  1. Good news on the cricket front, Australia just given a hiding by India in the ODI World Cup – by 6 wickets.
Hopefully from 8.00 am Fiji will dispatch Portugal and send Australia home after the Pool stage of the Rugby World Cup.
    Good start to the week.

  2. Mikey ,If all of the arseholes in that photograph had never been born our country would be so much better than the wrecked hulk these cnuts are responsible for, apparently stupid low IQ NZ’rs are about to vote the Maggot Peters back to have another 3 years at the trough…UNBELIEVABLE.
The Pacifica sheila with the flowers around her neck should have continued to wear it full time as it appears it was smarter and more capable of making good decisions than her LOL.

  3. Jason Walls, NewstalkZB’s Political Reporter is an idiot.

    https://www.newstalkzb.co.nz/on-air/the-weekend-collective/politics-central/jason-walls-zb-political-editor-recaps-the-campaign-and-ongoing-conflict-between-national-and-nz-first/

Well actually, Jason, Old Spoon, it is not National who is only trying to scare voters away from NZF, but so is Labour and TVNZ with there subliminal messaging on their TV1 news last night. Why not be honest and point this out Jason, but there again, balanced reporting from you is an unknown art.

    https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/82d61d801b70d2323d20cb891271a2a0171f53c014b8ade23bdb951e10d6b559.png?w=800&h=382

Quite frankly, I thought subliminal advertising was illegal in New Zealand, but obviously not on TVNZ.

Here is the actual run on. Now I am not a NZF voter and would not cross the road to piss on the aged Pensioner from Herne Bay, Winston Raymond Peters, but this low blow is just plain wrong.

      • My pick.
        3800 party votes for DNZ.

The hit piece on them is par for the course.
        No surprise.
Media filth don’t discriminate on their targets; so don’t take it personally.
They just attack what they are told to.
They re not smart enough to actually investigate,

If you were paying attention – this time last year you would have noted massive hits on local body candidates in a democracy (ha ha ) where media filth scrolled through the social media of candidates (or some green/liebour staffers did on taxpayer dime) to see if they posted any Off Message comments and then it was all on.

        So I ask
Why any of you actually watch this thing called teevee gnews is a complete mystery.
At which point do you expect to be informed ?
in any form or fashion, with honesty.
You have better change of winning lotto first Div than hearing truth from media.

          • Nah.
Neither wanted to take a bet .
They get nothing, and will be (un) happy !

The ACT party only got 13, 000 votes in 2017 when it had been going for 21 years and continuous MPs.
After being launched by high profile former MPs
Matt King was a one term Notional MP who lost his seat in an otherwise safe electorate.

6000 votes is nearly half of what ACT got in 2017
They got 16,600 in 2014 with the very high profile Jamie Whyte and his outrageous statements.
24,000 under Don Brash in 2011 with his very high profile; and Notional leader-contender only 6 years before. high profile John banks was in the mix with all their contacts and access to resources .

King has none of this profile.
            2017 NZ election results.
2020 was too much of an aberration to compare.
United Future, which had been well established with multiple MPS in 2002 got just under 1800 party votes.
Mana got 3,600 votes and had a profile
The Conservative party, in 2017, after the furore of recent prior elections (cant mention his name I’ll get sued) received 6,200 votes
These names will be familiar to most if not all readers here.

Conservative party got over 6000 votes. Just.
Can’t see the Matt King party getting this.
Ceiling, as I have been saying of 5000.

            • They’re currently polling 0.2% and we might expect around 3m to vote.
In the unlikely event King appeals to enough Northland housewives with Mellors fantasies, there won’t be any listers coat-tailing at that rate.

  4. The formation of modern Israel is a religious absurdity. Since it’s establishment they have illegally invaded and occupied significantly more land. They are an illegal (for all its worth) invading force in much of Palestine. I get why they are being attacked.

Yet surprisingly I am on Israel’s side. They simply must grasp the nettle and take over all of Palestine and govern it on a permanent basis. The people of Palestine have been fed lies and hate by extremists who have no interest in their welfare. They are pawns between waring religious factions. Israeli control of Gaza will benefit the people.

I do not accept that Jews and Muslims can not live together in peace when all around the world they do. Muslims make up about 25% of Israel. Conservative Muslims align with Orthodox Jews on many social issues in Israel today. Muslims there say life is good. Time to spread the love and that will be at gun point for starters.

    • Alice I watched your posted short version yesterday and then watched the full version. Highly recommend the long version. Extremely interesting with the amazing Professor, What a treasure to medicine and his patients. It’s posted on Ed’s link on Turbo Cancers above. He condemned the vax before it was rolled out and predicted much of what went wrong.

After watching Dr John recently on prescribing double dose levels of Vit.D I asked my specialist and have been prescribed the extra dosage. It’s only been a few weeks but much improved. The professor said over 300 cells in your body require uptake of Vit.D.

      Are Palestinians an ethnic race?

If you can answer that question, then you can answer this next question.

      Are Maori an ethnic race?

If you get two No’s you can proceed to the next question., Any other any you are eliminated.

      • She was the nasty bitch lawyer associated with Brierley’s where she crushed people who questioned the poor performance of the company – and it was poor performance when they chucked old ex-Sir Ron to the curb.
It was poorly run by Paul Collins. AFAIR Collins was living later in Martinborough where Reddy was prior to being GG; and may have returned.
If you followed the stock market as I do, you would have been aware of this is the early 90s.
Ron B retained some pretty useless ‘talent’ who went on to do sub par things.
Paul Collins was the accountant for Wellington Gas. CEO of Brierley’s was way past his station in life.
After he crashed it he had , again AFAIR, a $5 million sign off bonus which was singularly undeserved,
Reddy was active and complicit in all this . $5 mill a lot in the early 90s.
They actively operated to ensure independent directors could not make it onto the board. Very poor for a listed company.
It was a shit over-rated company after about 1984/85 when it was stacked with no hopers.
But the media filth of that era (and this ) with a forever pathetic excuse for financial reporting did not inform you of facts. No surprise.

I have no time for patsy reddy.

  6. Personally I’m tired of all the supportive bullshit for palestinians and hope Israel can achieve peace by eliminating it’s attackers and expanding the Abraham Accords. But Biden wants and needs war – it finances his bosses and rallies the addled, evil and foolish behind him. Will china take advantage too and attack Taiwan or will they get all the terrorists Biden imported (no border controls….) into the US to distract them first?

  7. A man visits the doctor.
“Doctor,” he says, “I can’t understand it but, whenever I have sex with my wife, the first time we make love, I’m absolutely freezing cold but then, the second time, I’m boiling hot and can’t stop sweating.”
“Strange,” says the doctor. “I’ve never heard of a case like this before. The first time you make love you’re freezing cold and the second time, you’re boiling hot?”
    “That’s right.”
    “Well, we’d better examine you.”
So, the doctor carries out a full examination but can find nothing wrong with the man.
“Very strange,” says the doctor. “Is your wife here with you?”
“Yes, she’s in the waiting room.”
“Ok, let me talk with her.”
So, the man’s wife comes into the surgery.
“Good day, madam. Your husband tells me that, when you have sex, the first time he makes love to you he’s freezing cold and, the second time, he’s boiling hot. Can you explain this strange phenomenon?”
    “Yes,” says the wife.
“You can?! Then why is it?”
“Because the first time is in August and the second is in January.”

  8. I don’t normally respond to stupid stuff hit pieces, but this one on DemocracyNZ really is weird. Until I saw the drunken dwarf on Tee vee just now. It all becomes clear that someone has got the true internal polling and shows some things their masters don’t like.
National have fucked up big time with their attack adds on NZF. Resulting in being jilted by NZF.
Liarbour have said they will not work with NZF.
Act have said they will not work with NZF
    Where does this leave NZF?
Out in the wilderness with no one to play with.
Who does this leave National and ACT to get in bed with post election?
    DemocracyNZ.
Hence the hit on Matt and DMZ by stuff and their liarbour masters.

      • King said one of the reasons he wouldn’t join with other minority parties was that journalists told him they were sitting on a ‘hit piece’ to bring out closer to the election.
Allegedly one of the minor partieswas going to be sunk by dirty politics by the fourth estate fifth column. (My description, not his)
The DNZ disintegration hadn’t occurred then, so it can’t have been this disgusting hit-job.
I can’t help wondering if there’s nasty nonsense about someone up the press sleeve for this week or if they were trying to play King like an old banjo.

  9. At a meeting of the UN the Israeli ambassador speaks:

“I want to start my speech with an excursion into history. Long ago, Moses led the Jews through the Negev desert. It was hot, the people were thirsty. Then Moses banged his staff on the ground & a lake appeared.

The Jews drank & then Moses took off his clothes & went swimming. When he came out of the water his clothes, were gone. They had been stolen by the Arabs!”

The representative of Palestine jumps up:

“Lies! At that time there were no Arabs there !!!”

    Israeli Ambassador:

“It was from this point that I wanted to start my speech.”

    • Where did the Cannanites go?

Before the religion of Judaism a diverse range of people had lived there beyond recorded history. It was never ever the land of the Jews.

They say god gave it to them. Utter bullshit.

      6

      2

      • According to the Book of Bullshit the Cannanites were a fairly advanced people even by today’s standards. “For centuries the Canaanites practiced gross sexual immorality, which included all forms of incest (Lev 18:1-20; 20:10-12, 14, 17, 19-21), homosexuality (Lev 18:22; 20:13), and sex with animals (Lev 18:23; 20:15-16).”

Apparently Huey got a bit pissed about all this fornication & destroyed them but somehow a splinter group of 70 religious nuts led by Jacob got hit by a famine so walked down to Egypt & bludged on them for 450 years. They bred like rats until the Pharaoh enslaved them & got them working on a few projects to take their minds off procreation.

It was when they went back to Palestine in about 1456BC during the Exodus that the whole fairy tale, aka Judasim got legs.

        • So no rational basis for one particular tribe to claim sovereignty thousands of years latter. Christ image if we all took over regions in 2023 because someone of the same religion lived there 3000 years ago.

But it’s there now and should stay there. It would not benefit anyone if israel disappeared tomorrow. That’s just reality regardless of the backstory.

          • It’s revisiting & attempting to rewrite history that’s behind most of the bleating by Maori in Godzone right now. How apologising for something that happened four generations & 150years before most of us were born improves matters for current inhabitants beats me.

Although the Exodus may be historically interesting the problems in the Middle East date back to much more recent times. The Diaspora where Jews left or were booted out of the land currently known as Israel/Palestine started about 300BC with the Romans & continued for nearly 500 years until the Jews were dispersed over most of the then known world.

They intermarried & semi integrated into their new communities & it was a very different people who migrated to the new Zionist state of Israel after WW2. They were no longer homogenic & were united only by historic religious crap.

  10. One for the girls:

    A story unfolds !! 🤣😂🤣😂
A man was sick and tired of going to work every day while his wife
    stayed home.
He wanted her to see what he went through so he prayed, “Dear Satan, I go to work every day and put in 8 hours while my wife merely stays at home.
I want her to know what I go through, so please create a trade in our bodies.”
    Satan,, granted the man’s wish.
The next morning, sure enough, the man awoke as a woman.
He arose, cooked breakfast for his mate, awakened the kids, set out their school clothes, fed them breakfast, packed their lunches, drove them to school, came home and picked up the dry cleaning, took it to the cleaners and stopped at the bank to draw out money to pay the power bill and telephone bill, drove to the power company and the phone company and paid the bills, went grocery shopping, came home and put away the groceries.
He cleaned the cat’s litter box and bathed the dog.
Then it was already 1 p.m. and he hurried to make the beds, do the laundry, vacuum, dust, and sweep and mop the kitchen floor.
Ran to the school to pick up the kids and got into an argument with them on the way home.
Set out cookies and milk and got the kids organized to do their homework, then set up the ironing board and watched TV while he did the ironing.
At 4:30 he began peeling potatoes and washing greens for salad, breaded the pork chops and snapped fresh beans for supper.
After supper he cleaned the kitchen, ran the dishwasher, folded laundry, bathed the kids, and put them to bed.
At 9 p.m. he was exhausted and, though his daily chores weren’t finished, he went to bed where he was expected to make love — which he managed to get through without complaint.
The next morning he awoke and immediately knelt by the bed and said, “Satan, I don’t know what I was thinking.
I was so wrong to envy my wife’s being able to stay home all day.
Please, oh please, let us trade back.”
The Satan, replied, “My dear, I feel you have learned your lesson and I will be happy to change things back to the way they were.
You’ll have to wait 9 months, though.
You got pregnant last night !!..

    • Women are shocking when it comes to time management. Instance a ten minute shopping trip taking a minimum of an hour when they inevitably get tied up in a yakathon with someone they haven’t met since last week.

Even my formerly stay at home wife admitted that when she went back to work after the younger kid went to school. She then somehow fitted everything she used to do plus eight hours of paid work plus an hours travel & a bit of sleep into a 24 hour day.

  11. Listening to Hosking for a short time earlier, it looks like Rachael Smalley has scored a major point on Pharmac’s boss. Even Hipkins agrees what the CEO said in emails is wrong/not appropriate.

    Well done Rachael !!!

Now someone needs to take aim at the Elections Commission. Their stuff up with rural voting places is abysmal. How hard can it be to keep a list of workers from each booth from last election —-yes quite a few may have moved away etc. but my experience with people who do that work tells me many or most would do it again if contacted. The the EC just has to fill the gaps.

But another issue. Our son lives in Melbourne. For the 2017 election he went through the process to get himself registered to vote in the election. He has since moved address, so he updated his address. But we have received his early voting card etc. at our place (his last NZ address). Yes we should have returned the paperwork sent out earlier in the year for to say he is no longer in NZ
But what sort of data base have they got ? Surely when he registered in 2017 it should crossed off his NZ address.
What is stopping me going in to vote for myself at one booth and then going to another booth and using his Easy Vote card to vote again?

What is the real state of our Electoral Roll ???

    11

    0

    • The Electoral Commision is a goo-mint Dept after 6 years of liebour.
this is why liebour should not get more than 1 term.

      what were you expecting?

It is all fail, fail, fail.
      Planned failure and breakdown.
      The reset.
Stacked at the top with woke lefties.
The neutral pubic service has vanished.
Do you think that the two consecutive failures of the Census was a coincidence?

In 2020 when they had full control of propaganda the EC worked as ‘planned’
50.01% vote to liebour. That Is very, very convenient.
      Now they don’t, Mmmm
      it is weaponised.
Same as goo-mint Depts in US and UK.

      Next step.
dont , for one minute, expect 100% honest counting of votes.
      It wont happen.
      C’mon 2030.

  12. DNZ’s response to Stuff article:

    DemocracyNZ
Today’s Stuff article is a great example of gutter journalism. Here is the original photo that was cropped and shared by one of the now former candidates, to insinuate something that it’s not. This photo was taken in Feb 2023, after a successful meeting. To twist it into something it’s not, is sinister.

It’s sad that we’ve reached a stage in politics where it gets dirty – it’s not about sharing policy or a contest of robust ideas and solutions that help us progress as a country – it’s become about mud-slinging and slander. It’s wrong, and it’s appalling that the people perpetuating this are members of another political party vying for votes. It’s dirty politics at best, and we won’t stoop to this level.

DemocracyNZ has not imploded. ACT has recently lost the same number of candidates that we did four months ago, and they have not imploded. It happens in politics. DemocracyNZ has plenty of support on the ground, and this hit piece five days before E Day is a desperate move to discredit us. We must be a threat, or they wouldn’t want to try to take us out!

A note worth mentioning here too. If an individual wants to be private, particularly women – it is wrong to breach that right to privacy. Sometimes there are safety reasons, other times there are equally valid reasons. Time changes things and circumstances, and ultimately – in a free and democratic country, an individual’s right to privacy is not unreasonable.

It’s time to start being adults in politics – our country has major issues that need to be fixed, and these high school bullying tactics are pathetic.

  14. “if it’s safe to do so”. I understand that is partly the truth. If Nat’s drop Road to Zero and cancel the push for EVs the lowered speed limits forced on the public by the government and greenies is due to the extra weight of EVs which means they wear out road surfacing faster causing more potholes and wreck the tyres faster. The weight also means EVs take a longer distance to bring to a stop. Drop the push for EVs and return the speed limits.

    https://www.1news.co.nz/2023/10/09/why-nationals-big-promise-on-speed-limits-might-not-happen/
National wants to scrap lower speed limits on highways if elected, but there’s a big “if” in their promise.

The party recently vowed to make a sharp U-turn on 80km/h highway speed limits, returning them to 100km/h. However, the party said it would only increase speeds “if it’s safe to do so”.

Aotearoa New Zealand 🇳🇿is deeply concerned at the outbreak of conflict between Israel and Gaza.
We call for the immediate cessation of violence.
The protection of all civilians, and upholding of international humanitarian law is essential.

The tweet source location shows she is in the antipodes to New Zealand.
It is strange as the news source I quickly checked, & no mention about her in recent times or even that much based on that tweet seem to pick up where she was.
Seems like hide the pea under which ‘shell game’. 🙂

Though I do not use googles location system or whatever it is, but have seen that it has supposedly located me up to 5-6 hundred kilometers away.
But the antipodes is a bit of stretch wrong.

      • The Electoral Commission said electorate votes for Port Waikato would no longer be counted, and a by-election would be held after the general election, as set out in the Electoral Act.

However, people were encouraged to still vote, as their party votes would still be counted.

The commission’s chief electoral officer Karl Le Quesne extended condolences to Christensen’s family.

“Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time,” Le Quesne said.

“It is an unusual situation for a candidate to pass away before election day, and the Electoral Act sets out what happens next,” he said.

“Party votes in the Port Waikato electorate will be counted in the General Election results. Port Waikato electorate votes will not be counted, and a by-election will be held after the election to elect a member of Parliament.”

The date for the by-election will be set by the current prime minister, Chris Hipkins.

The change appears likely to benefit the National Party, because an extra list seat will be added to make up for the lost electorate seat in the election.

The Port Waikato electorate seat will then be added to the Parliament after the by-election, meaning 121 seats overall – barring any additional overhang seats – and is likely to then be won by incumbent, National’s Andrew Bayly.

At 15th on National’s list, Bayly is all but guaranteed to make it back in on the list during the election, so the party would be able to bring in another MP from its list.

Bayly won the seat in 2020 with 39.4 percent of the vote compared to the 28.5 percent for Labour’s Baljit Kaur. A further 21.3 percent of the vote was taken by Mark Robert Ball from the Heartland New Zealand Party.

      Not very fiscally responsible !!!

The concerns of various pundits and politicians earlier this year that New Zealand might struggle to attract immigrants turned out to be premature. In fact, the country’s population has been boosted to the extent it should be a bigger election issue than it is.

In the 12 months to July, total permanent migrant arrivals were 208,400 – exceeding previous levels by quite a margin. Accounting for permanent departures, the net population gain from immigrants has been 96,200.

That breaks all previous records, and even accounts for a return to the consistent pattern of a net loss of New Zealand citizens (39,500 in the same period). There is every indication the country will hit an annual net gain of 100,000 people.

At this rate, inward migration will provide a net annual population gain of 2% for 2023. Once natural increase is added (births over deaths being more than 20,000 a year), the overall rate will be around 2.3% to 2.4%. By contrast, the OECD average is less than 0.5%.

  16. Residents of the Waikato will be thrilled to hear that their “Festival of the Weird” kicks off at Kirikiriroa* on 28th Oct. A spokessomething says:

…..”“This is the first Festival of Weird, and we want to grow its weirdness factor each year. It might become a bit of a personal creative challenge for us all – how can we ‘out-weird’ each other?””……

      • Are the women of Wellington wearing Hijabs in support of Muslims again?

You think that is disturbing. You should see the reality of bomb blasts and bullet wounds. We hear about it all the time and see some rubble. But never the real human impact.

        • “Louk was reportedly a German citizen and a tattoo artist and had visited Israel to participate in a music festival for peace near the Gaza border fence.”

Died while virtue signaling for likes. Died badly too judging by the position of her leg. Saying nice things does not make you right or a good person. I bet she wasn’t dancing for peace on the Hamas side of the fence.
