  2. At last, it’s just occurred to me that after 5 years of destruction the emaciated stick insect and her cabinet of losers are no longer saying of all of their many many expensive failures “its because of 9 years of neglect”, Wow are we finally gonna make some progress with Cindy and her administration after all the 1st steps towards a recovery is admittance of the problem??

    • Now that is really interesting, I have only read to chapter three this morning but have downloaded it and will continue with it later.
What happened to James Tod’s coin collection, is it’s whereabouts mentioned in the text?

    • Cool. That the simple wheel and chariot meme swept down from Mesopotamia and conquered all. Alexander the Great was tutored by Aristotle (Gandalf). I recently consumed a few hours on YouTube looking at the fall of the Bronze Age Empires, pre-Alexander. The Sea People seemed to be getting scapegoated. The Bronze Age peoples lost their source of Tin out of Afghanistan (supply chains too long – ref: China builds everything) and then commerce floundered, and the whole thing collapsed and all their great big empire kingdoms vanished. The claims to superiority due to antiquity, bloodlines, (sperm of abraham) and links to vanished Empires all seems a bit fake and weak. Juvenal [Satires] on relying on bloodlines: “Shaky indeed is the prop that relies on the deeds of others to hold it up. More likely the whole edificie will come tumbling down.” These guys respected their ancestors but were driven to exceed them, in their own time, by their own deeds.

    • A labour of love. Was there much on the material that the coins were made from? I saw a mention of silver in some coin descriptions, but other materials? Has anyone in the region had their DNA done, that would be interesting and might back legend up.
Might I suggest that on page 2 with your first reference to Alexander, that you put Alexander the Great and I think that you put Alexander in brackets after that and then just refer to him as Alexander. I am happy to be corrected.

On p8 it is interesting that they refer to ‘first ancestors’ as if nothing before counted.

P13. There is a superfluous ‘and’ before a had.

P32 is it struck or strike?

You will have a Lovely time with other enthusiasts and it was an easy read of an unknown subject and could well capture an imagination.

  3. Well done Rissole, yes I too hope it will be in te reo as well, but….. well it might loose something in the translation, so suit yourself. The weather has changed global warming as its 17 .7 (has to be that of course.) the wind is up, and the rain. Have a good day everyone. There is an announcement today maybe of another announcement who would know. I’ve decided not to listen and live my life as best as I can its a time when ignorance is bliss. The Budget this week will be enough for me. FFFFFJA

Thanks for the share and for the PDF; It’s a very interesting document on a very interesting subject. I thoroughly-enjoyed reading it .

A couple of questions / suggestions as a result: If this document is going to be printed for distribution to the Numismatic Society membership, have you given thought to both numbering the document’s pages, and providing sequentially-numbered sources for the numerous maps, quotes and images that appear within it, either as Footnotes (At the bottom of the individual page on which the quote / image / photo or map appears) or through the creation of a ‘Notes’ section (Aka ‘Endnotes’) placed after the Appendix but before the Bibliography?

I ask this as an Historian who was taught ‘If it doesn’t have a reference / source it doesn’t exist’ and who would (for example) be interested in reading Tod’s ‘Annals and Antiquities of Rajast’han or the Central and Western Rajpoot States of India (1829-32’), but in the absence of such details as Where it was published, By whom and When, and also a relevant page number, would find that obtaining a copy of that volume to be very difficult to do, especially as National and University Libraries (in both NZ and overseas) tend to need as much information as they can, to help with their searching. Although the volume I quoted is of personal interest, other readers of your dissertation will also want to ‘learn more’ about some item within the document which has caught their attention, and so anything which will help them find the information that your writings have piqued their interest in, will be extremely useful, and indeed encourage their own research.

You have the information, IMHO it’s now a matter of ‘getting it out there’ and to spread it as far as possible.

Providing some sort of reference will definitely help.

An entry for your own document (If being quoted in another publication), could, for example, look like this:

Alan. L.T. Speedy, ‘Indo-Greek Coinage and Kharoṣṭhī Script’, (Auckland: A.L. Speedy, 2022),

If YOUR document was being quoted-from, it would have the appropriate page number (if the page is actually numbered) attached, and be assigned an appropriate sequential ‘Note’ number.

Please note what I have suggested is NOT a criticism of your narrative and writing skills, but is based-upon personal experience (Albeit in another field of historical research) and is made to make an already-excellent document even better, to enhance it’s ‘Authority’ as a ‘Document of Reference’ (And inter alia YOUR reputation as a “Person of Authority on his subject; a ‘Go-to’ if you will), and so-help whomever might want to pursue their own searches/ research after reading what you have written.

I trust that you will take it that way.

    Thank you.

    • @ Komata

I have studied your comments and your feedback is enormously appreciated!!!

I am working in PPXT Powerpoint as this is principally a presentation at a conference to both amateur historians (the coin people who need entertaining) and the university academic staff.

They may want an article from me in which case I would find a better way to attribute and reference material. At this stage I am considering putting it all in the Bibliography (currently in alphabetic order by author).

I have credited all my own photographs which I took in Pakistan 22 years ago.

Do I need to worry about map sources?

      Thanks again,

      Professor Rissole

What do you think of the bizarre coinage of Agathocles I Dikaios?

When he got control of a part of North-west India he took to the local culture like the Beatles on hash, acid and shrooms.

I have yet to write about all the Indian gods on his coinage!

Was Agathocles I Dikaios the first Hippy?

        • Brig@0823

In respect of Agathocles/ Dikaios: To use an old phrase from the Raj (My age is showing), he seems to have ‘Gone native’, and surprisingly-quickly. Although it is quite likely that he was a ‘pot head’ we can, of course, never know with certainty that that was the case, BUT he certainly seems to have taken to the local ‘culture’ with considerable enthusiasm. ‘Drugs’ were an endemic part of the culture of course (The Kashmir grows great Poppies), so the answer is probably ‘Yes’ although probably used ‘For religious purposes only’, rather than as a ‘Hippy’ as we currently understand the term.

BTW (And to emphasise my original question), the lack of printed page numbers made locating the page a bit difficult, although my PC eventually told that the images were on page 29.

Although you have not done-so in the paper, dating the ‘evolution’ of the coinage (over 10 years?) would IMHO be an interesting exercise / study, as it would no-doubt show the ‘Indianisation’ of an increasingly-isolated and aging Greek, who had concluded that he would / could never get back home and was ‘resigned’ to ‘making the best of the situation’.

Not sure if it answers your question, but it’s an interesting proposition.

          • A superb theory which I will develop.

            Thanks.

I also wonder to what extent he tried to be a cultural Alexander the Great?

Komata what is your background in history and languages?

            7

            0

            • Brig@1050

Thanks for the reply; I’m sure that you will find the study of the ‘evolution’ to be quite revealing, especially if it can be shown to be linked to (And influenced-by) whatever-other empires were in the vicinity (They were always coming and going), although the apparent 10 year time span is somewhat small.

If nothing else, researching that will give you something to do on a wet day when you can’t get out to serenade the neighbourhood with ‘The devil’s own instrument’.

‘Culturally’, and given the passing of time, while Agathocles might have initially had the usual good intentions of ‘Improving the lot of the natives by the introduction of what HE perceived as ‘superior’ cultural practices (Think of the British in various parts of the Empire, even in New Zealand), he was ultimately (IMHO) pushing a ‘doomed’ wheelbarrow, as the locals (if only by virtue of numbers), would inevitably realise that they only had to play a ‘waiting’ game before he (and the ‘Greek Ideas’ he represented / supported) would be die and without his support (By both ‘fair means and foul; again think of the British; especially in India) , the ‘old’, ‘Former’, culture would reassert itself and the ‘New’ culture would be absorbed, modified, then called their own.

In that context, Agathocles, was merely (Albeit unknowingly) following ‘established’ imperial practice, which can be summarised as ‘Empires come, Empires go, the ‘original’ culture remains’.

Thanks for asking about my background. It’s nothing startling. Put simply, ‘Formally’ it’s a Degree and various other bits of largely-useless, academic-type paper gained over many years, and an insatiable curiousity which has led me to into some interesting situations and enabled me to meet some fascinating people, and to do some very interesting research on a variety of subjects as a result. My own particular ‘Severe interest’ is the history of the Coromandel Peninsula’s goldmines, which is fascinating stuff should one be so-inclined. (Most people aren’t)while linguistics and language-development are also a subject that I find of interest.

As I said, nothing startling, but definitely lots of fun.

Thanks for asking, and ‘Happy researching’. 🙂

Thanks for the reply; glad that I was able to help.

As a rough guide, EVERYTHING should be sourced / referenced (as previously-noted, ‘If it doesn’t have a reference / source it doesn’t exist’), and inevitably (and again, based-upon personal experience), sometime, somewhere (and when you DEFINITELY least expect it, someone will want to find that map and when they can’t, YOUR name (As a ‘person of Authority’) will be damaged; it only takes something very minor and can be VERY long-lasting.

        Definitely reference the maps.

They’re an absolute ‘pain’ to do, but as an example (anbd again using the previously-0mentioned MHRA style) , herewith a reference(as a footnote) that I wrote-up in respect of Karangahake:

        ‘Paeroa. [map]. 1:50,000, NZLITSTopo50series, BC.35 1st.ed. Wellington, Land Information New Zealand, 2009’.

In respect of ‘Referencing’ : While I use Modern Humanities Research Association (MHRA) referencing for all my work (The footnote I wrote in the previous post was written in that style), there are several different ones available (herewith a link which could be useful https://falconediting.com/en/blog/important-english-academic-style-guides), with either ‘Chicago’ or ‘APA’ seeming to be the most popular. Have a look through them, choose the one which appeals to you AND STICK TO IT for everything you write from now on.! A Google search for your chosen style should bring-up more details. Although it doesn’t appear on that list, I personally use MHRA as it works well for me and conveys the information I wish to provide to whomever reads my work.

        I hope that this helps.

        Have fun.

      • Would it be helpful in the print version to have an abstract?
In my earlier days of research, I would always read the abstract first to see the abbreviated form of what the research, or patents was about.
Reading patents was a major interest of mine. Did you know seed companies have patents on genes?

  6. These 2 luvvies are seeing the gaps in the teeth of truth, in the Labour administrations.

Sean Plunket interviews Sir Ian Taylor, Founder/Managing Director of Animation Research Limited
    https://theplatform.kiwi/podcasts/episode/sean-plunket-talks-to-sir-ian-taylor
    26 minutes : 13 May 2022

What is worth picking up on is the total control & run ins that Taylor had. with :—-
…. Brook Barrington – Chief Executive — Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC)
reports to the Rt Hon Jacinda Ardern, the Prime Minister.
The Chief Executive is supported by senior managers: …

    https://dpmc.govt.nz/about-dpmc/who-we-are

And the ongoing run ins with the deviousness, that is switching on the light bulb in some parts of Taylor.

All this as shown by “The Jacinda Papers” as found by Guy Hatchard.

….. Te Punaha Matatini—Covid-19 Modelling Aotearoa hosted by the University of Auckland but funded directly by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

…. Covid-19 Modelling Aotearoa is headed by the wildly inaccurate Covid modeller Dr Shaun Hendy ….
…. Perhaps its most frightening consequence is Ardern’s rejection of the notion of individual health rights which has obvious historical parallels. …..

    https://hatchardreport.com/the-jacinda-papers/

Showing the Taylor now sees the orchestration of the litany of lies that control all of the Wellington bureaucracy.

This info that any & all Opposition Parties should be tearing apart.
I hope Matt King is able to get some good connections to this, and enough resources to bring this forth, despite media censorship.

The judge says, “You seem like nice young men, and I’d like to give you a second chance instead of jail time. I want you to go out this weekend and try to convince others of the evils of drug use. I’ll see you back in court Monday.”
On Monday, the judge asks the first guy, “How did you do over the weekend?”
“Well, your honor, I persuaded 17 people to give up drugs forever.”
“Seventeen people? That’s wonderful. How did you do it? ”
“I used a diagram, your honor. I drew two circles like this: O o.
Then I told them that the big circle is your brain before drugs and the small circle is your brain after drugs.”
    “That’s admirable,” says the judge.
Then he turns to the second guy. “And how did you do?”
“Well, your honor, I persuaded 156 people to give up drugs forever.”
    “Wow!” says the judge.
“156 people! How did you manage to do that?”
“Well, I used a similar diagram,” the guy says.
“I drew two circles like this: o O.
Then I pointed to the little circle and said, ‘This is your asshole before prison… ‘”

  9. Reporting rural crime easier, how about stopping crime, how’s that going?

Two North Canterbury districts are trialling a new app that makes it easier to report rural crime.
    https://www.1news.co.nz/2022/05/16/hopes-new-app-will-make-rural-crime-easier-to-report/

The app, Rural Lookout, works without an internet connection, allowing, farmers who suspect a crime, to tag their location and upload photos – information that gets sent straight to the police.

Canterbury Rural Area Commander Inspector Peter Cooper says police believe a lot of rural crime goes unreported.

    12

    0

    • Most rural crime goes unreported because the cops do sod all about it. You get confirmation that it’s been reported & sufficient documentation to satisfy the insurance company but generally nothing is investigated, no-one gets arrested & your insurance premiums get hiked..

The only worry rural crime causes the cop hierarchy is that cockys will sort things out themselves. A hint of such insurrection sees formal warnings & firearm confiscations showering down like rain from the heavens.

  10. Reserve Bank repeatedly warned Government money printing would lead to house price inflation

Grant Robertson and the Government were warned in January 2020 that there was a ‘significant’ risk Reserve Bank money printing would push up house prices and deepen inequality. Despite calls from the Reserve Bank that the Government would need to act to blunt the effects of this, nearly 13 months later, nothing has been done.

    15

    • I thought the Labour Party was for the little people: the workers, the poorer, the “vulnerable,” etc.

How unkind of the government to print money to boost house prices that would concentrate wealth among those who already have it. I didn’t realize how Christian the Ardern Regime is. (See Mathew 25:29 below)

“For to every person who has something, even more will be given, and he will have more than enough; but the person who has nothing, even the little that he has will be taken away from him.”

Labour favoring the wealthy. What strange times we live in.

      15

      0

      • The scary part is some people still think money printing makes them rich. Money is issued as debt. More money equals more debt, more interest, more inflation.

But enough theory: Does anyone know if inflation has actually become a problem after all this money printing to boost house prices ?

IMF lives in a Honda City:

Macroeconomic policy support may be needed if there is a deep and rapid correction in the New Zealand housing market, the International Monetary Fund says.
In its latest review of the New Zealand economy, the IMF has had a close and detailed look at the housing market here.
It says that financial stability risks from a sharp downturn in the housing market are limited given high bank capitalisation, “but pockets of vulnerability, particularly amongst recent borrowers, may exist”.
“More broadly, there is likely to be a larger impact on consumption through wealth and sentiment effects. In a scenario of a marked housing correction, macroeconomic policy support may be needed to avoid second round effects and a pronounced downturn.”

“Yeadon feels that the novel vaccines should have not been given emergency use authorization (EUA) and that if he were directing the pandemic response, children, pregnant women, and people who already had contracted the virus would have been given a red light on the jabs.

“I would have outright denied their use in children, in pregnancy, and in the infected/recovered. Point blank. I’d need years of safe use before contemplating an alteration of this stance.”

  21. I’m fucking fuming, possums. A while back I was browsing one of my old school yearbooks from decades ago and I happened upon a little cartoon drawn by a student which would be rather politically incorrect today to say the least, but back then it clearly didn’t raise a single eyebrow. Fast-forward to Saturday night and I was having a discussion on a private thread on my Facebook page (i.e. only friends could see it). This cartoon had relevance to the topic so I posted it, with context and appropriate comment. Well, did I get piled into! “You shouldn’t have posted that, it’s not a good look.” “You’re very callous if you thought it was acceptable to post that.” And that was just the start. Worse, the main offenders were friends and relatives who hadn’t been involved in the discussion, but happened to see the thread and were hurt and offended by a cartoon drawn by a 13-year-old classmate nearly 40 years ago! I made the stupid mistake of trying to defend myself, but came to my senses and abandoned the attempt. Fuck ’em. And then to add sauce to the sausage, I was informed by Facebook the next morning that my comment had outraged community standards and I would be serving a sentence in Facebook jail. So there we have it, possums. Cancel culture is groping everywhere with its insidious tentacles. Even referring to the unsanitised past can be punished, and your friends and relatives will snitch on you.

    • As you say Leofric, f*k em! It’s all dl’s doing, her agenda has been to shatter communities, friends and family all over this little nation we are falling apart. We used to all rub along together but there is a sustained agenda to split us into groups. Them and us, jabbed and non-jabbed, masks and no masks, etc, etc and don’t even try to have a sense of humour. They’ve drunk the Koolaid.

Don’t apologise. Never apologise. What was your intent, to abuse? Hostility? NO! It’s their problem not yours. I haven’t seen or heard from my family’s “controlling karen” for 6 months. It’s been BLISS!!!! Sad but that’s how it is for now.

      • Going by the reaction from the Karens you’d have thought I wanted to hang niggers from trees. It’s a funny old thing, Waikatogirl. I want to not give a flying fuck, but I’ve been feeling put upon and brassed off about it. When I’m out of Facebook jail there’s going to be some de-friending going on.

        10

        0

        • Yes Leofric, I too have taken a very long time to get over the hurt and repercussions of being shit on. Now it’s the thought of eventually having to be in the same room and deal with it….

    • I closed my FB account years ago, so I’m not sure of the technicalities of how you would go about this, but if it were me I would:

      a) open a Telegram account (or similar) to connect with your real friends

      b) wait until your FB ban is over, then

      c) post or message for everyone to see “I was banned by FB for simply referring to a cartoon from 40 years ago. This is a totally unacceptable level of censorship and I will therefore be closing my FB account on (date). I will no longer be available to receive your disapproval on this platform. If you wish to connect with me after (date) please contact me on Telegram, where freedom of expression is still allowed”.

      • I’m close to doing it, Eurokiwi. But as many find with FB these days, it’s difficult to disengage. I keep in touch with so many friends and family solely through FB and Messenger, and I belong to several very good groups for various hobbies I’m involved in. I’m going to look to reduce it to a minimum though. I’m sick of it.

    • Defriend everyone who gave you shit with a note to go and get fucked. Tell them you are spending the rest of your life with people who are worth spending time with and obviously they are not wort the time and effort,

      14

      0

      • That is precisely what I am going to be doing, ROL. A little along the lines of EuroKiwi’s suggestion there will be a post announcing that I’m defriending several people who gatecrashed a private discussion uninvited, just so they could tell me how offended they were. This includes a brother-in-law and a first cousin. Fuck ’em. I prefer people who don’t shit on me.

        • Have a close look at your privacy settings. You can exclude individuals very easily and make your stuff a lot more private. Had a few bans and shadow bans and restricted shit but Isee a lot of world news stuff there.

        • Serves ya right for bothering with scummy facebook.
90% of your facebook “freinds” and family only freind you to get more views and have a following to show off or pity party too.
Ditch the lot of them, you only need a few real freinds and they wont give a shit youre not on there as theyre the ones that stop by for a visit or pickup the phone for a yarn same with family tbh.
Trust me life is far simpler without all that bullshit and drama, ive never used it but am slowly weaning wifey off that crap and its made a huge difference.

If you do decide to nuke your facebook account have one last laugh and repost the offending image again 🙂

  22. People Who Pushed Idea of Universal Vaccination Are ‘Guilty of Crimes Against Humanity’: Former Pfizer VP
    By Enrico Trigoso
    May 14, 2022 Updated: May 14, 2022

Former Pfizer VP Michael Yeadon maintains that since the infection fatality ratio of COVID-19 has not been high, the vaccines should not have been mandated.

Moreover, he heavily blasted the corporate media mantras that designate these as safe, effective, and necessary to end the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus pandemic.

Yeadon is a big pharma veteran with 32 years in the industry. He worked as the head of allergy and respiratory research at Pfizer from 1995 to 2011 and is the former founder and CEO of Ziarco, a biotech company acquired by Novartis. Furthermore, he has a doctorate in respiratory pharmacology and holds a Double First Class Honors degree in biochemistry and toxicology.

Earlier this month, a physician said that he has been seeing an unusual amount of fetal death and miscarriages linked to the COVID-19 vaccines—according to his observations—and noted that mRNA products, contained in nanoparticles, accumulate in the ovaries.

“From data that we have, there appears to be a concentration of the lipid nanoparticles, which are very, very small particles, which are in the vaccine that are injected into the arm,” Dr. James Thorp told The Epoch Times, “and then the vast majority of those are dispersed throughout the entire body.”

  23. India Bans Wheat Exports Over Food Security Concerns
    By Tom Ozimek
    May 14, 2022 Updated: May 15, 2022
    biggersmaller Print

India has banned wheat exports, citing heightened risk to food security in the country and some of its neighbors arising from a sudden spike in the global prices of wheat.

The move seeks to address the difficulty India and other vulnerable developing countries are having in accessing adequate wheat supplies, India’s Directorate of Foreign Trade said in a government publication (pdf) on May 13.

Citing “many factors” behind surging wheat prices, which have risen by more than 40 percent this year, the agency said the ban was effective immediately, with exceptions allowed for shipments backed by letters of credit issued prior to the May 13 notice and on a case-by-case basis at the request of countries “to meet their food security needs.”

One person has reportedly been killed and four others critically wounded during a shooting at a church in Southern California.

Authorities were called to Geneva Presbyterian Church in the city of Laguna Woods, about an hour’s drive south-east of Los Angeles, around 2pm on Sunday afternoon.

“We have detained one person and have recovered a weapon that may be involved,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Department posted on Twitter. https://au.news.yahoo.com/multiple-people-shot-at-california-church-215436688.html?utm_source=Content&utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=Facebook&utm_term=News&ncid=facebook_facebook_idephgok50s

  26. The bible predicted the rise of Ardernism:

Because of the suffering that your enemy will inflict on you during the siege, you will eat the fruit of the womb, the flesh of the sons and daughters the Lord your God has given you. Even the most gentle and sensitive man among you will have no compassion on his own brother or the wife he loves or his surviving children, and he will not give to one of them any of the flesh of his children that he is eating. It will be all he has left because of the suffering your enemy will inflict on you during the siege of all your cities. The most gentle and sensitive woman among you – so sensitive and gentle that she would not venture to touch the ground with the sole of her foot – will begrudge the husband she loves and her own son or daughter the afterbirth from her womb and the children she bears. For she intends to eat them secretly during the siege and in the distress that your enemy will inflict on you in your cities.

        ————
As the king of Israel was passing by on the wall, a woman cried to him, “Help me, my lord the king!”

The king replied, “If the Lord does not help you, where can I get help for you? From the threshing floor? From the winepress?” Then he asked her, “What’s the matter?”

She answered, “This woman said to me, ‘Give up your son so we may eat him today, and tomorrow we’ll eat my son.’ So we cooked my son and ate him. The next day I said to her, ‘Give up your son so we may eat him,’ but she had hidden him.”

Colour me very sceptical, but there has to be more to this story than we are being told, since even such low-lives as the MM’s won’t willingly do home invasion unless they have very specific reasons to do so.

Charging into an unknown house without a very good reason is simply not their style

The ‘protecting his nieces and nephews etc,. is also just tooo convenient, and IMHO you could drive a bus trough the narrative being presented. It simply doesn’t add up.

Only Plod is likely to know exactly what happened, and he certainly won’t divulge the ‘finer details’.

  28. This chap might get not get the response he obviously expects travelling with a billboard that reads: .

An Ōtaki artist is heading on a tour of the North Island to address issues of racism and speak with a number of political figures about the historical and cultural significance behind Aotearoa, and why it should be the country’s official name.

Hohepa Campbell, known to most as Hori, kicks of his four-day This is Aotearoa tour on Tuesday.

It’s part of a wider campaign of his – Hori’s Pledge – which aims to give people more insight into te ao Māori and combat the work of lobby group Hobson’s Pledge.

One of their campaign’s “New Zealand not Aotearoa” calls for Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern to publicly affirm that the country’s official name is New Zealand.

    • “The actual renaming of Aotearoa – that was done by Abel Tasman in 1642, so Hobson’s pledge is saying that we are trying to rename it as Aotearoa where it actually happened the other way so it’s kind of bringing awareness to the history of that kupu”
As far as I know Maori never had a name for the country as a whole. It was never a country as we know it now but rather just a bunch of disparate waring tribes.

      • An easy fix, prove it was called aotearoa prior to europeans arriving… any written proof will suffice, no chinese whispers and bs stories as after all this is coming from a bunch of ppl that believe nz was fished up and a massive kauri tree pushed the sky from the earth.

      • Maori were (and still are) tribal. If asked what or who they were they would answer eg Ngati Porou or possibly the name of their hapu.

The concept of nationhood didn’t exist & their borders were limited only by their ability to defend the land they claimed. There was no need for a name for what was a sparsely settled archipelago.

I forget the name of the asteroid but in the next few years it will be at the peak of its orbit, it was already calculated to come very very close to earth around mid 2050s but unsure how much other gravitational forces will affect it untill its a few years into its return.
