      • CO, your family may be to proper to do this but our friends down the road just told their kids at the start of the year when a nazi teacher tells them to wear a mask just to rip the middle finger and say “heres my mask cnut”… it works, 3 boys at college and 1 at primary school. Mum got called into school which the school totally regretted afterwards 🙂 apparently her words to them were her kids mask exemption. Gotta give these arseholes hell mate or theyll continue brainwashing your poor kids.
        Homeschooling was the best choice we ever made, none of the BS to contend with now.

        Apologies for the delay in contacting you regarding your face covering exemption card query. We have been working hard to dispel the misunderstanding that students who are exempt from wearing a face covering under the public health order would require an exemption card to prove this to their school.

        On Tuesday 1 February the Ministry of Education in their bulletin sent out an accurate and useful message regarding face mask exemptions for children at school: that exemption cards are not necessary, and that parents with concerns about mask wearing should discuss this with their school. Kudos to the ministry for taking the issue seriously.

        DPA trusts that this messaging will better support children who are exempt from wearing a face covering under the public health order and hope it eases parents’ (and schools’) minds around this issue.

        You can read the Ministry of Education’s February 1 mask update in their bulletin.

        Face covering exemptions are provided for within the public health order. Someone who is exempt is not required to have a face mask exemption card, a medical certificate or any other documentation.

        You can visit the Unite Against COVID-19 website to find out more about exemptions under the public health order, which include:

        people who have a physical or mental health illness or condition or disability that makes wearing a face mask unsuitable; or
        if you need to communicate with someone who is Deaf, hard of hearing, deafblind or someone who has a disability which makes it hard to have effective communication.

        Update on mask exemptions

        Where parents have concerns about mask wearing, they should be encouraged to discuss this in the first instance with their school.

        You may like to consider identifying certain staff who are responsible for managing questions around face coverings in your school. This could help ensure that conversations are had appropriately by staff who are across the complexities of the issue and have the school’s authority to make decisions and assist with consistency.

        Where someone meets the criteria for exemption, it is important that they are supported.

        It’s not always obvious why someone can’t wear a mask. For example, they may be victims of crime or experience mental health conditions. If not dealt with in a sensitive and respectful manner questioning someone’s eligibility for a mask exemption could unintentionally victimise people further.

        While a small number of national organisations have previously administered exemption cards developed by the Ministry of Health, this will not be necessary. The Disabled Persons Assembly NZ (DPA), Deaf Aotearoa, and Blind Citizens NZ encourage parents, as we do, to discuss their circumstances with you or their teacher in the first instance.

        For those who have an exemption card, it is their choice whether they wear it publicly or not. No one should be required to wear an exemption card if they have one.

        We are continuing to work with the Ministry of Health to identify possible improvements to the mask exemption process.

        You will know that there are many layers of protection in schools, including people who are unwell staying away, increasing rates of vaccination across the population including mandated vaccinations for staff and volunteers, good ventilation, other students and staff wearing masks, good cough and sneeze etiquette and more.

I didn’t even know it was happening, but a bloke I know who works there was saying there were a couple of hundred protesters and the most cops he’s ever seen in one place.     • Had a call from Police last week.
      There was a break in at my rental property, keys obtained and tenants car stolen.
      Access was gained by removing seal on a fixed window and taking the glass out.
      So cops have this scheme where a local building company attends the property and conducts a security assessment, checking locks, window stays, lines of sight, lighting, and makes repairs and modifications at no cost to me or tenant.
      Thanks taxpayer.

      Now if only there was a similar scheme to contract with a local company to catch lowlifes so they didn’t terrorise the neighbourhood.
      That would leave cops free to arrest people for using the wrong pronouns.

    and houses (and the price of other assets) will rise in proportion to the supply of money,
    and the government is printing more money (to keep people from suffering),
    then will the price of houses continue to rise to keep pace with inflation?

    I think this country will need both a recession, high emigration and low immigration, and high interest rates for the price of houses to fall to an affordable level.

    How my children will ever afford to live in Auckland in their own houses is beyond me.

    Earlier today I went along to see my GP as he’d requested I see him. I went along armed with my official government department “mask exemption” but the desk fascists were having none of that. I was told to wear a mask or wait outside. After checking it was acceptable with her, I moved to wait in their interior foyer which has automatic doors from the outside and then into the office. Fascist 2 then informed me I’d have to move outside. I felt like a leper removed from society, so after reflection that this ridiculousness had really pissed off I re-entered and told reception that there was something wrong with patients with a disability being prevented legitimate mask exemptions so I would cancel my appointment and leave. By the way the waiting room was almost completely empty so spacing wouldn’t have been an issue. I did see the GP as miraculously he was almost immediately available. The first receptionist said my GP may allow me to remove my mask which I did. He kept his on.

    As hubby and I had both had Omicron he was interested in the symptoms and why we had made the decision not to have the vax. He was clearly open to discussion and listened when I told him it seems the vaxxed are getting sicker than those who have not been vaccinated. He is clearly not happy with the current leadership and dreads to think how raced based health is going to be practiced for those of us who are not maori but have significant health issues?

    To finish off my trip on a positive note, the lovely Indian lady at the fruiters I used to go to a lot dismissed any concern over me not wearing a mask when I stopped in for coriander so I bought some other things and told her I’d be back in again soon. 🥰. They know the value of a dollar and having regular customers.

    • Saggy, even in our small town, Plod has to drive the less than 100 meters from the local Plod Shop to the closest donut shop and then back.

      A distance of 200 metres there and back is too far and if walking having to mix with the great unwashed would be too much to bear, let alone to have to converse with any of them.

      In the 6 years we have lived in this town, I have never seen Plod walk any part of the main street except from their vehicle to the donut shop and back to the car. They have no idea of what goes on around them. Absolutely lazy and useless.

          I say useless because nothing of tangible importance was achieved with the $60B. They kicked the Covid issue down the road for 2 years and even now they cannot join the dots on spending more on further useless jabs, plus all the associated costs involved –buying media propaganda, testing, test kit costs etc. etc.

          Ive always been a fan of personal responsibility and in the comming months and years many are about to find themselves accountable for their actions that egged on and enabled this govt.
          Others may call it karma 🙂 . I have little sympathy for many that will be squealling when it all goes tits up as most bought it on themselves.
          Ive got mates and relatives that purchased shitboxes at extraordinarily high prices, most even had to borrow from others to get a bloody deposit so the bank would loan to them… gunnabe more then just the homeowners that get burnt, probs a safe bet to say 30-50% of home buyers are engaging in the same behaviour.
