    • Todays obsession will probably be tony alexander and some property thing the seething green thing will be either stewing over or excited about, but the indian forever renter that ended up ignoring his own ideology and buying a house will forever be a complete joke. The guy shouldve been ditched then and there but for some reason nz media still give him oxygen.

      • No one is envious of you tragic losers. You live in a bubble of denial, lies and relentless insecurity. It’s nothing to do with your financial situation- it’s your diseased mentality.

You know nothing of my personal circumstances but they are totally irrelevant. My comments are based on market data, not individuals. They concern the country socially and economically. Not a pathetic dick measuring contest.

Your reactions to impersonal facts reveal things about you and I’m very confident in telling you that decent folk are more likely to feel pity than envy.

  1. Well, for a start I hate clowns I am frightened of them as you never know what is underneath all that makeup. But yes they are possibly all following the mad bitch and the ginger midget and the mad doctor who used to be on the POT each day scaring the bejesus out of everyone, present company accepted.. When you think about it in reality the shit they spoke was unbelievable and the masses fell for it. Jesus and all the other deities wept and keep on weeping at the stupidity around even today. People still wearing masks, people angry about stupid Karen I am offended shit, lawlessness, trans shit. It’s all bigger than us we may as well give it up and stop the fight against this corrupt shitty parliament. As long as we can still vent on YSB we will be OK, keep our sanity and comment on the ridiculousness of life in the 2020s. People that stand for parliament are all the same after lining their own pockets for life. Live your own lives as best you can, getting on with what ever you can, in the best way you can.

  2. Tech giant Google has been ordered to hand over the IP address and details of a person accused of emailing defamatory allegations about a Labor election candidate in Australia.

On Nov. 9 last year, during the Victorian state election, an individual sent an email (from the address: davidjonesaus18@gmail.com) about Nurul Khan to ministers and news organisations.

Following this, Mr. Khan was disendorsed by the Labor Party before the Nov. 26 election, where he was running as an Upper House candidate for the Western Metropolitan region.

The email accused Mr. Khan of corruption and that he had to pay fines for unethical conduct—Mr. Khan is a legal practitioner.

His barrister, Justin Castelan, called the email contents “absolutely defamatory” in the Federal Court of Australia on July 11.

Mr. Castelan sought an order for Google to hand over the details of the email sender.

Representatives for the tech giant were not present and instead sent a proposed order for the judge to consider.

Justice Catherine Button ordered Google to provide the subscriber registration information from the account and the email address’s IP logins before or on Nov. 9.

Another hearing has been arranged to see if Mr. Khan can continue with his defamation action.

He has previously accused Labor Party insiders of potential involvement to oust him from the candidacy—in Australia, intra-party preselections can often be tightly fought contests between rival factions.

“I am still fighting for justice because it was definitely unfair for me,” he told The Australian newspaper.

Victorian Sen. Ralph Babet said Mr. Khan was entitled to sue for defamation but said the issue around user privacy was more challenging.

“I believe that there are certain circumstances whereby the identification of emailer is justified, for example, a direct threat to one’s life,” he said in a statement to The Epoch Times.

“We must all remember that when one signs up to a global tech platform, anonymity is by no means guaranteed. Our digital footprint remains,” Mr. Babet said.

“We must face reality, in the modern world, we often choose to surrender privacy in the pursuit of a little convenience.”
Governments Pressuring Tech Giants on ‘Harmful Content’

The move to make social media companies more accountable for harmful content or “disinformation” is well underway globally.

Are Vegetable Oils Killing Us? We Swapped Them in for Animal Fats 50 Years Ago
    Vital Signs Vital Signs

    Brendon Fallon

Our switch from cooking with animal fats, like butter, to cooking with vegetable oils runs back more than fifty years. It was thought that this would lower cholesterol and the rate of heart attacks.

Has switching to vegetable oils benefited our health overall or is the trend going the other way?

Dr. Joseph Mercola says that “sugar is not intrinsically evil…, however, seed oil is.” Dr. Mercola is a natural health physician and doctor of osteopathy who writes extensively on body detoxification.

What is the hidden number one source of seed oil (aka vegetable oil) in our diets?

“A lot of health experts believe that…lowering the sugar is the way to get healthy…” says Dr. Mercola.

“But when you look at almost all processed foods, there’s a lot more seed oils and there is sugar.”

What does research over recent years signal about vegetable and seed oils and cancer?

On #Vitalsigns with Brendon Fallon we ask, ‘is vegetable oil killing us?’

    https://www.theepochtimes.com/are-vegetable-oils-killing-us-we-swapped-them-in-for-animal-fats-50-years-ago_5391966.html?ea_med=desktop_etv&tmp=1&ea_src=ai_recommender

  4. Obmama Strikes again.
Did he take 10% as well?

The U.S. Supreme Court responded to investigative claims that Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s staffers pressured colleges to buy her books over the years amid reports that she amassed millions of dollars in net worth since she was named to the high court more than a decade ago.

A report published Tuesday by The Associated Press said it obtained new details about her team’s efforts through open records requests to public institutions, said that Mrs. Sotomayor’s staff has often prodded public institutions that have hosted the justice to buy her memoir as well as her children’s books since she joined the Supreme Court in 2009.

According to the AP’s report, those documents reveal repeated examples of taxpayer-funded court staff performing tasks for the justice’s book ventures, which workers in other branches of government are barred from doing. Supreme Court staffers have been deeply involved in organizing speaking engagements intended to sell books, those documents revealed.

Since she was named to the Supreme Court by former President Barack Obama, Mrs. Sotomayor earned some $3.7 million through her children’s books or other works. Another report noted that before she joined, the justice had investments worth between $50,001 and $115,000, but as of 2021, public records indicate she’s now worth about $1.5 million and $6.1 million. Currently, associate members of the high court earn $285,400 annually.

In 2019, as Mrs. Sotomayor traveled the country to promote her new children’s book, “Just Ask!,” library and community college officials in Portland, Oregon, jumped at the chance to host an event, the AP report said. Staffers put in long hours and accommodated the shifting requests of Mrs. Sotomayor’s court staff.

Then, as the public cost of hosting the event soared almost tenfold, a Mrs. Sotomayor aide emailed with a different, urgent concern: She said the organizers did not buy enough copies of the justice’s book, which attendees had to purchase or have on hand in order to meet Mrs. Sotomayor after her talk, according to the report.

    https://www.theepochtimes.com/supreme-court-issues-rare-statement-on-justice-sonia-sotomayor-allegations_5392804.html?ea_med=desktop_etv&tmp=1&ea_src=ai_recommender

More in that story of course but a couple of things stood out fro me. Not that she did this ,it seems to be normal these days but the salaries they get paid for being the highest court in a land the size of America.

Our guys get paid double that as do our pollies and no one here would say the many of our pollies don’t indulge in similar practices or worse.

That allowing Judges to be appointed for ever terms and the results that bring seems to be a norma for entrenching the politic speak. e.g. in our case the 3 Strikes law and how Judges follow one another down a trail, each watering down what was intended by the Parliament rather than going back to the parliament to make the Law better.
That surely should be the way to go.

  5. So you own a house in Victoria or NSW. Cry baby cry. Ya getting sucked dry. \More Melbonians going North to the coast.

Victorian homeowners will be hit with the heaviest property tax in Australia from the 2023-2024 financial year onward as the state Labor government carries out its COVID-19 debt repayment plan.

According to a new report by the Victorian Parliamentary Budget Office, Victorians will need to pay an estimated property tax (land transfer duty plus land tax) of $2,000 (US$1,336) per person in the current financial year, followed by New South Wales (NSW) and Queensland residents at around $1,800 and $1,300, respectively.

In addition, Victoria’s property tax per capita is expected to soar to $2,400 by 2026-2027, while other states and territories will only see slight changes.

By 2025-2026, Victoria is forecasted to generate the highest property tax revenue among the jurisdictions at $16,4 billion, of which $8.8 billion will come from land transfer duty and the remaining from land tax.

The report also found that Victoria would continue to be the most dependent on property tax in the coming years, with 17 percent of the state’s total revenue expected to derive from property tax by 2025-2026.

In comparison, NSW will rank second at around 14 percent, while other jurisdictions will be below 10 percent.

“Victoria is expected to rely more heavily on property taxes to generate revenue than any other state,” the report stated.

    • Strange actions for someone who is innocent. I have seen lots of this behaviour from guilty people who go on the attack when confronted, and it’s an attempt to deflect attention. (And guess what, they were mostly Maori women)The manager of the store should have stuck to their original actions and said that the bracelet went missing after she had looked at it, and the trespass would stand.
But no, now she is the victim and the store where the bracelet has been stolen from is the bad guys.

    • The other week the Mrs and I were talking with our daughter. If Labour win in October we will seriously look at moving to Queensland. The daughter is 2nd University and is worried about the racist shit she’s been seeing in her course. Thankfully the years of teaching her how to think means she can see what it is, and she’s really worried for the future.
I have about 20 years or more of my working like left in me, and I’ll be happy to get a job cleaning up toilets if it means I don’t have to live under the leftist shit fest of a disaster of a government.

      • Brian, my wife and I constantly question our wisdom of moving back to this country 6 years ago from Queensland. I can tell you, there are plenty of good jobs there. I ran a Super Yacht Painting business there with a staff of 80, a job I was head hunted for after working part time for a Yacht Chandlery business. Work is easy to come by if you have any gumption and are willing to work. The only drawback is rude Australians. Otherwise, I can not think many negatives.

Having said that there are some beautiful small towns up that way say 3 hrs north of Brisbane with plenty of work and very good value housing. 500K gets you something pretty smick and the weather is generally stunning.

Also a minimalist who rents btw. He puts his money into making money. Seems to be working and he lives a life others could only dream about. Started from nothing. Just the sort of person we need, but it was too hard here socially for him as we declined into Ardernism.

    • Have been listening to Talkback today. First time I have ever heard caller after caller saying they are off to Aussie. Some are holding off until the election to see which way the election goes. The big worry was the number of small business owners who are closing their businesses and starting fresh in the Lucky Country. One reason for their move was the new minimum wage rates and the raft of regulations the government has introduced. Labour were warned, but the pricks didn’t listen.

      • I agree. I think this chap just wanted to get out jury service. I have always thought I would do similar if I was selected and the case involved self defence. I was going to tell the judge my mind is made up and that everyone is entitled to defend themselves against scumbags… so, not guilty. In light of the above I may have to rethink that strategy.

        8

        0

    • Fair enough, most are guilty to be honest, if they come before the judge and with a jury trial you would have to think they are guilty. The police go easy on them and most do not even make it to trial.

  7. At least Seymour and ACT have the balls to call out the Racism openly displayed by The Maori Party.

I note such exposure of the Racism shown by Rawiri Waititi and The Maori Party is not exposed by Hipkins and the Labour Party, The Greens or Luxon and the national Party. I can only assume therefore, they all agree with The Maori Party’s continued Racism.

The latest science curriculum will make us the least educated country on the planet, with the fundamentals of science removed completely.
Fundamental concepts in physics are missing. Gravity, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, mass and motion are missing. Chemistry has been disseminated. There is nothing about atomic structure, the periodic table of the elements, compounds or molecular bonding.
Where are our Kiwi doctors and scientists going to come from? This is a deliberate destruction of our education system. Our young people are economic guardians of the future. It’s time we go back to teaching the fundamental basics in education and not ideological-driven content.

‘Where are our Kiwi doctors and scientists going to come from? This is a deliberate destruction of our education system’ They aren’t going to come from anywhere since all this is exactly (deliberately) in line with the NWO ‘You will have nothing and be happy’ diktat, with the ‘educated’ (knowing nothing, and caring less) being very willing slaves to that system.

Give the prols bread and circuses and you will always have their undivided loyalty and attention.

  19. A Dog named Sex
Folks generally aren’t very creative in choosing names for their dogs.
That’s why there are so many named Rover and Spot.
But, have you heard the plight of the bloke who thought he’d be cute and named his dog Sex?
    It goes like this:
“One day Sex and I took a walk and he ran away from me. I spent hours looking for that dog. A policeman came by and asked what I was doing in this alley at midnight? I told him I was looking for Sex.
My case comes up next Tuesday.”
“But, that ain’t the worst part. One day, I went to the town hall to get a dog license for Sex.
The clerk asked me what I wanted. I told him I wanted a license for Sex.
He said, ‘I’d like to have one, too.’
    Then, I said, ‘You don’t understand. She’s a dog.’
He said he didn’t care how she looked.
When I told him I’d had Sex since I was 5, he said, “You must have been an early bloomer.”
“When I decided to get married, I told the minister I wanted to have Sex at the wedding. He told me I’d have to wait until after the wedding. When I protested that Sex had played a big part in my life and that my whole life revolved around Sex, he said he didn’t want to hear about my personal life.”
“After my wife and I were married, I took the dog with us on the honeymoon. When I checked into the hotel, I told the clerk I wanted a room for my wife and wanted one for Sex.
She said. ‘Every room in the hotel was for sex.’
I said, ‘You don’t understand. Sex keeps me awake at night.’
The clerk said, ‘Me, too.’ ”
“When my wife and I separated, we went to court to fight for custody of the dog. When I told the Judge I had Sex before I was married, he grinned and said, “ Me. too.”
“Now that I’ve been thrown in jail, married, divorced and had more trouble with that dog than I ever imagined, I’m in counseling. My psychiatrist asked me what my problem was. I said ‘Sex has died and left my life. It’s like losing a best friend and I’m so lonely,’ I told him.
He said, “Look, you and I both know that sex isn’t a man’s best friend. Get yourself a dog.”😀
