    • I put playback speed onto x1.5. Quite good insight into why Pacific loyally vote for Labour. Had them questioning family and community values not matching Labour values and the fact Labour are damaging their lives and not improving their communities. Explains Marxist agenda and says we live under a fascist state. Had them questioning what is “colonisation” and why it’s used as a stick to divide.   6. Cindy received a rather large cheque from an unknown entity. Rather than be caught cashing such a large cheque, she gave it to Jethro and told him to go cash the cheque.
    Jethro walked into the bank. When he’s called over to the teller, he says, “Good morning, could you please cash this cheque for me?”
    The teller replied, “It would be my pleasure sir. Could you please show me your ID?”
    Jethro said, “Truthfully, I didn’t bring my ID with me as I didn’t think there was any need to. I’m the future husband of your PM”
    The teller said, “Yes sir, I know who you are, but with all the regulations and monitoring of the banks  because of impostors, forgers, and requirements of the legislation etc., I must insist on seeing ID.”
    Jethro said, “Just ask anyone here at the bank who I am and they’ll tell you. Everybody knows who I am.”
    The teller said, “I’m sorry, but these are the bank rules and I must follow them”
    Getting a bit agitated, Jethro snapped, “C’mon woman, I’m urging you, please, to cash this cheque..”
    The teller said, “Look sir, here is an example of what we can do. One day, Lydia Ko came into  the bank without ID. To prove she was Lydia Ko, she pulled out her putter and made a beautiful shot across the bank into a cup. With that shot we knew her to be Lydia Ko and cashed her cheque. So, sir, what can you do to prove that it is you, and only you?”
    Jethro stands there thinking, and thinking, and finally says, “Honestly, my mind is a total blank… there’s  nothing that comes to my mind. I can’t think of a single thing. I have absolutely no idea what to do… and I don’t have a clue.”

  8. Government releases social media ‘listening reports’

    A company commissioned by the Government has been monitoring social media comments about the Covid-19 response for almost two years, reporting back every four days.

    Documents released to RNZ show Annalect surveilled public comments on Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and other sites, about current topics like “Covid response”, “virus”, “vaccine rollout”, “economy”, “business and consumers”, “contact tracing” and “team of five million”, posted by New Zealanders.

    The reports for just three months are more than 300 pages long.

    In each of the “Social Listening Reports” Annalect identified a key theme, like: “The detection of the Omicron variant in MIQ is causing concern”, “Some New Zealanders are frustrated and concerned about the long wait for Covid-19 test results” and “Discussion about New Zealand’s borders and MIQ system has increased over the past three days due to several news articles about overseas Kiwis attempts to gain an MIQ space to return home”.

    The Ministry of Health and Statistics New Zealand has been closely tracking excess mortality in New Zealand over the course of the Omicron outbreak. That data isn’t ready for release yet, but another source shows New Zealand is seeing a record number of deaths for the autumn period.

    The global Human Mortality Database has tracked the number of deaths in New Zealand each week since late 2010. That data reveals 8789 people died in the first 13 weeks of the year – the highest level on record. Each week since the end of January, more people have died than in any previous year in the Human Mortality Database.

    In the face of record high autumn deaths and the prospect of another surge in sickness, the Government appears to have no strategy whatsoever. Ministers have given up on handling Covid-19 and seem content just to plug their ears and pretend it isn’t happening.

    “From appearances, it would appear that there isn’t much of a strategy,” Wellington urgent care doctor Kelvin Ward told Newsroom. Ward organised an open letter to the government calling on it to return to a mitigation strategy, relying on a combination of vaccines, widespread mask use, ventilation, interventions targeted at schools and clear public communications. More than 150 scientists and doctors, including big names like Michael Baker and Siouxsie Wiles, have put their name to the plea.

    “It would appear that they have decided that vaccination is enough and that the vaccinations are going to mitigate, sufficiently, the long-term risks of infection. And that they don’t have a significant commitment to suppressing infection and that they seem to be comfortable with high levels of infection.”
    “It’s hard to say exactly what New Zealand’s strategy is right now, what the key aims are, and how we’ll know if it’s working. We’ve not had clear communication to the New Zealand public about strategy since late 2021 and it’s become even more opaque since the Omicron outbreak arrived,” Kvalsvig said.

    “Instead of a strategy, the post-elimination focus was on vaccination which isn’t a strategy, it’s a control measure. That might seem like a pedantic distinction, but if all you have to offer is vaccines and the virus is mutating to evade them, and vaccination rates are static, where do you go? A strategy is amongst other things a way of coordinating a wide array of policies and protections so that you don’t have all your pandemic control eggs in one basket.”

    • As Osen pointed out the other day there will be a rise in mortality rates in line with the population aging. That’s not what bothers me so much although there would be little doubt that some have had their lives shortened by the vax.
      What bothers me is the ongoing effects of younger people. I read yesterday that there have been 769 deaths of young athletes and sports people in the last year.
      Its also a concern that middle age people are dieing and the young that are getting terribly sick with hepatitus. A disease that without druggies would have been almost extinct.
      It seems also that many cancers are growing in people at a faster rate.

      All for the enrichment of a few.
      Becuase our Govt. was so dumb it no sense of proper enquiry into Phizers drugs despite their reputation for bad drugs.

      Becuase Ivermectin didn’t make the drug companies any money.

  16. In regards to the “social listening reports” commented on earlier today now we know why we had to wait several days between cabinet meetings and announcements.
    The govt claimed it was “to ensure we made the right decisions” when in reality they got their bribed media to throw a bunch of possiblilities out there for public discussion then their “social listening group” would scour social media for feedback on how paletable the decisions were, likely only an hour or so before the announcement tweaks and final decision was signed off on.

    Early on in covid theatre it was cabinet meeting then presser straight after with the decision, then auckland lockdown it changed slightly with an announcement but delayed implementation, then the “delta lockdown” last year it changed big time and obviously they were awaiting feedback from the listening groups and polling.

    • On my OE, in the late 70s I can remember going through Baltimore and it was an absolute slum in the center of it. Needless to say we did not stop. Twenty years later I was over in the US on business, Baltimore still looked the same.

      When we got to the UK (during the 70s OE) we went up through Birmingham and it was just like Baltimore but from what I have seen on TV, Birmingham has improved a lot over the decades. I am sure that like most cities there are pockets of slum like areas but in general it has “grown up”. Candice right about the US cities she mentions.

We were just relaxing that our duck-raising days are over for the next few months as Mother & father Mallard have been doing a great job for the last 6 weeks with their 6 babies, fending off the other 10+ hangers-on that flock to our lawns.. and keeping the local pussy-cats under control., when a new mum has moved into our pond with 7 fluffy day-old quackers.

      Ive known weirdos like that, my mates stepmum breastfed his stepsister until 9yrs old she would even go to the school at lunch and the daughter would come out to the car to get her milkshake… thats messed up

      • If you google it the age range is far larger, up to 16yrs then i guess they probs go into the adult stats?
        Most likely using the younger age bracket to say “look theyre unvaxxed it cant be that”, id be more interested to see the vax status of the 5+ group

        • There is no supporting evidence that breast feeding is the method of affecting the young ones but it does provide a plausible explanation. Agree the vax status of the older kids would be interesting.
          Whenever it is categorically stated that it is nothing to do with the vax I tend to get a bit suspicious.
