  1. Its been a while since a good bush campout and ya forget all the lil quirks of the bush 🙂
Mr possum came for a visit and rattled the billy middle of the night, then the sound of rain on the tent (my favourite when trying to sleep, very hypnotic) and now the rains stopped theres about 8 or 9 love sick stags roaring their heads off around us, although im sure one of them is really mike hunty bellowing his guts out in search of thai ladyboys.

The things i dont miss… not checking the ground i setup the tent then letting lil stupid boy pick what side he wants… stupid boy seems to have got several pokey rocks to sleep on 🙁

A couple days ago a family friend rang to say “mrs xxxx is in hospital with the covid its got to her heart and affected her badly… she even got boosted 3wks ago and it still got her bad”

I didnt even bother to point out the “other” likely cause as it wouldve just ended in argument, the ability to join dots has been lost by many!

    • Kelvin Davis …. He passed the buck on to the current Tourism Minister Stuart Nash.

Nash told Checkpoint: “We’re always wise in hindsight.”

“Ministers were operating under great urgency at a time of massive uncertainty as we know, and they had to make decisions quickly.”

He said the Auditor-General had the ability to look at it “in the cold hard light of day”.

Nash said he did not accept that money was given to large companies that did not need it.

“No regrets, no regrets” that I heard on that Checkpoint program. about careless use of tax payer’s monies.
      .
Absolute arrogance of his ignorance in believing he has No responsibility & No Accountability.

  5. Xi Jinping was on his balcony during the early morning, admiring all that Bejing has become

He inhaled a sweet breath of fresh Bejing air and looked East to see the sun smiling down.

    “Hello, Sun”, said Xi Jinping.

The sun replied “Hello Glorious Leader, the architect of a grand Communist Utopia. Best wishes leading your already prosperous nation.”

Xi Jinping, despite his delight, remembered he had an upcoming meeting to attend. He thanked the Sun and left.

As the day approached an end, an exhausted Xi Jinping returned to his office and reflected on the day. He strolled back onto his balcony and looked West towards a beautiful sunset. Hoping to fish more praise he said: “good evening, Sun.”

The Sun candidly responded: “Fuck you, I’m in the West now.

  6. Just reading the NZer of the year guff in the horrid. Steve O’Regan got the top gong for services to shafting the government. The rest of the winners look they came straight from the marae and were given awards for wonderous things such as “Ensuring the seeds are sown for Matauranga Maori” and my favourite “Restoring the whenua for the future of Aotearoa”. What a load of woke bullshit. The only good news is a pink land whale didn’t feature this year. The future of our once great country is not looking good.

Australian Senate, Sen. Alex Antic talks about World Economic Forum sharing the speech on his Facebook page.
    .
The World Economic Forum is steeped in communist ideology.
They promote lockdowns, mandatory injections and a system of digital identification.
    .
It’s imperative that we do all that we can to preserve our liberty and find out just how far the WEF has infiltrated our country and our institutions.

    .
Quietly at this stage gather up those names, saved screen shots, as like rats they seem to be getting nervous, and jump away & hide, so they can continue.
There are hubs of them in New Zealand, coordinating to further the WEF agenda, in many different spheres where they can “influence”.

It is just a matter of knowing these things, and then figuring there are dots to be joined.
Then be better able to do much more to effectively counter challenge.

Will the Government’s April 1 changes give you more cash?

Numerous changes are coming into force from Friday to try and give some Kiwis extra cash amid what economists are calling an “extraordinary” rise in the cost of living.
    https://www.1news.co.nz/2022/03/31/will-the-governments-april-1-changes-give-you-more-cash/

The minimum wage for adults climbs from $20 to $21.20 per hour. Meanwhile, training or starting-out wages are being upped from $16 to $16.96 per hour.

For adults working 40-hour weeks on minimum wage, that will mean an extra $48 per week or $2496 more per year.

The Living Wage Movement also announced on Friday the living wage will rise from $22.75 to $23.65 an hour from September 1. The announcement of the new rate in April gives employers time to make adjustments by September.

According to the Government, a boost to Working For Families will result in about 60% of families getting an extra $20 a week on average.

The second tranche of benefit increases announced in last year’s budget has kicked in. It brings the total rise in benefit rates since July 2021 to between $32 to $55 per adult per week.

As announced in last year’s Budget, superannuation payments are increasing by $52 a fortnight for a single person and $80 for a couple.

According to the Ministry of Social Development, that means a single person living alone would receive $462.94 a week if they used the tax code ‘M’. For couples using the same tax code, they would get $712.22 a week.

Labour MP Helen White has shared her concerns about “an increase in gang activity” just days after Police Minister Poto Williams denied a rise in gang violence.

Writing for the NZ Herald on Friday, White shared her concerns about how Auckland Central was once “a city full of international students and tourists” but “now we are faced with an increase in gang activity in the city”.

But while Williams is correct that police have executed some big busts recently – the largest ever attempted smuggling of cocaine into New Zealand was seized at the border this month – experts have noted a rise in gang-linked violence, particularly shootings in Auckland.

  17. If you could self-identify as a certain ethnicity, and people claiming to be of that ethnicity could get additional political power/influence over and above that of all other ethnicities, would you choose to give up that advantage?

Would you be racist for allowing the status quo to continue, or would you simply be “looking after your people”?

    6

    0

      • “Your people” would be other members of the ethnicity to which you identify.
Not everyone identifies with a specific ethnicity. Many people have multiple ethnicities.

The question arises: is it good for a nation to be multicultural and multiethnic? You could argue that many choose their culture, but some cannot choose their ethnicity. Then there is the debate of what the difference is between “race” and “ethnicity”?

  19. how good is this?

Two doctors who were suspended by the Medical Council over spreading Covid-19 misinformation have won their appeals against the suspension – but it doesn’t mean they can go back to work yet.

Wellington doctor Matthew Shelton was suspended after sending a text message to his patients about his anti-vaccination views stating he did not support the vaccination of children, and pregnant and fertile women.

He and former Taranaki District Health Board radiologist Dr Peter Canaday challenged the suspension in a multi-day hearing in Wellington District Court in February.

Now Judge Stephen Harrop has released his decisions and said he was satisfied that the council’s decision to suspend was not a fair, reasonable and proportionate response to patient safety or public health.

    • Roubles for Gas.

Though the Europeans seem to push back, in not accepting that, it would seem that those supposed financial sanctions will allow the trade of Euros into roubles through a system of banks.

Gazprombank is selling the Euros for Rubbles at the Exchange market in Moscow.
The amount is then credited to the K account of the european client.

When will Gazprombank will be sanctioned by Europe. Not yet… for at least for 2-3 years.
In the meantime, Russia will have completed its Power of Siberia 2 pipeline towards China.
The foreign ministers from France/Germany that they will never pay in Rubbles, only in Euros. But….. but..

        • Crash the dollar. When international trade is conducted in a nations currency, that nation has a good strong exchange rate as everyone needs that currency to trade. When no-one needs US dollar to buy oil and gas, the exchange goes down. Dollar crashes. America pays more for imports.
Anal Schwab Rothschild comes in with his UBI and Digital Money printing computer. They want control and power. The covid a short act in the larger charade of economic solvency. • S1, tying their currency to gold is a boss move. If the west want to cripple russia buy further artificially devaluing gold it will bite their own banks who have been buying up massively the last few years… that would upset a massive chunk of their fractional reserve banking systems assets.

    • ROL, another bunch of dishonest arseholes.

      Quote from your Newshub post.
Auckland Transport’s Chief Executive Shane Ellison says it’s another important milestone in the Safe Speeds programme.

“We’ve got clear evidence that backs up our Vision Zero principles, and the message is simple: safe speed limits are saving lives. Since June 2020 there has been a 47 per cent reduction in deaths in areas that were covered by Auckland Transport’s speed reductions. This clearly shows what we are doing is working.

      Unquote

This dishonest prick Ellison from AT does not bother to say that all of Auckland had substantial lockdowns during that period so no one was using the roads, hence less traffic, therefore less road deaths. He obviously thinks everyone is a fool except him.

Some community groups are paying for the food out of their own pockets to meet the “urgent” demand as calls for help reach unprecedented levels in the region. The increase is due, in part, to families struggling to make ends meet while isolating.

The impact is reflected by the fact nearly a third of more than 1000 Covid-related requests for Ministry of Social Development assistance in the Bay of Plenty in a week came from people who had never sought support before.

  25. There is no doubt Team New Zealand have a marketable narrative, but the harder question is whether it is the right one for the public purse to promote.

Team New Zealand is exclusively male and predominantly European Kiwi. The diversity which defines modern New Zealand is not represented by the crew and while Dalton’s doggedness embodies the pioneering spirit on which the country was built, he’s a rich white guy battling to give mega-rich white guys a few weeks of entertainment.

It has always felt like the Government is taking from the poor to give to the rich by supporting the America’s Cup and trying to sell itself to the world as an adventure playground for billionaires.

A Government willing to invest in an event that is essentially off-limits to women and those on lower incomes all in the hope it will lead to the super rich throwing some loose change about, sends a clear message that New Zealand is elitist and not fussy or particular about whom it does business.

What a twisted mind. all about race, class and embitterment.

The America’s Cup, and by association Team New Zealand, have strong stories to back, but they are narrow, exclusive and privileged.

Apparently the bed wetters are still narking on businesses that are loosening mandates.
What a pitiful existence the rabid fearful have.
In three days they should protest at parliament and see if Trev will sprinkle on them too.

  27. Fair World Order or New World Order?

Russian Rouble fully recovered from post Ukraine invasion slump; Putin in the drivers seat demanding all payments for Russian gas from 1st April in Roubles, or contracts cancelled.

So NATO members have effectively sanctioned themselves and screwed over their own citizens.

  28. Covid-19: Why elderly are dying with Omicron at disproportionately high rates
    Chris Hyde17:12, Apr 01 2022

The vast majority of people dying with Covid in New Zealand are over 70, and our oldest residents are dying at higher than expected rates. What’s happening? Chris Hyde reports.

Beware of Omicron’s giant ski jump.

Statistics show our over 70s are keeping well away from the variant, but those who are testing positive are dying at disproportionately high rates.

Since August 16, fewer than 1000 cases of Covid have been detected in those over 90, and fewer than 5000 in those over 80. In the 70-79 age group it climbs to just over 10,000 cases.

Yet despite the over 70s accounting for just 2.5 per cent of Covid cases since August, they now account for more than 75 per cent of our Covid deaths.

  29. Scientists discover 6m manta ray in Bay of Islands, largest ever found in NZ

One of nature’s most mysterious animals could be making themselves at home in North Island waters, University of Auckland researchers say.

The elusive oceanic manta ray, described as a “graceful dancer in the water” and the most intelligent of all fish, has been found not only mating in Bay of Islands and Hauraki Gulf waters, but giving birth to young.

It’s huge news for the marine biology community, as the rays are globally endangered due to targeted fishing overseas. Numbers have decreased by 90 per cent in the past 30 years.
