  1. Countries big and small are chosing sides with or against Putin, if we all thought the coof flu was drawn out and divisive you ain’t seen nothing yet.
This is all orchestrated, the West forced this on the world and their feverish efforts in the last couple of months to get it started in my opinion was because the coof flu narrative was running out of steam years before it was designed to do so.
This could come back to bite the western worlds countries on their collective arses.

    • We are going to start seeing that a hell of alot more.
Silly question but do EVs have a nuetral setting so they could be pushed/towed or do they lock up when flat?

I rekon most EV drivers will be thick enough you could tell them its like a normal car and can push start a flat battery 🙂

      • Trade Tested are doing a roaring trade in mini handheld generators ATM, picked one up me self 5000kw nuclear power station not quite able to be picked up but it has wheels, its quiet and diesel as well, will run all the fridges, (4) and the office PC’s (4) + the UPS at a canter, and at a stretch the 65″ LCE Sony TV probably!?!.

    • There will be lots of photos like this in the future. I reckon the Chinese are probably working on supplying small ICE generators specifically to carry in the boot of electric cars because there will be such a huge market especially when people find that green energy is so expensive and unreliable that they will have to choose between lighting their homes and running the dishwasher and cooker or charging their car.

You’ll probably also find more on Alibaba

However if it goes flat while running junior to school, provided the vaccine passports are dropped, you need to factor you and him spending a long hour in a cafe somewhere while it gets a temporary charge.

And if you live in Auckland, once you drop junior off, you’ll need to spend another hour or two in a cafe or shopping, while it charges off a public charger so you can make the return journey home.

Run low on petrol = 5 minutes to put in 6 litres to get to school and 10 minutes on the way back to refill at a servo.
        Time lost = 15 minutes
Cost to refill the tank = $200

        Run low on electricity
        Time lost = 3 hours
Cost to refill the tank = a few dollars for power, and $800 shopping while your car re-charged,

For everything else there is Mastercard.

choose between lighting their homes and running the dishwasher and cooker or charging their car.

Not only the cost of electricity.
Some created crises, shortage, Climate Carbon Crises will be wrangled in.
Now that Smart power meter systems seem to be in place, it will not be long and you will be only allowed a ration of power per day.

        • Moving ahead with technology and removing government control, we need to adopt the point the point to point model i.e. de-centralised power (political and technology). The hob and spoke model is the Borg model, and electric cars currently fit into that model.

          https://static.wixstatic.com/media/ee668a_b55461dd5db34c11a5b139dfcdd692c2~mv2.png/v1/fill/w_740,h_341,al_c,q_95/ee668a_b55461dd5db34c11a5b139dfcdd692c2~mv2.webp

We are 100% reliant on electricity. Switch off power or have power cuts and suddenly no-one can go anywhere. You can still cook on a coal (or maybe gas barbecue) but with power we are totally reliant on a continuous supply.

Electric cars will become a viable option when we can self generate power, and not dependent on the main grid, the dams, rivers and a corrupt govt that could put MaHoota and her cronies (actually a front for our own Infidelia Castro and her cronies) in control of the water feeding the dams.

Given the current state of power generation and politics in this country, the subsidised electric cars come with a hefty price tag, and one that is not measured in dollars.

If you want to know if something, at a country level, is right or wrong, just support the opposite of what Infidelia wants. You won’t go far wrong.

        • But, but, but I thought that 3 pies wood was going to fix the electricity prices, and make them much lower for us common people, and she stopped the discount for paying early so she could fix it all right up. It appears she may have found a new source of pies to eat and forgot all about it. FJA. I’ve been away for a few days it was glorious but no internet and so ran out of data. I went into two cafe’s while away to get a coffee and was turned away from both for not having a jabby pass and what nasty bastards they were as well. I did tell them what I thought of them and their jabby passes and all that type of thing. It would not have been as bad if they had been apologetic about it but vicious bastards. No use talking to me about how small cafe businesses are hard done by. FJA

          • But, but, but I thought that 3 pies wood was going to fix the electricity prices.

            Lizzie

Woods predecessor, Curran, once said the following (after removing ums, ahs and filler):

“The high power prices are caused by lack of competition. The lack of competition is caused by too many competitors (power companies) in the market place, The only way to get true competition is to have only one central state owned entity that manages power.”

This is the kind of insidious thinking that permeates infantile minds. If Woods nationalised pie shops, you would have only one pie, which would be scantily filled with artificial meat supplied by Bill Gate’s synthetic meat initiative, and it would cost $28 a pie to produce but subsidised to $15 a pie, and the pastry would be made from GM corn flour, imported from some third world communist country.

    • Climate change is real, since it’s a dynamic and not a static system.
The big question is whether or not human activity has a significant influence on climate change.

An existential threat is a wonderful tool for generating fear. Most people can be controlled once you make them fearful.

  2. Bagpipe tune this morning:

    ‘Glengarry’s March’

My tune book notes the following:

‘Played by Alasdair Dubh MacDonell, piper to Allan MacRanald MacDonell as he marched around the burning church of Gilchrist in Easter Ross, 1603’

The church was burned on a Sunday when the enemy clan were at prayer. The exits were sealed and the church immolated. It is said that in order for the tune to be played properly, laddie, you should hear the banging on the doors of those captured inside ‘please..open the doors… please… open the doors’ etc.

    My ancestors were horrible!

  3. Another screaming mad lefty from a local trough is complaining.

Greater Wellington chairman Darren Ponter said he had sent police a “please explain” message asking how this had been allowed to happen.
The Greater Wellington Regional Council has called for an explanation from police at how protesters were able to build fully functioning toilets that are flushing sewage into the city’s wastewater network.

The two makeshift toilets are sitting in the middle of the intersection of Molesworth and Hill streets. Two others were under construction in front of the Court of Appeal yesterday.

Those constructing the toilets were using power tools and large sheets of plywood. A man helping with the construction declined to comment but said there were people of all trades at the occupation helping.

  5. So the Early Settler is going to be eradicated in this country. Well so claims a Reporter for the NZH.

There is some absolute crap written in this country. The government paid for MSM (in this case the NZH) wonder why they are despised. And Maori continue the lie that they have a Partnership with the Crown, whatever “the Crown” is because if they are using the Treaty of Waitangi as a basis for this claim, I can not see the word partnership anywhere in that document.

    Quote”
“Māori can be significantly vulnerable when they feel they’re facing eradication, because it’s something we have lived through for many decades.”

    And,

“Under Te Tiriti, we have a partnership with Pākehā that exercises equal rights. This is not what white supremacy represents.”

It is people like Te Rina Triponel and the NZ Herald which pushes discontent in this country by continually making unsubstantiated claims, not backed up by any fact or evidence to their claims.

A small and possibly unimportant detail is that there are no actual ‘Pureblood’ Maori now alive in NZ; they are all ‘Mix ‘n’ Match’, so the ‘Triponel’ person (Whose name BTW would appear to be either Italian or Croatian, thus unintentionally proving my point) would seem to be just slightly behind the times….

      • Komata, when I went to school in the early 1950’s I remember a Maori teacher I had, Mrs Kapa telling us that there were no full blooded Maori born after 1947 in New Zealand. How true that is, I do not know but I suspect Mrs Kapa may have been correct. I live in an area where there is a very high percentage of Maori in the region. In fact over 50% of the population here is of Maori decent.

Through my wife’s occupation she got to see the Birth Certificates (which was required for identification purposes) of many older Maori. Some of these Birth Certificates stated that they were “Full Blooded Maori” and of these older Maori carrying that wording on their Birth Certificates, they were all born in the 1940’s or earlier.

        12

        0

        • TAH….
I used to wonder whether that date of the last full blooded Maori has been conflated with the death of Tommy Solomon in 1933, being the last of the full blooded Moriori.

My father in law who died 20 years ago is described as being a full blooded Maori on his death certificate, despite a Scots ancestor. The mother in law has an identical fraction of non Maori in her blood line as the FIL so it will be interesting to see how she is classed when she casts off her mortal coil. If she gets the same classification, then logically that makes the wife full blooded Maori, which is a nonsense.

        • Medsafe has made it so that the older people will not escape the “whooping cough” vaxx.

It is now mixed into the tetanus shots, that older people may need a boost about every 20 years or so.

It is then claimed to be the for the good of “your grandchildren”.
Very strange as it common that a large number of young children are “whooping cough” vaxxed. So why vaxx the older generation?

Even worse it is now is Diptheria vaxx now makes it a triple dose for adults.
At the same time no Doctor will admit there is a problem of side effects on the older patients, like severe symptoms of arthritic rheumatic problems in the injected arm.
          https://www.medsafe.govt.nz/Consumers/cmi/b/boostrix.pdf

After all the Doctors will tell you it is a dead vaccine, and does not do those things.
And then put it down as an age related co-morbidity as being natural for one’s age.

The system has got that down pat now, as the younger sports, athletes, heart issues are put down as stress related, or too much marijuana, or too much heat or too much cold because climate change crises, and that really needs urgent treatment.

      • Oh dear, Grandson has covid. He has been living with friends at the moment, and his father and the dads partner insisted that he get jabbed double of course, booster imminent however both grandsons insist they are not getting boostered under any circumstances. My grandson said that yesterday he just felt as he did after getting the second jab, sick and just really off with such a headache. So he did think that he probably had the virus. His friends family have not had the jab and they do not have the virus, they have all been tested and zero for them. My grandson’s mother (my daughter ) who died last year was so against the jab she would have been horrified that the boys dad insisted. But isn’t it just so strange that the family have all been jabbed and still got the virus, whereas the friend and his family who he has been staying with unjabbed and no covid for them. My grandson said it’s all so over rated, he felt lousy one day today he feels ok. He said well the jabby is working well. /// Of course the father and his partner are having to isolate with him, but the partner insists he has to remain in his room!!! FJA

Hence Downers doing the street work in Auckland. They really don’t want a bar of the socialists and their bad behaviour as it makes it harder for them.

Since the reduction of Plod in Taumarunui, graffiti has spring up around town, prior to the reduction in Plod numbers, there was not one iota of graffiti.

Funny thing is most of the graffiti of it is right outside the Plod Station. The few police remaining can not miss it every time they leave the Plod Shop.

Yes, they successfully pressured their staff into thinking that they had been given a lawful order to take the shot. Freedom!
One of the most invigorating things about Camp Freedom is the absence of fear. The protesters aren’t scared. They move freely amongst the crowd and greet and socialise in the usual human ways. There are smiles, handshakes and hugs.

For example i know at least a doz ppl in my locality with zero intentions of selling their houses or farm yet have listed them for rediculous sums on the theory that if some dumb fuck pays that much theyll happily sell and move on to something better and if not then no worries.

What your seeing kea is the above occuring throughout the whole country, ppl can see the market boom coming to an end too and having a crack at bug capital gains before it flatens or drops.

Ill acknowledge your predections when our unemployment rate soars, interest is at 8-10% and we see panic sellers dumping properties for much less then they paid. While we have a labour shortage ppl can demand more $$$ to cover extra expenses although the border easing may change that but probs take a few months to get enough workers into the country.

    • Probably took down the old telephone and power poles, which had marker levels of the previous and older flood levels then built another suburb.
      .
Seen it very recently this month, in my local area when people do not even remember how high it got just 10 years ago, but try to say it is Climate Change. 🙁
      .
Also drainage improved, like larger culverts, but that water will accrue on a “flood-pain” where that nice riparian planting plus trees now hold the water up.
      .
Lismore is renowned for frequent floods.
One of the worst of these occurred in 1974, when waters rose to a height of 12.1 metres (40 ft), which was preceded by a major flood of the same height in 1954, and others of somewhat lesser severity in 1966, 1962 and 1989.[25]
      .
In 1999 a government-funded scheme to protect the CBD and South Lismore from a 1-in-10-year flood event was approved.
This proposal would mean that most of the smaller floods would not enter the central area of Lismore and substantially improve the time available for the evacuation of residents and the business community in larger floods.[26]
Nonetheless, around 3000 residents of Lismore were evacuated after floods affected much of the area on 30 June 2005,[27] many being temporarily housed on the campus of Southern Cross University.
However, the new levee that had been completed two weeks prior limited damage and stopped the water reaching the Central Business District.
      .
In the aftermath of Cyclone Debbie in March 2017, Lismore was again badly affected by flooding of up to 3.5 metres (11 ft) through all CBD businesses.
Wilsons River reached 11.6 metres (38 ft) and the levee was overtopped for the first time since its completion.[28][29]
      .
A budget of $8.2 million for additional flood mitigation works was announced in November 2018.[31]

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lismore,_New_South_Wales
      .
So cleared an “rain forest” in a low lying flood plain. No surprise.
Many New Zealand towns are placed placed in similar problematic areas, and the expansion then goes into even more risky areas.
Now it all suits the stupidity of the beat up for “Climate Change”.

……”The irony here is that having spent most of their lives kicking against the establishment, the wokeists are the establishment. They have won the big ideological wars and are on the same side as all the institutions of power and influence: the government, the bureaucracy, the media, academia, the arts and even the craven business sector.

The dissenters, disrupters and challengers of the status quo – in other words the people protesting outside Parliament – are the new radicals. This requires the moralisers of the left to recalibrate their political thinking, and I get the impression it’s more than some of them can cope with.”…….

        • Yes. The mandates are the thread that holds the protest together. The day the megalomaniac bitch ditches the mandates plus the enabling legislation is the exact same time that 90% of the protesters will call it a day.

          • We should hope that the spirit of public resistance only grows. I still cannot believe they simply didn’t lock the protestors up, follow their New World marching orders. After all the vaccine murder, you can’t say they aren’t ruthless enough. Why did they cave?

The left and all its weaponry are losing the culture war. They don’t have a stranglehold on the message anymore, their works manifest their hate. By their fruits. This is perhaps a continuation of the anti PC fervour Trump, Brexit, Jan 6, whipped up, and the anti-nationalist globalists are seething.

But up the rouble sometime soon.

    FINANCIAL STRESS EXTREME
The Russian ruble has just opened for trade this week. It was instantly down -30% on top of last week’s -30% dump. It is now approaching 120 to the USD. It is hard to imagine Russia selling its hard assets to protect the value of its currency. Why would they give up real assets for their own wavering currency?

    • It was always going to happen Kea. The Government effectively kicked the can down the road for 2+years at an ENORMOUS COST.
I do not think many realise the economic impact of their crazy approach to it all.

I was at 60th birthday party on Saturday and was talking to a guy, who would right at home at YSB. He and his wife are unvaccinated but their 6 kids are all vaxxed. He said the kids all think the Government are doing really well. He tries to point out the facts and economic impacts, including saying that they (and their kids when they have family) will be paying for it in some way. But it does not sink in. I presume most of them work for Government or companies which do alot of business with Government so they have not lost their jobs and have not had go without anything. Some day in the future they are in for a rude awakening.

      • Perhaps, though it’s worth considering how successful the Mad Queen has been in her quest to divide & rule.

As Kea noted above she has used the “pandemic” to cleanse the public service of all but the woke. Add in the spineless private sector who have sacked all those who would oppose the WEF intentions. The apologies we call a political opposition are wedged firmly up her arse & the unvaccinated are rated as lower than the fourth Indian caste on the subcontinent.

Until the vaccine does its work on their hearts & health your mate’s kids may have secured their place at the trough.

  20. Dear Mr Flip flop. You chastised the protesting rabble in an earlier tweet. Then you tweet this. Why?

    Winston Peters@winstonpeters

Only under severe public pressure the govt has now brought forward the lifting of restrictions and self-isolation for international travellers and allowing kiwis to come home sooner.

Why did it take a protest and pressure for the govt to come to their senses?

I am keen for them to explain how tribes from the Taranaki get to have territorial rights (mana whenua) over the Wellington area.

      • Well they went there before the 1856 earthquake and Wellington was a serious of islands. Very little foreshore at all especially from Nauranga to Petone. Miramar, Island Bay didn’t exist as a land but either swamp or sea. The city foreshore was very small. The area that is the basin reserve didn’t exist.
so they are claiming ownership of non existant land that they drove the current inhabitants from.

Like the govt. they never stop lying.

      • Nasska….
The word holocaust was bandied around a few years back by a prominent Maori activist to describe European colonialism in NZ…I responded to him by saying that the word was probably appropriate to describe the two Taranaki tribes (Ngati Tama and Ngati Mutunga) invasion of the Chathams and certainly was as it applied to the Horowhenua tribes annihilated to extinction by Ngati Toa.

As you would expect from your link, Mr Love makes no mention of who inhabited the Wellington area before the Taranaki lot moved in, so I assume that it was unsettled and there for passive occupation….yeah right.

    • “Anyone else enjoying the irony of Taranaki tribes getting upset at visitors (manuhiri) to Wellington not showing respect for Maori protocols (tikanga).”

It’s a power play. Taranaki tribes are asserting their superiority and rights to dictate protocols to other (lesser) tribes.

Don’t think of them as “Maori” (a Western construct). Think of them as ever-waring ever-fighting iwi who hate each other. (A bit like the clans of Japan in the Sengoku Period (Ref: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sengoku_period) before the first Shogun unified the country.)

TV-1 News has just reported protesters broke into a marae down there (Wellington) and left feaces…
Once again, no proof it was “protesters” but reported as such.
I would like to think if ANY freedom fighters saw someone, protesters or not permanently defacing property they would get the police to do their job and arrest them.
I don’t believe a protester did this and it’s just another way to try and divide the nation.
I have no proof either way, I have no proof either way, but don’t believe anyone in our group of loving people would do this.
Stay strong 💪, stay respectful, see you in Wellington soon!

I drove past the convoy today, the squalor and the tents were confronting but the worst part was seeing people with obvious COVID symptoms freely walking around unmasked.

I have no doubt they are adding to the public health emergency and infecting Wellingtonians #GoHomeToBed

  23. This is a good summary of where NZ is right now and of Luxflakes and the Nats.

    Barry Brill: Coming Apart …

This article was first published at Breaking Views

New Zealand is a country of immigrants. Although it was the last country on earth to be occupied by humans, we have made up for lost time with successive waves of arrivals.

The Polynesian people from our local region arrived first, followed by the British from half a world away. Then people came from other European countries and – in the last half-century – from all the Asian/Pacific countries. The 2013 census noted that we now have more ethnicities (213) than the UN has countries (196).

    • NZ has a great opportunity to evolve as a nation of one people. Dividing people will create much resentment and will end very badly. This is an opportunity to say goodbye to the Old World and the old tribal ways and to start afresh.

  24. Poison Control Centers Warn About on Toxic Chemical in At-home COVID-19 Test Kits
    By Jack Phillips
    February 27, 2022 Updated: February 27, 2022

Some at-home rapid COVID-19 tests contain a toxic chemical that may be harmful to both children and adults, according to health officials.

The Cincinnati Drug and Poison Information Center reported an uptick in accidental exposures to a possibly toxic substance in at-home COVID-19 test kits, according to a blog post. Meanwhile, the National Poison Control Center issued a warning about the chemical.

    https://www.theepochtimes.com/poison-control-center-issues-warning-on-toxic-chemical-in-at-home-covid-19-test-kits_4305185.html?utm_source=newsnoe&utm_campaign=breaking-2022-02-27-3&utm_medium=email&est=NiyAUIhI7mfjz1ln%2FEAh%2Fdb2tmA077isKrfMMbCpP8dRIX5JEEiPU4KbxLiAsl4%3D

It is important to know that the extraction vial in many rapid antigen kits includes the chemical sodium azide as a preservative agent,” the center said. “The BinaxNow, BD Veritor, Flowflex, and Celltrion DiaTrust COVID-19 rapid antigen kits all contain this chemical.”

Sodium azide is a colorless, odorless powder that testers dip cotton swabs into. The chemical is found in herbicides, pest control agents, and airbags for cars.

“Small doses of sodium azide can lower blood pressure, and larger doses may cause more serious health effects,” an advisory from Health Canada also said. “ProClin is also found in many kits. It contains chemicals that can cause skin and eye irritation, as well as allergic reactions.”

  25. NOTHING TO FEAR
    By Dr Muriel Newman

In a week when Russia invaded the Ukraine, and when the protesters in Wellington scored a major victory with the removal of vaccine mandates for children, the Government has embarked on a charm offensive to quell the growing public opposition to its racist He Puapua agenda.

He Puapua is, of course, Labour’s ‘masterplan’ to replace democracy with co-governance and tribal rule..

  26. Prosecutors, noting Johnson is a stay-at-home dad whose wife works as a physician, wrote that “their financial situation is so favorable that Johnson has not had to work for the past 11 years.”
    Epoch Times Photo
Adam C. Johnson attended a Washington D.C. rally on Jan. 5, 2021, then posted this photo on Facebook under the heading, “Riot!” (U.S. Department of Justice/Screenshot via The Epoch Times)

Defense attorney Dan Eckhart took umbrage at the notion stay-at-home parents don’t work, or that Johnson “is an entitled or privileged person and he hadn’t worked for 11 years.”

“Nothing could be farther from the truth,” Eckhart said. Johnson was a nearly 4.0 grade-point-average student at the University of South Florida in pre-med studies. “So Mr. Johnson decided to give everything up, gave up his whole career. …Instead of going to med school, being a doctor, he’s a stay-at-home dad.”

Judge Walton did not agree with the government’s assessment. “I respect a man who forsakes his career to raise his children. I’ve no problem with that,” he said. “I think that’s a great thing. Five boys, I know it’s a hard job.

“A lot of people think a parent … staying at home taking care of kids is an easy job,” the judge said. “I know it’s not, so I commend you for that.”
