A magnitude 4.5 earthquake has occurred near Muswellbrook, NSW, Australia.
Seismology Research Centre
A 4.5-magnitude earthquake has rumbled across the NSW Hunter region at a depth of about 5km early on Saturday morning.
More than 800 people across Sydney and NSW reporting the quake that struck about 6am to Geoscience Australia.
There have been multiple aftershocks around the epicentre near Muswellbrook, where 2748 places are reportedly suffering power outages.
Geoscience Australia senior seismologist Trevor Allen told ABC the quake was felt outside the Hunter region.
