  1. “Police gather evidence to prosecute motorway protesters”
Holy shit these protesters should be concerned, the NZ police will put a deaf dumb and blind man that can’t even read braille on this and he’ll come up with all the evidence to take those people to court.
It’s just the the way the lazy incompetent NZ police upper leadership cabal operates, good young new officers must become rapidly discouraged when they realize what utter Billy bunters are running the force.

  3. So here is the proof that James Shaw went into Labour & Arderns Cabinet, only to look after himself, himself and no one else.

The man is a Weasel not there for his Party, not there for the betterment of New Zealand but in Cabinet to better and embellish himself. It is more about James Shaw, 5 Star Hotels, Chauffer driven BMW’s and Air Points than it is about improving the lot of the Taxxpayer.

    Quote
Ardern confirmed her deal for ministerial jobs struck in late 2020 after Labour’s landslide victory was not with the Green Party – but with Marama Davidson and James Shaw themselves.

    • TAH ,That is fricking unbelievable, if the leaky boat that is Labour party corruption was all that was keeping NZ afloat was suddenly to disappear We’d all be swimming for our lives whilst they partied away on the creatures new Airforce 1 as they headed for greener pastures after decimating our Country.
It makes you wonder how green voters feel about Shawe this morning as they head off on their bicycles after feeding the unicorns and garden Angels in there 10 foot by 10 foot green sustainable backyard sanctuary.

        • How ugly could this become?

It has the potential for these ‘fellow’ travellers to finally part their weird and wonderful ways…

Ordinary Kiwis are worried about 3 things and this will determine the outcome of the next election.

          In no particular order:

          – INFLATION

          – CRIME

          – ‘MAORIFICATION’

Unlike we YSB bloggers, they are NOT worried a jot about religion, totalitarianism or the fact that New Zealand’s foreign minister goes to work after sleeping in a potato sack under a hedge with her cousin.

          • First Prize for the best summation of how New Zealanders think BGR. After watching the piece on the Sunday programme last night about the other side of the Ram Riders, and the woke pathetic interviewer, social worker who has been working with this kid for years……and the mother with 5 kids partner/(s) in jail, and all the rubbish that was on that programme the help this particular kid has received and prior to that before……. Country Calendar, the weather girl. FFS what country are we living in? All the Maorification of every place in New Zealand. Jesus and all the other deities wept. Obviously I have not watched free to air TV for a very long time, as I had no idea there were all the changes to our language. I was stunned, and have no interest in this new country we are living in so I will definitely NOT be watching any more. And I really don’t care what happens to these kids who have every opportunity to steal and ram raid etc due to the cops not able to do anything thanks to Andrew Beeeecroft.

              • Ignore???
Ignore the Becroft’s children that create mayhem, which will be deemed only a judicious manslaughter event if they kill you????

Becroft’s children are given the ok to smash you over the head. while sleeping, and if you defend your self, the police will charge you with intent & seize from you any weapon that you used for your survival that night.

Mean while that supposed kids names are suppressed.
                The Charges are suppressed.
                The Sentence is suppressed.

When all you intended was to have a good night’s sleep before waking early to for a long day’s work.

The kid’s intent to be in the house, smashing a bottle over your head, threatening with a knife, & who clearly states that he will kill you at different times during that night, and re affirming that again in Court.

Then even if found “Not Guilty” there still are the $100’s of thousands of dollars, which seems to be judicially justified as being your white privilege, & deemed a rich prick, for you to pay your lawyers.
Then you have to pay tax on that income, then tax on those taxes as that is called personal drawings.

            • LizzieP, there is hope in the very fact that by not watching free-to-air TV you were unaware of all the changes to our language. This (optimistically) points to horification existing in a bubble comprised partly of woke TV producers and presenters. I don’t know that it’s catching on widely with the racist colonial squatters that make up most of the population.

  4. A woman goes to her doctor and says she wants an operation because her vagina lips are much too large.
She asks the doctor to keep the operation a secret as she’s embarrassed and doesn’t want anyone to find out. The doctor agrees.
She wakes up from her operation and finds three roses carefully placed beside her bed.
Outraged she immediately calls in the doctor and says, “I thought I asked you not to tell anyone about my operation!”
“Don’t worry,” he says, “I didn’t tell anybody. The first rose is from me. I felt bad because you went through this all by yourself. The second one is from the nurse. She assisted me with the operation, and she had the operation done herself.”
“Who is the third rose from?” she asked.
“Oh,” says the doctor, “that rose is from the guy upstairs in the burn unit. He wanted to thank you for his new ears!”

I know you have been lying awake at night wondering why baby diapers have brand names such as “Luvs”, “Huggies”, and “Pampers’, while undergarments for old people are called “Depends”.
Well here is the low down on the whole thing.
When babies crap in their pants, people are still gonna Luv’em, Hug’em and Pamper’ em. When old people crap in their pants, it “Depends” on who’s in the will!

  5. so what drives David Parker?
    Never did like the prick.

Where has the left been during the neoliberal period? What happened to the mighty coalition that built the modern welfare state and shook the world? Piketty has a two-fold explanation. He believes the collapse of communism induced the traditional left into a state of intellectual exhaustion. And since then, left-wing institutions and political parties have been taken over by what he terms the “Brahmin Left” (named after the highest caste in Indian society).

This is the faction of the richest 10 per cent who comprise the technocratic, educated class. It dominates the public sector, universities, non-governmental organisations and cultural and media industries and competes for political power against its enemies in “the merchant right”, the rival faction that controls most of the business and finance sectors.

    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/wealth-by-stealth-as-inland-revenue-pursues-nzs-richest-would-a-wealth-tax-work/K4SEBNJBROUOT7OAPJDKV5HFDE/

In late April this year, just a few weeks before the Budget, David Parker delivered a speech at Victoria University of Wellington. It was titled “Shining a light on unfairness in our tax system”. It cited Piketty and signalled a number of changes in tax policy.

Parker opened with a declaration that he had “no secret plan to introduce a CGT [capital gains tax] nor a wealth tax or a deemed income tax, nor others”. This, of course, sparked intense speculation that he did, indeed, have a secret plan to introduce a CGT or a wealth tax. Left-wing commentators cheered him on; National and Act rushed out press releases and accused Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern of breaking a promise to the electorate.

The IRD also noted that many wealthy people established charitable organisations then made large tax-deductible donations to them. However, the charities themselves made few, if any, charitable disbursements. The government has since announced changes to charities laws requiring any charitable organisation with operating expenses above $140,000 to explain any major accumulated cash, assets and other resources.

iketty is also a fan of what is known as Rhenish (or Rhine) capitalism, which has been associated with countries such as Austria, Germany and Switzerland. He would like to see employees of medium and large companies represented on the board of directors, and thus have some control over company decisions. He’d also introduce a system of egalitarian funding for political parties, think tanks and media organisations, so they aren’t overly influenced by donations from the rich. And, since the most profound form of inequality is often that between nation states, he advocates the dismantling of the current global model and a transition towards a global republic, with vast wealth transfers from the wealthy regions to the poorest citizens of the world.

This is worth the read and don’t complain to mee if you rich dudes can’t pay your way.

  6. An elderly couple made a deal that whoever died first would come back and inform the other if there is sex after death.
Their biggest fear was that there was no “after life” at all.
After a long life together, Frank was the first to die. True to his word, he made the first contact: “Kris, Kris, can you hear
    me?
    “Is that you, Frank?
“Yes, I’ve come back like we agreed.
    “That’s wonderful! What’s it like?
“Well, I get up in the morning, I have sex. I have breakfast and then it’s off to the golf course. I have sex again, bathe in the
warm sun andthen have sex a couple of more times. Then I have lunch (and Kris, you’d be proud — lots of greens). Another romp around the golf course, then pretty much have sex the rest of the afternoon. After supper,it’s back to the golf course again. Then
it’s more sex until late at night. I catch some much needed sleep and then the next day it starts all over again.
“Oh, Frank! Are you in Heaven?
“No — I’m a rabbit somewhere in Arizona.”

  11. If you want to see incompetence and a gross waste of money, then this is it.

The Old Waikato DHB and the new whateverthefuckthenewMaorinameforitis have a lot to answer for, in this gross waste of money.

Simply, here is what is happening.

On the grounds of Waikato Hospital is a purpose build modern Renal Unit. This Renal Unit services people needing Dialysis from Gisborne, Coromandel, Bay of Plenty, Waikato and as far south as National Park. It is an absolutely brilliant modern facility and is not yet 20 years old.

The new whateverthefucktheMaorinameis is going to knock this building down, along with all it’s specialist plumbing and facilities for Renal patients and build a new Mental Health Unit there.

This Mental Health Unit is to replace the existing Mental Health Unit (The Henry Bennett Centre) which is also quite modern building and within 100 metres of the existing Waikato Renal Unit for which is going to be demolished.

The whateverthefuckthenewMaorinameforitis, is then going to build a new Renal Unit with 100 metres of the reasonably new Waikato Renal Unit and install very expensive plumbing and replace the facilities that are already in existence.

The Staff at the Waikato Renal Unit are absolutely livid at this gross waste of money.

    Why is this happening.

It seems one of the Old Waikato DHB Board Members, Dave McPherson’s son committed suicide on the grounds of Waikato Hospital a few years ago and he has been pushing for this shambles.

If they wish to build a new Mental Health Unit, it would be better to build it in a quiet area away from the existing busy Waikato Hospital grounds, where it is peaceful and there is room for growth in the future and that the Mental Health patients can have the quietness they deserve. Building it on already crowded facilities and surroundings is madness in itself.

It is a disgrace. and financial incompetence to the extreme.

    • The son was found on the banks of the Waikato River iirc.

He was allowed out unsupervised but I seem to remember that he was a voluntary patient.

Dave McPherson has also been on the Hamilton City Council.

As for a placement of a new facility, away from a river would seem sensible. He is not the first to be found by the river iirc.

      14

      0

      • He was not a prisoner at the hospital, and under this system if not committed they can leave and walk about at their will, and I think Dave McPherson should never have been on the DHB, it was a conflict of interest. They did receive a payout from the DHB. Dave and his wife should have committed their son if they were so concerned. He had tried to commit suicide on previous occasions. As for the quiet, restful setting, I live close to the hospital and believe me they have singing groups and very loud shouting often, I can hear them from my house so it is VERY loud. I don’t believe it’s a peaceful setting no matter where it is.

Agree completely, especially at night, where (As noted in my 1601 reply to TAH) the ‘noises emanating’ do absolutely nothing for the peace of mind of ‘normal’ patients in the adjacent hospital buildings…

Tokanui or it’s equivalent would be a far better (and quieter) location…

          5

          0

      • Racheal, according to the Coroners Report

“Stevens failed to return from leave with a group of smokers at lunch time on March 9 and CCTV footage later showed him returning to the facility twice before disappearing down a gully toward the Waikato River.”

This Gully was on Waikato DHB grounds just behind the Renal Unit and well before the Waikato River and Cobham Drive.

        11

        0

    • TAH@0837
‘ should be completely removed from the Waikato Hospital site as the inmates are at the dangerous end of the mental health spectrum and the safety of the rest of the ‘normal’ patients within the hospital is always at risk.

Personal experience as a Hospital in-patient (no details) indicates that at night especially, inhabitants of the clinic become ‘restless’ and the noises emanating from that site are, at minimum ‘alarming’.

This of course, does absolutely nothing for the peace of mind of ‘normal’ patients in adjacent wards.

The do-gooders and self-interested (supposedly-‘caring’) members of society would of course object vociferously to any such plans, but it is very unfortunate that the old Tokanui site can’t be re-opened for the clinic’s inhabitants.

  14. Had an intersting conversation with a friend. Normally this person would be considered a bit of a crackpot, but with all the recent things going on around the world I have been taking what he says more seriously than before.
Now that the government has got the townies under their control, they are now turning their guns onto the farmers. Normally the farmers are a very individualistic bunch who take a lot of convincing to do what the govt wishes.
His latest prediction is that the government are about to introduce Foot and Mouth into the country. By doing this they will immediately stuff every farmer and bring them to their knees
Normally I would write him off as a crackpot, but given his impecable track record over the past 2 years, I fear he may be right.

      • It is widespread in Africa too. If it gets into New Zealand it will quickly become endemic since it is spread readily among all cloven hoofed animals especially pigs and cattle and even hedgehogs. Sheep act as a reservoir species too.

        9

        0

    • Then that grants massive rights to the government to invoke more “emergency powers” crises.
But particularly men with guns can be empowered to use them.
To shoot the sheep, beef & dairy cattle, and anyone who gets in the way.
Probably even to use the “emergency powers”‘ rights to seize licenced firearms owners guns & ammo as a pretext as needed for the animal cull.
Tens of millions of bullets will be needed.

Those declared “emergency” powers give the ultimate power to direct & command the general public.
It also allows that what ever may be considered needed, can be commandeered directed & used by the so called authorities.

A year or two ago I would have said nuts.

Trudeau is pushing for his farm pollution controls.
And this explains why Canadian farmers and truckers did convoys through cities in Canada in support of the big Dutch turnout of protest.

Jul 08, 2022 ….. Trudeau government’s plan to have farmers use less fertilizer hasn’t boiled over in this country like it has across the Netherlands, but it’s getting there. …..

…. the government wants to see emissions of nitrous oxide from fertilizer reduced, not they say, fertilizer use.

Farmers insist there is no difference, that the government’s moves will cause “severe economic harm” including billions lost. …..
      https://torontosun.com/opinion/columnists/lilley-farmers-feel-ignored-as-trudeau-government-pushes-them-to-reduce-emissions-as-well-as-crops-and-profits

Then again who is nuts, looking to take out the Dutch farmers, and put in a new City, that would be below sea level, relying on dykes & ongoing pumps?
Just like Auckland city, proposing a costly stadium on the water front.
All part of the Climate Change con too.

    • Ed, ive had the same discussion with many farmer folk over the past few weeks.
Pretty much most are thinking the same, that foot n mouth will be deliberately released here. The only thing in disagreeance is who is the ones to release it.
A few suggest the govt but most suspect the greeny vegan crowd will do it.

Sad thing is our farmers throughout covid showed how gullable and obedient sheep they are when it comes to obeying govt decrees.
Once a few mpi tossers get thrown on the burning pyre with the cows then theyll rethink their response but nope our pussywhipped farmers will bow down and let their herds be destroyed.
DONT LET ANY GOVT AGENCY ON YOUR PROPERTY! If you succumb to the laminated ID card of authority then you deserve your farm to be destocked

“The stronger meat of the gobbler”, as everyone has their tastes 🙂
So lots of gravy, and the turkey was munched through slowly. 🙂
For me timing is everything, to get the best of them.

Like many farmers never killed a lamb, preferring even older than hogget through to 2th ewe.
Some farm families would only do the old ewe, where you threw into the pot a stone, and when you could not figure it what it was, then it was ready.
Again a lot of gravy to be made. though add some mint. 🙂
It kept the family fed, and know wonder they wanted you to fill up on all the other veges, like silver beet.

                  • Emus were to be a lifestyle block owners dream come true. As usual those first in made the big money provided they got out in time.

People were paying thousands of dollars for birds & I heard talk of unhatched, viable eggs going for $1200 at one stage. They were always only going to be worth their meat value & that is where things eventually settled. The low cholesterol found a niche market.

But then about ten years ago new government regulations over emu killing facilities forced their closure & with no way to get a return some of the breeders simply turned their flocks out into the wild.

Hence the feral birds in Toko’s neck of the woods.

Saw a video recently taken by a driver trying to get past a mob of emus on a public road. He must of pushed them along half a km before they ducked off into the scrub.

The peacocks are probably at the stage where they need to be culled. I am seeing them on the side of the road quite frequently. A pheasant strike does not cause any damage to a car, but a fully grown peacock would be a different story. There are some who hunt them for their meat.

                • Tried wild turkeys a few times and they were terrible eating, tough and dry not even the dog ate it 🙁

Emu is beautiful but get them young, best eating is half grown when they still have their racing stripe. We used to eat it almost weekly in aussie, would go mow down 20 odd and we we eat the good ones and the rest went to dog tucker. Fun times running down emus, their eggs are good eating too but bloody hard to find.

            • Decades ago my FIL shot a wild turkey for Christmas dinner. It is still memorable for it’s meat being somewhat tough but it was its tendons like No.8 wire I mostly remember. 🦃

Beautiful roast lamb for dinner tonight on this cold and horrible winters evening. Can’t complain.

  15. I would not be at all surprised if the creature
and her communist thugs deliberately brought
foot and mouth in to NZ. They introduced a dangerous,
untested medical experiment called a ‘vaccine’.
And look how many people lined up for that.

Bringing in an animal pandemic will be a
piece of piss for those bastards. This government
is hell bent on totally destroying New Zealand.
I can’t see a way to stop them that isn’t illegal.

  17. Though the thought of eating insects doesn’t do much for Westerners accustomed to more traditional fare even if the mad anti farming brigade prevail you’ll be unlikely to be sitting down to a feed of individually fried locusts & chips.

Protein is protein is protein & what it is processed would make even a fastfood fiend, accustomed to eating shit, throw up.

An unbelievable amount of food is processed. About 25 years ago I was one of a group of cockys being given a demonstration of an extruder installed for a trial in Petone. An food extruder, if anyone is interested, is a hi-tech mincer. Whatever goes in comes out as paste. The demonstration involved recently deceased, whole, layed out chooks. The only human intervention was an assistant who guillotined the feet as the nails could jam the auger but everything else went in, feathers, beak, guts, the works. In full production the paste would have been canned, cooked & labelled.

The end product was to be chicken jelly meat for cats but the same machines can be installed on deep sea fishing trawlers & used to produce the gaudy “crab meat” or fish meal from bycatch not wanted as fillets. They have myriad uses in the food industry but some products you’ll recognise are “Ricebubbles” & the shit plastic cheese slices/wedges used in NZ sandwiches are processed from waste cheddar.

A video which gives some idea of how it works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pHiRJ25BYo

Now join the dots. Crickets > extruder > paste > starch, flavouriser, colour & filler added > marketing department > ophiomachus burger patties. 🙂

    • i think dismissing the turkey for the Extruder is where it goes wrong. 🙂
The turkey becomes very good when on good grass, through the winter before spring, 🙂
At least the turkey voids the shit.
And I at least gut & pluck it at first on its way to the oven.

Crab sticks, suremi is ok, for a nibble, but I do not make a meal of them.

      • If we really knew what goes into the food we happily fill our supermarket trolleys with then we’d eat a lot less. Some substitutions don’t go down too well when publicised. Eg. I think it was Tip Top which was then owned by General Foods let slip that they were considering reconstituted mutton fat to replace milk solids in their ice cream. The idea went down like a lead balloon with the buying public.

Or the caterer who confided to me the secret of making a profitable paua pattie. Heaps of mashed potato, 5% paua including guts & silverbeet for colour.

We eat with our eyes & savour with pictures on packets……not our taste buds.

        • A good mince patty binds better with about a 1/3 mashed potato, then add some eggs plus your herbs, oxo etc..

Not sure how they can remove the mutton fat flavour for icecream, though the processors will have tricks of the trade.
I support McDonalds, when they are on tap with the lamb burgher, but it sure can taste lamby. 🙂
I figure that is why McDonalds in part do it only occasionally and of course just where the lamb schedule is at.

The Angus burghers are great, I support those.
It was surprising to see that the farmers supplying the black Angus, get a 10 cent premium for a minimum line of 10, and great to see that flow to a farmer; about $30 extra per beast.

My McDonalds visits are few & far between.

Probably recall that Beef Tallow years ago was at one stage worth more than the meat on a beast.
          Making fat cattle very profitable.
Unfortunately the plantations of palm oil put paid to that.
Yet the burning off of the “waste” was figured as a good protein feed for NZ dairy cows, though other countries are chasing that now too.
Though some how if too much that does some sort of change to the milk, so Fonterra, once all for it, then figured out limits to what a dairy cow intakes is ok.

    • While watching the Sheeple IQ test, this video came up as one to watch next..
Short and well worth the time…the point that the lovely presenter makes is that any processed food is going to contain preservatives. The cricket patties etc are going to be packed full of the stuff..

    • Eaten fried bugs in south east Asia. Actually tasted better than their efforts at cooking a steak. I only order steaks, in non steak eating places, for a laugh.

The Kea party will complete the excellent work of Pol Pot. But with Nazi efficiency.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries in nearby towns but residents were advised to evacuate.

Japan’s Meteorological Agency said Sakurajima volcano erupted at around 8.05pm Sunday (local time) blowing off large rocks as far as 2.5km away in the southern prefecture of Kagoshima.

      • The last time National attempted honesty was In 1959 when Keith Holyoake spelled out National’s core beliefs:

“The National Party believes in a property-owning democracy. … We believe in the maximum degree of personal freedom and the maximum degree of individual choice for our people. We believe in the least interference necessary with individual rights, and the least possible degree of state interference”.

It’s been all downhill since then.

Oh fuck , my neighbor has a family member who works on the wharf at Marsden point, at this moment NZ has 9 / 10 days of fuel left (91) that wouldn’t be bad but he’s also reporting that through his office work he says there is no fuel inbound for at least 14 to 16 days, meanwhile the Indians are up there dissasembleing the cheapest oil refinery in history to take back to India and use it to refine Putins budget priced crude.
God we are so fricking lucky to have such an efficient clown car of a government running the Country. Yeeeeeee Haaaaa.

I have been suggesting to my fellow farmers that this will likely be the case by Christmas (if not before) and Federated Fuck Wits think the Govt. is imposing adequate measures to avoid it’s introduction. If FJA doesn’t bring it in I’m sure a disgruntled Green Party member will be having the same thoughts. Bon @12.26 I can’t see a way to stop them that isn’t illegal . There isn’t any other way except illegal means but we need several hundred thousand on the same page .

  23. Former Green MPs have also been critical.

“Our Government, led by James as Minister, has been shown not to be reducing emissions, not to have ambitious mandatory targets, but to actually be weak,” former Green MP Catherine Delahunty said earlier on Monday.

“You have to remember you’re in the Green Party – you’re not here to placate Labour and necessarily stay in power for the sake of it,” Delahunty said.

Former MP and lapsed Green Party member Gareth Hughes also doubted Shaw had made much difference as Climate Change Minister.

“It’s debatable that the trajectory has shifted and we’ll only know if that’s true looking in the rear-view mirror but it’s clear right now New Zealand isn’t doing enough to reduce emissions,” Hughes said.

  25. Why do people in the publis service in high places tell bare faced lies.
Now here’s a little story. to tell it is a must.
About a homeless family and how how kainga Ora betrays their trust.

Basically the house was empty from the 7th of June. This family was in dire straights so with the assistance of a housing group who knew the house , broke into the house for somewhere to live. KO was there in no time claiming it was being tested for Meth.

Now the family gained access to the house on the 13th of July a 35 days later and here’s where the lies begin.,

KPO told them it was being meth tested.
Well I just had one of my rental houses tested and it took 3 working days. Not 35.

The housing assistance group knew the house and in their view there wasn’t even a reason to meth test it.

Ngarimu said his team were unaware the house was contaminated when the family moved in but knew the history of the place and believed there was “no way” it was a cookhouse.

So that leaves a piss poor senior, well paid and overly comfortable Gisborne leader of KO with some explaining to do about their (her) lack of systems and care. Care that is full of empty words.

Did anyone with kick arse authority ever ask?

I venture to say that if it was me I would know off the top of my head the state and availability of every house that came empty. But they don’t care despite their pay grade.

  26. and here comes the next lot of bullshit.

School attendance rates for term 1 plummeted below 50 per cent – the lowest in at least a decade, as the Omicron outbreak ripped through communities.

Record low levels of school attendance hit Māori and Pasifika hardest with fewer than a third of those populations attending school regularly (attending more than 90 per cent of the time).

    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/covid-19-omicron-school-attendance-rates-plummet-below-50-per-cent/IKDM6GBTMBLKXXAW2WA6X4DSPY/

The latest Ministry of Education data showed overall 46.1 per cent of all students were attending school regularly.

    • They don’t make school pupils the way they used to. During my primary school days we attended school regardless of sickness as my mother wanted her six hours without us under her feet. Then at boarding school legend had it that no-one had been excused classes because of ill health since 1907.

It was the cold showers, poor food & regular caning that made us what we were. 🙂
