  1. The Canadian Soy boy Trudeau is in trouble again for a fraudulent holiday with a value of $200,000 for him and his bludging family paid for by some billionaire that Trudeau has been doing favors for.
I’d bet my last dollar that some of the shitbags in our labour government have similar schemes going on ,FFS can you imagine arseholes like Willie Jackson, Nanaia Mahuta and the skinny PM not taking advantage of all the situations presented by the covid farce??

    • “The two large supermarket chains are laughing all the way to the bank. As small businesses are forced to close and their monopoly grows, supermarket prices and profits are entering the stratosphere. Smart individuals are now ordering their vegetables and groceries direct from Australia (as far away from us as Moscow is from London) because they are so much cheaper.

This week in the UK the government was forced to intervene to control prices as the cost of tomatoes (mostly imported) rose from NZ$1.10 to $1.80 per kilo. The public were outraged and made their disapproval known in no uncertain terms, forcing the government to act. Here in New Zealand (where tomatoes are easily grown), Countdown is charging at this minute, as I write, on its website from $6 to $16 per kilo for tomatoes.

The government is clueless to control this rampant price gouging, as it is clueless about most things including the pandemic. The public is equally hoodwinked, we are queueing up fully masked and fully vaccinated to pay through the nose for everyday items without so much as a squeak of dissent.”

      • Bypass (Brave) New World franchises. “Locally owned” by tyrants. Bought a lettuce in the local dairy the other day. It had it’s own tupperware, which i left at the store, and was locally grown. Ha, it had its own genesis story. Encourage local trade. Ask and yea might receive. Our small glasshouse of tomatoes is still cropping hard. I don’t think the “we’re all gunna starve” fear porn from artificially elevated prices has any teeth.

        • Beorn our tomatoes are still booming too usually theyre frosted or going mouldy by now, if youve got surplus cheery tomatoes throw em in a dehydrator, they go super sweet with intense flavour and last a long time.
Wifey picked a whole washing basket of the things last weekend and turned em into sauces n soup, this weekend the dehydrator is coming out be 10-15kg left on the vines!

          • You bastard! My tomatoes died about five minutes after I went on holiday at Christmas. I don’t want to jump to conclusions as to what caused their demise but I suspect forgetting to turn on the watering system may have contributed.

      • BRG, both Woolworth and Countdown are money grabbing arseholes.

I bought a pile of tomatoes yesterday at $3.99 Kg from the travelling Fruit & Vege man who covers King Country and lower Waikato towns every week, i.e. he sets up on a specific day in a different town.

The Chinamans fruit and veges are absolute top class quality and are of reasonable price.

Countdown and Foodstuffs have substantial grower supply & pricing contracts, the Chinaman not so much if any, but his prices are always reasonable.

How Countdown can charge $6.99 and look you in the eye is breathtaking. A difference of $3.00 per KG between one of the biggest retailers in the country and a small retailer who has to get up a sparrow fart every morning, drive substantial miles to a different town and have his business up and running by 6.00am can’t be justifies.

The Supermarkets are just dishonest & greedy and the Commerce Commission reckons they are basically OK. Bollocks.

On one hand labour want to investergate their pricing and on the other they drive everybody in their doors!

    • I think she’ll step down. She can’t play off the back foot. She’s exposed, and has nothing. Somehow they managed to create all this self-perpetuating hype out of thin air; it was all smoke and mirrors. Just pay hush money to the media. “Kindness” is a nice-to-have, but it solves little. This is not the school playground. And her kindness was only a veneer, which is now peeling off.
She’ll want to do a runner, because the longer she hangs around, the more her brand gets tarnished, and she’s going to be poison to any future career she’s got her sights set on.

    • When asked by AM co-host Ryan Bridge how to fix the issue, both Willis and Parker said there isn’t a one size fits all magic bullet solution.

“I think if there was a magic answer it would have been found, but it is terribly sad,” Parker said.

Willis agreed but said there are steps the Government can take to help the situation.

“There are things we can do, we can make sure the police have all the tools they need. Do they need more helicopter time for the police eagle? What are the things they need? We can make sure that when these youths do these crimes there are consequences, so they know it’s not a good thing to do and you could end up in trouble.”

There is a simple answer but I’m sure they won’t use it – snipers on the roofs of shopping malls. Could see it being used as training and employment for police and army cadets and would deter the getaway if not the approach.

    • The great new New Zealand accepted normal 🙁

A capture & release program, or simply no capture, ensures that this exciting event will increase.

Almost a nightly occurrence in New Zealand, so it is only natural that at some stage it will be recorded and put on ‘social media’.

….. Assistant Police Commissioner Richard Chambers concedes ram raids are on the rise.
He told Checkpoint that 283 ram raids were carried out nationwide in the year to October 2021 – a rise on the previous year. ….

…. a high proportion of participants are repeat offenders …..
      https://sunlive.co.nz/news/291676-ramraid-rush-we-sense-bit-of-thrillseeking.html

So the seeds are sown, and successfully sprout, and continue to grow!
      All in a protected nursery!

I figure that ram raiding was mentioned in a ‘glossing over form’ by the media, but now with social media interaction, it is so much in one’s face, sp can not be kept on the down-low.
So explanations abound in the twisting & spin for the old problem, that was building up, going on “successfully”// with no or little consequences for the offenders.

  7. This is a bit creepy. I have a facebook account which I haven’t posted to for at least 10 years. I occasionally look at fb pages, some of the links ( the ones that actually work posted by Viking for example). Facebook still email suggested groups to join on a regular basis. Recently they sent me a link for users of Eriba caravans, a relatively obscure german made caravan. It just so happens that we have been looking at importing one of these from the UK So it seems that fb know what I am looking at on my computer, even though I am not using fb to do it.
Is there any other explanation? I certainly don’t buy coincidence.

    • Curious,

[1] Probably your phone picked up you discussing it with someone, your phone is lined to your address either through geo tracking or more likely through your wifi.

[2] Or more obvious, what you browse or search on the internet is captured via the FB – Google data exchange.

[3] Or even more obvious through your browser cookies that record where you have been and said cookies can be accessed by other apps and websites you visit.

On [2] some years back I was tracking what outbound links my browser made, and opening up my browser (and homepage, which was Google) there would be a number of links to Facebook. Which was concerning because I didn’t have a Facebook account. Well at least not one I created. As recorded in the media, most people have a “shadow” Facebook account, even if they do not have a legitimate account.

Apparently nowadays, browsers do not make connections to FB anymore, they just use and co-operate with Google / Amazon etc to share and exchange data.

On [1] myself or friends have experienced talking about a subject, either on a phone call or at home, and next ads pop up on the internet related to that subject.

As Lou Gerstner, the former head of IBM was quoted as saying, (or words to effect of) “In the future people will pay a small fortune to keep their data private and off the internet.”

You have to ask yourself why the heads of several data management companies don’t store their personal or IP data on the internet, a server, or even a PC. You also have to ask yourself why former execs of the NSA tell people not to put their data in the Cloud.

We talked about it and we decided that it had to be from the phone pickingup the conversation as there was another way. We had been outside in a workshop, no internet and it happened when we opened up our FB and you will find google adds do the same.

Attention to all New Zealanders – parliament is busy getting a new bill in place to override the Bill of Rights. According to the speech by David Seymour (ACT), they plan to limit business transactions only with individuals who have been injected with the experimental emergency-authorized mRNA injections (not a vaccine) designed by the criminal pharmaceutical corporation Pfizer. The new bill will give them legal standing to do that… watch this video from today’s session which is part one of the new bill, there is more to come.

Have you noticed they do not get into a motor vehicle and say they have control of the “Steering Ffffeel”?

How can it be that Wanganui and soon Wakatipu have an “H” added and the name then starts with an “F” but the Steering Wheel on a motor vehicle is not pronounced with an “F” by these same people?

    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2022/04/attorney-general-david-parker-raises-concerns-over-unsafe-gun-clubs-amid-law-changes-spat.html
The Attorney-General is raising concerns about unsafe clubs and ranges amid a spat over proposed new gun rules.

Licensed gun owners are concerned about the rules which are set to come into place in June.

New sections of the Arms Act 2020 will require shooting clubs and ranges to be approved and certified by police. The new rules are part of regulations brought in in response to the Christchurch terror attack.

Less supervision/training for young shooters; it’ll be straight out of the gun shop, and into the bush.

  13. The new inner city living / working style.

There is a new development on Taranaki Street in Wellington on what used to be a large Ford Dealership’s land. They have been building these “dog boxes” for the last couple of years and we have not been able to work out what they were. They are two stories high and are in rows of connected premises. The rows go back about 4-5 deep. There is no communal area with trees or gardens anywhere in the middle. Those on the street front have their doors literally opening onto the foot path.
It turns out they are designed to be a version of the Asian style shop houses or work and live premises, or at least those with a street frontage are. They all look to be the same size.

The case for change has not been made and the people have not been consulted, yet she says.

    Quote
“We are now at a point where the case for change is well made and the policy has been robustly tested and improved. We have listened to concerns and now is time to move forward with these reforms,” Local Government Minister Nanaia Mahuta said.”

    and Robertson said.

“Everyone accepts the need for change. You only have to look at the number of burst pipes, boil water notices and the volume of sewerage spewing into our harbours to see we can’t carry on as we are and that our water infrastructure is crumbling.”
    Unquote

It is simple. THE PEOPLE HAVE NOT BEEN CONSULTED by either this Government or the local Councils, so until they have and people have their say, then this Government has not Mandate to steal the local Councils and the people of this country’s, assets.

    • The thin or is it really the thick edge of the wedge will be put into place.

…. The Government has agreed that the northern entity, which will capture Auckland and Northland,
will have a bespoke arrangement that more heavily weight its representative group towards both Auckland council and iwi representatives.
It will retain the 50-50 split between council and iwi representatives. ….

So at some point of time the other 3 designated by iwi design will also fall.
Like following the Waikato River co-governance, and the now very personal Wanganui River will also have a vote.

If it so happens that a significantly high proportion of the triple-jabbed population are frail, anxious elderly (with co-morbidities and a daughter-in-law called Karen) then that might account for the higher death rate.

The Auditor-General plans to investigate youth mental health services after the Mental Health and Wellbeing Commission found wait times for young people had gotten longer.

The review found that wait times for mental health services had not decreased over the past five years, and wait times for addiction services were longer. Wait times for young people to access specialist mental health services continue to be high.

Australian citizen Brenton Tarrant the New Zealand Christchurch mosque shooter also trained in Ukraine before returning to commit an act of terrorism. During the shooting spree in Christchurch Tarrent was wearing a Ukrainian AZOV Battalion symbol on his body vest as pictured above.
