    • Blow it sky-high with all occupants inside and claim insurance. Arrogant gimmegrants are a plague on Europe. Aren’t we glad we’re at least too far away from anywhere to get hoodlums in shitty boats floating up on the beach!

      • The worrying bit was where he refused to call the police who then stated they wouldn’t be treating the matter with urgency thats some scary shit right there dont know about blowing it up these animals would probably burn it before leaving anyway (thats the Murica coming out in you) a few late night visits with a bunch of well armed mates might do the trick either way violence is definitely the only answer im sure its the only thing they understand besides whats benefits they are entitled to

    • This won’t be the end it,it will be seen as the Government being to weak with Maori getting their way over big business, the people that miss out are those wanting housing so how it going to fix that. What the Maori King will achieve is to drive another wedge between European and Maori and create more land grabs.

        • Who would go stay there?

Former Treaty Negotiations Minister Chris Finlayson, who successfully negotiated 59 deals in nine years, on Thursday said Ardern had done the right thing in not getting involved. He suggested the protesters take their case to Tainui, who could easily afford to buy the land off Fletcher.

Chris, the PM was involved. She stopped the development and gave the protesters enough airtime to get this done.

“You could get an appropriate Novotel there, beautiful open space. Someone suggested it could be a golf course… Open space, beautiful piece of land. What better than having 18 holes before you jump on the Emirates flight to Dubai?”

He’s taking the piss, surely. Although, I suppose with enough cash greasing palms we’ll soon hear how Ihumātao was a historic wheat field only as a means to hide the more historic use as a golf course from early European settlers.

        • I aplogise if I am totally wrong,Comment on the post from Duncan Garners comment, but I thought they wanted the land back for a park/reserve? Didn’t want anyone to build on it? Did they just want it back for Tainui to do what ever they wanted to do on it??? Please give that a little thought. Actually I did not think Fletchers was a part of Maori sorting the problem as Duncan said or was reported as saying.

          0

    • Fletchers saw the writing on the wall and got the fuck out while the going is good, they are just the latest in a line of businesses that have learnt the hard way that you cannot go into business/partnership with Iwi.

    • Actually, reading that “article” doesn’t confirm anything.

The standoff at Ihumātao in south Auckland could be over, with Tainui set to buy the land.

Set to buy, to me, means they will.

Newshub understands Fletchers is willing to sell the land

So Fletchers is willing to sell.

He suggested the protesters take their case to Tainui, who could easily afford to buy the land off Fletcher

But Chris Finlayson says they need to take their case to Tainui?

And it took Delphine Herbert and Dan Satherley to write 274 words of fluff?

    • So I assume the people who benefit from the $$$ will never again need state assistance? Ha ha. What MORON gives up 40 free houses you could rent out for $800 a week each and make a damn fortune. Then we get bombarded daily about “poor Maori” stories….

      0

      0

      • Yeah like a bunch of money hungry neo-capitalists like Tainui are just going to let that $40m they are purportedly shelling out just sit there idly. There’s more to play on this because it would be different if it was Maori building on there…..

  1. How can the media wait over a month and then report another Minister in the Government has used his job to abuse others by swearing at airport staff for not being able to board his plane to the Hawkes Bay for not being there on time. When will Labour and the media learn that coving up abuse whether sexual assault like happen in the Prime Ministers office or abuse of staff
should not be tolerated or covered up as the public don’t get the same priviledge and would automatically be charged,so what’s good for the goose should also apply to the gander.

I am getting sick of this Government’s blatant regard to rules of the law and neglect of peoples right so why is our Police force ignoring these crimes committed by our Government.

    0

    0

    • If you or I said “for fucks sake” in front of a staff member, because we were refused to board a flight we were ontime for, I doubt we would be charged.

Nash is a dick and he seems to have anger issues, but that feels a bit like a storm in a teacup to me.

      • Yes I agree but look at it this way he is the Police Minister and it was illegal to do what Jacinda and Labour have done in two Sex Assault happening already the Young L abour Summer Camp saga and the Sexual Assault out of the PM’s office so there appears to be a law for Politicians and a law for the public which is not right.

        0

        0

        • There definitely is separate laws. I’d go so far as to say, a different law for politicians, their friends and family and sports people than to the public. Doesn’t change the fact that the article is really a bit big girls’ blousy, to me. That Air NZ staff member needs to go cuddle their safety blanket and take a week of stress leave. It’ll be allright.

      • 62% for “no confidence” at 9.08am.

I hear that Mike Bush will be issuing a statement to confirm that “none of the people voting for no confidence in the Police will be investigated” while drinking a Tui.

Joking aside. Peter Hughes needs to front up about this issue. This is a major issue for his responsibilities under the State Sector Act. First in the list of his responsibilities is:
        (a) Promoting the spirit of service to the community62% no confidence says there is no “spirit of service to the community” evident in the NZ Police

As usual with everything to do with Marxists, they’ve irreparably broken something that took generations to build. Commissioner Bush needs to stand down immediately.

    • To have to report in 30 minutes before departure when one has no luggage is ridiculous. If a taxi driver tried that trick I would respond just as Nash did. Flying from Napier to Wellington is a glorified taxi service.

One wonders how much taxpayers money is poured into Jacinda’s instagram account
This photo was taken at Walk ethical, since 14 August 2019 it has had 31 likes on Walk Ethical insta post.
Identical photo on Ms Arderns Instagram feed, since 10 August 39,610 likes.
Is any tax payer money spent on manipulating and mantaining the PM’s personal media accounts?
Media accounts are now attracting millions of dollars in funds to be utilised in morphing public opinion.
A brief glance at these likes clearly show manipulation of likes through Algorithm manipulation.
How much tax payer funds are spent on these private media account, zero one would hope is the the answer.

  5. Warning: This post is my opinion, and yes I have 25 years of work experience and evidence to confirm what I’m writing.

We are at the start of the silly season. Council elections. Many of you will be aware of DPF’s campaigns/posts against the WRC and why. Guess what? People who live and vote in the Devonport/Takapuna and Glenfield areas of Auckland’s North Shore, there are two incumbent councillors who have influence over Auckland public transport and should not be re-elected . The recent campaigning (as evidenced by what the councillor was reported to having said in an article published in the NZ Herald) about ferry services is based on half truths and lies. What the councillor is proposing will not improve ferry services and will cost Aucklanders significant sums of money for services that are commercially viable and do not receive public subsidies at present.

These people are a clear and present danger to Auckland’s financial position.

    0

    0

        • Because they are Exempt commercial services, they must register their services with AT, but there is no subsidy and no oversight by AT. They are obliged to meet maritime laws though.

          The services concerned are:
          Auckland – Devonport (Fullers);
          Auckland – Waiheke (Fullers);
Half Moon Bay – Waiheke (SeaLink).

These services are all commercially viable and receive no subsidy.

There are 8 contracted daily ferry services (Mon-Fri) with some of them with weekend services. These services are AT procured and paid for services.

The said councillor talked about turning the Devonport and Waiheke services into PTOM services as the way to fix services. That is bul****t!

A PTOM contract is a gross operating contract, whereby AT owns the service concession, keeps the revenue risk and procures the services of an operator to provide the vessels and crew to provide the service. Previously, the free contracts have been a combination of net contracts (the revenue risk is with the operator and the cost of the service is topped up by subsidy) and gross contracts (as described above).

The issue is not the operators (of which there are 3 in Auckland), it is other matters which include:
          1. Passengers want cheaper fares – but what the councillor is not saying is, it is AT who set the fares other than to Waiheke;
          2. Many of the vessels being used on Auckland ferry services are reaching an age where they need replacement and AT’s existing contracts do not provide enough to replace the vessels;
          3. Demands for additional services means operators do not have vessels out of service for sufficient time to carry out necessary maintenance;
          4. AT tendered for its ferry contracts in 2016 using the PTOM model – let us say, the results were a dismal failure and the said councillor says this is the model to follow…he doesn’t know what he is talking about and he is repeating verbiage fed to him by AT executives.

Long answer, but the reality is that politicians and bureaucrats are not the best people to procure/manage PT services.

    Two things
The 6 million jews (even if it was less than that) is not a tiny number.
The other thing is that the jews were actually targeted and the camps were constructed specifically to kill them.
The Russian casualties were army firing the Germans and local civilians killed and starved by the Germans and killed by the Russian communists.
Its was similar with the Chinese losses.
Most of the German casualties were military and civilian losses caused by bombing etc.

I agree with you about the left media sticking up for muslims.
As regards muslims, it is what I see on tv and in international media and here that influence my dislike of muslims. And my knowledge of history.
Especially muslims that come to the west.
It is their religion and laws that I despise the most.

Any examples of muslims being peaceful would be laughed at by me.

All Black Head Coach Steve Hansen has announced that NZ Police officers will no longer be considered for senior rugby positions as they can’t hold onto anything.
    Rifles, cars, pistols, prisoners.

Mr Hansen said that it important to hold onto these things and maintain possession.
Mr Hansen added that as a former police officer himself this is a disappointing thing to announce but needs must.

  16. Fallout and loss from Fletchers not building 480 houses at Ihumatao – if the rumour is correct.
    >Nearly 500 houses not built.
    >No employment for the building of local roading; electricians; plumbers, plasterers, builders, roofers, delivery people etc
    >No future rates on nearly 500 dwellings for Auckland Council. No contribution to infrastructure.
Lets assume average property rates of $2500 x 480 = $1.2 million rates pa.
and a 60 year life of the buildings = $72,000,000 of future rates lost.

So not only has the COL allowed unemployed thugs to bully their way into this destruction, that is a deficit of a further 500 houses.
The land is removed from a decent option to house people because of superstitious whiners that pretty much don’t even contribute to the economy.
It is not like they will be built elsewhere. Up in a puff of smoke.

    Lawlessness prevails.
I guess when you have the police minister swearing at staff at the airport,
Mega Fightery giving the bash to staff,
along with sexual deviants parading the corridors of NZs law-making body things are pretty grim.
Tuvalu is starting to look well run right now.

Kiwibuild was enough of a cock up and then they chuck this in and call it a ‘year of delivery’.
This Labour outfit with Ardern, Davis, Little, Lees Galloway, Nash, Woods, Hipkins, Herr Doktor Clark and special mention for the special needs Twyford goes beyond useless.
    It is destructive.

And, for everyone who ticks up, they get a packet of seeds.
If you comment affirming their policies you get to share a lime scooter ride with Two mums and Genter.
If you vote for them you get a thermos filled with melted popsicles and a horse shaped key ring.
If they win you get nothing.
    Choose wisely.
