    Another day in jacindaland awaits; DON’T let them grind you down and all power to the Protestors, wherever they may be.

    The link below concerns the Wellington (‘Main’) protest and appeared on The Daily Examiner NZ site late last night. It is a few hours old as a result and whether of not anything Police-related subsequently-occurred I do not know (Hopefully not).

    That detail notwithstanding, have posted it here as a record ‘Just in case’.

    I’d have gone down myself if it wasn’t a 1400 km round trip and the fact that I could still face a $10,000 fine for leaving Auckland as an unvaxxed / unclean NZr.

        • Back in 2012 when crude oil prices were higher than now, a liter of 91 was about $2.12. Part of the higher cost ($3 per liter now) is due to the $NZ being significantly weaker again the $US than it was in 2012, but a lot of the difference is due to higher petrol taxes.

          At what price per liter would you significantly changer your petrol-buying behavior?
          a) It would make no difference
          b) At $4 a liter I would reduce my discretionary driving
          c) I’ll start using public transport (said no-one)
          d) I’ll move to Australia
          e) I’ll sell my car and get an electric bicycle

          • I think that the petrol companies made a big mistake when they introduced pay at the pump.
            They miss out on a heap of extra spending, like a pie, drink, chips etc. You just put in petrol and go.

          • D Is looking very attractive. Im starting to question why the hell i came back now, about 1/3 the income here compared to what i was on back 2009-2012 in WA. Big financial sacrifice just to be back somewhere green with real bush and close to family.

            • 13 years ago we did the same, coming back from a long stint in WA. Much bigger money there, but the place is fucking horrible. Mrs Leofric and I wanted actual greenery and winter fires. Some days I wake up wondering why the fuck we didn’t just take concrete pills and put up with the sand, flies and heat. At least we didn’t have communist fucktards in charge, and the horis taking over.

    Agreed, with Phil Goff being currently the most obvious of that group. I’ve also noticed that the most ‘Pro-freedom / People’s rights above all and ‘liberation for all’, ‘Socialism will-triumph and free the world’ type of protestor becomes the most dictatorial and autocratic individual when put in a position of power (Although dl is an amateur compared to some).

    Not sure why, but it would seem to have something to do with the wiring…

    A police operation at Parliament is underway this morning and protesters in Wellington have moved cars and campervans to block road entrances.

    Police are descending on Parliament, with at least four large police paddy wagons now outside the protest occupation and a helicopter flying overhead.

    They say a “pre-planned operation” is underway and are asking the public to stay away.

    Protesters are reacting by throwing cones at police as they move in.

    The following message is playing over loud speaker: “This is the NZ Police, the Parliament grounds are closed. If you do not leave you are trespassing”

    • I am filled with disgust for both the police who carried out the orders of this crazy bitch and the parliamentarians who have succumbed to the phizer money. New Zealand is not a country to be proud of now. This was never about health of New Zealanders. I hate dl and the whole team of 119 parliamentarians who we pay a good salary to do absolutely nothing, apart from agree to give money to god knows what.     • Stuff is reporting that a photographer and reporter have been chased down Moleworth Street by a mob of angry protesters ‘Ardernite riotous police’ telling them to “f— off” or they’ll “smash” them.

    • Molesworth Street is now closed under the policing act. Anyone who doesn’t leave, including reporters will be arrested, police said.

      There are large tow trucks on the scene.

      The photos of the supposed tow trucks seems to be trucks with large hiabs for self loading containers.
      There will likely be some bent, damaged vehicles if they are used.

      “People have sat in their cars and been pulled out by police,” she said.
      All exit points are blocked off by police.

      So how did the police gain entry to the people in the cars?
      Break windows?

      Maybe a smoke bomb or flour bomb?

    • I wonder what other fall back positions the protesters may have in mind.

      11:24am – Police are gathering in large numbers at the Molesworth-Aitken intersection, some in full riot gear.
      Protesters on megaphones have been asserting what they say is their right to stay on Molesworth St, and some have been singing the national anthem.

      11:22am – Murphy Street is now closed from intersection of Pipitea Street, all vehicles being diverted eastward down Pipitea towards Thorndon Quay.

      11:18am – The camp kitchen is being dismantled, and an RNZ reporter says that children are involved in taking it apart and helping move wood away.

      11:14am – A Molesworth Street apartment resident says it appears some protesters are moving their structures into Parliament grounds.

      Will the police await another time for a dawn raid, or keep on moving.
      They must be stretched out a bit thin time wise, of being on duty for the day.

  6. ANZ economists say a significant drain of people out of the country could put pressure on the housing market and have ramifications for RBNZ monetary policy

    The reopening of New Zealand’s border could see “a large net outflow of Kiwis” during the rest of this year, economists at the country’s largest bank say.

    And they say that such an outflow has the potential to put pressure on the housing market and construction industry.

    Dairy prices were again sharply higher at this morning’s Global Dairy Trade auction, with the GDT price index gaining 5.1 per cent since the last auction.

    Prices were up across the board, led by a 10.9 per cent surge in cheddar prices to US$6394 a tonne.

    Wholemilk powder prices, which have the greatest impact on Fonterra’s farmgate milk price, shot up 5.7 per cent to an average US$4757/a tonne.

    Skim milk powder, which also has a strong bearing on the milk price, gained 4.7 per cent to US$4481a tonne.

    Butter prices gained 5.9 per cent to an average US$7086/tonne, anhydrous milk fat 2.1 per cent to US$7048/MT and butter milk powder firmed 5.8 per cent to US$4217/tonne.

    National Party leader Christopher Luxon said he came into Parliament just after 5am.

    Struggling to speak over a loud speaker that could be heard in the background, Luxon told Breakfast he could hear police informing protesters that they are trespassing and that if they obstruct staff, they will be arrested.

    Asked if it was time to shut the protest down, he said: “Yes, I think it is. It’s been an incredibly tough time for Wellingtonians trying to navigate their city and go about their daily business.”

    Luxon said none of the parliamentarians had been supportive of the protest because of the abuse that had been experienced by ordinary members of the public over the last 23 days.

    Asked if could have been shut down earlier, he acknowledged that the Government had no influence on police and that it was really a police matter.

    On Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Luxon said National was “repulsed” by what was happening there. They were encouraging the Government to do a number of things in response – including removing our ambassador, offering humanitarian services on Ukrainian Kiwis in New Zealand, as well as possibly offering their family members a special humanitarian visa to allow family members to enter New Zealand.

    He also called for any Ukrainian visa applications to be fast-tracked.

  17. Russia’s Foreign Ministry on Monday issued an apparent warning to European Union countries providing weapons to Ukrainian defense forces after Russia’s invasion last week.

    “There will be a harsh response to the EU actions. Russia will continue to ensure the achievement of vital national interests irrespective of the sanctions or their threat. It is time Western nations realized that their complete dominance in the global economy is long gone,” the Foreign Ministry told Interfax.

    It then warned that “EU citizens and entities involved in the delivery of lethal weapons, fuel, and lubricants to Ukraine will bear responsibility for any consequences of such actions to manifest themselves during the ongoing special military operation.”

    “They cannot fail to understand how dangerous these consequences are,” the ministry stated. It did not elaborate on what penalty or punishment Russia might try to inflict.

    Representatives from the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut, including its president, Klaus Cichutek, had agreed to meet with Schöfbeck and other BKK officials about their concerns this afternoon. Schöfbeck’s termination was obviously timed to prevent his participation at that meeting, which will now go forward without him.

    Top questions on the agenda are understood to be:

    ❌️ Access public services like libraries, swimming pools, museums, art galleries, zoos, and even toilets and more.

    Many have experienced harm from the vaccine and have been denied exemptions from further doses. Others have watched family and friends struggle with their health post-jab, and some have lost loved ones after taking the vaccine. ⚰️😢

    These are people simply wanting to go about their lives peacefully; making their own informed choices regarding their health – free from coercion and punishment. 🛂

    They want to be able to put food on the table for their families. They want to retain their homes and not be forced to live in their cars with their kids. 🚗

    They are in Wellington as a last resort. All other avenues for discussion and debate have been shut down.

    The Government refuses to speak to them. They will engage with the Mongrel Mob and the Taliban, but they won’t even TALK with the protestors. 🙅‍♀️

      The MOH has stated that they had the same data supplied to them by Pfizer as what is in the above report. Remember those 1223 deaths are ones reported voluntarily through the likes of VAERS and represent 1-5% of the actual vax deaths.

It has apparently been captured by WIllie Jackson and is now in the hands of a body called Options Development Group. The purpose of the ODG is to to ensure any partial reviews of the general policies of the DOC were guided by perspectives and insights from te ao Māori at a national level. “This process would see all Conservation Land reviewed. National Park status is likely to be removed in some cases. All decisions on the future of land including, its resources, would be made by Māori.”
    Among the things apparently in the wind are the ability for Maori to commercially develop conservation land without objection.

    • I can just see a Chinese company given the rights (for a lucrative annual fee) to build a skyline restaurant and cable car up to one of the many peaks that in recent years has been gifted to iwi.

    Police punch and pepper spray the protesters. A large number dangerously rush the protesters. Many people are hurt. At least two police fall to the ground as their colleagues walk over their own.

    At around 6AM, police moved in, securing the library, removing tents and setting up a perimeter in riot gear. Near the entrance to Parliament grounds, the police then started removing tents on the pavement, including a cooking area, using pepper spray on many innocent people.

    As of around 8:30 am, police started removing protester vehicles with forklifts.

  95. 🙁 my mother has been an avid and very loyal covid sheep for 2 yrs shes obeyed every order and for 18mnth s thought jacinda has been amazing… well ive just spent the last 20mins on the phone trying to calm her down. Shes been watching the police crap unfold in wellington and absolutely appalled at what the police are doing and distraught that our politicians are endorsing it and the massive disrespect shown to the protesters over the past 3 weeks.

    My mothers a tough cookie and in my 35yrs ive only ever seen her breakdown and cry like that maybe half a dozen times, my mother is genuinely heartbroken and terrified at what has become of our once free spirited and fun loving country. She now feels great guilt and shame for standing by, obeying and doing nothing which has allowed us to end up where nz is today.

    I hope theres 10s if not 100s of thousands of people like her waking up to the situation we are now facing, no longer can we disagree with govt and no longer can we feel safety and protected by our police.

    Im angered by what is happening in wellington but im even more pissed and upset at how shit and guilty that cunt jacinda has made my mum feel.
    I have made alot of enemies in my life but i genuinely have never felt so much hatred or despised someone so much in my life as jacinda ardrern.

    Police are on their way to the freedom camp at Picton. Please don’t come down. The camp have decided to ask for time to peacefully pack up and leave. The reason is that they were standing in solidarity with wellington for as long as wellington stood. We have heard that wellington have been pushed out. The organisers are saying retreat. There are women and children here and infrastructure that need not be damaged that could be used in future.
