  1. Dunno about the the first picture,
but the second one might be Mike Hunty
    heading to his local bar.

Or, it could be a snapshot of the Bird
in his ‘dirt bike’ racing days.

Third possibility is Viking with his new
    mobile blue-rinse scooter.

    Whatever, enjoy your day folks.

    • Yes Karma is BS. Certain traits may increase the chances of certain outcomes, but it is not based on some mysterious force for justice and fairness. Life has no referee.

“Feinstein was born Dianne Emiel Goldman[1] on June 22, 1933[19] in San Francisco to Leon Goldman, a prominent surgeon;[20] and his wife Betty (née Rosenburg), a former model. Her paternal grandparents were Jewish immigrants from Poland. Her maternal grandparents, the Rosenburgs, were from Saint Petersburg, Russia.[21] While they were of German-Jewish ancestry,[22] they practiced the Russian Orthodox (Christian) faith, as was required for Jews in Saint Petersburg.[21][23] Christianity was passed down to Feinstein’s mother, who insisted on her transferral from a Jewish day school to a prestigious local Catholic school, but Feinstein lists her religion as Judaism.[24]”

      • Here’s another one that will be interesting to watch. Democrats will be shitting themselves for what is likely to come out.

Donald Trump Is Suing Christopher Steele
News breaking from The Daily Mail reflects that President Donald Trump has filed a civil action against Orbis Business Intelligence and its founder, Christopher Steele. You will likely remember that Chris Steele wrote the infamous “Steele Dossier” that became the underpinning of the Carter Page FISA application, replacing the legally required Woods file.

Interestingly, Trump appears to be using the British court system, and laws around libel actions that are much more beneficial to the plaintiff in the U.K. There is an initial 2-day court hearing scheduled for October 16th.

  2. Revy, thank goodness for that she was unbelievable in congress. Stupid old woman who was not capable of looking after her own affairs but could do the nations. It shows the disgrace the democrats have for the nation. Now it’s time for the republicans to loose Mitch McConnell and things will improve, but only slightly.

  3. A couple was having quarrel in a lodge and the man calls the manager and says “I’m having an argument with my wife, and now she wants to jump out the window please come fast” Manager:”I am sorry sir this is your personal issue, please solve it by yourself.” Husband: “The window is not opening, this is not personal issue this is a maintenance issue.”

      • SB, yes just match it up with Honkey’s organisations. I am sure they got on a pro rata basis the same amount of funding and that it was just as wisely spent. You know, just like painting and refurbishing every one, of the many, many Marae around here and building new Marae with out buildings, meeting houses, solar panels and so on. One here, currently being built in the absolute middle of nowhere has taken nearly 3 years to construct it is that large and remote. Even try getting a grant from Lotto, Maori organisations take and get preference over other grants. Yep defintely disadvantaged and oppressed.

  7. Just been sent this from NZ Loyal apparently:

    ATTN: All New Zealanders

You might like to circulate this to your friends.

SECRET PLAN TO CONFISCATE ALL NEW ZEALANDERS’ PROPERTIES:
NZ LOCAL GOVERNMENT FUNDING AGENCY GUARANTEE
    https://www.lgfa.co.nz/investors/guarantee-arrangements

The LOCAL GOVERNMENT FUNDING AGENCY (LGFA) was set up under the Local Government Act 2011. No New Zealand local government agency or organization, city or regional council can borrow unless it borrows funds through the LOCAL GOVERNMENT FUNDING AGENCY (LGFA), a Limited Liability Company – and to do so, each borrower council must sign an [unscrupulous] GUARANTEE & INDEMNITY DOCUMENT putting all Ratepayers’ properties with their rates revenues up for security against the debt.

If any Local Government debt in the future becomes unsustainable, or if a council defaults on its debt, then the overseas bankers can extract what is owed, by way of extortionist rates rises from ALL ratepayers, and if they can’t pay, the bankers can sell or confiscate the ratepayers’ properties, homes, farms and anything else to recover the debt (which incidentally is growing enormously by the day and is completely out of control).

This right now means all local government and central government elections are now a complete and utter farce and we are living under a tyranny already. It also means all political parties and politicians, who do not recognise this, are themselves also a farce. All other issues are subordinate to this primary fundamental issue, because historically, the cornerstone of democracy has always been the right of all citizens to freely own private property – and whenever this has been removed, as it has been in this GUARANTEE (although most people don’t know it yet), you are then living in a Fascist or Communist dictatorship.

For people who struggle to understand this legal jargon. Simplified, the LGFA’s debt obligations are guaranteed by its council shareholders, borrower and guarantor councils [WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF RATEPAYERS] on behalf of ratepayers. Each borrower council must sign the GUARANTEE. All councils in NZ that have borrowed off the LGFA have treacherously signed the GUARANTEE. Tauranga City Council Mayor Crosby was the first. Surely, even a first year high school child would never sign such a treacherous document as this imposing such blatant, potential dire consequences on those he represents.

To hide who these criminal banking pirates actually are from the uninformed and simple-minded, the lawyers have created a “SECURITY TRUSTEE” who acts on behalf of the BENEFICIARIES (the secret overseas bankers involved).

While the chickens haven’t quite come home to roost yet and the bankers haven’t begun confiscating homes or farms as they plan, you might like to do yourself a small favour by first reading about the stupendous powers the “Security Trustee” has over the borrowers and the ratepayers they represent in the 116-page GUARANTEE AND INDEMNITY DOCUMENT – and learn a bit more about the SECURITY TRUST DEED and view the LIST OF LGFA GUARANTORS AS AT 31 MARCH 2023 to appreciate exactly who all the principal treacherous mayors actually are.

Here, just for the record, is the latest “LGFA STATEMENT OF INTENT 2023-2026” for those who may appreciate what level of debt they are dealing with:
    https://www.lgfa.co.nz/sites/default/files/2023-06/LGFA%20Statement%20Of%20Intent%202023-2026%20Final_0.pdf

Therefore, this all means, with the greatest of respect, that the greatest attack against private property rights and freedom in NZ may not end up coming from Central Government at all, and the bankers that in turn control it. It may very well come from a most unlikely candidate – your friendly Local Government Councillor or Mayor, someone you all thought was a good guy, you voted for and thought was acting in your and your family’s best interests.

BTW if it’s not been reported yet the Auckland council are looking at a 17% across the board rates rise and doubling of the cost of water at the next update of rate levels.

    • Oh they can afford it. Just look at their huge cApItaL 🤪gAiNs 🤪. They are all millionaire$ remember.

Of course the haters will try and tell you printing debt money to boost house prices has an inflationary effect across the board – but you can negate that effect by pretending it’s not real and attacking the messenger.

      • Kea, We have two very wealthy businessmen as neighbors both sides of us ,they are in totally different businesses yet have both told me if you think this last couple of years are bad you ain’t seen nothing yet ,it’s no comfort to me that if the shit really hits the fan they’ve got a massive amount more to lose than We do which is nothing at all.

        10

        0

        • Yep and I tend to agree. This is my point. Ultimately we all lose and the economic mayhem is not even the worst of it. People learn nothing from history and the rigged ponzi scheme we are running will end in collapse one way or another.

My suggestion is to turn it around and minimise the pain period. I am not one who thinks making the rich poorer makes the poor richer. I do not even care about equality. All we need to do is ensure getting “enough” is more easily achievable.

          4

          0

            • I don’t think it will be turned around but it can happen, even though it won’t. Things like this tend to swing from one extreme to another. Then repeat. That can be ok as long as the extremes aren’t too far out.

Either the right fixes this or people will continue to buy into the toxic leftist narrative.

              6

              • turn it around…. pfffft you lot are comedians.

best of all you can flee nz but whatever country you go to has the same or similar problems to deal with in the near future.

the only thing that can change it for the better is a great reset… just not as klaus imagines tho. humans need to go back to the stoneage (well not quite stoneage but you get the idea).
cmon asteroid, volcano or an actual deadly pandemic… you can do it! 95% human reduction to make earth a better place.

                  • Bert, my plan is similar although im not living as far back into the wops as id like to be, bush block in the hills would be more my thing but we couldnt make the $$$ work at the time.
i like nz as a country but not as a society, ill piss off for a few years if needed financially but as you say this is my home so ill always come back. aussie is boring imo and only good for making money, lifestyle is rather limited to just being one of keas meat puppets. outdoor activities is shit compared to nz, aussie is more suited for braindead folk that love go sizzle in the sun and on the bbq while loading up on piss.

i still have my fingers crossed for an epic reset as stated in above post, who knows maybe usa/nato vs russia will deliver similar with nuclear winter but i doubt either side has the balls to go full M.A.D with nukes.

          • In every adversity there is opportunity.

            Even for you Rev.
And if your neighbours are concerned then they are not innovating in what they are doing. Change is a constant in every business and always has been.

Go back and recall what Kiwi’s did when we were shut down. You will recall the Cooice Facebook page perhaps. Kiwis turned their hands to doing many of things.
Life can be shit but remember its never good or bad out there just what you think it is.

Notably plenty have been preaching gloom and doom but talk to lots of businesses and although they may not be zooming along many are still busy. The roading that is going on is colossal and it shows if you remove the barriers things can happen.

Out of the 2 channels I now stay with :—
      Douglas Macgregor Straight Calls
      https://www.youtube.com/@DouglasMacgregorFanChannel

The problem is that I do get a little behind on keeping up, but I see there last one put up was 4 days ago.
The other channel seems to be 2 weeks ago for its last update broadcast.

I have noticed that Military Channel has recently posited that 10,000 Ukranians have surrounded, but that has been over the whole “Greatest Counter Offensive Campaign” of the past several months.
When they can they do seem to trickle in, and the Russians have set up a radio channel they monitor to help facilitate that.
The problem is that their are other Ukrainian Military Units looking to take out any Ukrainians looking to surrender.

Must be coming to a head soon with winter on the way, not many provisions and whole divisions giving up to save themselves. Poland has withdrawn and the US finally stopping funding?

  10. Our position on the economy and tax

Let’s start off by first discussing the practicality of the carrot being waved around – aka the 1% tax.

A 1% tax would work if you had a debt-free nation – and our Government borrowings as at 31 May 2023 is $230.6 billion. The amount guaranteed by the Government is $178.2 billion, and the non-guaranteed amount is $52.4 billion.

How does the party offering the 1% tax propose that debt will be paid off? Hyperinflation of our currency, or by debt default? Either way would turn us into the Zimbabwe of the Pacific. Who wants that? Let’s get real.

Our international trading partners would sever ties, as we would be a country that cannot pay its bills. We would be excluded from international trade.

In relation to the 1% tax idea, they talk about sovereign money issued by our treasury at no interest, which is a good idea, but in reality, the countries that have tried this using gold to back the currency have been bombed into the stone age.

A 1% transaction tax would only work using the electronic systems that are currently used. Our biggest concern is this could readily lead us into a central bank digital currency. DemocracyNZ says no to a cashless society.
Here is a quote from one of New Zealand’s top tax accountants:

“The problem is while theoretically a good idea, the system is prone to abuse (significant abuse) and would simply stimulate/reactivate the cash economy and private barter transactions that are very difficult to trace. Like wealth taxes, simply not practical in truth.”

It would be irresponsible to offer a tax reduction on $100,000 dollars income before we see the state of the books when elected to Parliament. And it would be dishonest to do so. DemocracyNZ does not make promises we cannot keep.

Instead, our well thought through economic policy has six key points.
    https://democracynz.org/assets/DemocracyNZ-economy-policy-ELECTION-2023.pdf

New Zealand is home to great people and a beautiful natural landscape, but it’s becoming increasingly unaffordable for people to live and do business here. We’re seeing many Kiwis pack up and leave our shores as a result of this.

Reckless government spending and the Labour Government’s failure to keep up with the demand for new housing, have contributed to high inflation. Kiwis are struggling to be able to access the basics of life – including affordable housing, food, and other essentials.

Severe COVID lockdown rules, along with rising inflation, and over regulation by Government, have also made it tough for businesses to keep operating.

Reckless Government spending needs to be controlled, and tight economic restraints need to be put in place to significantly reduce inflation. Regressive policies which limit agriculture, manufacturing, and energy production hurt these sectors and will increase the cost of living for Kiwis. We need to focus on growing exports, ensure energy remains affordable, and increase home building, so more Kiwis can own their own home.

We need less Government regulation, not more, and we will focus on supporting business growth. Investing in core infrastructure is also a priority to keep our country moving.

You can find our economic policy here – DemocracyNZ-economy-policy-ELECTION-2023.pdf

    • ” Hyperinflation of our currency, or by debt default? Either way would turn us into the Zimbabwe of the Pacific. Who wants that? Let’s get real.”

      1. Property ponzi players want it.
      2. The Zimbabwe situation was caused by printing money, just as NZ did to boost housing costs post lockdown.
      3. Kiwis think a devalued currency makes them rich because “capital gains” which are actually just the dollar buying less.

  11. An elderly woman hurried to the pharmacy to get medication, got back to her car and found that she had locked her keys inside:
The elderly woman found an old rusty coat hanger left on the ground. She looked at it and said.
“I don’t know how to use this.”
She bowed her head and asked God to send her some Help.
Within 5 minutes a beat-up old motorcycle pulled up, driven by a bearded man who was wearing an old biker skull rag.
He got off of his cycle and asked if she needs help?
She said: “Yes, my daughter is sick. I’ve locked my keys in the car. I must get home. Please, can you use this hanger to unlock my car?
    He said. “Sure.”
He walked over to the car and in less than a minute the car was open.
She hugged the man and through tears said.
“Thank You, God, for sending me such a very nice man.”
The Biker heard her little prayer and replied.
“Lady, I am not a nice man. I just got out of prison yesterday, I was in prison for car theft.”
The woman hugged the man again, sobbing.
“Oh, thank you, God! You even sent me a ‘professional”🤣

    • The clever dicks forget that and they forget that Matt booted him out of the north.

But they will vote for him because like beaten wives they enjoy going back to their beater.
      Good luck with that.

Funny too that they don’t seem to understand that no one and that includes Labour, the Nats Act and DNZ want to work with him.
That leaves the Nats, with the Greens and Labour to go with if they want Winston.
A bloody great choice for them to make.
Do you think that nude nut will overrule Willis and a lot of others in his caucus?

      I doubt it.

      • Then they are all arrogant narcissists unfit to be in power. Winston is an ally of the sensible center and ruling him out is what cost National the election they actually won.

    • Yes Sooty, is there another Politician who has lost all 3 of their elected seats and been dumped more as a List MP than the Pensioner from Herne Bay, Winston Raymond Peters,

Hunua 1979 to 1981 (National)- Dumped
Tauranga 1984 to 1993 (National) – Dumped and became an Independent MP
      Tauranga 1993 to 2005 (NZ 1st) – Dumped
      List MP NZ1st 2005 to 2008 (NZ 1st) – Dumped.
List MP 2011 to 2015 (NZ1st)- 2015 changed to Electorate MP for Northland
      Northland 2015 to 2017 – Electorate (NZ 1st) – Dumped
      Northland 2017 – 2020 – List MP (NZ1st) – Dumped.

Sooty, why would anyone vote for an MP with that track record?

        • vikey, imo winnies charisma is his biggest asset. good charisma can draw in alot of ppl and make them forget about past wrongs and failures.
dont forget that you yourself are currently under the spell of a political candidate and deluded somewhat to the actual reality.

          3

          0

          • Sadly you can’t tell the difference between infatuation with a charismatic raconter, ( Tamaki comes to mind as well), and a logical belief in sound policy, which is where I come from.
Policy that includes Freedom of the Individual and freedom of the individual to chose their medication, who they live with and where, and what they eat.
Basic tenets that the other parties all have chosen to decide that we no longer deserved that right.
I notice that you claim that is how you want to live.
Perhaps you should reconcile your wants, needs and desires with the appropriate policy that will restore and maintain those rights for yourself and your kids.

Further you seem to want to denigrate those who do believe that is how NZ should be governed and prefer, it seems, to fall into the contradictory argument that supporting the very parties that have taken away those options for the citizens of our country is what you expect everyone to vote for.
Those that have colluded to remove those same rights that were rights and or ignored them for their own purposes.
Rights that for better or worse are already enshrined in our legislation in the BORA.

Perhaps you should put up or shut up and which side of the debate you actually believe.

Do you think we should have individual rights to our lives or do you think we should be ruled by comminist or communist leaning Nazi’s who hold your life or death in their minds??

  13. Back from the Stop Co-Governance street march. As expected there were only about 60-70 people due to the weather ( at 4.00 o’clock this morning I thought whole city would be washed into the harbour, it was raining so hard.)

Anyway the rain had clear and we just a good cold Wellington southerly to put up with.

The Antifa were out in force ( probably 3 times the number of our group) but the Police did a good job and moved them along to Parliament grounds before we started. Then they had barriers up to keep the groups separate.
While the group was small, I think we made the Saturday shoppers stop and take notice. Quite a few took a copy of Julian’s book to read.. Everyone had a professionally made placard from the organisors.

Newshub were there and they interviewed Julian. It will be interesting to see how they present it, if they do anything on screen.

“It is incredibly disappointing to learn that the vaccines that I assured people were safe were not safe, and that I was wrong.

When I was told in comments that the vaccine might have been responsible for my pericarditis, I blocked everyone who suggested it.

I was emotional and closed-minded and wrong.

I should have done better and questioned more and I am sorry.”

Then blocking people that try to inform you, makes you a real big turd.

If these people did not know that CDC and FDA are corrupt in 2020 with the information available on the internet they are fools and not qualified to give advice.

If they do not know the UN and its subsidiary the WHO is a pay-for-play outfit and not some independent, benevolent body they are morons.

      No sympathy.
I’ll bet this critter still listens to MSM
      What a WOFT
      Question everything.

When your goo-mint locks you down and forces you to take a novel, unproven medicine where the test results are kept secret, where it cannot be peer reviewed ; it is an off the wall approach to medicine (mRNA); and the pharma company cannot be sued or even liable for misadventure; and all costs are by taxpayer and all profits are to a For-Profit outfit that has been successfully sued for malperformance more than once.

..then maybe, just maybe, you should question things a bit more.

That you were shut down from questioning anything..surely gives pause to think !!

  15. This is about Washington DC and the people in it but you read this and easily apply it to our swamp in Wellington. It applies perfectly.

“One of the biggest shifts of thinking needed, in order to change our dynamic to the abusive relationship with government, is to realize these people you consider important are just not that smart. They are not wiser; they are not more strategic; they are not as well versed in the details at the heart of the crisis; they are not as well informed; they do not have special access to information that makes them more capable; they do not understand the issues better than you.”

  16. Auckland weather!!! Squalls, hale, wind and it just seems to go on and on. Did I mention the wind, gusting 47 knots at Tiri. Boat has not left the marina for about 3 months, this is just not right. Grumpy. Another road side meeting with Brooke Van Velden tomorrow out side our place. Question – how many days will it take to get the 3 strikes law back in place and don’t give me any “first 100 days bollocks”.

The senior doctor who accused Te Whatu Ora of a ‘conspiracy’ to avoid disclosing serious safety issues tells ALEX SPENCE he had an ethical duty to take a public stance and that the problems are not confined to his department.

Wearing a white lab coat and gas mask, Dr Bryan Wolf threw his hands in the air and tried to catch the attention of the heavily armed police massing around him.

“I am a doctor!” he shouted. “These are students!”

As the Herald first reported last month, Wolf is the doctor who accused Te Whatu Ora-Health New Zealand of a “conspiracy” to avoid publicly disclosing unsafe practices after it refused to release a damning report about the radiology service where he is a senior medical officer.

Wolf’s stance against his employer has reverberated explosively across Te Whatu Ora, prompting scrutiny from the news media and external agencies and a flurry of conversations at the top of the organisation. Te Whatu Ora says has taken Wolf’s concerns seriously and is putting significant effort into resolving them.

  18. Last week I had a flat tire on the interstate. So I eased my rig over to the shoulder of the road, carefully got out and reached in the side compartment I took out two cardboard men, unfolded them and stood them at the rear of my trailer facing on-coming traffic. They looked so life like you wouldn’t believe it! They’re dressed in open trench coats that exposed their nudity to the approaching drivers.
But to my surprise, cars started slowing down to look at my lifelike men. And, of course, traffic began backing up. Everybody tooted their horns and waved like crazy. It wasn’t long before a state trooper pulled up behind me.
He got out of his car and walked towards me. I could tell he was not a happy camper!
    “What’s going on here?”
“My rig has a flat tire,” I said calmly.
“Well, what the heck are those obscene cardboard men doing here by the road?”
    I couldn’t believe that he didn’t know. So I told him……
“Helloooooo, those are my emergency flashers!”

  19. Winstons been reading and has learnt to copy and paste.

Today we’ve announced our Law & Order suite of policies. The next Government must get tough on rising crime and some of our focuses are:

    SUPPORTING OUR FRONTLINE
    – No less than 500 new frontline police in the first 18 months of government.
    – Introducing minimum mandatory prison sentences for serious assaults police officers, corrections officers, and first responders.

    TACKLING GANGS
    – Establishing a ‘Gang only’ Prison to reduce recruitment of non-gang prisoners and fund an additional 1,000 corrections placements.
    – Funding tattoo removal for rehabilitated gang members in prison – whilst assigning that cost back to that prisoner if they replace those tattoos with other gang associated tattoos.

    ADDRESSING YOUTH CRIME
    – Doubling the number of Youth Aid Officers to address rising youth crime.
    – Introduce a ‘Youth Justice Demerits’ system to provide accountability and certainty of support for youth offenders, youth aid officers and law enforcement.

    • Yes and in 2008 election notional under johnny keys did not deliver
and brought the maori party into the mix
      and adopted green pardy policy

…But delivered fuck all of their own
the biggies they made noise on were reversing WFF and RMA
      Never touched them
      Notional are massive liars
      piss and wind

Liebour -well the answer is in their name
Just did not deliver on 2017 horse-faced horseshit.

They are the only 2 that can deliver under the current structure.

To be fair, Helen Clark had a promise card and did deliver 5 from five in 1999

so why single out NZ Fist ?
Best case scenario in the whole wide world -ACT will not deliver on even a quarter of promises/policy
That is above a 75% failure rate right there

    Well done Gina.

Australia’s top netballers will officially be unemployed as of Saturday, as time has run out for Netball Australia and the Australian Netball Players’ Association to secure a new deal.

  22. DOUG’S DEMOCRACY DIARIES No 121
When voting at this election, let’s not have short memories of how NZ come to be in the place it is, with the Labour Government
    1) NZ First was in Government when the Covid response legislation was passed.
    2) In May 2020, NZ First approved the future v_x requirement of “Immunization before return to work”
    3) NZ First pushed the Government hard in 2021 to get people v__xed and for the unv_xed to suffer the consequences.
    Vote wisely at this election.

    DOUG’S DEMOCRACY DIARIES – No 1
When I see what looks like political hypocrisy, from other politicians, it needs to be called out.
Peters can’t now turn around and criticize the mandates. He was Deputy PM at the time they approved the initial Tracer App legislation, back in May 2020.
Section 4 ‘Future use of the Tracer App’ –
    “Immunization before return to work”.
Yes the Governments intention to v_x the nation was discussed back in May 2020, when they were only creating the Tracer App.
Peter’s own words – No jab – No dole – No parole
See the attached images of Peter’s past FB posts.
I was at a business presentation today. Two of the intended presenters were off sick with c_v_d for the 3rd time. They were fully boosted etc. What does this tell us?
If Peters wants to be taken seriously in the 2023 election, he needs to apologize to the 1000’s of kiwis, and business owners that were and are, seriously disadvantaged due to the mandates he approved.
The nation needs healing. There is what I call ‘blood guilt’ over the land. Peters was part of the cause. My challenge to Peters is, be honest enough to admit you got it wrong, and apologize.

    • ACT, Green ,notional , and of course liebour were in power when the heavy handed shit happened and even signed a declaration to not meet with or engage citizens – the River of Freedom – with valid concerns and actual injury outside the house of parliament .

not far to walk at all

In it together… as dictators …while pushing a scam as bad as Bernie Madoff

      why single out NZF?

    • Peters was an opportunist with “No Jab, no dole, no parole” so then pivoted on seeing the NZ Convoy 2022 when he could see a lot of dissatisfied voters, so then paddled like crazy to get on that wave, that is now returning him with what seems a solid 5%+ vote to trick out & pimp that ride into Parliament.

All the time knowing that the flags from his candidates will be reeled in later, under the Waka Jumping Legislation.
A leadership challenge, & they will be left high & dry, with new ones in from the List.

Winston Peters has long since figured that the House of Representatives is not of Representatives.
It is a House of Parties, & well shored up by WP’s own “Waka Jumping Legislation” to smooth over any problematic List members.

  23. Oh and jimmy 2 mums is pissed off with whiinny

“It makes me really angry. Because political leaders, through the things we say create an air of permissiveness for that kind of extreme language and now physical violence to take place and it’s not too dissimilar to what we saw in the United States under Donald Trump.

“Half of the argument about Trump was whether he personally intervened to make those things happen and at one level it doesn’t matter, he created an atmosphere where these extremists felt empowered and emboldened to kind of enact their kind of crazy, racist, misogynist fantasies. And that did lead to physical violence there and it’s leading to physical violence here too.”

However, Shaw told RNZ he was not surprised given the “misogynist and racist rhetoric”, which he said had at least in part been given permission by political parties in this election campaign.

    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/james-shaw-compares-winston-peters-language-to-trump-after-candidate-violence/2J2VCOLVPVEN7P2UFAGU7GMH7Y/

Te Pāti Māori said the break-in at Maipi-Clarke’s house was yet another example of political extremism in New Zealand.

Co-leader Debbie Ngarewa-Packer said some right-wing politicians were emboldening racist behaviour and needed to take responsibility.

“We have seen a harmful inciting, a very harmful emboldening of extremism, this is an example of that.

“We’ve had it with our billboards – they’ve been so destroyed that we haven’t been able to afford to replace a lot of them now. It’s just been disgusting, the extent of racism.”

This year’s election had brought some of the worst abuse Te Pāti Māori had ever experienced, she said.

New Zealand First leader Winston Peters claimed of Maipi-Clarke’s incident that “it couldn’t have been a home invasion” and he would answer more questions about the case when he knew all the facts.

    fight you bastards fight.
    You are irrelevant anyway.

  24. Hippy has more policy to like.

Labour releases Rainbow Manifesto, addressing adoption laws; blood donations and refugee support

The Labour party has released its Rainbow Manifesto promising to tackle discrimination faced by members of the rainbow community if it is re-elected.

It includes modernising the country’s adoption and surrogacy laws, establishing a Rainbow subcategory in New Zealand’s refugee quota, and exploring the evidence relating to the three-month stand-down period for blood donations provided by men who have sex with men.

Labour leader Chris Hipkins said other political parties were using members of the Rainbow community to “incite fear and division” during the election.

“All people, including Rainbow communities, deserve to have their rights and dignity upheld, and to live their lives freely just as they are.”

Pity he didn’t remember those rights when he was sniffing cindy’s bum and flogging the life pout of the Kiwi citizens.
