  1. Boo hoo Kathy Griffin is still not funny

I was going to comment about how pathetic Stuff is for not reporting Trump’s yuge victory in getting SCOTUS approval for $2.5 billion for his wall (and point out in the process how broken is democracy if it had to go to SCOTUS for a President to deliver on a campaign promise).

But I thought instead I’d laugh at the appalling Kathy Griffin, who is still playing the “poor me” victim card after she embarked on a vicious hate-speech campaign against the newly elected Trump and (more disgustingly) Trump’s poor son Barron.

As far as I can tell, she never has been funny (a deep and fatal flaw for one whose chosen profession is comedienne), her bloodied-Trump head photo was as clear an incitement to political violence that one can think of and a damning condemnation of the environment of hate that Trump’s predecessor (whose real name is Barry Soreto) had engendered.

I wonder if perhaps a total lack of talent, her appallingly vile behaviour, her inability to accept responsibility for terminally stupid decisions and her all round unlikability might be the reasons this revolting dried out husk is unemployed – but no, she’s probably right, it’s just a vast conspiracy that a left-leaning mainstream media is listening to Trump and blacklisting her talentless bony ass.

    What a loser.

    • Trump has had the last laugh once again! Take that stupid Kathy. A huge “F you” to tens of millions of Americans who voted for him didn’t go down so well…

    • Obviously her phone has rung at least once, so she’s a fibber on top of all that:

Her new documentary, Kathy Griffin: A Hell of a Story, is the tale of a pilloried woman who fights back.

Someone, somewhere had to back that.

      • Fuck me. She now has a Navy ship & an Airforce aircraft at her disposal to take her on her overseas holidays.

I can see why Jethro has a permanent stupid smirk on his face. He must think he has won lotto.

        Talk about banana republic dictators.

Once the high welfare cheque she receives and all the armed forces transport, off shore travel etc at her disposal is gone I wonder if he will stick around? It’s been very beneficial to him so far. He is in it for himself for certain. The harridan is nothing flash. Her personality is pathetic she can’t carry out a conversation without the umm ahhh so?????

How many litres of fuel to steam the boat all the way there and back?
How big is the carbon footprint?
All just to take Jethro fishing to do a film shoot for his tv show!

              • I was watching a videos of the tsunami in Japan. When you see all the plastic floating around all the fishing villages on the coast you can see where the majority of the worlds plastics that end up in the oceans comes from. Whenever there is a larger than normal tide, in any country, it drags all the plastic lying around factories, homes and waterways directly out to sea. Look at the damage of the small flooding of the Fox river has caused.

      • Jacinda Ardern birthday is 26 July so it is her birthday.
Ross Ardern Birthday is February 1954 so he collect the NZ Govt pension, plus any cop pension, plus his remuneration for these roles plus any investment income – since he is presumably housed and fed as top dog in Niue or wherever he is now.
The Mormon church will be happy if he is tithing 10% of that.
Methinks he might qualify as a Rich Prick.

It was while Fatguts Lange was visiting Tokelau in 1985 with even less communication than today that the Yanks pushed for a Warship to visit NZ under the neither confirm nor deny policy.
This led to the other Labour ‘peaceniks’ in Wellington taking the ‘no warships’ stance that stood for many years.

Tokelau is a territory of New Zealand; it’s voted twice to stay that way.
Why the hell would you not vote for free money?
Since five sixths of the Tokelau pop. lives in NZ why not just move the rest here and put a weather station there so it is occupied.

The same could be considered for Niue. They have about 1200 people with vastly more resident in NZ.
They have better democracy than Auckland city with 20 MPs in their parliament. No kidding.
Great gig if you can score it.
They still probably take less holidays than Ardern 🙂

  5. Act claim Cindy has made a dangerous call in her opening move to put building at Ihumatoa on ice
    https://www.msn.com/en-nz/news/national/ardern-is-promoting-illegal-behaviour-at-ihum%C4%81tao-says-act/ar-AAEWX7E?ocid=spartandhp

ACT leader David Seymour thinks Ardern has made a dangerous call.

“By stopping development at Ihumātao, the Prime Minister has said if you break the law and illegally occupy other people’s private property, the Government won’t punish you – it’ll actually help you.”

  6. In light of the National Party Conference today and Stuffs latest articles on Simon Bridges.
Just give a quick answer as to what you would do if you were National to win the next election.
    Eg Move right
    Move hard right
    Stay where you are.

    0

    0

    • Basically none of the above. It seems that the public are no longer concerned about “policy”. All they want is “something for them”.

For me a full reform of the tax system is way overdue and they could do worse than steal a bit of ACT policy here but we definitely need a reform that allows a seamless removal of WFF.

      0

      0

      • Told a family member we were seriously thinking of voting for Act at the 2020 election. Not impressed!! Seems they are still holding a grudge for Roger Douglas from 1984! It was desperate times with the country heading for bankruptcy if the government had continued along the same economic path and the radical overhaul of the economy was totally necessary. Apparently too much for some to forgive and always will be.

        0

        0

          • Unfortunately a vote for ACT is just another tick for ardern still, that’s democracy for ya 😉

            0

            0

            • Same as a tick for National, because you get Labour policy, Labour refugee imports, Labour removal of gun rights, Labour opposition to free speech by voting National. But under a blue banner. Seems dumb, doesn’t it?

              0

              0

              • You saying it doesn’t make it true and even if it was isn’t labour light better than labour full with a green party socialism thrown in?

                0

                0

                • What is the real difference? Would you really be willing to give up your freedom to vote National? And yes, you will be. Remember what Judith Collins told gun owners. Remember their silence on Southern and Molyneux?

Put your vote where your mouth is and vote for a real change.

                  0

                  0

                  • Sorry but unless ACT has suddenly reached the dizzy heights of 40% a vote for them is a vote to re-elect ardern and that I would not do.

                    0

                    0

    • …..”what you would do if you were National to win the next election”…..

Stop pandering to religious freaks & social conservatives. Trust me…….you have everyone of the know-alls in the bucket…..there’s not a vote left to the Right.

Now start worrying about how to attract about a quarter of a million votes from the centre who are really, really gun shy considering National’s attitude to marijuana & assisted suicide.

Or you could put your collective heads between your legs & kiss your collective arses goodbye. It’s all the same to me. After half a century of supporting National I’m off to ACT.

The current Parliament was elected on Saturday, 23 September 2017. The last possible date for the next general election to be held is Saturday, 21 November 2020.”

  12. Ardern puts stake in the ground for the middle ahead of 2020 election.
    https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/114387965/prime-minister-jacinda-ardern-puts-a-stake-in-the-ground-ahead-of-the-2020-election

“The key battle ground in the next election will be New Zealand’s struggling “middle”, a group Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern admits may be feeling overlooked by her government.

The countdown to the 2020 election is underway and while Ardern is at the height of her powers and Labour looks to be in the box seat, the outcome will swing on whether voters in the middle feel like they are getting a fair go from her government.

And then there is this quote:
In a wide ranging interview with Stuff this week, Ardern admitted even with her global fame, she still suffered from so-called “imposter’ syndrome” – though these days she would give it a different name.
Jacinda Ardern in Australia where 2000 people flocked to hear her speak last week. Even with her global fame, Ardern worries she is not doing enough.

  13. Once the religion has eroded their brains they’re Zombies of the Lord. A 78 yr old Godnutter was recently convicted of intentional damage when he took a chainsaw to the penis of a Māori carving in the name of decency.

…..”Wainwright said he didn’t do it on a whim and he had support from God”……

…..” He tried to cut the 8-centimetre penis off with a handsaw, but it was too difficult, so he returned the next morning with a chainsaw and reduced the penis to sawdust”……

If he were to be judged on his contribution to local aesthetics then he’d deserve a medal. Maori “art” may interest Maori but to this pakeha it is puerile, poorly crafted rubbish. Still I note that many young Maori are convicted of tagging which is no more or less destruction of the property of others.

Instead I’ll limit myself to commenting on the self centred, narrow minded, arrogance the geriatric old fool displayed by his actions.

      • When the press likes you, you’re a “freedom fighter” otherwise you’re a “terrorist”. Obviously, when the press likes you in this case you’re a car enthusiast rather than a boy racer.

This could all have been avoided if the police actually bothered to do their job weeks ago. Instead we have the police acting as the CoL enforcers. The police subservience now seems to be worse than under Helen Clark (and that was bad enough). The police can no longer be considered politically neutral.

I feel for the individual in this, he went about it the wrong way. The problem is the “right way” means dealing with the partisan police who don’t have time for the “little people”. I suspect in this example they only bother to get out of their seats is because someone was acting on their turf, and anyone interfering with their monopoly has to be punished.

    • BAU
The NZ coppies protect trouble makers and criminals but rain down shit on people who show them up to be utterly useless.
      Rinse and repeat.

So, do 106 km /hr on the motorway and you a re a bad person but while you are on that motorway your house gets burgled they don’t give a flying fck.

Good on these people for taking action where the cops were too lazy. I’ll bet they harassed many ordinary drivers at the same time to get their breath test quota. That is common in the Hutt valley and they LIE as to why they stopped you.
I was stopped by a piggy 4 years ago on a Sat eve at 11.50 pm. I was in a rental car on a road I dont drive very often and it started to pour with rain. I slowed to 80 km/hr as I was in no hurry and literally driving to the conditions so his excuse was – oh you slowed down; it was suspicious.

Look at last year when protesters were blocking people driving onto the motorway in Akl – they stood by and did nothing.
The cops are not your friend.
In the 1800s the idea of unions to get better conditions for workers was admirable.
Similar to the creation of police forces in that era.
Roll forward to the 21st century and they have each done an about flip.

  18. An observant woman died one day & found herself waiting
in the long line for judgment. As she stood there, she
noticed that some souls were allowed to march right through
the pearly gates into heaven. Others though, were led over
to Satan, who threw them into the burning pit. But every
so often, instead of hurling a poor soul into the fire,
Satan would toss the soul into a small pile off to one side.

After watching Satan do this several times, the woman’s
curiosity got the best of her. So she strolled over to find
out what the devil he was doing.

“Excuse me, Prince of Darkness,” she said. “I’m waiting
my turn for judgment but I couldn’t help wondering, why
are you tossing those people aside instead of flinging them
into the fires of hell with the others?”
