    • To continue with communism version 2 vote ACT.

Yolu will have to be jabbed to get your benefit was what he said.

Hasn’t changed his mind and won’t even discuss his bad attitude.
Ya gets what ya vote for.

Oh and do I need to remind you that just yesterday he is prepared to “negotiate” now about HIS NON NEGOTIABLE BOTTOM LINE over the firearms register with that other no-hoper Chrissy Luxon.

Birds of a feather flock together.
Don’t vote for Winston for he is a magpie. They collect shiny things.

      • Dont throw stones in glass houses vikey, its just same as dnzs non negotiable bottom line… ENTRENCH THE BILL OF RIGHTS.
And now matt/dnz has backtracked on ending carbon forestry and now only wants to “reduce” carbon forestry.
And thats from a tiny lil party that can say and pomise anything they want because theyre not gunna get near parliament to be held accountable.

Seymour is reading the room, cunt move to do to FAL supporters but incase you havent noticed we have massive increase in shootings and the media filling the sheeple with bullshit. Campaigning opping the register aint gunna be a vote winner, dosent mean it wont happen tho.

Why dosent your hero care about the 250k fal holders? The champion of rights and freedom agrees with the oppression of gun owners and govt sponsored theft cuz hes n ex cop and all guns bad.

  4. Ginny Andersen has come out and spewed her bullshit again with HDPA yesterday. Why does nobody pull her up on it?
She says “(the firearms register will ) make sure we know where all the illegal guns are, and that will help our police officers find those illegal weapons”

No it WON’T Ginny, it will let you know where the LEGAL firearms are.

You can hear it at 3:15 here

    • Hdpa and barry soper also rattled off how many firearms recovered had serial numbers removed, then pistols recovered 1 was reported stolen and the rest no records and likely smugled in. Then the buyback they rekon banned 160-200k firearms and only 60k handed in so massive amount never gunna get registered.
Even they are very skeptical of the register having any effect.

      17

      0

    • The police already know where the legal guns are because they have firearms licence details of all the owners. And as for the Gun Control NZ survey no doubt the people in favour of the register will be the same ones who line up to pay five dollars to take the “free stupidity test.”

      13

      0

      • Yes Alice, they do know where the legal firearms owners (and therefore firearms) are. My issue is that the police are selling the “benefits” of the register to the general public with blatant misinformation (lies).

I’ve just written to Nicole McKee and expressed my displeasure about this, and also about the fact that the removal of the register appears to have moved from a “bottom line” for ACT, to now being “negotiable”.

  5. Australia Needs 10,000 Kilometres of New Transmission Infrastructure for Net Zero: Green Advisory
The Albanese Labor government’s lofty plans to supply 82 percent of the country’s energy grid with renewable sources is unlikely to come to fruition, according to a green energy advisory.

The firm, Nexa, says Australia will struggle to get to 60 percent renewables by the end of the decade, citing the challenges with building new infrastructure.

“Australia needs to build 10,000 kilometres of transmission, in less than 10 years, equal to 25 percent of today’s entire transmission grid,” said Nexa CEO Stephanie Bashir, according to the report published in June.

    https://www.theepochtimes.com/world/australia-needs-10000-kilometres-of-new-transmission-infrastructure-for-net-zero-green-advisory-5448183?utm_source=Aomorningbriefnoe&src_src=Aomorningbriefnoe&utm_campaign=Aomb-2023-08-08&src_cmp=Aomb-2023-08-08&utm_medium=Aoemail&est=zo4jHpVAraAXO%2Fw3cTWTOF6P7PLXEaG7Jzf8odkGH8wggGO362IdAKv9aSmSYx8%3D

“Retooling our entire energy grid, both generation and transmission is transferring hundreds of billions of dollars out of the pockets of everyday Australians into the pockets of the climate carpetbaggers running this scam, using rising electricity prices and higher taxes,” said One Nation Senator Malcolm Roberts told the Senate last week.

“We are the world’s most energy-rich country, yet we have some of the world’s highest prices for electricity. We export coal and uranium so foreign countries can have cheap, reliable power; yet the energy policies of the Greens, Liberals, Labor, and the Nationals mean we cannot use it here—all in the name of this new religion of green self-flagellation,” Mr. Roberts said.

sounds like their cuzzies this side of the Tasman does it not.

Can anyone see a disaster in the making?

  6. Former realtor and DHB worker Alister Thorby accused of dishonestly obtaining $1.4m of MIQ funding
A man accused of dishonestly obtaining just over $1.4 million of Government funds during his time at the helm of a Covid response team was arrested at an airport as he was about to embark on a $92,000 holiday.

Alister Thorby was contracted by Capital and Coast District Health Board (the DHB), now known as Te Whatu Ora Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley, between October 2021 and June 2022 for work as the Covid-19 response lead.

It was his job to arrange staffing at Managed Isolation Quarantine (MIQ) facilities within the area but the Crown is now alleging Thorby did not provide around $1.4m worth of services he had invoiced the DHB for.

Thorby, whose company Moutoa Māori Wardens, trading as AT Consulting and Logistics Ltd, had the DHB contract, is now facing 12 charges of obtaining by deception.

As the case moves through Palmerston North District Court, the former real estate agent, who worked in both New Zealand and Australia, can now be named after the interim name suppression order protecting his identity recently lapsed.

Thorby has entered not-guilty pleas to the charges and is scheduled to return to court later this month.

The Crown has alleged Thorby made lavish purchases with the money he has been accused of dishonestly obtaining, including to purchase a house in Foxton, several vehicles – including a motor home – and to book international travel.

A court document details how he was arrested at Auckland Airport in July 2022 as he was about to board a flight to Brisbane, the first leg of a planned month-long overseas trip for him and two friends at a cost of just over $92,000.

Among the services the Crown allege Thorby failed to provide, yet still billed for, was the “logistical support” as well as staffing and security for MIQ facilities in Central Wellington Paraparaumu on the Kapiti Coast.

The largest invoice Thorby’s company sent to the DHB was for more than $300,000 and was for providing six staff as 24/7 security for 30 days in April 2022 at either $45 or $67.50 per hour. The location where they were providing security was not listed as part of the invoice.

On a brighter note. Yesterday Mikey, on ZB, dealt to the PM over the Maori Health Authority issue. According to Mikey the PMs office moaned to him all day about said interview. He told them straight – he was quoting from the released report. The PMs office suggested Peeni Henare be interviewed over the issue. Mikey did that this morning, and Peeni Henare basically ignored what the report was saying and continued to spout government spin. Absolutely fascinating.

You may remember early in the piece, during the Covid lockdown, Peeni, before he had been given the ”correct government song sheet”, said words to the affect of ” I don’t know what more we can do to get Maori vaccination rates up.” We have tried everything.” A few day later after being straightened out he said ” Maori have traditionally had trouble accessing health care and colonisation had also been an impediment to accessing quality healthcare.

When confronted with legal action to his proposed sna areas the mayor and councilor’s stopped the process . The little twerp then packed his bags and went to the timaru council.

  8. Just caught the end of an interview on AM with a professor talking about BLack Rock and their “investment” in NZ announced yesterday.
What caught my attention was him saying it will be an investment fund into which pension funds, corporates, and investment funds will provide the 2 billion. PLUS he said govt departments, NGO’s ETC will also contribute. In other words, the NZ taxpayer will be contributing to this fund, paying Blackrock interest on borrowed money the taxpayer is already paying interst on.
Did I mention your Kiwisaver funds? These will be in the mix somewhere.
It will all be hidden in the fine print.

    • I have not read the detail with all the gushing but essentially blackcock are fund mamagers.
They apply OPM – other peoples money to a fund and collect a fee for managing it.

All this jizziness over $2 billion

-That was what was allocated for mental health with nothing to show for it amid a nasty vicious cunt posing as a PM; creating fear among the populace and gaslighting them over lockdowns, lockouts and division of society.
-A mere two thirds of what was allocated to Winston Peters PGF – provincial fraud fund
-The amount John key signed NZ up to circa 2015 to hand over each year, for starters ; over paris climate accord
-Goo-mint expenditure has increased $50 BILLION in five years . That is $10 Billion a year. SO Two billion is merely 10 weeks of ADDITIONAL Goo-mint expenditure ..again with nothing valid to show for it.

It is SFA and it is OPM

  10. Little Johnny was in class and the teacher announced that they were going to try something different to help everyone get to know each other a little better, and to help with their spelling. She explained, “I want you to stand up and give us the occupation of your father, spell it, and say one thing he would give us all if he was here today.”

The first student raised her hand to volunteer. “Marcy,” the teacher said. “You may go first.”

Marcy replied, “My father is a banker. B-A-N-K-E-R and if he was here today, he would give us all a shiny new penny.”

The teacher said, “Very nice, Marcy, who wants to go next?”

Kevin stood up and announced, “My father is a baker. B-A-K-E-R and if he was here today, he would give us all a freshly-baked biscuit.”

“Very good,” the teacher told Kevin.

Jeff was next, and he said, “My father is an accountant. A-K, no wait, A-C-K, no…” Before he could attempt to spell it once more, the teacher cut him off and told him to sit back down and to think about it for a while. When he thought he knew how to spell it, he could stand back up and try again.

Little Johnny raised his hand in excitement hoping to be acknowledged by the teacher. The teacher called on little Johnny to go next.

Johnny said, “My father is a bookie. B-O-O-K-I-E and if he was here today, he would give us all 20:1 odds Jeff will never be able to spell “accountant.”

  12. My Year 8 daughter has missed out on enrolment in her favoured high school, for which we are just outside the recently redrawn zone (we were firmly inside it when her siblings attended). We’re not keen on the shit alternative school whose zone has crept across our neighbourhood to fill the gap as the “good” high school retreated. As a result we’ve been looking at all the available options. $30K pa for a private school is far beyond our modest means. So, Hagley Community College? Well, one look at their website turns me right off:

    https://www.hagley.school.nz/

We also tossed about the idea of the Correspondence School, which my daughter was quite keen on. But they’ve gone the full fucking hori too.

I’m so fucking sick of the fucking hori bullshit. I want my poor kid to get a decent secular education focusing on English, maths and science with a side order of classical music. These are the subjects that ring her nerdy little bell. She is a European New Zealander of English extraction. She has no connection to and no interest in anything to do with fucking Maoris. But such an education seems to be a impossible dream in the socialist shithole of Aotearoa. What’s striking is how much it has changed for the worse since I was going through this with her next sibling up, a few years older than her. I’m feeling myself backed into a tight corner here.

    • Have you looked at a Catholic high school? You do not need to be a catholic as the Catholic high schools allow for a certain percentage of non-catholics. They are relatively inexpensive. Our two grandkids attend a Catholic school and their reading and math skills are excellent.

      6

      0

      • Hi Bert, we are indeed considering Catholic schools in our area. Some are harder to get into than others, and some are more expensive than others. Of course we’re not religious at all, but I’d infinitely prefer her to be dosed with a bit of Catholicism than all the fucking Maori shit.

I wish I had the kind of money to send her private, studying IB. She’s a smart kid, loves to study, refuses to own a mobile phone, loves to be at home reading (mostly history and classic literature), playing piano or sewing and crocheting. She’d thrive in IB, but the only option is St Margaret’s at nearly $30K pa.

        • Most of my nieces and kids attended Catholic Schools. Got a reasonable education, but the standout common thing is most are atheists or agnostic now. However, Catholic schools have become very woke around Maori shit. But they still believe a person with a gash is a girl, and a pistol a boy. Disclaimer – I have taught in Catholic Schools since 1996.

          5

          0

          • It looks like we’ve missed the boat for the Catholic schools. Enrolments have closed for 2024. It was only a very recent decision to look at them after becoming dismayed at all the other options.

            5

        • Sounds like your daughter is a rare type, not a ditsy bimbo addicted to social media and actually wants to learn an has real hobbies.

Bit of a shame with the schooling, just a thought but theres no grandparents with a better school nearby them that she could go sorta board with while she goes through secondary school?
Bit of a hassle i know but it is an option that ive seen work, better and cheaper then boarding school.

The state of our schools with the hori crap now is horiffic, the school our kids attended prior to us homeschooling is now almost unrecognisable, the primary school in a wee town 20mins from here where bosses wife teaches is even worse, so bad youd think the place is a full immersion school… quite alot of the kids are filly or indian too which is just fucking wrong ramming maori culture down their throats

          4

          0

      • It still is, Curious, but there are priority tiers.

Tier 1: you’re in zone. They have to take you.
Tier 2: you’re out of zone but you have siblings attending the school. They might take you if there’s room.
Tier 3: you’re out of zone but you HAD siblings attend the school. Ditto.
Tier 4: you’re a child of a former student of the school.
Tier 5: you’re a child of an employee of the school board or a child of a member of the school board.
        Tier 6: general unwanted scumbags.

My daughter fell into Tier 3 for our preferred school, and since the zone is already busting at the seams she was well down the list. I tried for Christchurch Girls High but we were Tier 6 there and were rejected without ceremony.

Everything else involves the law of diminishing returns. If $30K dropped out of the sky she’d be at St Margaret’s in a flash. But I’m a small business stiff with an overdraft and a mortgage. C’est la vie. Que sera sera.

        5

        0

        • OK, $30K is too much but you might consider a $5K bribe at one of the lower cost schools acceptable to you. I don’t believe that would be illegal and the worst thing that could happen is that they say no. Many schools could use an extra $5K and it might just work.

          Best wishes.

          Bert

I’m surprised more wasn’t made of it. Independence of the media is one of the basic tenets of a democracy, and Labour have been screwing the scrum in plain sight of the crowd. Somehow they’re getting away with it.

Well if big picture thinking isnt the way then moron ysb folk very narrow tunnelvision certainly isnt the way either.
You happily cherrypick a few things and twist it to suit your narrative yet forget your hero and white night was part of a government that unanimously agreed to initiate covid madness, he had no worries with any of it until he smelled 5% at the protest, he was so pro covid he and his wife got jabbed up the wazoo too…. but yeah tunnel vision not big picture means you neglect to see basic facts like that.

The difference was that the DNZ leader didn’t support the mandates. In other words he believes in freedom of choice.

He supported them all the way up until the parliament protest, by remaining in the nat party he was complicit and he no doubt wouldve been out encouraging ppl to get vaxed in the northland electorate under the nat banner.
If he was against mandates he wouldve resigned from the party the day the mandates started but fact is david seymour was calling for the end of mandates long before 95% of kiwis had ever heard of matt fucking king.

Dnz dosent support freedom, like act they only support the few freedoms they will allow you to have. Same shit but different, theyre both shit people leading shit parties but the best of a bad bunch except 1 has a guaranteed chance of being in parliament and likely in power and the other is just wasting other peoples money and time to get absolutely nowhere…. that tunnel vision has you stuffed again ole chap, or maybe its the weed?

WG why dont you post some links to the earliest statements made by matt king to end mandates… bet you dont find any prior to him resigning. Seymour beat him to it by many months even before vax pass bullshit started.

                      2

                    • That’s a stupid thing to say SB. Matt said from the beginning he resigned after National refused to go against Ardern’s jab mandates. Matt resigned from Nats because of that and set up DNZ. Yes, like many he’s jabbed but mandating it is what he objects to. Unlike yourself some of us aren’t as combative nor look intimidating and need strong voices to speak up for others.

                    • He resigned many months after going along with the mandates.
Someone needs to get on the wayback machine and go through his social media posts as im certain they wouldve been scrubbed now but almost guarantee he was fully supportive of everything covid at the time mandates included.

Prove me wrong and show me some proof he opposed mandates prior to him resigning.

                  • I note that nasska’s Seymour’s twitter words were in April or early May after 2022.
That is after the Wellington protest of 6th February 2022 to 2nd March 2022, where Seymour signed up with Ardern in support of Luxon, Shaw & Maori Party.

The $ each way of Seymour slyly but not really meeting the protesters on 16th Feb, and then 17th of Feb the agreement of not meeting the protesters was produced.
So he technically probably would have known in meeting ahead of time, so as not to buck Ardern & Luxon, then turned & fully go along with their agreement.

Does a leopard change those devious spots from those times???

Still declaring there is not really a problem with the vaxxes.

“The Seymour’s choice” was it was your choice to take the jab,
So what if you lost the Job.
No income? What about the house mortgage.

Some great choices from the Party of Choice.
To collect the benefit, or pension, take the jab, or No benefit or pension?

                  • Because luxon is a cuck and he dosent want the embarassment of lossing to electorate to seymour in a genuine battle for the votes.
Much better optics if nats just let it slide, plus if they tried to put the boot into seymour like that then he would be far more cunty during coalition negotiations.

                    • Probably dosent make a difference but people are easier to work with if youre not actively trying to sabotage them.
Did you have a business partner Ed? If so did you try shit on them and upset the applecart?

We all know how 2017 went after 1 party shit on the other in the leadup to the election, do you want a repeat of that?

  17. What data do they have for work achieved other than entertainment? Are taxpayers just funding Pacific Island family visits and farewells?

    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2023/08/ministry-of-pacific-peoples-blasted-for-40-000-farewell-by-public-service-watchdog.html
The Ministry of Pacific Peoples has been blasted by the public service watchdog for spending nearly $40,000 on farewelling its former chief executive who was moving to another ministry.

The Public Service Commission, which has been reviewing the spending after it came to light in December, said the former Ministry of Pacific Peoples (MPP) chief executive Leauanae Laulu Mac Leauanae had not been involved in the planning or decision-making for the event.

“Mr Leauanae owned his part. When he became aware of the matter, he immediately repaid the money spent on gifts in full and returned all cultural gifts to MPP. He also repaid the money spent on travel for his family and a guest who did not have a formal role in the welcome. That is appropriate and I thank Mr Leauanae for putting the matter right at the first opportunity.”

  20. Update from ACT in response to my letter this morning to Nicole Mckee. The response is on behalf on Nicole.

    “Hi,
Regarding your comment about David stating the removal of the firearms register was now ‘negotiable’, I have just received an update from our Media team advising that the journalist had to change the story because actually ACT hasn’t changed its position.
Getting rid of the gun register is a core priority for ACT.

We’re back on track, all is forgiven and faith is restored! 😎

Has dnz made any retractions? Are they now gunna stick to their founding principle and entrench the bill of rights? How about ending carnon farming? The weasel politician now only wants to reduce it.

Only thing matt king is solid on is giving his cop mate some cameras.

  25. Those who look after their health need to be registered with a GP as well so what’s the answer?

    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2023/08/some-gp-practices-enrolling-lots-of-low-need-patients-to-get-more-funding.html
A new report into the GP workforce has found some practices are deliberately enrolling patients with low health needs in order to have more people on their books and make more money.

Its authors, Professor Des Gorman and Dr Murray Horn, blame the health system’s funding model, calling it ‘accountability free’ because it pays primary healthcare practices and GPs not on the number of consultations with patients but on the number of people on their books.
