  1. Great start to the blog this morning Ed, and yes I trust gas station sushi more than I trust any of the politicians from this last lot in parliament. I would never have the sushi from a gas station either.
Voting for me is the hardest it has ever been I have never been in such a quandary as to where my vote will go. Definitely NOT any of the above, nor greens or Maori, Maybe DNZ as an outsider for the party vote and no one for the candidate? That is my thinking at this stage, however I am certain that act and national if they get in will be no change from the liarbor party greens and Maori in now. you take your choice and go with what you decide I guess all a bit of no change.
Be careful out there today you never know…….

    • They are scrapping with one another now but if they get the numbers then the fight is on for Ministers jobs. Imagine that Willis has more finance experience than Andrew Bayly or some of the Act people. Well, that would be a laugh. Another female todd muller.

It would be interestingif Ed has the time to put up the list of their possible winners in each of these two parties and see what skills and experience they each have and then match them to Cabinet and senior positions.
I personally don’t think they have the numbers to rule alone, nor the Nats & the Greens which is what baldy and Willis would do.
That still means they need a third party.

If you look at the leaders of those parties the only one that stands tall is Matt King. and the policies are well thought out and articulated. Matt will not compromise much if at all for the sake of a limo like your mate winny the pooh bear or others. In fact, I don’t think that other than Te patti cakes the Nats won’t want to partner with any other than the Greens or Labour or Act.

      No wonder people are confused.
Luxflakes is a confusion. appeaser like most catholics.

    • It’s quite simple. Which Party promises to keep our democracy sacrosanct? That’s all you need to worry about. The rest is commentary.

Of course that doesn’t mean that party will deliver on its promise, but if you are voting and want our way of life to continue without being under the thumb of Mardee, you have to take a chance.

  2. Yes Lizziep who to vote for. For me quite simple, none of the current lot. DNZ but if no shift on the polls, well I don’t give a shit that Winnie may be a proven liar, so what, he is a politician, that’s what they do.
Other than Matt King he is the only one promising to do anything about the out of control Maori shit and a proper Covid enquiry, that is good enough for me.
If the announcement yesterday of a joint housing agreement between Labour, Greens and National doesn’t tell you something then nothing will.

        • nah back to work today for me hp, might take a 3day wknd and head back over next month if silage/balage season has a slow start at work.

theres a cool wee spot to camp at jacksons about 1km past neils beach, a theres a big slip to the left and just before the culvert/bridge thingy theres a track that curls around behind the gravel berm out along the top of the beach. its hard ground your camper will have no worries in there, drive around about 50m and youll see a couple of old fire pits by the native bush. beaut spot to park up and camp, wicked sunsets and sunrise from there too.

        NZ first for Iaasb guys.

Brillant thinking going with the stinking.

Shave the beard off it, might let some light into your eyes.

        • no vikey, ill dye my beard yellow and blue so you lot wont know if im supporting act or standing with ukraine.
i think someone that votes winnie but understands hes a proven liar is more educated then a deluded dnz voter that cant see reality…. pot kettle there mr vikey.
winnie will get mps in parliament, dnz wont. even if winnie only does 1 thing he promises and renegs on the rest he will still achieve more then dnz ever will.

          7

          2

          • IAASB, Viking is without doubt on the DNZ payroll ,he’s gotta be to be promoting an ex pig and failed MP as a leader of our country, I detest the drunken dwarf Peters but would prefer him for a DNZ man who has tasted the trough and wants his nose back in it .

            5

            3

          • I really don’t think Winston will renege this time. He needs to leave a real legacy, and this is his chance.

If he does for some reason, I’d say that’s the end of NZ First, and whoever is lining up to take over when Winston retires, will definitely not want that.

I’d say at this stage, people voting with their heart isn’t going to change the outcome, but at least they’ll be happy in themselves. I hope Winston holds the balance of power and uses it for our advantage, not his.

Not long until we find out.

      • I don’t believe any of them Kea, they are all wanting to get back at that trough of money from the tax payer. And by the look of them at Bellamys as well. The way David Seymour turned onto the unjabbed was a very good signal to me that he cannot be trusted. Nude Nut is so woke he will go with the greens and Maori party too,and we won’t see a difference between the liarbor camp and the new national. Winnie is out for Winnie and no one else other than wristy jones who is great at not saying where the 3 billion dollars is. It is a pathetic lot of wankers

  3. All of a sudden, just out of the blue, Tuwharetoa wanted to buy the assets of Ruapehu Alpine Lifts on Mt Ruapehu, a type of business Tuwharetoa had no knowledge in running previously. No one had heard of Tuwharetoa’s purchase bid until it was mysteriously found in a bottom draw at some Bureaucrats office desk in Wellington, some months after the Receivers had gone through the Bids and the Government had approved two purchasers for RAL assets.

Then we are told, Tuwharetoa, were doing due diligence on the Books of Ruapehu Alpine Lifts and they appeared all of a sudden, to then become the preferred Bidder for RAL, despite the Government previously giving previous approval to two other Bidders to purchase, said RAL assets.

Now all of a sudden, the tricky IWI, Tuwharetoa, no longer want to buy the assets of Ruapehu Alpine Lifts, having the privilege of going through RAL’s Books and claim any sale of RAL assets must be stopped because, “the sale breaches the 2018 Ngāti Tūwharetoa Claims Settlement Act.” Really!

This is nothing but a right out Rort by IWI. What Tuwharetoa want is the assets of RAL to be purchased by Government and be given to Tuwharetoa. I note the Labour Government Ministers are rushing to have a meeting with Tuwharetoa next week “to discuss IWI’s concerns.”

In other words, the Labour Government are meeting IWI to acquiesce to Tuwharetoa’s demands as soon as next week, to ensure Labour gets Tuwharetoa IWI members votes in next months election. Nothing surer.

While agreeign with your statement that ‘… The Labour Government are meeting IWI to acquiesce to Tuwharetoa’s demands as soon as next week, to ensure Labour gets Tuwharetoa IWI members votes in next months election’, I would also hypothesise that a financial donation’ (even ‘donations’) of some size will possibly be also finding it’s way into various un-auditted bank accounts in the Caymans or in Zurich.

It’s not been unknown in NZ politics…

              Ardern shut-up ???
              Ardern will teach’y’u Sooty! 🙂
Do not send me a bum steer.

Ardern is setting up & lecturing many others how to internationally shut-up & entrench more controls onto twitter, facebook, Utube, etc., like in the EU, Ireland, Canada,
So they can come after RebelNews, & blogs, in particular blogs like this one, YSB.

Have you freely read Brenton Tarrant’s manifesto yet Sooty?
Did the police search your computers & phones etc.. & plus find the evidence of Swiss & Cayman bank accounts?

Not doing very well is he and he was annotated by the bitch and looks like he will note be standing on the podium on election night as either PM, leader of the opposition!
Somewhere between closing of voting and announcement of the new government he commits Hari Kari!

              • Ardern has not shut up, & nor will Hipkins.
Always another well paid place will be made for them.
All will be nicely promoted to rule over us, 🙁

Just a little bit of boo hoo, whether pushed or jumped., — so what?
Just like a cow, when its calf is weaned, a bit of bawling, & running up & down, then gets on to the next phase of controlling your life.

Hipkins will not notice, as he hands over the relay batten to nude nut.
It would be just the same as looking into a mirror.

                Agenda-30 Agenda-50 will continue.
More Maori fresh water, well set up now.
Parts of the Co-Governance will continue.
The costly Fresh Water Farm Plans will continue.
The costly Farm Emission Plans will continue.
Net Zero Carbon Plans will continue, as the money will still be taken off you for re-distribution.

So much to make Hipkins very happy at the change over.

        • Case in point. Here Whitey deals to a bro who seems to have randomly stopped outside Whitey’s home.

This clip from the American Firearms Association starts with this reminder.

1- We fight to defend our gun rights to keep our GOVERNMENT IN CHECK.

2- To defend ourselves and our loved ones.

Make no mistake, if the American government had its way, the USA would be run like China. The US government knows if they every started to move on their citizens, good ole boys to suburban realists to toddlers in prams would all have guns aimed at the authorities.

As for NZ? Lambs for the slaughter.

A fair enough comment, but in the interests of reasoned debate, please present your case for the party YOU support (ACT from memory) and tell us why, given ACT’s well-documented actions over the Vaxx protest and seeless’s sympathy towards the NWO, we should vote for them.

Over to you. I’m sure we’re all looking forward to your reply.

          • I’m no fence sitter but they have a valid point about ACT.

However – If ACT maintained any other position on the vax, they would not be above 5% today. The media would have seen to that. I don’t think an ACT government would implement the sadistic cruel authoritarianism we have had under Ardernism.

The other point is there is no viable alternative to ACT. Any port in a storm and we are in a killer of a storm right now.

  5. One more day to fishing. Just a small back pack and rod. None of SB’s drones, winches, satellites, long lines, GPS and a ute load of tech. Plus soy sandwiches the missus made me.

Kea the minimalist doesn’t do what others tend to do and my best spots are all dangerous and fussy places to fish. But when it works I am generally catching fish within a few meters of where im standing, often right at my feet. Probably just Kahawai tomorrow and I can’t touch the Blue Cod – which love my lure baits.

  7. Went to the “River of Freedom” documentary last night, at the jam packed Embassy theatre in Wellington . It is an old style large movie theatre renovated by Peter Jackson for LOR premiers.

Great doco, really well produced and a timely reminder of the distain shown to NZ by the politicians and the Police. Speaking to a friend afterwards and she said it was great partially because it was so unbiased —not a word I had thought of using, but she was correct.

The viewing was made better because there were obviously a lot of people there, who were involved in the protest. As a result it was almost like an “interactive” viewing because there was quite a bit of cheering and booing in the theatre. Booing for when Ardern, other politicians and chief cop Costa were shown on the screen.

    Standing ovation at the end.

So when you get an opportunity, it is a must see.

  9. How do you put lipstick on this pig, when 5,000 NZ nurses have applied to register in Australia in a year, so 100 a week are off, and the wizz kid that has convinced himself that nothing was mandated has managed to attract just one nurse from overseas over same time period. people that voted and still vote for these mindless fools, deserve everything they get served up, its the average person sitting paying tax to keep them there I really feel for
If the corrupt media can turn this into a Labour win, I give up, there cannot be that many stupid people, but maybe I am just old skeptic

  10. ***Kiri Allan’s legal letter to media: Paywalled article.

Three media outlets and a popular blog site have corrected articles in relation to Kiri Allan’s arrest in July, after legal letters from a lawyer representing the former justice minister.
Barrister Christopher Stevenson wrote to several outlets this week, saying that references to police dogs tracking Allan were inaccurate and defamatory.
She reserved her legal rights, with the letter giving a deadline to correct the reporting. It is understood she also sought an apology.
Both Stuff – owner of The Post – and Newshub have corrected earlier stories, while Kiwiblog has corrected an earlier post and apologised to Allan. A syndicated Stuff article on the RNZ website has also been corrected.
Former justice minister Kiri Allan wrote to news outlets seeking a correction.
I can confirm a lawyer representing Kiri Allan contacted The Post this week in relation to the use of police dogs on the evening the then justice minister was involved in a motor vehicle accident,” The Post editor Tracy Watkins told Media Insider.
Her lawyer suggested a reference to police dogs used at the scene defamed his client. We disagree.
We were happy to clarify that, while the dogs were deployed to the scene to assist with scene inquiries – a fact confirmed in writing by police and witnessed by our journalists on the scene – they were ultimately not required for tracking.”
A Warner Bros Discovery spokeswoman said of the Newshub story: “The article in question has been updated and it is our view that the matter has now been satisfactorily resolved.”
Part of Kiwiblog’s correction and apology pointed out that it was quoting the Prime Minister’s own initial statement at the time of Allan’s arrest – in particular the incorrect information she had been charged with reckless driving and resisting arrest.
A spokesman for the Prime Minister told Media Insider the PM’s office had not been advised of any legal action being taken by Allan.
That is a private matter for her. The Prime Minister’s statement from early in the day on 24 July reflects the information he was provided by her at that time.
Police sent a statement shortly after that included clarification of the specific charges. We can update the [Beehive] website to note the specific charges she ultimately faced.”
Police have charged Allan with careless use of a motor vehicle and refusing to accompany a police officer.
Her case is due in court next week. Allan is not required to appear in person.***

    • It would seem that the indigenous system with its superior scientific mythology would know just as much about Covid, lock-downs, masks, Global Warming/Change so it can be justifiably backed against Western Scientism, as they are just as ‘truthy’.

Now do tell me, how much koha, gifting did they receive, just to make sure it is “fair-pay” in equity.

  11. One other thing about the doco we saw last night. It showed Seymour, Bishop and Simon O’Connor speaking in Parliament against the legislation that allowed the mandates to be bought in. They did this, but then went on to refuse to talk to the protestors ! So what happened in between ? Wasn’t it Seymour who claimed he was the one who drafted the letter signed by all the leaders saying they would not talk to the protestors ?

At least the Labour bunch can say the voted to enable the mandates, so they would have looked bigger fools than they are, to go and talk to those Kiwis opposing them.

There was also a little voice clip of NN saying he was proud of the MPs for not going down to talk to the protesters.

BTW. I very rarely watch Parliament, but I was quite impressed at how well O’Connor spoke.

    9

    0

    • Father O’Connor to youse !
He fully trained as a catholic priest.
He just did not cross the line into thge forbidden zone.

Bishop is an experienced debater and top in this field since his skool days.
So he is used to arguing for the affirmative or negative and present a position he is told to take even if he does not believe it.
      So there is that .
Because he debates for something does not mean he believes.
How many polis believe even what they say ????

Seymour was probably told the protesters were Russians (NZ has had Russians under the bed phobia since the 1870s)
Since See moore is rabidly a You Crane supporter even doing fund raising for them we can see more of his myopia.

  12. https://www.1news.co.nz/2023/09/08/tonga-eruption-caused-fastest-ever-underwater-flow-scientists/
Last year’s devastating volcanic eruption near Tonga “triggered the fastest underwater flow ever recorded” in what Kiwi scientists say was an “astonishing event”.

New analysis produced by scientists from around the world, including NIWA, indicates the flows travelled up to 122km/h — up to 50% faster than any other recorded.

Last year’s eruption and ensuing tsunami severed Tonga’s only international cable in two places and effectively plunged the country into a communications blackout.

Lane said: “What’s impressive is that Tonga’s international cable lies in a seafloor valley south of the volcano, meaning the flow had enough power to go uphill over huge ridges, and then back down again.

When he got there the mechanic told him it could take an hour or two to find out what is wrong with his car. The penguin was getting hot so he asked the mechanic where he could cool down.
    The mechanic replied
“there is an ice cream parlour a few blocks up the street”
So the penguin thanked him and waddled up to the parlour. When he got there he ordered the biggest cup of vanilla ice cream they had.
After a while of enjoying his ice cream, he started to head back to the mechanic.
When he got back the mechanic said:
“Hey it looks like you blew a seal”
    Then the penguin shouted:
“No no! It’s just vanilla ice cream!”

“Teenager Tells What’s Happening In Schools
Yesterday I received an email from a year 10 student (he is 14 years old) in a New Zealand high school. This is what he said:

    —————————-

“I am are absolutely fed up with the near abolishing of any culture that isn’t Maori in our schools.

In fact I’m so upset with my subjects for next year because I’ve chosen classics (Roman history) to get away from the bull crap and would you believe it now in the classics curriculum you have to compare Roman culture to Maori culture 🙄.

Anyways thanks again Julian And The Stop Co-governance term, for making our voices heard.”— “

    • The Romans were driving round in chariots on cobbled roads, having orgies in bath houses with central heating, and busy building an empire which spanned much of the known world at the time. The Maoris were not doing that stuff.

      8

      0

      • Oh Saggy I am sure they were doing all that stuff before the Romans in their road building, I am sure they built the pyramids before the Egyptians even thought about it. I think they were part of the Odyssey crowd. There is nothing the Maori cannot do, according to them, mostly they now receive benefits and they are stellar at that/////////////

The same week the city, Denver, Colorado, agreed to pay $5,000,000 to seven Black Lives Matter rioters who claimed wrongful arrest for violating a curfew imposed in an effort to stop looting and burning.

Chris Hipkins ordered to apologise for breach of Official Information Act

In a formal finding that has not been made public until now, Chief Ombudsman Peter Boshier has upheld a complaint by the Herald about a weeks-long delay in the release of government documents relating to the extreme flooding in Auckland earlier this year.

The rebuke follows Hipkins’ comments in May that he “absolutely expects” ministers to comply with the disclosure rules after Willie Jackson failed on several occasions to meet the obligations imposed by the OIA.

    • ZB was caning him and Labour this morning. And rightly so. The blatant lies regarding National are over the top even by electioneering standards. Does Labour not think even the densest voters are not starting to take notice of this?

    • How can you trust this dishonest, scheming little Weasel. And he wants people to trust and vote for him.

Nothing but a despicable short arsed grinning two faced Liar. Can’t wait to see this prick groveling in defeat on the evening of the 14th October.

      • ”See this prick grovelling in defeat on the evening of the 14th October.”

I can already see his speech in front of party faithful… that being forklift drivers, beanies and people who post at ”The Standard.”

        Chippy:

”’ Thankyou. At 8.40pm tonight, I rang Chris Luxon to concede the election and wish him and National all the best ( Robbo starts to whimper). I know many of you are disappointed. But we can all be proud of Labour’s performance over the last six years. Those weren’t easy years. Covid was a major hurdle we had to overcome. And we did( weak applause as cleaning lady still in uniform sobs). I can say this is not the end of Labour. Yes, we have lost good people tonight. But Labour will rebuild, starting tomorrow. Never forget we are a broad church. We are Maori, Trans and the down trodden ( Carmel Sepuloni suddenly thinks: fuck, I’ve lost the limo.) So, in closing, I say to you all, Kia Kaha, be strong my friends and help the Red Team rebuild. We will be back ( Angry Andy thinks: yeah in the 22nd century). Chippy gives the girlfriend a hug and leaves the stage.

    • BN., I note on the Charities Website that virtually all FACTS details, like Postal Address, Trustees / Officers details and most information are all restricted.

I wonder why? Looks like a transparent and open Charity. Not!

Hardly meets the criteria of a Charity one would have thought.

    • “The Ministry of Education in a 2022 OIA they said they didn’t record information on why teachers might have left but did introduce a “Covid” reason category in November 2021 that showed 447 teachers had left. This 2023 OIA asks the same question and gets the response that 42 teachers were terminated.”

Fucking Bullshit. 1000 education personnel were part of the original case against the government. The total number of principals was about 35, and there were a further 2500 that did not join the case. Every teacher that was fired was reported to the Teachers Council, somebody should OIA them for the number of terminations they received as it’s mandatory for a principal to report a termination for any reason to the council. My choice not to get vaxed has put me in the same register as paedophiles and deviants, and that fucking pisses me off.

‘Desperate’ Webb accused of spreading misinformation

In a newsletter to his supporters this week, and posted on his Facebook page a day ago, Labour’s Christchurch central candidate Duncan Webb has claimed that under National the Matariki holiday would be “abolished” and that 10-days’ sick leave per year were “at risk” — but National has committed to keep both.

  21. The trend looks good, but as always, bugger the polls, as is it is counting chickens before the hatch.
It is the change of the batten to another set of muppets to stay in lock-step on the Agenda-30 & Agenda-50 of the 17 SDG’s.

…. ACT has risen one point to 14 per cent, the Greens are also up one to 13 per cent.
    .
Te Pāti Māori are on 3 per cent, which is no change from last month. NZ First is on 4 per cent, down two points from last month.
    .
On those numbers, National and Act could govern comfortably alone with 64 seats.
NZ First would be out of Parliament. ….

      • Desperate? Maybe knocked off the teat, of being overpaid & perks. …..
Labour will soon be over it, like a cow bawling & taking you on, when you wean the calf.

But they will know, the ideology will continue!
Quietly they know they have handed the baton over to safe hands of Luxon & Seymour & maybe ineffectual chaotic Peters, in the pursuit of Net Zero Carbon, Agenda-30 Agenda-50 & the UN’s 17 SDG’s.

Who believes that Farm Emission Plans will be stopped?
Maybe, the version of the 3 waters slowed or stopped.
But who believes the original Maori Fresh Water will be stopped?

Nor do they care about the damage done to the people, the economy by inflation, health, education, housing, etc. as it will take a decade to sort out but the roots & seeds will be there for next time.

  22. Some surveys require interpretation. Others speak for themselves.

This year’s Deloitte and Chapman Tripp Election Survey of businesses is in the latter camp.

After years of polite grumbling, the Government’s performance was slammed by New Zealand’s business leaders.

Only six percent of respondents thought the Government had a coordinated plan to increase economic performance. In contrast, 85 percent of respondents answered ‘no.’

    3. Number of reps at the gym well down. Weak as a kitten. ( may be too soon after last workout)

    4. Look noticeably more ripped.

    • guy i was pighuntin with last night is a gym nut, his house is more kitted out then most gyms and his missus owns the local gym aswell so theyre both nuts on it.
he works out 2hrs every day without fail, he told me some crackup stories about your steroids too bro. no wonder youre an angry bird at times and permanent incel…. he gave them up after the 3rd hottie in a row he bedded and couldnt get it to flinch one lil bit.
fwiw my lardarse blew him to bits on the hills, i got to the 2 bail ups and had the pigs stuck before he even got there. his 2days per week cardio has nothing on stupid boys 7 days per week sitting on his arse eating pies.

btw i could lose 2.5kg just having a decent morning dump, hell increasing my water intake over 3 or 4days id lose that much.

      • Nice story.

2 hours every day is way way way way waaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much. Three times a week for around 30 minutes is heaps and possibly too much for some people. If you train with enough intensity. You get stronger when you rest, not when you train. Take out the rest and you make slow or stalled improvement.

Roids are more of a thing for your generation. It doesn’t matter as millenials can rarely get it up anyway.

Yep I’ve lost 3kg in a single run. You lose so much with a dump because you are full of shit. I am helping with that. Thank me…

i just eat too much bro, takes alot to power this workhorse… i just scoffed 2 mountainous plates of spare ribs and 3 baked potatoes. there was a salad aswell so that made it healthy and good for me///
as long as i can still see my dick without sucking in my gut im not too worried, when ive gotta start getting a boner to see it then i know its time to lose weight

  24. The family and friends of a New Zealand-born teenager have been left heartbroken after the 17-year-old schoolgirl died in her sleep.

Melody Southon was found dead on Tuesday morning in her Melbourne home when she did not wake up for school.

The shocking death of the teen, who her sisters describe as a “beautiful” person and “role model” and others as “bubbly, fun and bright”, has left family across New Zealand and Australia devastated.

Many are wondering how a vibrant girl could have died at such a young age.

    ELON PREVENTS NUCLEAR WAR?

Elon Musk covertly instructed his engineers to deactivate Starlink’s satellite communications network during a MAJOR Ukrainian offensive.

This action was taken to intentionally thwart a surprise attack by Ukraine against the Russian naval fleet.

    Elon Musk @elonmusk

There was an emergency request from government authorities to activate Starlink all the way to Sevastopol.

The obvious intent being to sink most of the Russian fleet at anchor.

If I had agreed to their request, then SpaceX would be explicitly complicit in a major act of war and conflict escalation.

  27. Stories for WG.
Lady down the road had sheep ,two ducks and a pukeko before the flood. Didn’t know what happened to them.
The ducks have returned with a friend ,the pukeko is back along with a rooster.
    Sheep all lost.
Another friend had about thirty sheep and when the water was rising thought he would put them in the woodshed with a bit of height.
    Lost all of them.
His neighbour has sheep and some of them ended up on his roof somehow.
Keep hearing harrowing stories as I catch up with more people.Three hundred properties in red category and many.many upset people.Little communication and government seems to be giving directives.
A guy I hadn’t seen for ages left with his wife to take her for chemo on the morning of the flood and they weren’t going to let them cross the bridge out.
Eventually convinced them but they never came back for weeks as she has been in hospital. His place is a mess.Believes they would have drowned if they had stayed.
Another lady in her sixties has moved in to a shed and lined it now has been red stickered so doesn’t know what to do.Lost her husband previously to cancer and her son to suicide.

    • Thanks for that wo. How awful for the people involved. Not good all those animals losing their lives either. I hope HB has not been abandoned now time has moved on, forgotten after six months, seems many flood victims will feel so? The media have been very lax with their coverage, guessing that will be directed from Wellington as is their political whim. Hope things are improving for you and you will be back in your home asap.

    • its not the worst thing ive seen them discharge from that site, sulfuric acid may even do that fucked river a world of wonders.
theyve discharged a few algal blooms over recent years too which literally turned the river lime green. the place only just got upgraded a few years back, it was non compliant for many years but council voted to overturn all the fines it gave itself for it.

then throw in the poor lil kid found dead in the ponds a few years back (imo i rekon foul play) and those oxidation ponds have a bad reputation.

  28. Labour is promising to trial a rebate scheme aimed at decarbonising homes, if re-elected.
Homeowners doing a “deep retrofit” – upgrading a whole house all at once by installing double glazing, insulation, airtightness upgrades and replacing gas heating and hot water – could get a rebate of 30 percent of the total cost, capped at $18,000.

    https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/election-2023/497571/labour-unveils-deep-retrofit-home-rebates-policy?fbclid=IwAR03QoDjcdbiLs0a5W5VIbTor1Woav1P96OCsrIKexwg-i8QJIoPOCdMm_o

good I have 7 that apparently are in need of double glazing, new hot water systems and so on. Reckon I can do a lot with 18k each. still that’s only the interest back they have already taken

Stupid bastards have no idea. Its just desparation.
