  1. In some ways correct, in some ways not.

There’s evidence that we’ve become dumber as a society, which seems to suggest that selective breeding programme (otherwise known as the welfare state) is having an impact: where the intelligent are discouraged from breeding and the dumb are encouraged to breed with so-called “redistribution”.

Plus, our politicians are keen to import people from shithole countries to help their voter base (especially the CoL). Add them to the mix of selective breeding and our ‘collective’ intelligence is going down.

So much so that to 43% (or so) of the population, Ardern appears intelligent.

    • My prediction is Winston will push Jacinda over the edge with the Ihumātao land protests.
Winston is not a dumb politician, he is just stir crazy bitter towards the Nationals.
NZ is not immune from from the the way many of the voting systems of the world have morphed into a nobody ever democratically wins situation. 43% don’t think Ardern is intelligent, they just believe she knows better than anyone else. The great tragedy is Winston is a dead ringer for Tony Windsor and Rob Jokeshott. They held the balance of power in the Australian Parliament and were and are disgruntled conservatives. They hate with a vegeance off the ricter scale.
Much to Australia’s relief, both have failed at regaining seats, people are not that dumb.
It is starting to look like this COL will fall apart before the expiry date, Winston will have no vote left if he doesn’t jump ship. The public has to ask why a few percent get all the power, this is the problem.

      • I definitely agree that Winston is not a dumb politician.

I believe Ardern’s fatal mistake was in Australia trying her ‘charm offensive’ – which flopped with their compliant media. The insane Left have now smelt blood in the water. I suspect Ardern will not recover.

It will be interesting to see how Peters plays it. I suspected at the time, one of the reasons he went with Labour is he has been the deathknell of all previous coalitions and that if he went with a new coalition he might not been seen a poison chalice. What I mean is when he went with Bludger back in 1996, National had already been in power two terms, similar with Clarkenfuhrer. Ardern represented a ‘new’ government and one he possibly couldn’t destroy in a single term. (If he’d gone with English, it could be argued people were sick of National after four terms).

I’m not saying this was the major reason but a reason. I fully believe Peters was after utu and that this was the major reason he went with Ardern.

      • If Winston times it right and Cindy loses it and steps down before the election, he can slide into the PM’s seat for the last few months and FINALLY go down in history as the first Maori PM of NZ. It would suit Winston down to the ground, all the swagger and prestige of being PM and not much official to do close to the election.

  2. Urban Heat Island effect – why major cities return record temperatures (and David Seymour)

Any good liar will tell you that the best lies contain elements of truth in them. The same is true with the various Meteorological organisations around the world that keep on recording record high temperatures (proving Global warming daahdaaa).

They always neglect to mention that the temperatures aren’t being adjusted for a modern phenomenon called the “Urban Heat Island” effect which drives up overnight temperatures (buildings and tarmac hold heat soaked up during the day and release it to warm up night air) thus driving up the recorded temperature over the total day.

Weather stations are in urban areas (or at airports besides vast tracts of heat absorbing black tarmac), Sydney’s one is in the middle of the 5 lane blacktop of the Cahill Expressway in full sun, with a handy glass-windowed tower block behind it – perfect for maximising temperature readings? Maximum temperatures at airports are often recorded in a very short 1-2 degree temperature spike that seems to last no more than 90 seconds – surely not when a passing 747 takes off blasting hot air on to the sun-baked runway and off to the weather station a few metres off the tarmac?

Which got me thinking about David Seymour as he seems to employ this ‘sprinkling of truth’ approach.
-Sure free speech is vitally important.
    -Why?
    – Because we’re being prevented from having an open debate about the unfettered migration – in particular the shady UN migration pact – that is destroying the EU (and why US cities now have to have signs up making it clear shitting on the sidewalk is not OK).

    • DP : free speach is important but so is democracy and Seymour sold out democracy to get his Euthanasia bill furthered in Paliament by covering his bets and selling his sole to Winston Peter’s referendum.

      • As I have said before, Act have been side tracked to a single issue.
I am not really concerned about that issue
        Its a major distraction.
So I see ACT wallowing at 1% for the next few years, till they up their game.
They just seem to be a one man, one issue pardy.

      • Ah was that what it was? Thank you, I did not know that was the 20 talents of silver.

Whilst I thought the euthanasia bill was a good initiative – Seymour went ‘full retard’ on it. As if it was going to be a career defining victory for him. If it cost him good sense and principles then the price was too high.

    • “ACT has always been an unabashed defender of free speech. We voted against the Harmful Digital Communications Act and we’ve defended the rights of controversial figures to speak publicly.

“This agreement takes us in the wrong direction. There is too much scope for these provisions to be abused by parties who wish to shut down free speech.”

Good thing ACT is opposed to the UN migration pact.

Why ACT is against the UN Migration pact

      More here

Even The Standard thinks ACT is opposed and calls them out on it.

ACT IS pro immigration. But they have very clear ideas about who they want as immigrants (the subtext is “productive people, preferably European). It is written all over their policies when you consider them as a whole.

Don’t fall into the same trap as Ardern and Shaw and Peters and spread lies.

    • “The UN Global Compact for Migration strips New Zealand of control over its own borders, public policy direction and presents a genuine danger to the preservation of New Zealand’s values of free speech and individual liberty. ACT is opposed to signing and implementing this agreement.”

        • You’re welcome. I had a longer post that took my morning coffee to compose on a mobile phone (Links is a pain), but it seems to have disappeared after I edited it. Must have triggered a #link threshold and gone into moderation.

Anyway, ACT is very clearly against the UN Migration pact. A number of posters seem to confuse their pro-immigration stance with being pro UN Migration pact. And a number of posters seem to confuse being pro-immigration with “let everybody in”, when their actual policy is very, very selective.

Actually, come to think of it. I linked to The Standard because they were calling ACT out for being against the UN Migration Pact (And likened Seymour to Molyneux!) so you have to know DS is doing something right. But maybe that link to the standard was the final straw 🙂

  3. Anyone tells me weather is changing, I tell them to move to Cape Otway in Victoria. It has records back to early 1800’s and no urban sprawl. The weather has varied, but not greatly changed like the rest of the world supposedly.
Another classic was they moved the weather station at Birdsville from one building to another, then did readings in both for 3 years. The new one had higher readings. You could chuck a dead dingoes donger between them.
Last year Scotland andured its highest averages because an icecream truck parked next to a weather station everyday.
The people handing out the coolaid are either great Liars or just a few sheep short in top paddock.
You cannot debate debate people like Jacinda Ardern, she doesn’t do debate at all, she is convinced her knowledge is superior, except when Winston pulls her back into line.

  4. Finally a Minister has come out supporting the work her staff do. About time.

Tracey Martin on uplift controversy: Oranga Tamariki ‘believed the child was in danger’

“It’s very easy to say ‘Hands off our Tamariki.’ I’d love for us to not have any situation in this country where we needed a children protection service.

“But I don’t think any single person in the country believes that is the case.”

The Government has just released a tranche of documents detailing the work that has gone into a new early intervention service run by Oranga Tamariki, which replaced CYF two years ago, to decrease the number of children removed from whānau.

The programme of work was funded in Budget 2019, and a suite of law changes came into force on July 1, that require the ministry to demonstrate a partnership with iwi.

The plans include boosting the number of social workers, caregivers and frontline staff to 900.

These clients are producing unwanted foetal alcohol and drug syndrome kids and have the cheek to hide behind Maori culture.
In all honesty there aren’t many candidates in these whanau’s that should be left any children to raise.
It is terrible to have to state it but it is the truth.
Mother – 6 kids to different fathers – all removed by the state for neglect and continues to get pregnant, only to have the child removed at birth – Children seriously affected by mothers drinking while pregnant – but can’t be sterilised. You can see why CPYS staff have depression issues.

Call on each dpb house and check how it is. Children clothed and educated, clean and tidy, no beer bottles outside etc.
If not up to scratch give them a one month warning.
      Then cancel their dpb.
If they want to kill their own kids that fine by me.
With all the money saved we could drop taxes and we’d all have more jobs and more money, and less ferals to bash and rob us in the future (and to vote Labour)

I just had a peek and I’d say the whole operation has had it. Whaleoil has a legal looking notice as its only content and BDF (what the fuck does that stand for?) is just a slow loading mess. The deputy leader, Elliot told how the government is paying for drugs to promiscuous homosexuals who choose to have unprotected sex with multiple partners to prevent them from being infected with HIV. The cost a couple of years ago was $1,000 US a month.

There are many firearm owners who are very unhappy with National over the firearm legislation but also strongly oppose euthanasia. I was they should consider all options and not voting as some may is not a good option.

  11. Is Rob Stock at Stuffed a specials needs person?
    His ‘stuff’ is pretty useless.
NZ media has always been crap for business pages and the NBR went pretty feral 18 months ago.
The blogs like sharechat are more useful.

Overseas papers generally have a business section.
‘Stuffed’ appears to have an anti-business section lead by climate fairy lightweight wee Robbie Stock.
He ran anti-ANZ stuff a few weeks ago as ANZ involves J. Key as Chairman. KDS.
Being a mediatard, Stock will automatically hate Key without any analysis.
Analysis, analysis, who the fuck is analysis
(sung to the tune of ‘who the fuck is Alice’).

Now he has had a go at the BNZ with special needs comments like :
    https://www.stuff.co.nz/business/money/114664746/bnz-accidentally-sent-foodstuffs-100-million
“BNZ’s $100m stuff-up was processed, and the money arrived in Foodstuff’s accounts, and because the FMU banker did the demonstration after end-of-day transaction checking, the mistake was not spotted by BNZ until the next day.
Foodstuffs, which owns the New World, Pak ‘n Save and Four Square brands, also spotted how much richer it had got overnight.
BNZ described the event as a “near miss” because Foodstuffs returned the money on February 28, so shareholders did not suffer any loss.”

So a non event but a big thing for a small mind like wee Robbie has.
Catchy headline; built like a puffer fish and just as toxic.

BNZ made a wee cock up but nothing important.
A staffer accidentally transferred $100 mill to Foodstuffs.
Foodstuffs being a decent corporate citizen returned it no fuss.

Now maybe wee Robbie was off his meds or in ‘residential care’ a few years ago when Westpac transferred $10 mill to the Business account of Leo Gao in Rotorua and Gao and his girlfriend left the country for China.
Eventually Gao was convicted of theft.
It is clear the accidental transfer of money from one party to another does not entitle the recipient party to retain it. His media mates even reported this with gusto.

It seems wee Robbie likes to string together Mother Goose stories and send readers on a wild goose chase.
The real goose is Stock but as he is clearly special needs I should not be so mean.
    Oh, what the hell!
Rob Stock is clearly a bastard of a bloke and so far from the truth he is a malicious prick.
    There I said it.

Some special needs people work at supermarkets in roles like collecting trolleys.
Was wee Robbie’s last job collecting trolleys at the supermarket- a Foodstuffs supermarket perchance?

He is anti Fletchers building 400+ houses near Auckland airport and thinks that we should build houses in place of golf courses and malls but not on legally purchased empty land acquired for housing.
” Auckland has a lot of poorly-used land holding large and ageing warehouses, rundown racecourses, low-density housing, under-used golf courses, huge car yards, sprawling malls.”
    https://www.stuff.co.nz/business/114554464/the-real-reason-why-fletchers-is-building-at-ihumtao
As usual comments are removed after people posted.

Yep Rob Stock of AU Channel Nine/Stuffed sure is special.
It is nice they take care of the challenged in our society and give them meaningful (?) work.
Perhaps I should be nicer towards Stuff and their community work.

  13. Those guns again.
Well the police are caught napping and making excuses via their media specialist once more.

Eight-year-old Khan was on his quad bike down the road from his home, when he came running home after around 10 minutes with a burning pain and blood running down his right arm

“I first I sort of grabbed a towel and wiped up his arm and then I noticed that it was a perfect circle, and it was raised and all the inside was minced. I sort of looked at Billy and said we both knew like it looks like he’s been shot,” she says.

Their worst fears were confirmed – an X-ray revealed a pellet from an air rifle, like a slug gun, was lodged deep in Khan’s forearm. The boy was lucky he escaped any permanent damage.

“It had missed two of his main muscles, just missed his main nerve and artery. He would’ve lost all use of his arm, he’s a lucky, lucky boy to still be here,” Kim said.

  14. The El Paso shooting would appear to be a pretty clear case of copycat. I just read the shooters “manifesto” (thought I’d better do it quick before Cindy bin Lying bans it). He starts by saying “In general I support the Christchurch shooter and his manifesto. This attack is a response to the Hispanic invasion of Texas.”

Meanwhile I received this snapshot from the gun “buy back.”

Surveying the assembled crowd of perhaps forty or fifty predominantly older men (50+ age group) with their collection of semi automatic hunting rifles, Browning BLRs, Remington 742s, M1 Carbines and “MSSAs” the veteran of Afghanistan and other deployments now a civilian still working for the Defence Force told me “You have to be a very special kind of stupid to believe that this will make any of us safer.”

This man, who has used real “assault rifles” in defence of himself, his mates and his country can no longer be trusted, apparently, to own his own personal .223 modern sporting rifle so he is doing “the right thing” and handing it in to be destroyed in what is perhaps the greatest act of wanton vandalism ever perpetrated for no good purpose against the lawfully acquired property of the decent people of New Zealand. It is a time of shame and infamy for the Government of the despicable communist Ardern in this “No Country for Old Men” formerly known as New Zealand.

This time it’s Israel’s cousin, Josiah, who has been let go from a teaching job at a prestigious Catholic school. Keep in mind that he was employed as a tutor & boarding house supervisor at St Gregory’s College at Campbelltown. He wrote to a parent who attended one of the church’s services that

…….”any devout Catholic person IS NOT A SAVED CHRISTIAN WHATSOEVER”.

“Look at Catholic doctrine, almost 100% of it is false and is filled with lies,”

“The blasphemous Catholic mass is a paganistic ritual rooted in heresy, evil and devil worship.”

“Roman Catholicism is masked devil worship,”.
