    • And Viking, if it wasn’t for National, Transmission Gully would not have been built and Wellingtonians would have been stuck, particularly with the Rimutuka’s likey to suffer the same fate as Pukekura Bay.

If it was up to Cindy & Labour Transmission Gully would not even be considered.

  2. Dave and Pete were a couple of drinking buddies who worked as aircraft engineers in Darwin, Australia .
One day the airport was fogged in and they were stuck in the hangar with nothing to do.
Dave said, ‘Man, I wish we had something to drink!’
Pete says, ‘Me too. Y’know, I’ve heard you can drink jet fuel and get a buzz.
    You wanna try it?’
So they pour themselves a couple of glasses of high octane booze and get completely smashed.
The next morning Dave wakes up and is surprised at how good he feels.
In fact he feels GREAT! NO hangover! NO bad side effects.
    Nothing!
Then the phone rings. It’s Pete.
Pete says, ‘Hey, how do you feel this morning?’
Dave says, ‘I feel great, how about you?’
Pete says, ‘I feel great, too. You don’t have a hangover?’
Dave says, ‘No that jet fuel is great stuff — no hangover, nothing. We ought to do this more often..’
‘ Yeah, well there’s just one thing.’
    ‘What’s that?’
    ‘Have you farted yet?’
    ‘No.’
    ‘Well, DON’T – ’cause I’m in New Zealand ‘🀣🀣🀣

    • Peters is a great orator and in many areas he’s often right on the money. I also hear that he’s very personable on a one-to-one level.

But I will NEVER forgive him for what he did in gifting our country to a cabal of incompetent racist communist ecofucks. Never.

Eurokiwi and AH —you may never forgive WP for going with Labour and that is fine but you cannot let it grind your thinking about WP, down. I have not agreed with him on many issues (ie. I’m not a supporter overall) but I respect or at least do not ignore his political street cunning abilities.
He is probably one of the only Kiwis who has the ability to say and get away with what he said about Willie Jackson. The MSM would attempt to crush anyone else.

  6. Didn’t see this coming.
    Cullens folly.

New Crown company to take over Kiwibank, as NZ Post and ACC want out
The Government has agreed to buy Kiwibank from state-owned shareholders who want out.

The Government will acquire 100 per cent of Kiwibank and NZ Home Loans’ parent company, Kiwi Group Holdings, if the transaction gets Reserve Bank approval.

KGH is 53 per cent owned by New Zealand Post, 25 per cent by the New Zealand Superannuation Fund, and 22 per cent by the Accident Compensation Corporation.

Finance Minister Grant Robertson said an ongoing shareholding in Kiwibank did not fit NZ Post’s and ACC’s long-term strategic and investment plans.

“NZ Super Fund had been interested in purchasing a majority holding in KGH, but withdrew its interest as it did not align with the Government’s commitment to public and New Zealand ownership.”

  7. Yangtze shrinks as China’s drought disrupts industry
    21 Aug, 2022 02:00 PM

Ships crept down the middle of the Yangtze on Friday after China’s driest summer in six decades left one of the mightiest rivers barely half its normal width and set off a scramble to contain the damage to a weak economy in a politically sensitive year.

Factories in Sichuan province and the adjacent metropolis of Chongqing in the southwest were ordered to shut down after reservoirs that supply hydropower fell to half their normal levels and demand for air conditioning surged in scorching temperatures.

River ferries in Chongqing that usually are packed with sightseers were empty and tied to piers beside mudflats that stretched as much as 50 meters (50 yards) from the normal shoreline to the depleted river’s edge. Smaller ships sailed down the middle of the Yangtze, one of China’s biggest trade channels, but no large cargo ships could be seen.

Normally bustling streets were empty after temperatures hit 45 degrees Celsius (113 degrees Fahrenheit) in Chongqing on Thursday. State media said that was the hottest in China outside the desert region of Xinjiang in the northwest since official records began in 1961.

“We cannot live through this summer without air conditioning,” said Chen Haofeng, 22, who was taking pictures of the exposed riverbed. “Nothing can cool us down.”

  8. A woman decides she wants to get a tattoo and goes down town to a run down area where she finds the tattoo shop. After looking at all the tattoos she can’t decide if she wants Elvis on the inside of her thigh or James dean so she says I will just get them both one on each thigh. So after hours she is all done and can’t wait to get home so she can look in her own mirror to see what they look like . As she is walking to her car she See’s a drunk passed out in an alley way.
So she walks over to the drunk and nudged the old guy with her high heels and when he wakes up she hikes up her dress and shows him the the tattoo of elvis on the inside of her thigh and says β€œ do you know who this is ‘?’
The bum says β€œ er uh nope” so a little disappointed she once again hikes her dress up and says β€œhow about this one β€œ showing him the tattoo of James dean.
The bum say β€œ er uh nope but I know that guy in the middle is Willy Nelson β€œ

    • I note the bitch runs a bloody mile when Ryan asked her if they’d provide the slides from the course.
LIsten at 7’10”. You know when she repeats a question, that she’s trying to give herself space to work out how to divert. Then she fucks up by saying she wasn’t there. Then she works out that her not being there has nothing to do with producing the slides, and somehow manages to make the topic about naming individuals.
      She is pure scum.

  10. Did anyone hear the train wreck interview by the Bitch from the teachers Council? There are 1100 vacancies in the gazette at the moment. The only people applying for primary school jobs are overseas, or ECE teachers, and many of these are immigrants. Forcing the Te Reo angle will further dessimate the teaching profession. Schools in Auckland havemajor immigrant components, many who are not even that proficient in Engish, or have very hard to understand accents. But te reo has to be mastered. Fucking moron.

  13. Great news… NOT …. Peter McCullough is one of the authors. Yes, its a preprint. But this was a concern raised ages ago.

    https://www.authorea.com/users/455597/articles/582067-sars-cov-2-spike-protein-in-the-pathogenesis-of-prion-like-diseases

“Human prion protein and prion-like protein misfolding are widely recognized as playing a causal role in a large and growing number of neurodegenerative diseases. Here we summarize the compelling evidence that the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 contains extended amino acid sequences previously established as characteristic of a prion-like protein. This suggests that vaccine-induced spike protein production is synonymous with production of a prion-like protein, and we trace some of the various pathways through which these proteins should be expected to traverse and distribute throughout the body. We describe some of the highly concerning biological consequences that would be expected to occur with increased frequency as a consequence. Specifically, we describe spike-protein contribution, via its prion-like properties, to neuroinflammation and neurodegenera-tive diseases; to clotting disorders within the vasculature; to suppressed prion protein regulation in the context of widely prevalent insulin resistance; and other health complications it could be expected to induce. We explain why these prion-like characteristics are more relevant to vaccine-related mRNA-induced spike proteins than natural infection with SARS-CoV-2. We conclude with some potentially ominous public health implications and recommendations for investigations of these possibilities.”

Lastly, Prion Like diseases include Mad Cow Disease….. Thanks Pfiser and Fauci, you idiots.

    • Waiting for the Barbarians
By Constantine Cavafy (1864-1933), translated by Edmund Keeley

What are we waiting for, assembled in the forum?

The barbarians are due here today.

Why isn’t anything happening in the senate?
Why do the senators sit there without legislating?

Because the barbarians are coming today.
What laws can the senators make now?
Once the barbarians are here, they’ll do the legislating.

Why did our emperor get up so early,
and why is he sitting at the city’s main gate
on his throne, in state, wearing the crown?

Because the barbarians are coming today
and the emperor is waiting to receive their leader.
He has even prepared a scroll to give him,
replete with titles, with imposing names.

Why have our two consuls and praetors come out today
wearing their embroidered, their scarlet togas?
Why have they put on bracelets with so many amethysts,
and rings sparkling with magnificent emeralds?
Why are they carrying elegant canes
beautifully worked in silver and gold?

Because the barbarians are coming today
and things like that dazzle the barbarians.

Why don’t our distinguished orators come forward as usual
to make their speeches, say what they have to say?

Because the barbarians are coming today
and they’re bored by rhetoric and public speaking.

Why this sudden restlessness, this confusion?
(How serious people’s faces have become.)
Why are the streets and squares emptying so rapidly,
everyone going home so lost in thought?

Because night has fallen and the barbarians have not come.
And some who have just returned from the border say
there are no barbarians any longer.

And now, what’s going to happen to us without barbarians?
They were, those people, a kind of solution.

  17. On the Kiwibank thing.

Being govt owned it will borrow at very low rates through bond channels, and lend only to the weak, woke, weird, woeful woofters who are already slurping up our taxes. Rates will be favourable compared to other banks but try getting a loan, especially if you’re not moori.

    14

    • Yes they will ‘grant’ loans based on the ESG , Enviroment Social, Governance, and based on the 17 UN SDG Social Development Goals.

For example setting up Plant nurseries, not only being native plants, but to be entirely run by and worked & organized by the indigenous. Profit? Taxes? and the loans turned into “Grants”.

The business will be a sort of a “success” as it will have a form of compulsion via Local, Regional, Water, Conservation Bodies to follow those regulatory guidelines to all farmers, land-holders, etc. to plant to be compliant for the clip-board tick-boxers.

Any other normal nursery business has to compete, and comply, like in meritless diversity of inclusion or risk “you have a nice business there” for the moment.

    • I was just talking to a friend about the top of the south situation and made a similar point about the forestry guys with their “slash”. They should be forced to clear it in the same way the miners have to reclaim the land.
It is a big problem around Gisborne when it rains and from he tells me the same has occurred with this event.(he lives near Ria Valley) The machinery is available to crunch it all up —they could make money out of it , selling it to the stupid Poms for burning in the Drax power station (//) or closer to home sell it to the woke Fonterra guys for their boilers.
