  1. It is good to see at least one Political Reporter is actually questioning this Government, Ardern and her useless, self important Ministers like Poto Williams. I hope the public read it and those who do not see yet, start to look and question themselves as to what Ardern and this Government are doing to this country and the abuse of the power that has been given to them.

Barry Soper is the only worthwhile Political Journalist left in New Zealand.

    • I think plaudits should also go to Michael Morrah who has been at the forefront of questioning the govt on covid issues, lack of planning, quarantine failures etc. Only out of action over the last month due to actually being ill himself, but never backward in asking an awkward question.
If he and Barry could tag team at a Cindy Stand-up that would be worth tuning in for.

  2. So, the Government, Goff and National are unhappy that Team New Zealand have shuffled off to Spain for the next America’s Cup.

The fat poof who is Minister of Sport who can claim the only balls he has ever played with are his own and someone called Alf’s, other than that and the odd game of Couch Rugby he has never indulged in any sport, says the Government has done all they can.

The stupid bint from National, Nicola Willis agrees with the Government and the fat poof.

But none of them have questioned or raised the white anting that MBIE did to cause TNZ to move the America’s Cup to Barcelona.

If what Peter Montgomery says is true, then MBIE should needs to be severely questioned or Montgomery if incorrect needs the arse sued off him by MBIE.

My bet is with these allegations, Montgomery will never see a lawyers letter or a minute before a Judge on Slander charges.

    • IMO fark tnz and fark the rich pricks with their flying boats.

I loathe any taxpayer money being spent on sport of any kind, and then i absolutely hate the fake sayings the teams/players use “im doing this for my country” nah youre not youre there for you and no one else.

Back when it was reasonable level of funding needed i could stomach it but now americas cup involves hundreds of millions in handouts which is just not worth it.
Peter montgomery throws figures around from 2000, why dosent he use the nz benefit from the last AC? … Because it was a terrible loss making excercise.

Defunding this shit is likely one of the few things this govt has got right. Sadly the money will still get blown on something equally or more useless… more cuzi bro cindybux i guess

      • The only counter argument is that if we host the cup the Billionaires bring their super yachts here. Evidently that can raise significant coin in maintenance and repairs for the local ship yards. Also the tourists that follow this tend to be wealthy so they spend up a bit while here. Like all things opportunity cost has to be determined. But then we waste 15 mil telling us that we need to get the road toll to zero, that;s as realistic as offering 15 mil to find an intelligent Labour supporter or a pink Unicorn ( with wings).

      • I do recall, without reference, that the NZ Government refused to allow many/most of these billionaires boats to land in New Zealand without going through MIQ even though they had been at sea by without other contact for a lengthy period of time. They didn’t bother to come.

                • The good thing about the cruising boats is they spend money everywhere. They had a huge 3 masted thing up at Oceania Marine a while back (they have a massive slipway and travel lift) It’s masts were so high they had to stop flights at Onerahi airport. That was really cool to look at and I would imagine it put a fair chunk into the economy.

  3. Kiwi troops have been ordered not to attend public Anzac Day commemorations to reduce the risk of spreading Covid-19, Stuff can reveal.

    Really.

The directive, from Defence Force chief Air Marshal Kevin Short, told enlisted personnel and officers across the uniformed services not to attend public Anzac Day services.

Instead, they were asked to attend the April 25 commemorations on Defence Force bases and camps.

A Defence Force spokeswoman said the idea was to stop the spread of Covid-19 from young fit personnel who may have minor or no symptoms to older veterans.

  4. TAH, unfuckingbelievable, our system and Country is in the midst of a downward death spiral so it’s gonna come down to “fuck everybody else just look out for yourself and family”, such a fucking disgrace .
My wife has been in severe pain for nearly a year, she needs a hip because of an injury when she was younger.
Yesterday she was told (after being on the urgent list for 5 months) that it will be at least another 4 months, so we are just going to have to dip into retirement savings $35,000 /$40,000 and get it done privately, she’s a qualified nurse who loves her work but has been unable to work because of her condition.
Thanks so much Ardern you filthy communist cunt.

    • Sorry to hear revvy, thats gutting to hear. I commented on here a year or so similar complaint as i watched my best mates father and wifes grandma languish at home in need of new joints.
Litterally both were so bad they were confined to the couch almost 24/7, her grandma gave up after 18mnths (hip) and just funded it with the little savings she had. Mates father was off work over 2yrs and couldnt even walk to mailbox (knee), he finally got a new knee sept last year and since december has been back working 50hr weeks.

Its cruel wayching people go through it, it was a bit of delay pre covid and then cindys lockdowns added over a year to the wait lists as hospitals struggled to play catchup.

90% of your wifes miserable wait can be attributed to one cnut!

          • The downside of an aging population (due to fewer workers and more retirees) is that there are many more elderly. Moreover, the elderly tend to live beyond (to put it crudely, their “use by” date) thanks to better medical care, so that they survive into the years at which their bodies start to break down.
This means a large number of elderly needing expensive surgery to extend their lives by a few more years (and give them more comfort) and a fewer number of taxpayers to foot the bill.
Hopefully, as these elderly die off, the ratio of worker:senior citizen will swing back to a more favorable one, but on the other hand, if people have fewer children, then the ratio will continue.
Will the State simply print more money to pay for this medical care? Will euthanasia be freely offered? Will there be a social media campaign to promote the acceptance of euthanasia?

As for myself, I’m making sure that I do all the things I want to do before my health inevitably starts to decline.

Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today!

    • RevT, due to my wife having Polycystic Kidneys and with almost zero Kidney function my beautiful wife is on Dialysis. Under the conditions currently in this country, it is almost impossible for her to get on the Kidney Transplant List as the Hospitals are just not operating in a way to get her prepped and able to pass the tests to even work towards getting on the Transplant List. It has been like this for coming up 3 years.

So, I fully understand the situation you and you wife find yourselves in and empathise with you, for we too are possibly having to look at your scenario and maybe go down that same route.

Ardern and her Government have done nothing to improve this country or better the life of the majority of New Zealanders.

And Revtech, the Health System in this country is only going to get worse when Ardern and her Government introduce a separate Maori Health System which will have the power of Veto over the rest of the Health System. The Health Practitioners and Professionals I regularly get to speak too in the Hospital my wife seems to be constantly at, are in absolute despair as to what is going to happen, once there the new Health System is installed and a Maori power of Veto is implemented.

Stay strong my friend, you are not alone.

      • TAH….
Really sad to read of your Good Lady’s problems and hope things work out fast for her. My GL had a very rare kidney bleeding disorder that caused her to be hospitalised for 6 weeks in 2000. She came under the nurses mandate so searched all the MOH/Medsafe advice on taking the Pfizer shot with her underlying condition. (This was before the USA Pfizer Adverse Events Reports had become public.) Zero information on this from our caring government.

For your wife’s interest, when I queried this total lack of information with MOH, this was their response…bearing in mind that it has been known for some time that the contents of the rMNA injection ends up in the kidney in as little as 6 hours after the shot…

“Kidney Health New Zealand supports the COVID-19 vaccine for New Zealanders living with kidney disease and recommends they discuss their personal circumstances with their treating doctor, who can also seek advice from the Immunisation Advisory Centre at the University of Auckland. There is more information on Kidney New Zealand’s website at: http://www.kidney.health.nz/Covid19/ whilst clinical inquires to IMAC can be made by calling 0800 466 863.
Should your wife not want to use the Pfizer Comirnaty vaccine, she could choose the
AstraZeneca vaccine. Additionally, Medsafe has recently approved the use of the Novavax
vaccine in New Zealand although the Government has yet to decide on its use as a part of New
        Zealand’s COVID-19 vaccination programme.
Worldwide, kidney injury and renal failure are not known side-effects of the Pfizer Comirnaty
vaccine. Of the more than 172,000 adverse events following immunisation (AEFI) reported to the
Centre for Adverse Reactions Monitoring (CARM) at the University of Otago, and more than 4
million people being vaccinated in New Zealand, there have only been seven reports of nephrotic
syndrome following immunisation. An excel spreadsheet of all AEFI reported to CARM is
published by Medsafe in its regular safety reports under Latest listing of all cases received at:
        http://www.medsafe.govt.nz/COVID-19/safety-report-39.asp#more.
However, people living with chronic kidney disease are at greater risk of serious illness should
they become infected, as outlined in section 5.2.3 of the Immunisation Handbook:
        http://www.health.govt.nz/our-work/immunisation-handbook-2020/5-coronavirus-disease-covid-19#23-
        2. It is for this reason that Kidney New Zealand supports COVID-19 vaccination to protect those
        living with kidney disease.”

MOH advice on kidney/renal damage-failure not being a side-effect is completely contradicted by the Pfizer adverse events data that they were in possession of.

        • Toko, I seem to have had a bit of a run in with the Chief Quack at the Renal Unit at the Hospital where my wife regularly visits. About a year ago we were discussing my wife getting on the Kidney Transplant List.

The Head Quack insisted she get double pricked for the Kungflu before he would even consider any progress towards her getting on the said Kidney Transplant List. When we questioned him both on the ethics of this demand and why it is necessary for her to take an experimental medication as per what the MOH Website outlined, the Head Quack got very pissed off with us and stated as far as he was concerned, getting double pricked was a bottom line to get on the Transplant List.

She has done this and is still not on the Transplant List due to all the hoops that we are waiting to be completed by the local DHB.

          Life is interesting.

    • It is a roll of shame to be hung on the vicious kindness of Ardern.

I recall waiting for nigh on 3 years of the latter part of Helen Clarke’s government.
Supposed “elected surgery” but handicapped, which was leading to “incapacitation”.

Came November 2008 election, and amazingly quickly after, in December I started to get movement in the system.
Even though I ended up twice, doing the required ‘NIL By Mouth’, and admitted to hospital, but then postponed.
At least I could see I was active in the “to be done” line. 3rd time lucky and it was done.

That Health Minister Tony Ryall; made the Hospitals be accountable, and to get things done.
He should be our Director General of the the Ministry of Health!

Booster shots for under 18s. 💉💉💉

The ‘Best Practice’ guidelines from the Immunisation Advisory Centre for NZ youth are out and we find them curious. 🤔

Why? Because they describe the process for families to access the unapproved and off-label use of this experimental product. 🤷🏽‍♀️

We believe it is important that people are free to make their own informed choices and as such would LOVE to see similar attention given to the suite of therapeutics (some also off-label) available to help vulnerable people to navigate certain illnesses. 🤗

We can promote improperly tested and unsafe gene therapies, but we can’t even speak about Nobel Prize-winning options with proven safety profiles. 🙈🙉🙊

Something is wrong with this picture. 🖼

You know you have a broken system when you’re prevented from even discussing the options… 🤐

Where do all the people go when/if the tourists return?

Or is that 400mil a year enough to make hotel owners go stuff the tourists and keep the benes to earn a crust?

      • New consents running at 50,000 houses a year currently.
No builders, no supplies or limited.
        Something is going to give.

Meanwhile Gib report they are running 24/7 and producing enough gib for 50k houses a year but you still can’t buy the stuff.
50k houses amount to around 150,000 people.
and that’s without all those that were built last year, around 40k.
Most built in the wrong places. Most unaffordable to the hotel occupants without the govt. subsidizing them.
They are crying out for Kiwifruit pickers. No housing down that way but we are building mainstreet town houses like there is no tomorrow. Miles from the jobs,
But as usual the govt and the councils all know best. Devoid of logic. Hurts to pay the useless twats.

        • Viking, weve had a group of builders in at work last few days. They were saying theyve got 3 new builds on the go but all at a standstill due to gib shortage… winestone? Or whoever the gib outfit is arent even taking any orders until july! Zero zilch nada just so they can fulfil current orders, so wtf will happen in july when thousands of builders and construction outfits place mega orders for current builds and also a bit of panic buy/ stock up by ordering heaps extra for future builds to avoid delay.

They got a room on the 18th floor, there were signs all over the place saying’Uber Eats only past this point’. It cost in excess of $240 a night. The next day when they were at the car sales place the salesperson asked them how they found it and told them it was a hotel that is full of homeless people. 1) how is the government paying this excessive amount to home the so called homeless? and 2) how the hell can they if they are homeless afford to get Uber eats? Nothing adds up here with this mad lot. Someone sometime will have to pay for this excessive spending. FF FJA

☣️ The Russian Defence Ministry continues to study documents received from employees of Ukrainian laboratories about secret military biological activities of the United States in Ukraine.

▫️A study of the new material by Russian experts of the Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Protection Troops identified specific officials who had been involved in the creation of the biological weapons components.

▫️These are the heads of units and staff of the US Department of Defense, as well as its main contracting companies. As the ongoing journalistic investigations in the Western press show, these campaigns were directly linked to the son of the current US president, Hunter Biden.

▫️As a result of the special military operation, research in a number of Ukrainian bio-laboratories, where work with strains of particularly dangerous pathogens was being carried out on behalf of the Pentagon, has been stopped.

▫️A number of documents obtained from these laboratories, however, reveal the concealment of the test subjects’ identities and the serious risk to their lives.

▫️Of particular interest are documents indicating the Kiev regime’s plans to use drones capable of carrying and dispersing lethal substances.

▫️The revealed facts prove that the Kiev regime was seriously considering the use of biological weapons against the population of Donbass, and the Russian Federation.

❗️We will provide more details on the results of the analysis of the documents received and the facts revealed at a special briefing in the near future.

  8. Upon Arriving Home, A Husband Was Met At The Door By His Sobbing Wife Tearfully she explained, “It’s the pharmacist. He insulted me terribly this morning on the phone.”

Immediately the husband drove downtown to confront the pharmacist and demand an apology. Before he could say more than a few words, the druggist told him,

“Now, just a minute, please listen to my side of it… This morning the alarm failed to go off, so I was late getting up. I went without breakfast and hurried out to the car, just to realize that I locked the house with both house and car keys inside. I had to break a window to get my keys. Then, driving a little too fast, I got a speeding ticket. Later, about three blocks from the store, I had a flat tire. When I got to the store there was a bunch of people waiting for me to open up. I opened and started waiting on these people, and all the time the darn phone was ringing off the hook.”

He continued, “Then I had to break a roll of coins against the cash register drawer to make change, and they spilled all over the floor. I got down on my hands and knees to pick up the coins; the phone was still ringing. When I came up I cracked my head on the open cash drawer, which made me stagger back against a showcase with bunch of perfume bottles on it…all of them hit the floor and broke. Meanwhile, the phone is still ringing with no let up, and I finally got to answer it.

It was your wife. She wanted to know how to use a rectal thermometer…and, honest mister, all I did was tell her!

      • Visiting primary schools and kindergartens is where the Mad Queen is most comfortable at,
and is the reason that she does it.
If she had a choice of speaking to group of children or a group of disagreeing adults, she will take the children every time, as that is where her level of competence is at.

She reminds me of a story that a friend told me years ago when he was a radio operator and dispatcher in a very busy Police control room. On this particular night a number of calls came in around the same time of a rape, numerous fights, two armed robberies and to top it off, a homicide. During the mayhem of directing cars and finding staff to attend to these various jobs, my mate’s operations inspector called him aside and told him that he thought he should get a haircut.

    • Co Governance when being pushed to referendum should include “Parliamentary Maori Seats”.
Many times been “going going”;— but this time put it for them to be “GONE”! ! !
Not to be in place at the very next election ! ! !

  12. Ardern killing off democracy. This is not how we treat people protesting on our NZ parliament grounds.

Man arrested on Parliament grounds just hours after fences installed
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2022/03/man-arrested-on-parliament-grounds-just-hours-after-fences-installed.html

Footage shared to a chat on social media app Telegram shows a group of six police officers running toward the man before arresting him.

“Nothing like creating a scene when we weren’t doing anything,” the man recording the ordeal says.

While the man was handcuffed and escorted off the forecourt of Parliament he said, “I’m happy to do this” to several supporters also recording the arrest.

The group chanted, “Shame, shame, shame, shame!” as the man was taken away.

    • From BN’s link:

……”The most obvious failure is that the mass media’s journalists and editors too often seem to not understand they need to reflect the important debates that are actually happening in society — including on social media — rather than only the ones they approve of. Or if they do cover contentious issues, not to present only one, approved side of the debate.”……

Graham Adam’s exposé is pertinent yet probably too late. The NZ media are in a tailspin as the result of years of woke & biased attempts at social engineering.

  13. From Nicole McKee:

“I was alarmed to hear that the Chief of Defence Force has ordered enlisted defence personnel to not attend public ANZAC Day commemorations. I believe this is offensive to our veterans and I immediately issued a press release calling on the Ministers of Defence and Veterans’ Affairs to ask the Chief of the Defence Force to explain his reasoning.
ANZAC Day is a special time of the year where we commemorate those that fought for us to live in a free and democratic society, and show support for those currently serving.
I understand the concerns of NZDF for our elderly and vulnerable, but they could easily be mitigated by NZDF. After all – they’ve been practicing that at MIQ facilities for the past two years.
Personnel could take a RAT test before attending and practice distancing at the events while still being there to show their respect. Mandates are being eased, 96 per cent of the population is vaccinated and all of the defence force is vaccinated – they were mandated to do so. If they can’t attend the commemorations, what was the point?
This is a hugely important day for our veterans and all New Zealanders.
I believe our defence personnel want to pay their respects and I believe they should be able to. I hope that the Government can see sense and allow our defence personnel to attend commemorations and show their respects. Lest we forget.

    • Saggy, it seems with the attitude of the Defence Chiefs our Military would be absolutely buggered if they were sent off to the Trenches like my old man. Crete, North Africa, Guadalcanal, Vella Lavella and Green Island where my old man was obviously for this bunch of soft cocks who run our Military is not worth remembering.

I have nothing but contempt for the Chief of Defence and I wonder what influence Ardern may have had in this decision.

…. [Auditor General] Ryan also said he was concerned there was little evidence of why ministers ignored officials’ advice to stop the fund or limit it to just a few businesses.

“Without those records, those who have made the decisions are not able to adequately explain why funding was provided. In my view, this is not acceptable practice, regardless of the circumstances,” Ryan said. …..

….. He urged the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment to formally review STAPP against its goals. …..

I figure that MBIE was set up to be under the auspices to quietly follow other agendas.
Like in how it was the agency for sorting then buying vaccines.
It seems that it can bully other departments, overtake them and runs according to its own unprincipled ways.
The Labour government seem to much prefer to give MBIE much over sight so as to allow a minimal of responsibility & accountability.

  16. One of the 13 defendants accused of health and safety breaches in the lead up to the deadly Whakaari eruption has pleaded guilty and been ordered to pay more than a quarter of a million dollars.

Inflite, a scenic flight operator based in Auckland, changed its plea to guilty today.

Judge Evangelos Thomas fined the company $227,500 and ordered it to pay prosecution costs of $40,000.

There were 47 people on the volcano when it erupted in December 2019, most of them international tourists.

Twenty-two people were killed and many others were seriously injured.
