  1. A new trooper got posted to Her Majesty’s forces in India back in 1860s. At his orientation lecture by the Regimental Sgt Maj, he was told not to mess with the women because the men will kill you, don’t drink the water, and third, there is a snake. The most dangerous snake in the world. It is a yellow-banded kriat.

You can recognize it because it has a yellow band, a black band, and so on. Under no circumstances should you have any contact with it, unless youare tapped and have no choice. It is a large constrictor; and if you are lucky it will kill you and eat you. If you aren’t lucky, it will leave you severely mangled.

They tend to lay in wait stretched across a path.

If you have to there is one way to kill it. It has very poor vision. As it moves tail around to entice an attack so it can strike, very carefully slip one hand under its body, palm up, thumb extended towards its head. Very carefully put your other hand over the top of its body, palm down. Grasp firmly, but not too tight. When you are all set, very quickly slide your underneath hand towards its head and you will pop its head off IF YOU KEEP YOUR THUMB EXTENDED TOWARDS ITS HEAD.

After getting their understanding he sent them forth on their first weekend pass.

Everyone came back except our trooper.

    3 days and still missing.

Finally after 2 weeks they saw a hunk of what appeared to be hamburger crawling out of the jungle. The trooper was finally back, although there was barely anything that was recognizably human about him.

After 4 weeks of recuperation, the RSM questioned him, “What happened, Son?” (Now when the RSM shows compassion, you are hurt badly.) “Did you mess with the women?”

“No, SgtMaj, I saw a yellow banded kriat.”

    “Describe it.”

“It was lying across the path, and it had alternating yellow bands and black bands.”

“Why did you mess with it.”

“It was lying across the only path to get back to the base. I waited several hours, but it stayed there.”

    “Did you run?”

“No, Sir. As it moved its tail around to entice me, I slid my left hand underneath its body with my palm up and my thumb extended towards its head. With my right hand I placed it over the top of its body, and I grasped firmly but not tightly. When I was all set, with my thumb extended, I slid my left hand towards its head…Sir, have you ever had your thumb up a tiger’s ass?”

    • The stupid bint was on TV last night in the minor party leaders’ debate announcing that the Israeli Defence Force should be recognised as a terrorist organisation. I hope a lot of people watched it (I didn’t)

        • Here it is Leo:

“There was a marked division over attitudes towards the Israel and Palestine conflict, which has become the biggest global issue this week.

Asked if the entire Hamas organisation should be deemed a terrorist entity, Davidson said the same test should be applied to the Israeli Defence Force (IDF).

“Violence against civilians, whether that is committed by Hamas, or the Israeli Defence Force, is absolutely unacceptable,” she said.

She said the terrorist designation should be applied “equally to all terrorist acts”.

Peters interjected, asking: “What does that mean?”

“The Israeli Defence Force has caused decades of violence. Right now, Winston Peters, there are a million children in Gaza whose city is being flattened,” she said.

Peters accused the Greens of harbouring anti-semitic members, which Davidson hit back against.

Seymour said Davidson’s view on the IDF being a terrorist group was “deeply irresponsible”, and not something any New Zealand ally would take seriously.”

  2. What the fuck is the Labour Government doing providing funding for the IWI, Tainui, to investigate setting up a SuPermarket chain. This was done months ago but has just come to light.

    https://fairfaxmedia.pressreader.com/article/281655374724504

I would be very pissed off, if I was Woolworth, Foodstuffs, the Warehouse or any company or organisation, if the Government provided funding to a private organisation, like an IWI, to investigate setting up a business in competition. After all, those organisations were not provided with any funding to set up business in competition to anyone, they had to establish the business on their own cognisance and at their own expense.

And why do the IWI need a paltry loan of $2.85 million to do this investigation. Are they that poor, or is is just so much “Entitlement” that they can dip into the Taxpayers pocket to do so as this was not a contestable loan. While this is just a “Loan”, I suspect the full truth of the “Loan” has not been made public and that it is a “Suspensory Loan” where, if the Supermarket chain is not set up, then the “Loan” is not repayable but if it is set up within say 10 years, then the “Loan” gets repaid.

  3. If you want a decent channel for news about the situation in Israel try this. It is based in Israel and run buy Israeli people.

I know some of you prefer thespians (widely mocked and derided on other platforms for her disgusting display) but this channel has reporters instead. You might find it a bit boring.

  6. If The Voice Referendum Vote is lost in Australia on Saturday, and if National get the majority of Votes this Saturday and need ACT to govern, then I think it will strengthen ACT’s hand on pushing for a Referendum on the Treaty and preference for all things Maori, which Luxon and Willis may find hard to reject in any Coalition Agreement.

It looks like The Voice proposal and the Trojan Horse that it is, is going to get a great spanking and I hope it wakes Nation, Luxon and Willis up, that the same sentiment is widespread amongst the public here. I have my doubts however.

    • To clarify: From https://www.electionresults.govt.nz/electionresults_2017/statistics/sainte-lague-formula.html

“Votes for parties that don’t win an electorate or break the 5% cutoff are discarded & the percentages recalculated on the new lesser figure of votes cast. Thus Labours 50% of 2,919,073 became 54.17% of the 2,886,420 valid & over electoral threshold figure. In the same process National gained 1.9%. while ACT the Greens & the Maori Party were revised upwards.”

    • Advice from post above: don’t vote for any of the small parties, all a waste of time, etc, etc…but then advice to vote for some bloke at Loyal NZ and oh, don’t forget to vote for NZ First.

      Everyone has their own agenda!

      8

      0

          • Ross read Nasska’ post above. Minor party votes are in simple terms re-allocated amongst the parties that get seats in proportion to the % of votes they receive. There are still only 120 seats but the share of the seats is affected. WO was referring to what is happening in Port Waikato which is a different process.

            6

            0

            • I understand and agree with what nasska posted, thats how it works. It maybe it is just semantics, but I think how it is being explained is wrong or misleading.
What they should be saying is if you do not want your vote to lead to more seats going to the main parties, when the formulas are applied, you should ( if you do not want to make your view made by making a protest vote) vote for the minor party who will get in and represent at least some of your views. That way you keep your vote away from the main parties.

          • It certainly is a sad state of affairs WG. I agree Nat & Act will sign us up to WHO as they are controlled by the globalists. Unfortunately if you can’t bring yourself to vote NZ 1st in the hope that they will at least slow the agenda you are better off not to vote at all than to vote for a minor party imo. This at least stops your vote benefiting the major parties.

          • ….. or trust Winston Peters, who signed up New Zealand to the UN Global Migration Pact, claiming it was non binding.
So WP is following the UN agenda, to listen to him 🙁 but note his actual actions, in opening that door to the UN.

While that intent from the UN can be used to squirm its way into NZ’s judicial laws, and certainly seem to have found various ways through the Immigration Department.
Will it even be feasible to walk it back, particularly if some issue on this goes to Court.

I have no idea but I am certain of the one fact that they all lie to get into the trough then receive lots of bounty from the WEF and WHO etc etc. It’s an absolute disgrace what our country has come to.

  7. A married couple touring Israel sat outside at a Bethlehem footpath cafe, waiting for their friends. A pedlar approached them, his arm loaded with belts.

After an impassioned sales plea yielded nothing, he asked where they were from. “America,” the husband replied.

Looking at her dark hair and olive skin, the Arab responded, “She’s not from the States.” “Yes, I am,” said the wife. He pointed to her husband and asked her, “Is he your husband?” “Yes.”

“Mister, I’ll give you a hundred camels for her.” The husband sat for a long, stunned silence before he replied, “She’s not for sale.”

After the salesman left, his indignant wife asked, “What took you so long to answer?”

He replied, “I was trying to figure out how I could get a hundred camels back to America!”

  8. One News poll out tonight. HDA has a conspiracy theory that says Chris Bishop lost the plot and talked about another election because he saw internal polling that will be mirrored by the One News Poll tonight. I wonder what such a poll would look like?

    National- 32 %
    Labour -29%
    ACT – 8%
    NZ1- 7.5 %
    Greens-10%

Jeepers Creepers. Let’s hope that’s way off.

        • Bishop and National have made an admission of failure.
We have had the worst Government in living memory, during the last 3 years, and according to Bishop , by what he is saying and doing, National and their partners cannot smash them. That is total failure in my view.

          • Total
            yes.

They have not even been an opposition.
A couple of fake, smarmy words late in the piece to voters; based on polling to pick up emotive vectors; will not carry much weight.

I think people realise that notional are not trustworthy
There is material distrust of flakey Kluxon to deliver.
People don’t (cant ) warm to Kluxon, are giving Willis a go, but then Bishop comes along and fucks it up.
For a supposed PR professional, Get boosted, is not very good at his job (any job)

the polls show people are Not voting IN notional, they are voting OUT leibour, but have never warmed to the alternative (Teals – Kluxon, willis, bishop) .
the only one I have any time for is Simeon Brown.
They still don’t know how to shoot the old nags in the back paddock (eg Collins, Brownlee, Goldsmith…)

    • Considering trends in polls, will ACT get over 5%?
Though also to consider that National have the gloves off in Epsom, will Seymour retain his seat?
So that vote may also go west too?
      And NZ1’s trend is affirming.

Any way what is wrong having another election?
That is the purpose of having MMP !

If a new government can hit the road running, & push repealing legislation, plus necessary budget before Christmas would be Choice.
There is a problem if so much negotiation & long fishing trips are in play!

Can ACT & Seymour sort out, Winston Peters to be Minister of Broadcasting, (media) 🙂
Both push through their full terms of reference for the Covid Inquiry, issue.
Both push to stop the Zero Carbon emissions farm plans, Fresh Water Farm Plans
To stop “He Puapua” agenda in all the waters, cities, name changes, etc. & to referendum to that there are no principles or co-governance from the Treaty.
Education, what the curriculum is about should be easily put together from ACT & NZ1
There seems much to agree & trade on as there is so much in common.

The rest is grandstanding, which if they do too much of that, then they do not deserve to be in Parliament on another election.

Just some of things that could be done & dusted before Christmas, then holiday into the New Year.
If that is done then they deserve another 3 years, to gain their 4 year term, so do the snap election.

Too easy, too perfect, what can go wrong. :– yeah right.
Am I dreaming? or are the media really in fear, plus so many of the bureaucracy?

        • For me it is not a matter of trust he has clearly shown himself to be untrustworthy in the past. It is about hope that with the candidates he has on board he will follow through with at least some of his promises and there is simply no other alternative that is not driven by the WEF etc.

          9

        • Never have trusted WP
Nor can I trust the voters, as there are far too many that walk amongst us. 🙁

And once WP is ensconced in Parliament, having used his NZ1 candidates, to present his “kindness” face, he then has ultimate power over them via his own Waka Jumping legislation supported by Greens & Labour to basically push them under a bus, to gag & silence them.

          9

          0

          • WP’ “his own Waka Jumping legislation supported by Greens & Labour ”

Another reason for WP to support Labour Greens, Te Pati. to be the big manipulative fish in that pond as being in common with “In it for you”

Woe betide any other party to raise a question or challenge about that.
It is legislation that should be done away!

It is suppose to be a “House of Representatives” & Winston Peters has turned & locked the door on Parliament to be a “House of Parties”.

Insidiously locking the voters out of some possible representation, effectively disenfranchising many of us, giving us even less choice.

I did mention the long-line of trip-wires of fishing trips, 🙂

There is a problem if so much negotiation & long fishing trips are in play!

And the word of “Choice” is where ACT in lack of principles, started slip sliding away in removing that from the ordinary citizen and showing a fascistic face.. 🙂

  9. Danielle Smith, the premier of Alberta, Canada, is the first major elected politician in the world to issue a heartfelt apology to the unvaccinated for crimes perpetrated against their human rights by the government during Covid lockdowns.

“I can apologize right now. I’m deeply sorry,” she said, “for anyone who was inappropriately subjected to discrimination as a result of their vaccine status, I’m deeply sorry. For any government employee that was fired from their job, because of their vaccine status, and I welcome them back if they want to come back.”

  10. Well, this is awkward. Statistics Norway, aka Statistisk sentralbyrå or “the national statistical institute of Norway and the main producer of official statistics”, has just published a paper “To what extent are temperature levels changing due to greenhouse gas emissions?” The awkward part isn’t trying to grasp the subtleties of Norwegian since it’s also available in English. It’s that the Abstract bluntly declares that “standard climate models are rejected by time series data on global temperatures” while the conclusions state “the results imply that the effect of man-made CO2 emissions does not appear to be sufficiently strong to cause systematic changes in the pattern of the temperature fluctuations.” But the really awkward part is that a paper from a government agency dares to address openly so many questions the alarmist establishment has spent decades declaring taboo, from the historical record on climate to the existence of massive uncertainty among scientists on it.

For instance, the Introduction starts “A typical feature of observed temperature series over the last two centuries is that they show, more or less, an increasing trend…” which sounds like more of the same, especially from a government agency. Until you read:

“A key question is whether this tendency is part of a cycle, or whether the temperature pattern during this period deviates systematically from previous variations.”

And if the mere mention of natural temperature cycles of extraordinary magnitude is not enough to have Michael Mann piling tinder around a stake, the authors continue:

“Even if recent recorded temperature variations should turn out to deviate from previous variation patterns in a systematic way it is still a difficult challenge to establish how much of this change is due to increasing man-made emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gases.”

  11. Here’s why Dave has to get off his high horse. He and Winston combined could pistol whip Luxon during coalition talks.

    Quote:

”While Peters was sneering National’s campaign strategies, he and Seymour were fairly cordial during The Press debate. Their tense clashes had become routine during previous minor party debates, but at one point Peters leapt to Seymour’s defence.
Seymour had been called “Treaty illiterate” and “economically illiterate” by Ferris, but Peters said the Māori Party candidate was talking “bull-dust.”

Maybe deep down they know they will have to work together?????

A glimmer of hope, in being in common, showing a bit of commonsense.
As we know it is the ego’s, that make mountains out of mole-hills.
But if they stack their mole hills together they could actually achieve a mountain of reasonable change which I mentioned above.

Still do not trust either of them.
Maybe just maybe the people’s vote, is pulling on the reins, well for the moment.
Maybe seeing more behind the issues & agendas?
      Am I dreaming again?

  12. I suppose public figures must be seen to be saying something, but whether it’s the wretched, embarrassing Mahutapotamus making piss-weak remonstrances or Malala Yousafzai pleading emotionally for a ceasefire, I’m always struck with amusement at their impotent posturings. Since when did raving, ragheaded beasts who parade the dead bodies of women around in pickup trucks ever give a flying fuck what little Malala or some fat dago faggot in charge of the UN have to say?

Perhaps Marama Davidson could pop over and tell the IDF in no uncertain terms that they’re a nasty bunch of racist terrorists? That would bring them to their senses.

The Revenge of the ‘Cookers’ Is Here
    by Chris Trotter

Slowly, and then with gathering speed, the realisation swept through the ranks of the 50.01 per cent of the electors who had voted for Jacinda in 2020: that her Labour Government was all a sham, a con; a case of promising the dumb bastards the moon, and then delivering them three-fifths of fuck-all. Turning Auckland into a South Seas version of West Berlin for four months didn’t help. It merely confirmed the doubters’ suspicions – especially if they were Aucklanders! – that ordinary New Zealanders had become the dupes of people who’d promise them anything to win power – and then forget them the instant they had it. People who, when the dupes resisted the imposition of policies they had never voted for, dismissed them as ‘gammon’ and ‘cookers’.

    • All well taught from play school, kindergarten, schools & universities so that one can live in “The Brave New World” by Aldous Huxley, and not have the pain & suffering that ‘Winston Smith’ went through in “1984” by George Orwell, until you come to not only believe “Big Brother” but to also love him.

All part of “you will have nothing to lose”
as promising that any problems will be solved to achieve the “nothing” to join the ‘collective’

“You’ll own nothing and you’ll be happy”
So many very helpful ways that can be found to help you to this collective “zen state” … yeah right …

All of this is being expounded in New Zealand today in so many various ways and at different insidious levels.

    • History has recorded many successful instances of criminals ceasing to commit crimes after being hugged and loved, as we know.

Mr Asafo lives in a curious little rose-coloured bubble. Perhaps he could pop over to the Gaza Strip and hug a few Hamas butchers? They’re not bad people, after all. They’re just misunderstood and colonized. All they need is wrap-around care and lots of free money, and then they’ll be lovely.

      What a fuckwit.

My youngest daughter once commented on it loudly when she was about three or four. Out of the mouths of babes! I was amused by the shocked expressions all around us, but the woman in question clearly didn’t understand a word of English, and carried on blithely stinking up the aisle.

The power of their vote being 30 to 1 landlord, to continue with increased accommodation allowances?

The $100 seems a bit cheap, when “wealth taxes” may also have to be paid,
Highly paid governmental Bureaucracy will love this in finding further ways to aid their valuable tenants, clients, for their causes & support, invoking those tenancy laws.

They will fall on those tenants saying:– “I am the man from the government, & I am here to help you” as they say, “The government must do something about this”.

I’m no fan of Israel and it’s a simple fact the nation was established on lies, terrorism, religious fantasies, murder and treachery. BUT they have a right to defend themselves and shouldn’t be punished for the sins of their fathers. Also Israel treats people a lot better than their enemies do.

Israel needs to take over Palestine and rule it as humanely as is feasible. That’s what’s best for the Palestinians. ✡️

  19. I was at the gun club earlier today and thought it would be interesting to conduct a poll since everybody and his dog are doing it.
    The result:
    ACT – 100%
    All the other parties 0%

With a broadly representative sample size of 10 people that seems pretty conclusive to me and certainly as reliable as the MSM polls.

Incidentally have you seen this latest from Seymour:

After nine days of advanced voting, just 843,000 people have voted. That means voter turnout is much lower than at this time last election when a whopping 1,415,000 votes had been cast.
Low voter turnout means your vote literally counts for more. But a Party Vote for ACT increases your vote’s power even further.
Some parties are campaigning to change the government, but only a Party Vote for ACT is a vote for (1) a change of government and (2) a government that actually changes the direction of our country – to bring down living costs, end the culture of lawlessness, and stop dividing people by race.

Infometrics is pointing out that there were 273 new very heavy commercial vehicle registrations in September, a fall of -6.2% from the same month a year ago and the first such decline in ten months. And they note: “RUC distances purchased for very heavy vehicles have been falling for nearly all of the 2023 calendar year so far and are likely a better representation of current economic demand for heavier transport. Less freight to be moved around will require fewer RUC kilometres to be purchased. This falling RUC trend, in tandem with the fall in very heavy registrations on an annual basis for the first time in nine months, suggests a turning point could be on the cards”.

    • Between Viking’s & Nasska’s reports.
Would it seem there is more competition, so still busy, but in effect a real squeeze on profits, so less expenditure on new equipment?

      Fiddling the RUC system?
Registration would seem harder to fiddle.

I know that even if people are sort of secure in their livings means, they are usually concerned to want every one be able to work to be reasonably ok.

      • Thanks Iaasb & nasska.
Just googled that now & see that it is a form of digital, electronics, speed llmiter, GPS, dash cams etc..
Probably could stop, immobilize the truck if it figured there was a problem or an issue.

I know in Australia that a cam can be on the drivers face, to warn if his eye lids are closing down too much, and also to report in any inattention by the driver to the road.

A few years ago at a Field day I saw the Fonterra trucking system, & noted on the map they displayed the speed limits for their tankers.
The ok for 90 kph stretch of country roads I knew surprized me, & I called them out on that.
Though I do know a big truck like Fonterras has very great road holding & braking ability even decades ago like chasing them along on State Hi Way 4 which can be so surprising.
Like wise when I checked on trucks that were using a detour, once they got used to it. To stay ahead, in my underpowered ute, as they did not give an inch on the corners. 🙂
And they are dam powerful, as sometimes I am trying to figure if they are full or empty. There is a difference but not as much as many would think.

        • In the 70’s & early 80s I used to chauffeur livestock around the lower NI in a D2418 powered by a 170hp Cumins V8 or later the Perkins equivalent.
32 tons GVM & with a full load I usually only had one gear left going over the top of the Rimutakas & that was reverse. I’d go down the other side using the engine to keep the speed down to where the ever fading brakes had a chance of stopping the rig in an emergency.

Nowadays McCarthy Transport’s log trucks sail over at 44 ton with 700hp. The Isuzu I drive occasionally for my son is 450hp, It’s another world of truck design.

        • we got Eroads in my truck at work 8000km ago, purely to save money. it stops counting RUC when you go a set distance from the centre of the road (think normal 2 lane roads it deactivates 3m from centre of the lane)
because we do alot of offroad/ag work we were payimg stupid amounts of RUC and the only roadwork was driving to the job.

even this week carting gravel and silt, 185 truckloads, 4.5km round trip with only 500m of that on road, at 40 odd cents per km it soon adds up. some days on silage i can do 200+km without even going on a road.
think Eroads makes it harder to dodgy logbooks tho… not that anyone would do that 🙂

as for the 90kph thing S1 most modern trucks wont let you excede it unless your going downhill and even then some trucks will automatic brake. i can hold my foot to the floor in my 420hp truck and it wont go over 90kph as the computer just wont let it.
love the auto trans etc but some days you just miss a good ole road ranger you can put your foot down and whistle home a bit quicker.

        • Thanks:—
I recall Fonterra had all the milk tanker tracks measured up so they could figure the exemption to what meter said.

So much technical sophistry which also allows mission creep for future greater control.
Oh well, the way of the world, like fire is a good servant, but can be come a bad master.

          Yes a big savings Iaasb.
Would work well for those harvesting “jockey trucks”.

I recall figuring out that the old farm truck that always parked up for a couple of minutes, was reactivating his hub meter before heading on into town & then the main road. 🙂

And those truck races, developed for the sure power & grunt too nasska
The Izuzu would be a nice drive? making it a breeze & comfy in your dotage 🙂

I see a lot of trailers in our local area have been extended to 5 axles, & on the low wheels seem to work well for double cattle decks.
Saves back rub on those older Friesian steers, and now a truck driver can be prosecuted for that. 🙁

The freedom to “whistle home” on a clear night, empty road, is going to become extinct, for all us, as that controlling mission creep will cover all road transport, except where you can pedal.

Some rental cars are almost ,as they are set up to constantly chirrup “You are going over the speed limit.” “The speed limit is – – kph. ”
Even where there are road works,, & even after.
I 2nd guess that Traffic Control puts those messages in the system, & then do not late delete them.
Sure for a Chinese tourist, that need their hands held to even go around a corner, but it is too the lowest common denominator for the sake of total control.

          5

          0

          • those low wheel stock crates are almost a must have for most trucking firms now. mpi etc have clamped down on tail rub etc when trucking, when we load cattle now we have to draft out the taller cattle to load into the 4 or 5 bottom pens of the trailer as they have another 6″ height.
quite often if we loading in the dark the drivers will run out a tall cattle and ask us to send smaller one in for said pen. think the driver cops the fine? so theyre pretty vigilant now.

my uncle used to have to go measure all the tanker tracks for fonterror back in the day, it was many thousands of km per day they saved money on. they measured with metering wheels yearly then gps, then gps mapped for a final time once tech had caught up, now Eroads made that all obselete.

  21. Shane Jones says NZ First wants ‘credible, fully independent inquiry into Covid-19 response’ including consideration of compensation for people who lost jobs over vaccine mandate
    11th Oct 23, 1:09pm by Eric Frykberg

The New Zealand First Party wants to investigate whether people who lost their jobs over the Covid-19 vaccine mandate could receive compensation from the Crown.

The idea of payments for people who lost their jobs rather than get vaccinated has been mentioned by NZ First speakers many times but does not crop up in the party’s manifesto.

Instead, the manifesto pledges to “end all vaccine mandates….and hold a credible, fully independent inquiry into New Zealand’s Covid-19 response.”

NZ First’s deputy leader, Shane Jones, says the possibility of compensation would be covered by this investigation.

“In our manifesto, we are having a comprehensive review of the whole Covid experience,” Jones says.

  22. Poll poll poll and another one plus another to come.

The latest 1News Verian poll shows NZ First holding the balance of power even though the left bloc has the momentum while the right bloc is holding steady.

National is up one point from last week to 37 percent while Act has dropped one point to 9 percent.

New Zealand First is steady on 6 percent – but it still holds the balance of power; Act and National would only have 58 seats between them, three short of a parliamentary majority.

Labour is up two points to 28 per cent, while the Greens are also up one point to 14 per cent.

Te Pāti Māori is steady on 2 per cent.

      • Another generation of pawns will now grow up full of hatred for the pawns on the other side of the board, and vice versa.
The perpetual cycle of fear, death, destruction and hatred claims yet another generation.
Young innocent children, with pure love in their hearts, and a beautiful blindness to differences between people, will now see only differences. Their pure heart blackened by the atrocities they are witnessing.
And all the while the chess players stand above both of them, with nothing but apathy and contempt for the humanity within these pawns, that they so easily dismiss.
The pawns are merely there to serve their purpose, as moves on a board. Sacrificial lambs on the bloody road to domination.

          • Correct.

Semite, name given in the 19th century to a member of any people who speak one of the Semitic languages, a family of languages spoken primarily in parts of western Asia and Africa. The term therefore came to include Arabs, Akkadians, Canaanites, Hebrews, some Ethiopians (including the Amhara and the Tigrayans), and Aramaean tribes. Although Mesopotamia, the western coast of the Mediterranean, the Arabian Peninsula, and the Horn of Africa have all been proposed as possible sites for the prehistoric origins of Semitic-speaking populations, there remains no archaeological or scientific evidence of a common Semitic people. Because Semitic-speaking peoples do not share any traits aside from language, use of the term “Semite” to refer to the broad range of Semitic-speaking peoples has fallen out of favour. For this reason, some critics even encourage the removal of the hyphen in the term anti-Semitism to help dispel any pseudoscientific notions of a “Semitic race.”

  24. MICHAEL REDDELL: A few snippets from the IMF WEO

The IMF released its latest World Economic Outlook and associated forecast tables overnight. There is no reason to think the IMF is any better as a forecaster than anyone else (ie not very good at all) but they do look at a bunch of advanced countries all at the same time, against a common global backdrop, so it is still worth looking at how they see things here relative to those other advanced countries. A few charts follow.

(Here, as in various recent posts, I remove from the IMF advanced countries Andorra and San Marino (as too small to matter) and Hong Kong, Macao, and Puerto Rico (as not countries at all), and add in Poland and Hungary, both of which are OECD member countries and performing similarly economically to various central and eastern European countries the IMF includes in their advanced country grouping. That leaves a group of 38 countries, including New Zealand.)

First, we look at the Fund’s forecasts for real per capita GDP growth.

    In calendar 2023

    • In the papers today in NZ I cannot find the IMF figures reported anywhere. So what do they (see link below) say about NZ’s ranking. Are we second in the world after Japan, like the PM told Hosking? In 2023 the IMF ranks our GDP growth as 145th our of 173 countries, right near the bottom. As if that isn’t bad enough, in 2024 it has put us at 168th, almost AT the bottom. We’re still relying on the likes of Equatorial Guinea coming in behind us. Oh, and Sudan.

Are the Business Editors at Newshub, Stuff & NZ Herald going to call the PM to account for his false claim on Newstalk ZB that our GDP growth put us ahead of “every country other than Japan”? It was misinformation on steroids. Hipkins is the guy who went berserk about misinformation about the Covid vaccine, yet I cannot conceive of a greater piece of misinformation than telling 5 million Kiwis a few days before a General Election our country is ranked top of the world on GDP growth figures when we’re ranked almost bottom.

How is he getting away with it?

Hydroxychloroquine Reduces COVID-19 Mortality, Study Finds
Researchers examined records from 352 adults hospitalized in AZ Groeninge Hospital in Kortrijk, Belgium.

People who took hydroxychloroquine in combination with another drug while hospitalized with COVID-19 were less likely to die than those who didn’t, according to a new study.

Hydroxychloroquine, which is widely used against malaria and arthritis, was given to hundreds of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in Belgium. Thousands of others didn’t receive the drug.

Researchers examined records from 352 adults hospitalized in AZ Groeninge Hospital in Kortrijk, Belgium. All patients tested positive for COVID-19 or had results from CT scans that suggested COVID-19 was present. Patients received hydroxychloroquine alone or with azithromycin, an antibiotic. They were scanned before and after treatment.

  26. Fentanyl-Related Teen Deaths Triple in 3 Years

It’s 50 times stronger than heroin, 100 times stronger than morphine—and just 2 milligrams (equal to 10 to 15 grains of table salt) can be lethal.
    Story at a Glance

84 percent of all teen overdose deaths in 2021 were related to fentanyl.
Fentanyl-related adolescent overdose deaths nearly tripled between 2019 and 2021, and a quarter of those deaths involved counterfeit drugs—pills like Valium, Xanax, or Percocet, often obtained from friends or bought through social media.
Fentanyl is an incredibly potent synthetic opioid. It’s 50 times stronger than heroin and 100 times stronger than morphine. Just 2 milligrams, equal to 10 to 15 grains of table salt, can be lethal.
Having the right tools, such as fentanyl test strips and Narcan (naloxone) in your home or school medical kit, can also save lives. Never buy fentanyl tests from friends or online. Always get them from your local health department or a trusted community organization, such as addiction recovery programs, as counterfeit tests are in circulation. Also, make sure they’re legal to obtain in your state.
Drug makers are now working on anti-opioid vaccines: one for heroin, one for oxycodone, and one for fentanyl. The fentanyl vaccine is said to work by preventing the drug from entering the brain, thus eliminating the “high” users experience, as well as the risk of respiratory depression. The other vaccines work on the same premise.

Even as opioid deaths have become a leading cause of death among Americans younger than 50,1 another horrifying trend is emerging: teen deaths caused by fentanyl-laced counterfeit drugs.2,3

    @MaxBlumenthal
So far, the lone source for the claim that 40 babies were beheaded and/or killed by Gaza militants was @Nicole_Zedek, an Israeli state sponsored media reporter citing “soldiers.” She’s since issued a clarification stating death toll is “unknown.”

So this story has been retracted by the LA Times and the Israeli army has officially disowned it.

@MaxBlumenthal explains why he would be shocked if the story of the decapitated babies in Israel is true. Full discussion with @Timcast along with other related posts, in the thread below.

    • as per my comment a couple hours ago, the world is currently being manipulated by media and emotive stories to set a narrative (or distraction… have you heard about ukraine in the past few days?)

fuck all this shit imo, just ignore it. as much as i want to see nutter terrorists bombed to bits all it will do is cause further divisions/hatred and future problems all for what??? so israel dosent get a hurt ego?

same shit as 9/11 and theyre even framing it like that. just another bullshit reason to go slaughter tens of thousands of civilians and raze a shitload of buildings in the quest to try kill a bunch of raghead nutters.

if youre angry, upset, cheering for war then wake the fuck up youre being played and used like one of keas meat puppets. they want you to think that, they want you to feel that but most of all the want you to let them do that!(war)

    • Whilst you are at it, look at veracity of the claim that Germans made soap out of prisoners. And that they made lampshades out of their skin. This stuff rhymes, and stinks to high heaven, “a brothers murder”. Hamas was created by Israel as a foil against Arafat. Hamas means “evil” in Hebrew. All is not as it seems. I suspect IDF will march into Gaza and get a bloody nose. The images of blasted cities are perhaps more compelling than fanciful stories about beheaded babies, world opinion will turn against the war mongers. Who can tell why or what is really happening, but it wont be good for either side.

      • its good for nancy pelosi and her mates that coincidentally bought up shares in defence contractors a while back.
what great luck with 2 wars on the go and getting close on haiti etc… trifecta?

A plane carrying military weapons and equipment from the US landed Tuesday evening at the Nevatim Airbase in southern Israel, the Israel Defense Forces have said.

“We are grateful for the US backing and assistance to the IDF, and to the State of Israel in general, during this challenging period.

“Our common enemies know that the cooperation between our militaries is stronger than ever, and is a key part in ensuring regional security and stability,” the IDF said in a statement.

      • you watch, IDF will get tons of support in the next few days/weeks but then the tide of public opinion will get turned by the media etc.
they best be careful its not a trap, get too carried away and pro palestine countries/neighbours may decide to team up and have a go at taking israel for themselves.

theres a good 100+ million jew hating nutters just a hop skip and a jump from lil old israels 9mil population.

    • Bearing in mind nuns were supposedly raped in Belgium when Germany’s army swept in during WW1
That Saddam’s Iraqi soldiers pulled babies out of the incubators in Kuwait.
Now the Israeli babies or children not just killed but also beheaded.

A soldiers lot can often be a terrible, to be so fired up, knowing death is near, and to take out others.

Then to weigh up that a part is a form of terrorism, to create fear whether it is done or not.
When it is valued to be a martyr, a shaheed to be rewarded, as guided by ruthless Mohammad.

Sadly I do not have much sympathy for the Palestinians, as the islamic religion does not help.

For the Russians & Ukrainians I could see that in particular it is the USA & the UK that seem to not want negotiations, and certain sections of the Ukrainians vested in national hero Bandera.
It is now shown that Putin did want further talks, negotiations, about Ukraine to become truly neutral & stop hitting on the people in the East Ukraine & allow them to become more autonomous, but remain in the Ukraine. This before the Russian invasion, and to note that for about 4 days before Russian troops entered, the Ukrainians were firing heavy artillery as a bombardment into the Lugansk & Donbass areas.

Have over the past century, much bad blood, spilled blood between the different areas, cultures, politics, etc.. various reasons, in mad & bloody ways

A neutrality that Austria has signed with the Soviet Union, that seems to have worked, since 1955
…The Declaration prohibits Austria from joining a military alliance, from hosting foreign military bases within its borders, and from participating in a war.
Membership of Austria in the European Union (or its predecessor organizations) was controversial due to the Austrian commitment to neutrality.

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Austria%E2%80%93NATO_relations#cite_note-the_local_at_2022-02-08-2

That neutrality Declaration with in months was incorporated into the Austrian Constitution.
