vaccine Clinic out by the Airport. An ambulance pulled out of the Vaccine Clinic at considerable speed with lights flashing. Another critical reaction. And I have heard several reports of similar incidents. I Imagine the lack of sirens was due to not wanting to alarm the sheep waiting in the queue for their jab.

Would you go to Burger King if you heard that every few hours someone rushed out the front door and chundered into the gutter? And at least every 8th patron walked out looking green and holding their stomach?

Should you go to a vaccine clinic if on a frequent basis people walk out looking like they have aged 20 years and you find out they were off work for a week or two, crook as a dog?

Should you go to a vaccine clinic if on a frequent basis people get rushed off at high speed in an ambulance to ED or ICU?

Very very few people would go to a vet clinic that had a reputation of treating animals that way. Why on earth would they be happy to send their children to a clinic that has a similarly poor reputation?

    https://www.stuff.co.nz/business/127721830/acc-already-recruiting-head-for-income-insurance-scheme

ACC has started seeking candidates to head the Government’s Income Insurance Scheme despite the ink barely being dry on a discussion document describing it as a proposal.

Public consultations on the compulsory unemployment insurance scheme kicked off last Wednesday and the deadline for submissions does not close until April 26.

One of the questions on which the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) is seeking input is whether the scheme should be run by ACC or whether it would be “better delivered by a government department or a new entity”.

The public is also being asked the more fundamental question of whether they agree New Zealand should introduce an income insurance scheme covering the loss of work due to health conditions or disabilities.

  28. From: Matahiwi

    February 07, 2022
    Dear New Zealand Police,

In May 2018 the then Commissioner of Police issued a public media statement saying that “Mr Gayford is not and has not been the subject of any police inquiry, nor has he been charged in relation to any matter.”

Currently there are significant number of rumours, supposedly supported by eye witness accounts of a range of reputable people, that Mr Gayford is either on electronic monitoring or in prison. The rumours often allude to this being related to drug or sexual offences.

Does NZ Police hold any information that means they could not, at the current time, issue a further statement confirming that “Mr Gayford is not and has not been the subject of any police inquiry, nor has he been charged in relation to any matter”?

    Thanks

  29. The money shot….
Since January 26, there have been 1781 cases of Covid-19 detected. Of these, 94 per cent are in people who have had at least two doses of vaccine.
“Because many of New Zealand’s Covid-19 cases until now were diagnosed before most of the population had been vaccinated, and case numbers were small compared to most countries, it’s been hard to get a handle on the effect vaccination has had.

That’s now starting to change as case numbers increase.

Stuff has been collating new cases and hospitalisations detected since late January to create a dataset made up of almost entirely Omicron cases, in an environment where most of the population is double-vaccinated.

    MORE FROM
KATE NEWTON • SENIOR DATA JOURNALIST
    kate.newton@stuff.co.nz
Since January 26, there have been 1781 cases of Covid-19 detected. Of these, 94 per cent are in people who have had at least two doses of vaccine.

This isn’t surprising, because New Zealand has very high rates of vaccination but breakthrough infections still happen (especially with Omicron). You can read more about that and a phenomenon called Simpson’s Paradox here.

Unfortunately, the Health Ministry doesn’t break this data down further into people who have had booster shots, which would help to show whether a third dose does offer better protection against infection.

What is more important, though, is the hospitalisation rates for people who have had the vaccine, and those who haven’t.

This chart shows those comparative rates for all new Covid cases since January 26.

That means that currently, in New Zealand, the rate of hospitalisation for unvaccinated people who get Covid is about 26 times the rate for people who’ve had two or more doses.”

  30. “The Carpet Crawlers”

There is lambswool under my naked feet.
The wool is soft and warm,
-gives off some kind of heat.
A salamander scurries into flame to be destroyed.
Imaginary creatures are trapped in birth on celluloid.
The fleas cling to the golden fleece,
    Hoping they’ll find peace.
Each thought and gesture are caught in celluloid.
There’s no hiding in my memory.
    There’s no room to avoid.

The crawlers cover the floor in the red ochre corridor.
For my second sight of people, they’ve more lifeblood than before.
They’re moving in time to a heavy wooden door,
Where the needle’s eye is winking, closing in on the poor.

The carpet crawlers heed their callers:
“We’ve got to get in to get out
We’ve got to get in to get out
We’ve got to get in, to get out.”

    There’s only one direction in the faces that I see;
It’s upward to the ceiling, where the chambers said to be.
Like the forest fight for sunlight, that takes root in every tree.
They are pulled up by the magnet, believing that they’re free.

The carpet crawlers heed their callers:
“We’ve got to get in to get out
We’ve got to get in to get out
We’ve got to get in, to get out.”

Mild mannered supermen are held in kryptonite,
And the wise and foolish virgins giggle with their bodies glowing bright.
    Through a door a harvest feast is lit by candlelight;
It’s the bottom of a staircase that spirals out of sight.

The carpet crawlers heed their callers:
“We’ve got to get in to get out
We’ve got to get in to get out
We’ve got to get in, to get out.”

The porcelain mannikin with shattered skin fears attack.
And the eager pack lift up their pitchers- they carry all they lack.
The liquid has congealed, which has seeped out through the crack,
And the tickler takes his stickleback.

The carpet crawlers heed their callers:
“We’ve got to get in to get out
We’ve got to get in to get out
We’ve got to get in, to get out.”
