  5. I just found out Cat Pause has died. She was the fat studies academic who managed to make a living out of being incredibly obese. At least she practiced what she preached. My thoughts go out to takeaway outlets in her area as they struggle to carry on in the vacuum she has left behind. At least we won’t have to pay her for being an academic charlatan anymore.

    In about January 1863 George Grey addressed the Maori people at Ngaruawahia. He told them that the governing forces would not attack the Maori King movement. Instead, they would dig all around the Maori King movement and then the Movement would fall in on itself. The Maori stood tall at Rangiriri just ten months later and have been lauded for that effort ever since.
    About eight months ago Putin said that it was unacceptable that NATO forces were surrounding Russia and, if forced to, Russia would take steps to protect itself. Russia would not allow itself to fall in on itself.
    I believe that if The Donald had been in power instead of “the Alzheimers’ One”, being the dealmaker that Trump is, Trump would have told Putin that Ukraine will never ever be part of NATO and the world would continue on its way. American exporters would continue to have good sales in Ukraine; the Russians would make good money exporting their gas; the world would go on, BUT Ukraine would never ever be part of NATO.

    Auckland Mayor and former Labour leader Phil Goff will become New Zealand’s next High Commissioner to the UK when he finishes his term.

    The appointment may not be officially signed off by Cabinet until much closer to the announcement, and therefore denied, but an agreement has been reached, the Herald understands.

    The local body elections don’t take place until October and so Goff is unlikely to begin the new role until next year.

    • That must be me, I had lunch at a special venue on Friday fabulous service etc, lovely people, one jabbed person there, but they had all had covid I was the only one who has not, I was by far the eldest person there by 10 years at least and have not swiped in anywhere, not cleansed the trolly at the supermarket or done any of the things I have been told to. If you leave the immune system alone, take the vitamins as suggested by doctors who have been banned I think you would be fine.

  17. Government starting plan to implement the UNDRIP, with a focus on self-determination..

    Officials are ready to begin drafting plans about how the Government can honour its obligations under the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People (UNDRIP).

    Next week, Cabinet’s Te Arawhiti​ Māori-Crown relations subcommittee will receive an update on discussions between Te Puni Kōkiri, The Human Rights Commission and the National Iwi Chairs Forum about implementing the UNDRIP.

    The update was scheduled to inform the Cabinet committee that officials were ready to begin drafting a plan for how to implement the declaration.

    Taylor Hawkins, for 25 years the drummer for Foo Fighters and best friend of frontman Dave Grohl, has died during a South American tour with the rock band. He was 50.

    There were few immediate details on how Hawkins died, although the band said in a statement Friday that his death was a “tragic and untimely loss.”

    Foo Fighters had been scheduled to play at a festival in Bogota, Colombia, on Friday night. Hawkins’ final concert was Sunday at another festival in San Isidro, Argentina.

    “His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever,” said a message on the band’s official Twitter account that was also emailed to reporters. “Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family.”

    The Bogota municipal government issued a statement on Saturday that the city’s emergency centre had received a report of a patient with “chest pain” and sent an ambulance, though a private ambulance had already arrived at the hotel in northern Bogota.

    Health workers tried to revive him, but were unable to do so. It said the cause of death was under investigation.

    Earlier, Colombian Police issued a statement about what they believe killed Hawkins, speculating that drugs may have been involved.

    “According to those close to him, the death could be related to the consumption of drugs.”

Take their photos, and splatter them over the front of the local rag under the heading THIEVES. Confiscate their diesel vehicles, and sell them to pay for the diesel. FS what’s happened to law and order in this country? Every arsehole seems to be able to do whatever takes their fancy, with impunity.       Has all the data been released in full, so it can be “peer reviewed” even if that is possible?
      Can that form of trial be replicated, that is to prove this theory.

        • We haven’t had the country open to random overseas visitors for 2 years.

          Viruses are not known for long distance un-powered flight, especially not when continuously irradiated by solar energy, ozone, and air currents that would cause it to hit the water. And you can count on one hand the number of world wide Covid cases caught at the beach. Something Hipkins has admitted, saying that you are very unlikely to catch Covid playing rugby, which is why you don’t need a mask then, but a much higher chance catching from same rugby players catching up after match. Worse still, Hipkins has admitted that staying inside at home is the worst possible breeding ground for Covid.

          This is something that many NZ medical experts knew a long time ago, simply reading the stats, but were ignored by Bloomfields / Hipkins. The lockdown strategy should have been: “Carry on as normal, but ensure you spend time at the beach, and whatever you do, don’t lock yourself in your home, get out in the fresh air.”

          However it didn’t suit the agenda at the time. Either that or the govt is in a time warp where the information they get is 2 years old. I don’t believe the latter is occurring otherwise Mallard would be not be turning on the sprinklers until 2024. Therefore the latter is true, and the govt manipulates “the truth” to suit their communist dictatorship agenda.

          So, having established that Omicron flying here by itself is impossible;
          Either Omicron / Flu 2022 was transported into NZ through a Stargate / Federation transporter / Asgard beaming technology.

          Or it came out of a vaccine syringe, an imported bio weapon vial, or imported by Jimmy Shaw / DJs / traveling MPs.

          I think that the former is into the tin foil hat territory, so the obvious answer, no matter how unlikely, is that it came here through the latter i.e. DJs / MPs Jimmy Shaw.

        That will help in figuring my risks.
        Possibly I may be able to advoid the adjuvants that are designated for the older people who are not told about that.
        Then to make the choice, and demand the ordinary flu vacc if a flue vaxx should be considered.
        The medical autocracy tries to remove “choice”, just as Ardern says people have the “choice” in loosing their jobs, and even homes..

        Doctors do not look behind, or not have the time, to delve in what the real problems are, & how they related to their patient.
        The seem to glibly push the governmental autocracy line.

        It was last season’s flue jab that with my bodily reaction, and the Dr.’s response of “no possible connection”.
        That made me do research, and then find what the Doctor never told me, and that is despite me raising issues to consider prior to the jab that some aggravation may occur.

        So now I am fully “hesitant” in many medical things, despite having the experience of placing my life in their hands for months, in the past 5 years.
        It is difficult to place a finger on it, but in parts, some Doctors & staff, though not all, seemed to have become systemically more imperious.

    • She did the same with the Canterbury floods which occurred because ECAN hadn’t done in 20 years what they were charging farmers annually for in levies and rates – river maintenance. Maintenance that would have prevented the rivers breaching their banks.

    A bizarre craze seems to be sweeping New Zealand right now. All things derived from Europe except our creature comforts must be set aside as we are expected to embrace all things Maori. It’s racism on a grand scale.
    No longer do our television stations refer to New Zealand. In fact, we are lucky if its Aotearoa-New Zealand. No reference to the fact that, as Michael King shows, Maori didn’t have a name for these lands, and only came to accept “Aotearoa” in relatively recent times. Several newspapers are falling into line and are now calling our country Aotearoa, a name unknown to most people beyond our shores. No public debate. We are expected to acquiesce.
    The name “New Zealand” which dates back to Abel Tasman’s visit in 1642 came more into early use and is the name by which our land has always been recognized abroad. It won’t be long before the woke who are driving all this insist on officially changing our country’s name. Instead of being proud New Zealanders, we’ll be expected to call ourselves Aotearoaians. They’ll try to avoid a referendum lest it results in rejection like occurred with changing the flag. Just impose it (they say)! The woke have no respect for democracy.
    Government departments and public institutions are being renamed at such a rapid rate that it isn’t clear what the names refer to. Waka Kotahi for Transport? Why? Since all forms of transport except the canoe were unknown to Maori, and were imported from overseas, why a Maori name? Where did Waka Kotahi come from? Waka, yes. But Kotahi? It doesn’t appear in the revered Bruce Biggs’ Maori dictionary. Waka Kotahi wasn’t a term used by Maori before settlers arrived in the 1840s and 1850s.
    There are other institutions with self-bestowed Maori names that are unrecognizable to ordinary Kiwis.
    Radio New Zealand, too, has been working full time. They are deleting the words both “radio” and “New Zealand” from everyday use. Nowadays it’s “Te Irirangi o Aotearoa” or “RNZ”. Don’t mention dreaded English terms! Some Radio New Zealand reporters fall over themselves trying to conform to a ruling from on high that they should introduce themselves in Te Reo, despite the fact that the concept of radio came from overseas, and was absolutely unknown to Maori.
    We have also been told recently that all streets in New Zealand are to be given a Maori name. Wow. That will be an expensive exercise! Who will dream up the new names? The Maori Language Commission that seems to be churning out new words at 200 kph?
    And since Maori were very thin on the ground in the Auckland area in 1840 and were soon rapidly outnumbered by settlers, it won’t be appropriate either. A relevant fact provided to members of the Waitangi Tribunal during the Kaipara case I heard was that in 1840 there were only 800 Maori living on the million acres of land between the Kaipara and East Tamaki. That fact will be conveniently overlooked.
    Nothing is sufficiently disrespectful for Pakeha whose street names quite often have family or historical significance to them.
    Similar examples of cultural cringe are showing up with the move to teach New Zealand history in our schools. Scratch the surface and it becomes clear that those driving the idea want to downplay the huge significance of the arrival of European culture in New Zealand. Rather, they intend to replace it with only partially accurate accounts of the difficulties Maori faced when brought into contact with a more developed culture.
    Recently, I sought from the Ministry of Education details about who was designing the curriculum. Back came the names of a couple of black arm band school teachers and a collection of Maori radicals. There were a couple of academics, both Maori. No serious Pakeha historian in sight.
    We can say with certainty that a skewed version of New Zealand history will be devised, one that leaves out things like the Musket Wars where Maori did irreparable harm to their own economy and society. Instead, there will be much concentration on “evil” colonial land purchasers and settler governments, and excessive Maori land confiscations at the end of the wars of the 1860s. About the last of these, of course students must be told.
    The confiscations came on top of the damage that Maori had already done to themselves and helped further depress the Maori economy and damage Maori society. But what is taught to modern students should not exclude everything that reflects badly on Maori themselves.
    Moreover, kids need to know that up to 50% of Maori in the country in the 1860s sided with the Crown. And they need to be told why. The term “Kupapa Maori” to describe those Maori is regarded by modern Maori as equivalent to being called an “Uncle Tom”. But it was respected in earlier times.
    And if one needs any more evidence that cultural cringe has reached massive proportions in Auckland, have a look at the programme for the Auckland Arts Festival between 4-21 March 2021. Its Maori name, Te Ahurei Toi O Tamaki, takes precedence on the front cover.
    Remember, that in Auckland, Maori are only 11.5% of the total population. Pacific Islanders are 13% of Auckland’s population and Asians constitute more than 25%, according to the latest census.
    People of European ethnicity make up more than 50% of Auckland’s population, but in the eyes of the organisers of the festival they don’t count. The programme includes “kapa haka, Maori artists, waiata sing alongs and korero [that] will bring the taonga that is te reo front and centre for audiences”. Really?
    In a city where almost 90% of people are not of Maori ethnicity? Why hasn’t Auckland City, Creative New Zealand, Foundation North and a collection of worthy sponsors spared a thought for the overwhelming majority of Auckland citizens and ratepayers? Where is the “equity” in this festival?
    Answer: too much power has been allowed to slip into the hands of crusaders who for too long seem to have been able to commandeer the resources of others for their own political ends.
    When, or will, Aucklanders, and New Zealanders as a whole, stop cringing and wake up to what is being done to their culture and largely with their money?”

    Black Box Voting released a video on Oct. 31 that exposes the code found in the GEMS machines, which count votes in elections for a quarter of the United States. Investigators showed video evidence of tabulation computers being tampered with in U.S. elections.

    • Thanks Viking. Never been keen on connecting elections to computers, and just more reason to kill that very concept. The stakes are too high, and computerization seems too difficult to be audited, to be held to account.

    Have to say I am really impressed with him.
    Was interesting the response he had when he launched his party .Huge number of emails .
    He replied to mine !
    There is obviously a lot going on behind the scenes and the smaller parties seem to realise they need to get together somehow to fight for the future. I listened to Leighton Baker earlier and he is making the same noise.
    I think he has a good chance of getting the Northland seat .That would be a big win ,
    At this stage I sense that this may be the party to make a difference next election.
