She’s dead. We know it’s foul play. So, my question is, for how long do we just sit around and accept what’s happened here and carry on as if it’s a normal event? It may be acceptable in some black African shithole, or some dirty filthy North Island feral slum full of nig nog maoris, but I’m having a little bit of trouble accepting this latest one, mainly because I’m fucking over it. What’s the bet it’s another black cunt on parole or another black cunt who’s been in training. Day after day after day after fucking day some innocent New Zealander is taken out by a feral scumbag and that feral scumbag is most often a maori. IT’S NOT FUCKING ACCEPTABLE!

    • Although my groceries are not a huge amount I will never shop at countdown again. have a great day people yesterday was an absolute cracker of a day, today I am hopeful. Be careful out there you never know who is out to get ya.

      • I went to Countdown recently only because my wife was picking up a prescription at Meadowbank. The prices were relatively high and the quality of the produce lower than what we get elsewhere.

    • Komata, Read between the lines Komata, the bosses at countdown are getting in a few below the belt punches because nobody is going to remember as they rebrand as Woolworths FFS.
The only difference in the name change is that prices will go up even higher, countdown is only visited by our family for a quick pick up as their prices and range are shit compared to P&S , although we have noticed P&S are reluctant to have staff ready to open extra checkouts when it gets busy and are happy to let people que 4 deep with trolleys, the tight arsed bastards.

      • A supermarket must be the most plastic using shop in NZ.
There is very little not wrapped in plastic!
Obversely the profit is excessive to be spending 95 millon rebranding.
And they want to clamp down on farmers///////

        11

        0

      • Fuck them. We won’t be shopping there ever again, no matter what they call themselves. Just another bunch of arseholes piling down on the farmers who keep us alive.

I challenge all those greenie cunts who hate farmers to survive without eating a single morsel that comes from a farm.

        6

          • It fucking boils my blood, Stupid Boy. The farmers I know are among the greenest people in the country, doing their best for the land, compared with the scumbag EV-driving urban hypocrites who sit sipping their soy lattes in their polyester action wear, bagging the people we are all dependent on.

  2. Morning Troopers,

“Head Hunter bought 3D printers to manufacture guns, escaped Auckland lockdown to collect debts”

Wonder how many they’ve registered so far. Also, the 8mm pistol found in his car was “modified from a sporting pistol that fires blanks”.

But wait. . . . .don’t the gangs buy their firearms from license firearms owners?

    18

    0

    • Are they putting projectiles in them or just printing starting pistols/ noise makers?
Not sure if theres been changes made in past few months but did they not realise they could purchase all the components to manufacture their own bullets without a licence?
Ive always scratched my head at that one, need a licence to buy pack of ammo but not to buy brass, powder, primers and projectiles or the reloading press etc. Backwards as fark.

      8

      0

      • That’s because the gun haters didn’t know reloading existed. Which demonstrates how informed they are .

How someone feels about firearms is an extremely reliable measure of their character.

  3. Saggy ,That’s BS ,Any patched gang member that needs a pistol can buy one on the black market, 8mm is not a pistol cartridge, in fact I’ve never heard of any gun that fires that round unless it’s some obscure 1st or 2nd WW rifle round and you certainly couldn’t modify a blank firing pistol made from shit metal to fire a round like that ???

  4. Author Unknowm

    Wish I’d written this:

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
To suffer, not prosper; to despair, not dream.
I would start with democracy itself.
I would say it is not working.
I’d say that a House of Representatives that represents all people, does not suit a modern society.
    I’d call it old-fashioned.
I’d say everyone is equal, but some are more equal than others.

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
For every concern, I’d invent a crisis; and for every crisis, I’d say the Government is the answer.

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
I’d say politicians are the single source of truth – I’d say they are right, even when they are wrong.
I’d say free speech that does not agree with me, is hate speech.
I’d say truth is a lie.
That information is misinformation and misinformation is information.
I’d say to be cruel is to be kind, and to fail is to succeed.

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
I’d condemn the wise for being fools and convince the fools that they are wise.
I would say we are a team of 5 million, and then divide us all by race, by gender, by sexual preference, by vaccination status.
I’d create a them and us society.
And when the people protest, I would look down on them, and call them a river of filth.

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
I would say that poverty is noble, and wealth is greed.
And to those who seek opportunity, I would say the best opportunities in life are ones that only politicians can deliver.
I’d convince New Zealanders that economic freedom is harmful, and that more regulation is the answer.
And when those regulations fail, I’d say, we need more.
I’d tax those who aspire for a better life and give it to those who aspire for nothing but the wealth of others.
I’d make it more fashionable to resent success than to seek it.

And what would I do to those who do prosper?
I’d tax their income and when I can’t tax that any more,
I’d tax their spending, and when I’ve taken all they have to spend,
I’d tax their savings until they have no more.
And then, I’d say that’s fair.

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
I would impose regulations that make it impossible for farmers to farm, miners to mine, loggers to log, and builders to build.

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
I’d cripple small businesses with high taxes, high wages, and high compliance costs.
I’d make it easier to stop commerce than start it, easier to kill jobs than create them.
And when prices rise, I would blame the supermarkets, the banks, the service stations so we can regulate them too.
I’d convince New Zealanders that prosperity itself is harmful and villainise those who’ve prospered from their own endeavours.

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
I’d make welfare easy to get but hard to get off – a hand-out not a hand-up, for as long as they want it.
I’d then give people a house to live in for life, so they never get on the property ladder that has, since the beginning of time, been a pathway towards prosperity and financial freedom.
I’d turn an opportunity society into a dependency culture, and say it was for the greater good.

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
I would take away the dreams and aspirations of children and confuse them by saying a boy is a girl and a girl is a boy and 2 plus 2 is…whatever you feel it should be.

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
I would indoctrinate not educate, so when kids think they think like us, and not for themselves.
I’d teach children how to ignore the hypocrisy of condemning logging, mining and farming — while having a roof over their heads, heat in their homes and food on their tables.
And I would never teach children that the free market is the only force in human history to uplift the poor and create lasting prosperity.

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
I’d teach schoolchildren that they have no future and blame their parents for killing the planet.
I’d say the climate emergency is proven, and I’d cancel scientists who say otherwise.

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
I’d close down our food producers who are the most efficient in the world, so less efficient farmers overseas can grow more.
I’d vilify farmers and demonise an industry that’s been the backbone of our economy, and I’d celebrate those who say we should not travel, while they jet their way around the world attending climate change conferences.

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
I’d pay foreigners to buy up productive farmland so they can plant pine trees that will never be harvested and never create a single job or earn a single dollar in foreign exchange. I’d call it carbon farming and say, it’s our future.
And because I don’t believe in free markets, I’d invent false ones.
I’d devise fictitious products – like carbon credits –and force up the price of fuel and electricity and convince people that this would create jobs and be good for the economy, but I would never say where the new jobs will be found.
When it’s cold outside, I’d muster a straight face call that climate change too.

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
I’d make cheap energy expensive so that expensive energy would seem cheap.
I’d cut off our supply of abundant energy by closing the mines and capping the oil wells and say it’s because the world will end if we don’t.

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
I would close our only oil refining company and put hundreds of people out of work, then import fuel and byproducts from overseas, so they can employ their people.

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
I’d take away the jobs that make our regions strong, and to put things right I’d give them welfare.

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
I would make the independent media financially dependent on the government so that instead of holding the politicians to account, the Government’s narrative becomes their narrative.

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
I would “fix” the health system by hiring more bureaucrats and administrators than nurses and doctors, and then wonder why health care is in crisis.

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
I’d promise to build 100,000 homes, deliver a few, and then turn a blind eye to the homeless living on the streets or in cars.
I’d say I will reduce child poverty and then do the opposite.

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
I would make bold promises, then hire an army of spin doctors to make excuses when things go wrong.
And I’d convince our indigenous people that their future lies in the past and appease their grievances with never-ending full and final settlements.
And I would reward hysterical minorities who say we should be more like them, by giving them awards and a platform of fame, even when others are more deserving.

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
I would give a small number of people in our society the right to rule over the majority, for no other reason than their ancestors arrived before our ancestors.

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
I would take down the portraits and statues of our former leaders, and change the names of towns and places to erase the memory of generations of settlers who made those places what they are today.
And when I have done this, I would call New Zealand Aotearoa, to show everyone who really is in charge.
And if anyone says we should all be equal, I’d call them a racist to silence their opposition.

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
I would prey on the goodness and decency of ordinary New Zealanders.
I would only need to convince them… that all of this is for the greater good…that politicians are the answer to their problems, not the cause.

If I wanted New Zealand to fail…
    I wouldn’t change a thing.

    https://www.1news.co.nz/2023/07/23/govt-spends-fraction-of-38m-promised-for-methamphetamine-programme/
The government appears to have spent a fraction of the money it promised to invest in a highly effective methamphetamine programme.

In the lead-up to the 2020 election, former prime minister Dame Jacinda Ardern promised to expand the programme to a further 4000 people at a cost of $38 million over the three-year Parliamentary term.

Figures released to RNZ under the Official Information Act show as of June 2023, the Health Ministry had spent less than a fifth of this promised investment.

  7. Looks like if you’re having trouble passing an exam, it could be because the exam is racist. Naughty exam.

“Paediatrics exams include a written and an in-person, clinical format, and are sat by doctors – generally with about 4-5 years experience – before advanced training.

Yesterday, the Weekend Herald revealed a letter of protest from a group of doctors was sent to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), outlining serious concern about the clinical examinations.

“Within the Auckland clinical examination candidates, having reviewed the data for the last five years, the overall chance of passing the examination on the first attempt for a non-caucasian candidate is 40 per cent. This increased to 93 per cent for a caucasian candidate,” stated the letter, sent in February.

We believe the vast discrepancy of pass rates reflects the existing racial bias and discrimination, and that this is in breach of the NZ Human Rights Act.””

OR. . .Maybe it’s got something to do with the fact that you can get into medicine with lesser marks if you’re Maori/PI. Now that really is racial bias and discrimination.

    • That ‘report’ from the Weekend Herald is nothing but lies and propaganda invented to further exacerbate the racial disharmony that besets our embattled country.

When you sit an exam – any sort of exam – you don’t have to state your race. There’s no way anybody could come up with a believable statistic about pass rates based on race like this. It’s just garbage.

This kind of shit just goes to prove the correctness of Goebbels’ dictum that the bigger the lie and the more outrageous it is the more readily it will be believed by a gullible sheeplike citizenry.

      • Its crazy theyre that triggered.
Maori have been banging on for decades about upholding the treaty, along comes julian who advocates for doing just that and hes labelled racist and protested against.

        12

        0

        • That’s the problem SB, the protestors have not actually bothered to listen to what Julian is saying. As you know, he repeatedly says in his presentations he is the one saying the Treaty ( the one written in Maori ) is what needs to be upheld for everyone.
At his Kapiti meeting a couple of young ( in their twenties) Maori guys attended and went up to him later to thank Julian because they said they now understood the issue and before the meeting they knew very little.
A few protestors “conned” their way into the Kapiti meeting despite the organisers trying to vet the people going in (they had to be on a list). Rather than sitting and listening they tried to pull cords out of speakers etc. before the Police escorted them out.

          • Much of the agitation originates from a small outfit called Aotearoa Liberation League, based somewhere in the north. It is run by a young couple, one of whom is an Iranian immigrant! (Remind you of anyone?)

      • …whiteys geetar

Hah bro, Maori invented the geetar so they could have live music while rowing to Antarctica (or sailing, depends on who is telling the story)
Then (1325) they had ‘Dance to my ten Guitars’ as the National anthem before whitey came along with God save the queen.

        Wikipedia is wrong, bro :-
Ten Guitars” is a 1967 song by the English singer Engelbert Humperdinck. It was the B-side to his single “Release Me”.[1] The song is especially well known in New Zealand, where it has become a beloved folk song and is considered by some to be the “unofficial national anthem” of New Zealand.[2]

    • Good to see the Police doing their job. When I picked him up at the airport on Friday to return his car ( which he had parked in our car park for a couple of night while he was at his Picton meeting) he said the Police had rung him and told him to expect a “big” night in Palmerston North (the hot bed for lefties). His response was he could not do anything about i, so bring it on.

In Picton they cancelled two venues so his supporters said no problem —one guy drove quite away with his marque, someone else offered his big lawn to put it up on, others bought in seats, food etc. and he went ahead with very good turn out. No protestors.

  8. Just been listening to Paul Henry on ZB. He’s back in the country to film his new show called ”The Traitor. ” Apparently he reckons it’s a winner that the audience can play along with. The game starts off as a fun thing until it isn’t.

He, like Marc Ellis, believes NZ is in big trouble. He didn’t slag NZ off, but it was obvious NZ doesn’t excite him much anymore. He now lives on a boat and is producing his own line of Gin.

I have always liked Paul Henry. He has three qualities that put him head and shoulders above other media personalities in NZ.

    1- A sense of humour.

2- He doesn’t take himself too seriously.

3- He takes on Maori in interviews.( He wouldn’t last long in the present media environment).

It is still the ambulance at the bottom of the cliff and if he thinks 30 places will make a difference he is in dreamland.

        Watched Shane reti.
Now there is a man with a mission and one who knows hat he is talking about. very impressed with him.
Tame was fixated a bit on the patient consent thing which was really a bit of a red herring.
What would have been more enlightening would have been if he had actually used that same question to ask Reti about his submission, along with the other 120 goons, to forcing the jabs on others who didn’t want to agree.
Now that would have certainly dragged out where Reti stands on the consent issue.

        But, you know???

WOW ,the Victorian government are panicking because they have around 135 billion dollars debt and only 7.5 million people to help pay it off .FFS We have 20 billion dollars more debt and only the team of 5 million to pay it off, half of our population are unproductive so no matter what happens in October there’s some serious austerity in our near future.
Did we ever see Piggy Muldoons “light at the end of the tunnel” I must have missed it .?

    • Sir Robert David Muldoon gave us
-Marsden point expansion (tar for the roads; that sort of thing )
      -Clyde Dam
      -Motunui
      -Expand Tiwai point
      -Expand NZ Steel
      -Urea plant

      These were good.
for $7 billion of borrowing’s that had something to show for it.
Inflation over the rest of the decade halved the debt in payable terms.
      Roll forward….
the ardern critter wrecked half these in first 2 years

Bill English /Key were borrowing $300 million a week in 2009 to pay for pensions and social welfare.
      Nothing to show for that.
And key was a hero to some ??????

      At least Muldoon did something
Notional under Key signed NZ to UNDRIP, Paris climate accord (Billions a year with nothing to show for it ) yakked about WFF, raised benefits, did not lower taxes, yakked about reforming RMA yakked and yakked then he fucked off back to the bank whence he crawled out of .

So cut out the repeater nonsense you get from media filth.

  11. Missing Christchurch real estate agent Yanfei Bao: Police charge person with kidnapping

Police investigating the disappearance of Christchurch real estate agent Yanfei Bao have arrested someone and charged them with kidnapping.

Bao was last seen in the Wigram area about 10.30am on Wednesday. She has not been found but her cellphone was located on the Southern Motorway on Friday.

On Sunday morning, police confirmed Bao was still missing.

The Herald understands a person has been arrested and charged with kidnapping. Bao remains missing.

The person was arrested at an airport and it’s understood they were planning to leave the country.

On Saturday evening, Detective Inspector Nicola Reeves said the investigation resulted in a vehicle of interest being seized and search warrants being executed at two addresses, one in Bryndwr and one in Wigram.

  12. Watched tane & reti this morning. Have commented on Tane not asking the tough question above but there was another question which Reti slid out from under and Tame let him.

Its the question of alcohol. Now its been obvious forever that the Nats right back to Shipley and before collect ed a fai amount of hospitality money.

When asked bt Tame about the issue of alcohol and what Reti saw when out with the ambulance crews Reti was clear it was a major problem. When asked what the Nats would do there was no clear answer and he added drugs, especially Meth to the conversation.
Now I don’t mind a beer or two and I’m not advocating we remove Tarquins right to his share but as naaska will tell us there is a real problem with booze.
And I have to say particularly with certain races.

Pricing it up hasn’t fixed it. Banning the advertizing wont fix it.

    So what to do?

Have to sat I was impressed with what Reti had to say about Pharmac and how he thought it should be mandated.

It also goes onto explain how a major change occurred on June 30 and how the EU banks have a major problem heading directly at them. Interesting reading.

“That’s why Yellen had to get the Chinese to buy Treasuries. Yellen didn’t want to risk being blamed for a recession by pulling a trillion dollars of base money out of the United States domestic markets, so she went overseas and I think she begged the Chinese to do it. It’s the most likely thing that makes sense. Therefore, the other question you have to ask yourself is, what are the Chinese getting in return? ”

“LIBOR is dead, SOFR is the law of the land. And the United States has got a Federal Reserve chairman who’s absolutely not on board with the previous system. The economic bloc that’s between a rock and a hard place is Europe. They’re energy importers. They’re not particularly good exporters of anything that really matters anymore. Germany’s being de-industrialized like you wouldn’t believe. Italy is being squeezed politically to the point where its vaunted industrial engine is being crushed. And then energy prices are set to rise.” ( SOFR =secured overnight financing rate )

    • Ross, as kea says pretty much all economies ceased to exist as a genuine economy years ago.
Heres a good summary of what happened and when.
      https://youtu.be/U1dpWiZoiJU

Personally i think they were toast prior to 2008 but thats a year most seem to pinpoint as the culprit. Imo it was all downhill from the day the us dollar was unteathered from gold, thats when the real fuckery and currency/economy manipulation all started and just culminated in the 2008 financial crisis.

Birds still fixated on housing, the money was printed to pay for EVERYTHING from wars to healthcare to social security plus all the handouts in between. Now more debt/ money creation is done to repay old debts to enable newer much larger debts, this is the real ponzi kea should be squawking about but nope he cant get past sticks n gib.

      6

      0

      • You are probably too young/or drugged at the time, to remember, but they made entire movies (The Big Short) about housing causing the crash. It is not disputed by anyone.

The problem goes back to how money is created. It is created by issuing debt. A fraction of existing money should be kept as a reserve. Hence – fractional reserve banking. But people found a way around that and issued huge amounts of debt to boost the housing market.

There was never a recovery from the 2008 crash and it effected the entire world.

The subprime mortgage crisis was a severe worldwide economic crisis that occurred in the early 21st century. It was the most serious financial crisis since the Great Depression.3 The crisis began with cheap credit and lax lending standards that fueled a housing bubble. When the bubble burst, banks were left holding trillions of dollars worth of worthless investments in subprime mortgages.2 The subprime mortgage crisis occurred when banks sold too many mortgages to feed the demand for mortgage-backed securities sold through the secondary market. When home prices fell in 2006, it triggered defaults, and the risk spread into mutual funds, pension funds, and corporations who owned these derivatives.0 Hedge funds, banks, and insurance companies caused the subprime mortgage crisis by creating mortgage-backed securities and covering them with credit default swaps.

                • Yea its in black and white in what you just posted. The fuckery of the secondary market and trading mortgages like a comodity being manipulated by scum investment banks was the cause not the money printing.
Go look where most of the US money printed since then has gone into, the housing market is a drop in the ocean.

Sex trafficking in the states is worth $billions. The film has done really well despite those attempting to shut its viewing down.

    • The uninsulated kiwi home was great when we had plentiful coal and wood to burn cheaply. It allowed good air circulation and moisture could escape. The cold dampness started with aluminum joinery and sealing the house up, while banning affordable heating. Also back then women would stay at home, where they fucking belong, and keep the fires burning. At one point they actually bored holes in the framing to allow air to circulate.

Things got worse as kiwis started trying to impress their mates with impractical chaotic and ugly house designs, hideous monolithic claddings, and generally shit design. Because they wouldn’t look successful enough with a rectangle shaped house and a decent pitched roof. Our houses are the ugliest I have seen anywhere in the world.

    https://i.stuff.co.nz/southland-times/news/132588841/opposition-to-contacts-proposed-50turbine-wind-farm-grows-in-southland

The guys right, why build the fucking things down here when they can be built closer to where the end users are or why not build hydro generation that provides more benefit then just electricity. The should never have scrapped beaumont dam plans and sold off the land, wouldve been far better then hundreds of dumbarse windmills or retarded lake onslow pumped hydro.

South island should have a decent levy on the electricity going across cook straight, charge the north island fuckwits for their nimbyism and failure to deal with taniwhas. The only thing the south island seems to get from it is fucked over.

    6

    • Every bit of electricity from wind has to be backed up with real generation. They can only be in addition to other means of production, not instead of. Therefore we will never get our power from windmills and solar.

      • Pretty sure the project spawned from the green hydrogen orgasm someone had when the threat of tiwai closing got them panicking.
Now its not the twats still want to build the hydrogen plant there but not enough power from manapouri to run both so “green” windmills are the solution apparently.
The project wont happen, the energy will get exported to jaffas. Even if the plant gets built then why not build the windmills at bluff? Theres already a bunch there and the place is a run down fucking dump full of drunk and drugged maoris so any eyesores built could only improve the shithole.

The only reservation I have had for years is how so many people could lie in unison about it .

Then along came convid and years of coordinated lies incl from politicians and the medical community and then, the last doubt was removed.

    simple question:
There is no atmosphere on the moon. So when the sun strikes the temperature immediately goes to 120 degrees Celsius.
There is no warming up period and atmosphere and moisture to heat.
When the sun goes down it is minus 100 or more celsius

    So when did they go
For one minute bang on sunrise ??

Why did they have to land in the ocean and not on land like the Russians.

  20. Anyone heard of this?

    HEAR YE!   HEAR YEE!!

SECRET PLAN TO   CONFISCATE ALL NEW ZEALANDERS’ PROPERTIES:

NZ LOCAL GOVERNMENT FUNDING AGENCY GUARANTEE
    https://www.lgfa.co.nz/investors/guarantee-arrangements

The LOCAL GOVERNMENT FUNDING AGENCY (LGFA) was set up under the Local Government Act 2011. No New Zealand local government agency or organisation, city or regional council can borrow unless it borrows funds through the LOCAL GOVERNMENT FUNDING AGENCY (LGFA), a Limited Liability Company – and to do so, each borrower council must sign an [unscrupulous] GUARANTEE  & INDEMNITY DOCUMENT putting all Ratepayers’ properties with their rates revenues up for security against the debt.

If any Local Government debt in the future becomes unsustainable, or if a council defaults on its debt, then the overseas bankers can extract what is owed, by way of extortionist rates rises from ALL ratepayers, and if they can’t pay, the bankers can sell or confiscate the ratepayers’ properties, homes, farms and anything else to recover the debt (which incidentally is growing enormously by the day and is completely out of control).

This right now means all local government and central government elections are now a complete and utter farce and we are living under a tyranny already. It also means all political parties and politicians, who do not recognise this, are themselves also a farce. All other issues are subordinate to this primary fundamental issue, because historically, the cornerstone of democracy has always been the right of all citizens to freely own private property – and whenever this has been removed, as it has been in this GUARANTEE (although most people don’t know it yet), you are then living in a Fascist or Communist dictatorship.

For people who struggle to understand this legal jargon. Simplified, the LGFA’s debt obligations are guaranteed by its council shareholders, borrower and guarantor councils [WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF RATEPAYERS] on behalf of ratepayers. Each borrower council must sign the GUARANTEE. All councils in NZ that have borrowed off the LGFA  have treacherously signed the GUARANTEE. Tauranga City Council Mayor Crosby was the first. Surely, even a first year high school child would never sign such a treacherous document as this imposing such blatant, potential dire consequences on those he represents.

To hide who these criminal banking pirates actually are from the uninformed and simple-minded, the lawyers have created a “SECURITY TRUSTEE” who acts on behalf of the BENEFICIARIES (the secret overseas bankers involved).

While the chickens haven’t quite come home to roost yet and the bankers haven’t begun confiscating homes or farms as they plan, you might like to do yourself a small favour by first reading about the stupendous powers the “Security Trustee” has over the borrowers and the ratepayers they represent in the 116-page GUARANTEE AND INDEMNITY DOCUMENT – and learn a bit more about the SECURITY TRUST DEED and view the LIST OF LGFA GUARANTORS AS AT 31 MARCH 2023 to appreciate exactly who all the principal treacherous mayors actually are.

Here, just for the record, is the latest “LGFA STATEMENT OF INTENT 2023-2026” for those who may appreciate what level of debt they are dealing with:
    https://www.lgfa.co.nz/sites/default/files/2023-06/LGFA%20Statement%20Of%20Intent%202023-2026%20Final_0.pdf

Therefore, this all means, with the greatest of respect, that the greatest attack against private property rights and freedom in NZ may not end up coming from Central Government at all, and the bankers that in turn control it. It may very well come from a most unlikely candidate – your friendly Local Government Councillor or Mayor, someone you all thought was a good guy, you voted for and thought was acting in your and your family’s best interests.

    • Sounds like a telegram nutter wrote that.

Councils have debt ceilings for a reason, dont know about other councils but here it equates to around 3800 per person in the district… hardly something thats gunna force the forfeiture of every house and farm.
I understand other councils will be more careless and higher debt but still its not going to be anywhere near that level of conspiracy nutjobbery.

  24. A Brief Explanation of The Overton Window

… the Overton Window can both shift and expand, either increasing or shrinking the number of ideas politicians can support without unduly risking their electoral support.

The Overton Window is a model for understanding how ideas in society change over time and influence politics. The core concept is that politicians are limited in what policy ideas they can support — they generally only pursue policies that are widely accepted throughout society as legitimate policy options. These policies lie inside the Overton Window. Other policy ideas exist, but politicians risk losing popular support if they champion these ideas. These policies lie outside the Overton Window.

Tristan Harris, a former “design ethicist” at Google, says that he was a member of a team at the company, whose job it was to influence “a billion people’s attention and thoughts every day.” Jaron Lanier, a computer scientist and one of the early investors in Google and Facebook, claims that Big Tech content has “morphed into continuous behavior modification on a mass basis.” Another early investor in these companies, the prominent author and venture capitalist Roger McNamee, has said that he now regrets having financed them, and asserts that they constitute “a menace to public health and to democracy.”
