  2. Rissole’s Proposal for a Presentation at a University in NZ on Indo-Greek Coins and Kharoṣṭhī Script

Indo-Greek coins displaying a very high level of Hellenistic artistry first came to the attention of numismatics in the early nineteenth century, due to the discoveries of an officer of the East India Company, who was an Oriental scholar and collector of antiquities.

At this time, it was known from Classical sources that the Achaemenid Persian Empire control of regions in the North-western Indian subcontinent formally ended around the time of the Macedonian conquest of the Persians by Alexander the Great followed by his invasion of India in 326 BC and that Greek kingdoms or Yavanas (largely forgotten or considered semi-legendary) had lingered on for a period after that.

Although the Persians used cuneiform for monumental public inscriptions, a script called Kharoṣṭhī was used in administrative work. The first coins to bear legends in this script were those of the Indo-Greeks.

    My proposed presentation would cover:

The fascinating history of the discovery of this series.

The origins of the Kharoṣṭhī script and these still-mysterious Greek Kingdoms.

Other topics in the study of the bilingual Indo-Greek series of coins.

  3. So covid gone from the front pages today
apart from this continuing gem way down.

Covid-19: 76,000 AstraZeneca doses will be dumped on April 2
Tens of thousands of Covid-19 vaccines worth more than $800,000 will be dumped by the end of next week as AstraZeneca doses expire, with officials signalling new courses are unlikely to be offered for much longer.

AstraZeneca was made available in late November, for people aged 18 and over who could not have the Pfizer vaccine or who wanted a different option.

But of the 100,000 doses shipped to the country in late November, just 8485 had been used, with 76,000 likely to be disposed of on April 2, the Ministry of Health has said.
    https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/health/coronavirus/128155338/covid19-76000-astrazeneca-doses-will-be-dumped-on-april-2

I wonder what I can sell Ashley that he will pay a high rice for that he will tip into the landfill.
Very green. Now that’s on top of the $8 million worth of measles vax he dumped the other day which should have been given to our children who now face the prospect of severe measles bout.

    The man id basically incompetent.
Yhere was another lot of jabbies that were dumped as well.

That’s what happens when you overrule the people who know about these things.

    • Look at this and the amount of jabs in stock… https://www.health.govt.nz/covid-19-novel-coronavirus/covid-19-data-and-statistics/covid-19-vaccine-data#by_soh

Wtf are they gunna do with 3.8mil doses? Why the hell have they just restocked with 2mil extra doses in march? The jab rate is slowing big time it dosent make sense and i highly doubt 3.8mil are gunna go get a 4th dose for shits and giggles

Of the 12+ group only 3600 jab idiots yesterday and 2.5mil total boosted, hilarious theyve probs got enough in stock for a 4th and 5th shot for those that want it.
At current rate it will take just over 1000 days to administer that amount of jabs!

    • There’s more from the Harold.
Covid 19 Omicron outbreak: Two government agencies review vaccine policies following mandate announcement

Confusion reigns for workers fired from their jobs because of vaccine mandates, while two government agencies that shed dozens of staff are reviewing their Covid guidance and vaccination policies.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced this week that vaccine mandates would no longer be required in education, police and Defence workforces and businesses using vaccine passes from April 4. They would still be required in health and aged care, Corrections and border workforces.

Public Service Commissioner Peter Hughes said the public sector was in a good position because of high vaccination rates and mandates for some agencies.

But he added potentially rehiring workers let go because of vaccine mandates was “a matter for each agency chief executive to consider”.

      https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/covid-19-omicron-outbreak-two-government-agencies-review-vaccine-policies-following-mandate-announcement/KB7NCEXCAV6KQUFGBQFHZ6GXKI/

Employment lawyer Jordan Boyle, from Dyhrberg Drayton, said people who lost their jobs for refusing a vaccine did not have any legal recourse to get their jobs back with many mandates soon to be removed.

“As soon as the employment relationship is terminated, any obligation that the employer has to the employee doesn’t exist,” Boyle said.
However, he explained, it was different for those still working out notice periods.

MSD’s organisational assurance and communication deputy chief executive Melissa Gill said when there was a change or update in the Government’s Covid-19 settings, it looked at all its Covid protocols and guidance, including the vaccination policy.

“It’s important to note that the Government’s decisions relate to Vaccination Orders under the Covid-19 Public Health Response Act. Our policy has a different legislative basis, and is based on a health and safety risk assessment under the Health and Safety at Work Act.”

Gill had earlier told the Herald that final decisions would be made around the employment of the 220 unvaccinated staff – but not all would result in termination.

Oranga Tamariki also has an internal policy

      – separate from the Government mandate – that all staff are vaccinated by March 1.

Deputy lead for Covid co-ordination and support Bill Searle said the agency’s risk assessment and vaccination policy was under review.

“The Government’s decision to remove some mandates will be considered as part of that review. Implications for kaimahi in employment processes as a result of a mandate will be considered on a case-by-case basis.”

Why would anyone go back and work for the cunts that didn’t support them nor anyone else?
Why would you be so stupid?

      • The God’s of MedsafeNZ do little to explain the changes done last year.

Fluad Quad – a newly funded influenza vaccine for people aged 65 years and older ……
…… approved to immunise people aged 65 years and older against influenza. …..
…. Fluad Quad in people aged under 65 years is unapproved and can only be administered or prescribed by a medical practitioner.
Unapproved use of medicines requires informed consent from the patient. ……

…. The adjuvant, MF59, improves the immune response to the vaccine. ….
        https://www.medsafe.govt.nz/safety/Alerts/FluadQuad.asp

Nor do the Doctors or nurses know about the change in adjuvant, putting up there on steriods, and to then be more careful & consider other aspects of what this can do, particularly when blithely saying that it was ok on the same day to have the shingle shot.
It was more of a building up serious problems over a week, that I stopped my usual meds, so I could really dose up on nurofen, panadol, aspirin etc.. before it the effects slowly dissipated over another week.
A month later I questioned the Doctor,
Nor would the Doctor accept that I had an adverse effect, though I have come right.
I do not believe I came back totally to my previous good condition of normal for a number of months.

National Party leader Christopher Luxon has unwittingly met an anti-vaccine, anti-mandate business owner heavily involved in the Parliament occupation which disrupted capital life for weeks and put eight police officers in hospital.

Lance Goodman is a joint director of Goodman Contractors, a family-operated civil engineering contracting company with about 250 staff involved in major Government infrastructure projects, who said he camped at the occupation, where he had four trucks, and was involved in food preparation.

        • It should be.

It should be officially recognized and certified document laying out the individual’s iwi affiliations.

A separate issue is whether an individual can claim affiliation to multiple iwi.
From the Japanese perspective of only serving one master, I would suggest that an individual can only belong to one iwi (either through birth or through marriage).

If you were a member of multiple iwi, you could claim a portion of taxpayers’ money doled out to each iwi, which doesn’t seem right.

After a child is born, the parents would have a finite amount of time to submit to the government their “whakapapa certification” so that the child could be registered with one iwi. Failure to do so would mean the child could not be considered to be a registered iwi member in the eyes of the State or government departments (ever).

It has been used, twisted to reframe some obscene narrative in seeking controlling power.

Not quite into defining “principles” but these seem to a good start.

        Granting British Citizenship.
equality before the law and democratic, representative government.

Article Two, does it really fit?
It is rendered irrelevant by the other “principles” which together mean that Maori automatically have the same property rights as any other citizen, no matter when or from whence they came here.

Really who has the “standing” to make the definitions?

Will it become like “full & final settlement” that becomes another round of an upgrade that in some instances has been recycled 5 times, and also settled with ones who had refused sign up to said Treaty.

Then what principles are in ACT, for “Freedom” “Choice” all not coming out so good with the alignment to vaccine passes, mandates, and children’s vaccinations.

What principles goes for National, and falling totally into line with Gun buy back, vaxxes, mandatory. Carbon costs, etc..

COVID-19: Michael Wood pushes back on claim Govt not giving businesses advice about revised mandate rules in tense interview.

The Workplace Relations and Safety Minister is pushing back on claims the Government hasn’t provided advice to businesses about the revised COVID-19 mandate rules, saying official guidance is available online.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern on Wednesday announced the Government’s plan to loosen COVID regulations including removing vaccine mandates for several industries.

Vaccine passes will be optional for businesses from early next month and immunisation mandates are being rolled back to just a few industries including health, aged care, border and Corrections workers.

But businesses are confused about what this means for them with COVID-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins even telling them to lawyer up before making any decisions.

  21. WHAT PRICE GREEN ALUMINIUM?
ANZ analysts are noting that the supply-issues for global aluminium are putting the remaining producers in a prime position – if they have the electricity supply. Although Russian aluminium itself is not sanctioned, their access to both electricity and bauxite is badly affected. As a result, aluminium buyers are scrambling to secure supply amid low global inventories and strong demand. The upside pressure on prices is likely to remain for the foreseeable future, they say. Does New Zealand benefit from this – or just NZAS?

    • Green Aluminum?

In my translation work, I have come across many different colors for hydrogen. Like a rainbow flag!

      – Grey hydrogen: Hydrogen generated from natural gas, or methane, through a process called “steam reforming”
      – Yellow hydrogen: Hydrogen generated through electrolysis using solar power.
      – Green hydrogen: Hydrogen produced from electrolysis powered by renewable electricity.
      – Pink hydrogen: Hydrogen generated through electrolysis powered by nuclear energy. (Also known as red or purple hydrogen.)
      – Blue hydrogen: Hydrogen generated like grey hydrogen (through steam reforming), but the CO2 is captured and stored underground through industrial carbon capture and storage (CSS).

  22. Covid 19 Omicron: Defence, police vaccine mandates – Government appeals High Court decision
    25 Mar, 2022 06:02 PM

The Government has filed an appeal against a High Court decision that determined vaccine mandates imposed on the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) and police were an unjustified incursion on the Bill of Rights.

Crown Law and the Court of Appeal confirmed to the Herald this afternoon that an appeal has been filed.

“The Government has filed an appeal relating to the Yardley judgment on points of law,” a Crown Law spokesperson said.

“The appeal is in no way an attempt to reverse the removal of mandates on the workforces covered by the Yardley decision and there is no intention to reinstate those mandates on those workforces.”

  23. Winston Peters@winstonpeters

The insidious creep of the racist, separatist, secretive co-governance agenda must be stopped now – we simply cannot wait for a referendum in four years’ time.

The only future for New Zealand is one of unity, one law for all, under one flag. Any dilution or delay of that fundamental democratic foundation will be disastrous for our nation.

We do not need to have a referendum to tell us we live in a race-based separatist society, any more than we need to check the weather forecast when it’s already raining. The only real referendum on this decisive issue is the 2023 election – anything else will be far too late.

  24. He is right.
I believe things are so serious now and we will see in the next 12 months a huge push of legislation that will be the death knell of NZ.
The Government have no mandate to introduce race based laws which will cement in an apartheid system and we need an election now.

  25. Germany Urges Emergency Energy Plan

Germany’s Association of Energy and Water Industries (BDEW) has called for a Europe-wide emergency response to Moscow’s demands for “unfriendly nations” to pay for oil in rubles.

President Putin claimed his move was based on confidence in currencies of Western nations being destroyed after their illegitimate decisions to freeze Russian assets.
