That R number will no doubt be made up. But without the IFR number, the R number has no meaning. If the IFR is zero you could have an R number of 100 and it would not make a scrap of difference, because no-one will die.

Rissole is feeling a bit better, so here is my full report.
Yesterday evening I saw a remark on Slater’s site that an occupation was underway against Nazi-style medical fascism at the Auckland Domain. So Rissole (still feeling really crook) I jumped in the car and sped over to defend their rights to be Assholes in the Park.
When I arrived at the Domain to my astonishment there was a Gestapo roadblock at the hospital entrance to the Park. Rissole, not to be outdone, proceeded to another entrance – also blocked by a Gestapo checkpoint.
I decided to interrogate the pigs (I don’t need torture after having watched every episode of Hercule Poirot) and the swine told me everything I needed to know – dumb bastards that they are.
So Rissole parked illegally further down the road out of site of Goebells Goons and proceeded on foot until I spied flags and tents.
Rissole was made most welcome. The pigs had told them they had to be gone by 9:00 pm.

This morning woke feeling I had spent the night on the liquor at The House of the Rising Sun, Sukhamit Rd, Bangkok with Mike Hunty.
At 6:30 am decided to drive to the Auckland Domain and see what had happened overnight.
Went to the hospital entrance. BLOCKED!!! By Downe Ltd Road Construction. Private enterprise in bed with the Police!!! FASCISM!!!
So proceeded to another entrance. Also blocked by Downes!!!
Proceeded on foot again. Saw flags and tents. The freedom fighters have moved up the hill to the Marai area of the Park.
Rissole was greeted by the spiritual leader of this group. This is a different world. Their priestess is a very attractive Maori woman (very, very Maori in appearance) hard to guess her age, perhaps mid thirties at the oldest. She is bare footed. She is vegan and looks a million dollars. She bears a giant walking stick that would honour Lord of the Rings. She is a remarkable spirit. Please don’t ridicule my observations.
They are set up with tents, BBQ (most are not vegan), tents and so on. Some nice ladies there Mikey but out of your class.
I drove one of them to Pak and Save and we purchased $150 of vegan supplies. Non-vegans will eat vegan but not vice-versa. It is INCREDIBLE how much food you get for $150 when ONLY BUYING BASICS!
So went back to protest and then home.
By the way I also interrogated one of the Downes drivers. Again, he sang like a canary, as they say. Downes are indeed in a fascist arrangement with the police and government and that the declared emergency (which is being used to close the Domain’s roads) is a sham.
I hope this all makes sense. If not, I’ll write another report in Rissole’s garden shed 🙂

Yesterday I had a sad experience. I was in a shop buying something and I had, as usual, my laminated mask exemption card stuck badge-like on my shirt; which prompted a conversation with the manager – a woman seemingly in her 30s wearing a muzzle.
In the conversation the manager said that when she had her second experimental DNA injection (she called it a ‘vaccine’) she had a stroke immediately and collapsed and was rushed to A&E. The stroke wasn’t too bad – just collapsing, losing consciousness and a bit of twitching. You know, the sort of thing that you get sometimes when you inject experimental substances into your body.
Anyway, to cut to the chase, she recovered and here she was back at work. She’s not going to have the booster but luckily she won’t lose her job yet because the shop (a large chain) doesn’t enforce a vax mandate, although management is making noises about introducing it sometime soon. It’s up in the air at this stage.
But here’s the rub. This woman doesn’t support the protesters. In her eyes they are trouble makers who are disrupting Wellington businesses and spitting and throwing acid at the police. She’s seen the news reports and that kind of behaviour could lead to all kinds of stuff. You never know where it could go. Not good. Wait for the next election and things will change for the better.
I couldn’t raise the energy to tell her what Nude Nut and Seeless have in store for our country, so I wished her well and left.
Eurokiwi, if sje hasn’t caught by now is there any reason to wonder whether she would have believed what you had to say? I’ve given up too. My head is sore from banging it on against the ‘brick wall’.

The two men moved over about 20 feet and the 1st man started digging a hole, and when he was finished the 2nd man would fill it in. The man watching shook his head and entered the building.
When he got to his office he opened the blinds and looked out the window to find the two men had moved over another twenty feet or so and began to repeat the process, the 1st man would dig a hole and the 2nd man would fill it in. He watched as they repeated this process three more times: They would move over, the 1st man would dig a hole and the 2nd man would fill it in.
Well, the man became very curious about what the two men were doing. We’re they looking for utility lines, he thought? He decided to keep his eye on them throughout the day.
When lunch came the man stepped outside the building and looked for the two men. He saw them several buildings down and the 1st man was digging a hole, and when he was finished the 2nd man filled it in. He thought, “That’s just so curious. I’ve got to find out what those two men are doing.”
When he arrived back from lunch, he noticed the men had moved across the street and were now continuing their work on the other side of the street, the 1st man would dig a hole and the 2nd would fill it in. The man went inside the building and vowed to check on them after work.
As the man left work he saw the two men had worked their way up across the street and had moved over to the next street. He could follow all the mounds where it was clear had been freshly dug and filled in holes, all the same size and shape. The man said to himself, “I can’t stand it anymore, I’m going over there and ask them what they’re doing.” He got in his car and drove to the next street over and stopped where the men were working. He rolled his window down and got their attention and said, “You know, I’ve been keeping my eye on you two all day, watching you work. I have to commend you, you are the hardest workers I’ve seen in a long time. I’ve seen you dig and bury holes all day, and that would leave most men exhausted. But I have a question for you.” He very dramatically asked… “What are you doing?”
The 1st man was leaning on his shovel while watching the 2nd man fill in the hole he had just dug, he looked around at all the holes they had dug, looked back at the man, tipped his hat up on his head and said, “Yeah, I can see where it would be confusing, watching us and trying to figure out what we’re doing. You see, we’re usually a crew of three. The person who plants trees called in with covid today.”
