    • Google ” the Benny show, Maui residents” he’s totally ripped Biden a new arsehole and I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a visit from the secret service or the FBI , Biden is such filth and absolute proof that the media can get behind the worst human being in Congress, a man that has lied his entire life and used his personal tragedies to promote his political career including a piece where he used the death of his wife for a photo opportunity, what a Cnut he is..
My guess is the American voters that supported him are longing for $1,89c gas prices and the mean tweets back.🤣

While Mr Sio may indeed have been ‘An MP of 15 years, and one of the nation’s most respected Pacific leaders…’ one photograph is all it has taken to destroy whatever credibility he may have had, and he will now be remembered for what he wore on his final day rather than for whatever ‘noble actions’ he may have taken in the past.

He is probably a fine individual, but due to his OWN actions Mr. Sio is now a laughing stock and no amount of appealing to his ‘cultural roots’ as a reason and background for his ‘dress sense’ will ever alter that.

I hope he enjoys his ‘retirement’.

  3. A modern day cowboy has spent many days crossing the desert without water. His horse has already died of thirst. He’s crawling through the sand, certain that he has breathed his last, when all of a sudden he sees an object sticking out of the sand several yards ahead of him.

He crawls to the object, pulls it out of the sand, and discovers what looks to be an old brief case. He opens it and out pops a genie.

But this is no ordinary genie. She is wearing an AUSTRALIAN TAXATION OFFICE badge and a dull grey dress. There’s a calculator in her pocketbook. She has a pencil tucked behind one ear. “Well, cowboy,” says the genie… “You know how I work. You have three wishes.”

“I’m not falling for this”, says the man. “I’m not going to trust an ATO auditor genie.” “What do you have to lose? You’ve got no transportation, and it looks like you’re a goner anyway!” The man thinks about this for a minute, and decides that the genie is right. “OK, I wish I were in a lush oasis with plenty of food and drink.”

    ***POOF***

The cowboy finds himself in the most beautiful oasis he has ever seen and he is surrounded with jugs of wine and platters of delicacies.

OK, cowpoke, what’s your second wish?”

“My second wish is that I were rich beyond my wildest dreams.”

    ***POOF***

The man finds himself surrounded by treasure chests filled with rare gold coins and precious gems.

“OK, cowpuncher, you have just one more wish. Better make it a good one!”

After thinking for a few minutes, the man says. “I wish that no matter where I go, beautiful women will want and need me.”

    ***POOF***

He is turned into a tampon

And the moral of the story?

If the government offers you anything, there’s going to be a string attached….😅

    • Two blokes marooned on a desert island for three years. Lamp washes up. Genie gives them one wish each.
First guy: “I’ve been stuck on this island the size of football field for three years, with only coconuts and this arsehole. All I want is to go home”.
      POOF – he’s gone.
Second guy: “Shit it’s getting kinda lonely round here. I’d like my friend back”.

An Arab is lost in the desert and realizes he’s going to die so decides to have sex with his camel one Last time but is to weak and dehydrated to control the animal ,suddenly he sees a bottle sticking out of the sand and as soon as he touches it a beautiful genie appears and offers him one wish .
Without a seconds thought he blurts out ” give me a hand to hold down this fucking camel:.

  5. Outgoing Dunedin MP Michael Woodhouse says being male cost him his place on National list

Being male has cost him and many other National MPs a high slot on their party list, outgoing Dunedin list MP Michael Woodhouse believes.

On his first interview since quitting his party’s list, National’s Dunedin candidate said he feared that New Zealand’s sixth-largest city was being abandoned by his party, and that the way National was behaving meant it was shedding party votes to Act New Zealand.

“Firstly, there was a contest between diversity and experience and in my case, diversity won,” Woodhouse told the Otago Daily Times when asked about why he was given such a low position on National’s list.

“Secondly, I think that there was a bit of naivety about using the list rankings as a process to send messages, and thirdly I think that there were other factors at play working against me that I won’t elaborate on but I wasn’t part of the caucus club, that’s for sure. I have a habit of saying things without fear or favour.”

Woodhouse’s political world came crashing down at 1.15pm Saturday.

While delivering flyers in Waverley he received a call from the party’s regional electorate chairperson to tell him where he was situated on National’s list.

While he would not specify what number he was given, Woodhouse said it was well below what he had expected, even as a worst-case scenario.

Oh dear the green bitch has risen. Labour was taken over by the woman and look what happened. The Nats will be the same.
Apart from that, the way this was done was cowardly. But that’s what ya get from corporates. Brown nose talent building.
Not that Woodhouse was that much chop anyway.
worth the read just to see how bitchy the outfit is.

    • Colonel Douglas Macgregor is brilliant, his knowledge of the situation is second to none. I particularly liked how he said after WW2 there were 7 4 star generals, now there are 42.
It seems to me that they couldn’t fight their way out of a paper bag. The USA has always been dodgy but when their leader sleeps during the Maui speeches after the fire, Dodgy Joe asleep again, Jesus things have gone from bad to worse. Unless Donald Trump gets in again during the elections the USA is done like a dinner.

Admiral Rachel Levine & before you ask, Sooty, made an honest woman of Martha Peaslee Levine.
Anything more google it yourself. 🙂

Through the range of 1* + Generals
….. The first female generals in U.S. history were nominated for promotion in 1970 by then-president Richard M. Nixon.
Nearly 50 years later, of 976 currently serving generals in the U.S. military, only 69 are female.29/03/2019 ….

Just waiting for Black Rock to apply ESG grades through out the military industrial complex, as it will definitely enforce it ;to be applied to NZ financial institutions, to develop further regulations to cascade over their clients & customers here in NZ 🙂

    • Yup, watched that last night. Been following that Col for a long time now. Him and Ritter. Interesting that a presidential candidate (the one with the impossible name) has similar points on Ukraine. I suspect there are thousands more that secretly have the same opinion but are too scared to state it.

  6. Looks like gin and tonics and new cigar cutters will be back in fashion in Hawke’s Bay. The bay is a swing seat and early indications are it’s heading back to National. National’s candidate, Katie Nimon, is an ace sheila who comes from a very business orientated family. I’m guessing one term in the beehive will probably dull her passion for life and business. Let’s hope I’m wrong.

    • Sooty, the day before the National Caucus rolled Simon Bridges and replaced him with Muller, I had lunch with Ian McKelvie. Just him and me, no one else. The subject of who he was going to support in the next days vote for party Leader, Bridges or Muller came up. I knew Muller from my days growing Kiwifruit in Katikati and my opinion of him was poor, to be kind. I have never met Bridges, but my opinion was at least, a little more generous than that, of Muller.

McKelvie would not answer the question directly no matter how hard I pushed him. All he would say is that Muller would be absolutely great for National, a future PM and lead the Party to greatness. In his opinion and he could see no down side as far as he was concerned.

I expressed concern to McKelvie that I was disappointed that he did not have the Dangly Clockweights to answer the question with a straight answer, but his answer was an indication of the way, eventually, he voted. I also expressed my disappointment of his lack of loyalty to his Leader and for me, that speaks volumes.

Muller was a failure and a poor failure at that. He will not be missed.

Muller is gone and not missed, McKelvie is also going but has been a good Electorate MP and a man who could get Bills through Parliament, something the Toddlidite, could never do.

      • Moo-ller plus matthew hooten stuffed notional in 2020.
along with nicki Kaye and amy adams.

Let us remember that this resulted in liebour getting 50% of the vote.
        Reflect on that.
Notional should have been OK for around 29%.
This was treason, nothing less for a loose as a goose mentally deficient fuckwit like moo-ller

Sure Bridges is soft and fluffy and would not make a good PM but the guts of it is that over a decade of poor candidate selection under goodfellow plus white-anting by farrar and key plus others led to this.
        They are dead to me.

Lithium battery explosions now leading cause of fire fatalities in New York

The New York Fire Department recently reported that so far this year there have been 108 lithium-ion battery fires in New York City, which have injured 66 people and killed 13. According to FDNY Commissioner Laura Kavanagh, “There is not a small amount of fire, it (the vehicle) literally explodes.” The resulting fire is “very difficult to extinguish and so it is particularly dangerous.”

Last year there were more than 200 fires from batteries from e-bikes, EVs and other devices.

  8. Poached from KB:- Comment from Simon:—-

“” Chris Luxon PM exit interview with RNZ circa 2028.

RNZ: Welcome to the studio Chris.

Chris: Its great to be back. You know looking around the studio I feel incredibly proud of the billion dollars my govt spent over the last 3 years on modernising the studios and RNZ’s whole purpose.
We all know how vital it is to communicate the correct information.
RNZ is at forefront of delivering the stories that need to be explained properly.
Its great that Kiwis, little tamariki as you know I like to refer to ordinary hard-working Kiwis, know they can always get the objective truth from RNZ. That’s the KPI my govt has set for RNZ.

RNZ: You can rely upon RNZ to guardian the correct news to the little tamariki. What were some of the highlights of the government you led?

Chris: A whole lot. Laying the groundwork for a central bank digital currency, 15-minute cities rollout, various fast tracked joint ventures with global capital, implementing policy from the UN at the fastest rate in the OECD.
But it’s the personal touches that will remain with me. After signing the new Crown treaty with iwi Willie Jackson came up to me with a wide grin on his face. Willie said Kai ora Chris bro you did the right thing in the end. Willie and I were so excited we hugged.
To get such enthusiastic praise from your political opponents there is no higher pinnacle in politics.

RNZ: With a departing PM there are always swirling rumours.

Chris: Yep I want to put some of them to bed straight away. I only started formal employment talks with Black Rock after I announced my registration. [resignation] Black Rock have been looking for CEO for their Pacific division for a while.
The remuneration on offer reflects the gravitas of the position.
The role involves spending a lot of time in Washington DC coordinating international capital flows with correct political governance.
RNZ’s recent in-depth news story on Black Rock was amazing by the way.
I certainly intend popping back to Aotearoa from time to time. So long as it doesn’t affect my NZ non-tax residency. “”

“They do not like it up’em” on that blog.
Would any one really be surprised?

    • How did that comment get through the moderators ? Have not been over there for several years –is the tide going out? As noted above Curia seemed to be moving away from being “totally rusted on ” to National, a bit.

      8

      0

    • National has made it clear that nothing remotely controversial will enter their space:–
Like no change to Treaty principles, separate Maori wards will continue including Auckland & many other District Councils are proceeding down that track.
Trans men will be able use women’s lavatories etc. to be so Inclusive.
Diversity over Meritocracy as seen in the List preferences.
Net Carbon Zero, Agenda 2030, with more than a nod to Agenda 2050
Maori language, to be swished up, but no real change, as that governance will continue.

A form of Labour but better managed.
So National will now paint stripes on the Trojan Horse, so that it is not so horsey & their shit will glitter like an Unicorn’s dust.

  9. “But the Government said the bright-line test extension was never meant to include the family home and they will change the law to reflect that if needed.

A spokesperson for Prime Minister Chris Hipkins’ office said it was never the Government’s intention to tax the family home and “if needed we will change the law to make that clear”.

“We are seeking clarification on the issue and if there is a loophole the rules will be changed.”

Cyclone victims can be “assured that they will not be affected by the bright-line tax”, the spokesperson added. “

  10. 🚨🤣🚨🤣🚨 ASB is no longer “offering” the highest carded fixed rates in the home loan market.
It seems odd that banks are now ‘competing’ to raise mortgage rates.

ASB’s Monday move up has emboldened another main bank to raise fixed rates with ANZ taking up the challenge. Its increases for fixed terms less than two years are relatively minor, but are up +20 basis points for two years and longer. 🚨🤣🚨🤣🚨

    https://www.1news.co.nz/2023/08/23/watch-idiot-drivers-close-call-with-truck-on-narrow-bridge/
The driver of a hatchback has been caught on dashcam nearly colliding with a truck on a narrow bridge near National Park yesterday.

The close call occurred on State Highway 4 near National Park about 11.40am.

Colin Baker, the driver of the car with the dashcam, had pulled over before a narrow bridge after seeing a pilot vehicle coming the other way.

    9

    0

    • WG, that is a prick of a bridge, on a blind corner and coming from National Park towards Raurimu, it is difficult to see what is approaching that bridge, but yet again another driver not paying attention. I also know Colin Baker well, he runs a shuttle service from National Park to the Tongariro Crossing. Colin would have been most unkind to the driver of the car had he been able to converse with him, it would have been an interesting discussion and fun to have listened too.

  13. The mealy mouthed ACT division of the Uniparty are at it again. This time two candidates in the forthcoming elections have been thrown under the bus:

……”So Mr Seymour, when can we expect those who are unvaccinated to start wearing armbands? When can we expect to see concentration camps and re-education camps? When can we start expecting to see troops on our streets rounding up people?”……….

    https://www.1news.co.nz/2023/08/23/act-candidate-who-compared-vaccine-mandates-to-concentration-camps-quits/

Truth & consequences. Seymour would need a dictionary to define freedom of thought or liberty.

    12

    1

    • Hypocrite and arsehole alert:

Asked if he was concerned about ACT candidates having extreme views, Seymour said was more concerned about people feeling “unable to speak freely”.

“I actually think we’ve got a real problem with these, almost, purity tests about people’s thinking.

      10

      0

    • This is one of my main reservations about ACT. And their unequivocal support for Ukraine. More and more attitudes towards the vaccine, Ukraine and Climate Change are litmus tests for me as to how informed or ignorant people are. And virtually all our present mob fail miserably. Those that were /are unvaxed felt very strongly about being marginalised and the comparisons with the extermination camps were alluded to. People forget that Germans didn’t wake up one day being anti – Jewish. It was a slow meticulous poisoning of the minds, pitting family against family and friends against friends. When it was all over many were horrified when the reality was presented to them, that awakening has not yet happened in New Zealand.

      14

      0

      • One of my main issues with ACT is their total lack of understanding of any foreign affairs/policy matters. Ukraine is a classic but there have been a few others. They have had a very large dose of TDS.
Their vaccine and mandate stance can only be explained, in my view, by them along with the other main parties getting a massive bribe from Pfizer.

        11

        0

      • Exactly

I am vehemently opposed to ACT on All major issues .

The chances of them implementing ‘election promises’ when they are about 12% so 1 in 8 votes is remote.

We do know right now with a clear track record they are :
-Severely anti Trump therefore as far as I am concerned this makes them pro Biden, pro Hunter Biden; friends of the crooked USA FBI and its boss, the politicised US DOJ.
-We know they are pro war, pro Pentagon and hegemony; and want Ukraine to escalate such that they even have fundraisers to get money for more war.
-We know they are pro vax at a very draconian level and have never faced facts about how useless it has been in spite of heavy and authoritarian comments pushing it
-They are not a libertarian’s arsehole
-Seymour said he was against the draconian gun laws in early April 2019 but did not even turn up to vote. Sure he said he was ‘held up’ by churnalists but this could have been staged.
It is clear when a vote is being called in parliament. I think he was deceptive here.
        https://www.newsroom.co.nz/seymour-misses-key-gun-law-vote

What aspiring and actual politicians SAY they will do is political promises ….which means nothing.
Johnny keys in 2008 got 45% and 58 seats and did not touch WFF or RMA. He tried for a flag referendum – big deal -and did what he made no mention of – signed up UNDRIP, entered paris climate accord for taxpayers; never did a tax cut; raised benefits.

political ‘policies’ are like a 4 years old promises .
        WOFT.

        • Who would believe David Seymour moving a vote of “No Confidence” if he was a Minister of whatoever, and so push for a “snap election”
Will David Seymour really go on the “cross benches” on principles?

Likewise Winston Peters if given a bauble, Principles? ….. yeah right …

None of the above 2 would risk losing that income for the next 3 years.

Maybe I am wrong, but whatoever Matt King could see that from a “cross benches” for essential support, he declared that was what he would do in not supporting legislation that goes against their points. and call for a snap election.
Sure more gnarly wording, and just what is it with the DNZ Board?

The only part is like ACT’s Board & Seymour have had issues
Same as DNZ’s Board & King.
How bad that is? …. hmmm ….. is getting to a point on not caring a less.

Principles? ….yeah right….. and can they be trusted? …. Really ….
Can we put up a bounty, like bonuses or major penalties, fines on certain policies that are done or not done
          No excuses accepted.

Meanwhile kiwis are struggling to pay money rent to banks and still feed their family.

So, ‘Nohotima’s lawyer Manaaki Terekia said Nohotima was remorseful and had taken responsibility for his actions.’, which in translation means that ‘he’s really, truly sorry, but ONLY that he got caught’.

Unfortunately, such ‘remorse’ has become quite predictable, and makes the much-vaunted ‘guardianship’ and ‘care for the environment’ narrative fascicle. This chap got caught, but be assured that the he’s not the only one doing such things, since if there’s money to be made…

  20. Bullshit Tinetti. The rewriting of history was always part of your purview.

Why are schools sacrificing libraries despite plummeting literacy rates?

“I am gutted that a number of schools have got rid of libraries,” says Tinetti, “because libraries are vitally important to a love of learning, a love of literature, a love of words, full stop.”

    • Ask him about his awsome one news poll result 🙂 0.0% is quite the achievement and takes real skill to destroy 100% of party vote in 3months.
Pity he didnt stay with national or join the greens, he wouldve been more use to the country by sinking them instead.

  21. Act Party candidate Elaine Naidu Franz resigns after comparing vaccine mandates to Nazi concentration camps

An Act candidate has resigned after her historical comments comparing Covid-19 vaccine mandates to Nazi concentration camps came to light.

Another candidate has apologised and renounced online comments which suggested drownings were connected to the effect of the vaccine, but he has been kept on as a candidate.

Act leader David Seymour is also facing questions regarding two other former candidates and says he is likely to check why one stepped away from the party.

    • The parasite class are feeling the heat if not the love:

…….”In the last two to three years there has been a lot of negative coverage of the residential rental market. It has not discouraged me, but I know landlords who will no longer admit to being landlords, and landlords who are selling up as they don’t like how they are being portrayed, and they don’t like how they are being treated by the Government.”……

      Fucking greedy arsehole.

        • What got me was the way the jerk was moaning about the low status society accords landlords. It seems as if he thinks that outbidding a family on a house then renting it out at an extortionate rental subsidised by government should put him on a rung above payday loan sharks or journalists.

If he doesn’t like it he could sell up & put the money into some business the public has better regard for. Like owning a brothel or a Bottle O.

          • Why don;t you tell us where you old landlady fiddled with you. You have a deranged attitude to a perfectly sensible rational service that has been in existence for hundreds of years.
He is exactly correct with his information.
Assuming that he didn’t buy his houses quite a few years ago what difference do you thibkj it would have made.
Most people who rent are renting because they have made no effort to own a house, simply don’t want to own a house or are in the process of making that decision.
Plenty of renters who are a group of friends who want to live in a place temporarily on so many other reasons.
Perhaps you want the tax payer, which most old farmers never were, to own them all?
You belong in the Labour Party. They think everyone should be equal.

See a phyciatrist if you can’t get the land lady’s finger out ya arse.

  22. A comment flogged from BFD.

“I was talking to someone who’s fairly high up in Wellington Circles the other day.

They said national fully expect to get in with a landslide, however they really have no idea yet of how to address the massive NZ debt servicing. It seems history repeats itself. Labour blow all the money plus what the borrow and along come National and try to fix the big mess.

My pick is very big “Restructuring “(lay-offs) in the Public Service and wage cuts for those aren’t sacked. (House prices in Wellington might dip a fraction) They might even put a temporary stop of giving Tribes more millions, every time they squark.

Now that would be serious. …..”

These National people are just absolutely stupid and arrogant. They have had one good poll relative to Labour and they think they will win in a landslide. They might but I would not put any money on it. They seem to forget that woke Luxon and Willis have not really lifted their polling throughout the year.

Many of the BFD posters are like those on here — do not really like anyone, but are moving towards NZF almost as a protest vote.
