  1. Australia absolutely thrashed by South Africa in the 50 over World Cup cricket. That’s 2 down from 2, another loss could see them struggling to make the Semi Finals and join their rugby mates failing to leave pool play. Life sometimes never gets better,

  2. As I am a founding member of the Darkest King Country Self Flagellation Society, membership of 2, my wife and I, watched the debate between Hikins and Luxon last night with the most appalling “Moderation” by Jessica Mutch McKay on TV1.

Having put myself through that I am even more convinced Hipkins is not fit to call himself a “Leader” and is not fit to run the country, or be the Prime Minister of this once fine country any longer. His performance was absolutely negative.

As for Mutch McKay, she should not be in charge of a Kindergarten Debate, let alone a Political Debate, ever again in the future, her skills in this field are negligible and she is probably more suited to being Hipkins Knob Polisher than a Moderator of what should have been a serious debate.

Luxon’s skills, his patience in the presence of the yapping dog that was Hipkins and the ability to get under his skin, by continually suggesting to Hipkins that he calm down, got under Hipkins skin, then only to see Hipkins ability to yap in a higher but weaker bark, that was the only redeeming factor of the whole debate.

If anyone said Hipkins won that debate, I refer them back to the great lawyer, Dennis DeNuto’s insightful saying, “Your fucking kidding me!” Saturday, early evening Hipkins day will come and tomorrow is not soon enough in my opinion.

      • Lizzie, again, the question was, “What is your weekly food bill?”

Both Hipkins and Luxon live on their own. Hipkins is separated, Luxon lives in his Wellington flat, so I guess his food bill may well be $60 per week as he would be away from Wellington, often.

As for Hipkins, he claimed his food bill was between $400 – $600 per week. Is this his family food bill? How does he know, he does not live with his family or have the time to do their shopping. If anyone claims Luxon is dishonest on this question there are two things. One, they did not listen to the question and two, they have not bothered to question the honesty and accuracy of Hipkins answer.

    • Viking, that is not what he said. He did not say “our”. He said mine for “me” in my flat in Wellington. His family does not live in Wellington, they live in Auckland.

Be honest man, you can do better than this.

  3. Talking of Grocerey bills. (you won’t appreciate this unless you looked at the shampoo man bit above.
A woman was enjoying a good game of golf with her girlfriends. “Oh, no!” she suddenly exclaimed. “Look at the time! I have to rush home and fix dinner for my husband! He’ll be so pissed if it’s not ready on time.” When she got home, she discovered all she had in the fridge was a wilted lettuce leaf, an egg – and a can of cat food.
With no time to go to the supermarket, she opened the can of cat food, stirred in the egg, and garnished it with the lettuce leaf. She greeted her husband warmly when he came home, and then watched in horror as he sat down to his dinner.
To her surprise, he seemed to be enjoying it “Darling, this is the best dinner you’ve made me in 40 years of marriage! You can make this for me any day?” Needless to say, every golf day from then on, the woman made her husband the same dish.
She told her golf partners about it, and they were all horrified
“You’re going to kill him!” they exclaimed. Two months later, her husband died.
The women were sitting around the clubhouse and one of them said, “You killed him “We told you that feeding him that cat food every week would do him in!
“How can you just sit there so calmly knowing you murdered your husband?” The wife stoically replied, “I didn’t kill him.
He fell off the windowsill while he was licking his ass.” 🤣

  4. A Hunter walking through the jungle found a huge dead dinosaur with a pigmy standing beside it. Amazed, he asked: “Did you kill that?”. The pigmy said “Yes.” The hunter asked “How could a little bloke like you kill a huge beast like that?”
said the pigmy: “I killed it with my club.”
The astonished hunter asked: “How big is your club?”
The pigmy replied: “There’s about 90 of us.”

  5. In the first home he and his colleagues entered “we see a pregnant lady lying on the floor, and then we turn her around and see that the stomach is cut open, wide open. The unborn baby, still connected with a umbilical cord, was stabbed with a knife. And the mother was shot in the head. And you use your imagination, trying to figure out what came first.”

Asked by anchor David Matlin to respond to claims that Israeli reports of Hamas atrocities were “exaggerated,” Landau went on to recount what he saw in the neighboring house.

“In the living room we see two parents, mother and father, with hands tied behind their backs. Lying by their side were two small children, with their hands also tied behind their back. They were all burned to death. The terrorists were sitting at the table and eating while they torched them to death.”

“I saw a dead mother holding her dead baby, both killed with a single bullet that went through them. I saw 20 children shot and burned and piled together in two piles.”

The left and Democrats support the perpetrators. The things they have come out with are incredible. American Jews led the Trump haters and lead the persecution of Trump and people on the right. I hope they now learn the difference between saying nice things and being a good person.

Israel needs to wipe out Gaza, but sadly it might not stop the attacks on Israel.

Normally I stop reading at women and children. According to media armies only attack kids as being of prime strategic and military importance. It’s outright lies of course.

Far far far worse is a daily occurrence in Africa and never even makes the news.

          • nah no breakfast for stupid boy.
im usually all for the destruction of scum but for some reason my gut feeling dosent sit right with this one. time will tell but i rekon in a few months israel and possibly rest of the world will be regretting what theyre about to do (if they go into gaza full beserk mode).
muslim tensions worldwide are building, just look back to france onlya few months ago, the recent pro palestine protests plus add to that the decades of war and attrocities by american forces in the middle east. you only need iran or lebanon to say fuck it and join in and all hell will break loose.
america “having israels back” should be the thing that worries israel the most, thats more of a threat to them then hamas ever will be.

sometimes patience and restraint are the best course of action. takes a bigger person and more integrity to do that then go blow up a bunch of civillian buildings.

            • All correct. I sense something bigger and hidden.

I support Israel taking over Gaza again. It will be better for both Israel and Gaza people. There is no way to stop this peacefully and those that want to wipe out israel won’t hate them more or less.

This is the only time I’d support escalating a conflict. Time for war.

  6. Johnny’s teacher is giving a lesson on Nutrition, and she
decides to ask her students what they had for Breakfast.
To add a Spelling Component, she asks the students to also spell their answers.
Susan puts up her hand and says she had an Egg, ‘E-G-G’
    ‘Very good’, says the teacher.
Peter says he had Toast, ‘T-O-A-S-T?
    ‘Excellent.’
Johnny has his hand up and the teacher reluctantly calls on him:
‘I had Feck All’, he says, ‘ F-E-C-K-A-L-L’.
The teacher is mortified and scolds Johnny for his rude answer
Later when the lesson turns to Geography, she asks the students some rudimentary questions.
Susan correctly identifies the Capital of Canada. Peter is able to tell her which ocean is off Canada’s East Coast.
When it’s Johnny’s turn, the teacher remembers his rude answer from the Nutrition Lesson, and decides to give him a very difficult question:
Johnny, she asks, ‘Where is the Mexican Border?’
Johnny ponders the question and finally says, “The Mexican border is in bed with my mother.
That’s why I got Feck All for Breakfast.”

  7. Alternative Medical Union Launches Inquiry Into Excess Mortality in Australia
The group of doctors aiming to be an alternative to the Australian Medical Association (AMA)

The Australian Medical Professionals Society (AMPS) is launching an inquiry into the changing mortality rate in Australia.

The group of doctors, aiming to be an alternative to the Australian Medical Association (AMA), want to address the “alarming rise in excess mortality in Australia since 2021.”

“This inquiry aims to uncover the most pressing question: what is causing Australians to die at unprecedented rates? Why has the death rate rocketed?” the group said in a statement.
The AMPS labelled the excess deaths an “overlooked crisis” and plans to hold an inquiry on Oct. 18 in Canberra.

The group said it had sent out invitations to hundreds of politicians, health authorities, medical colleges, and members of the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) and the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).

  8. Animal Contraceptive and Antibiotics Detected in Top 10 Popular Fast Foods: Report
Two types of animal antibiotics and an animal contraceptive have been detected in food samples from America’s top 10 most popular fast-food chains.

Two types of animal antibiotics and an animal contraceptive have been detected in food samples from America’s top 10 most popular fast-food chains, according to a laboratory report.

In September, Moms Across America (MAA) submitted food samples from 10 popular American food chains to the Health Research Institute, an Iowa-based nonprofit laboratory that tests food for nutritional value, biofunctionality, and contaminants and toxins, requesting that the laboratory test the samples for over 100 common veterinary drugs and hormones. MAA is a nonprofit activism group formed by mothers intending to bring awareness to food that contains genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and pesticides.
Molecular and chief scientist at the Health Research Institute, John Fagan, confirmed that his lab tested the food samples.

  9. NICOLE MCKEE: Some very good news

This morning, the NZ Herald has reported on a new poll that finds 60 percent of Kiwis back ACT’s proposed principles for the Treaty of Waitangi, compared to just 18 percent opposed.

ACT believes the Treaty ought to be a document that unifies New Zealand. But in recent decades the courts and Waitangi Tribunal have used a twisted interpretation of the Treaty principles to push an agenda of co-governance and division.

Of course, no society in history has succeeded by having different political rights based on birth.

The left-aligned parties and the media have sought to misrepresent ACT’s plan, so let me set it out clearly here:

ACT would bring a Treaty Principles Act to Parliament.

      • No, that was Winston Peters after he’d had a long, fact-finding talk with Dr Matt Shelton following the Wellington protest. Matt Shelton talked about it in his interview with Paul Brennan on RCR a couple of days ago..

Unfortunately, not only is bought-and-paid-for Davos Dave still firmly in the jab camp, but he has lost the plot to such an alarming extent that even ACT co-founder Roger Douglas has said he won’t vote for him. Nor will anyone else if they have done their research.

        12

        0

        • Wrong again.
          Peters wasn’t in Parliament.
Matt King was the only ex MP who stood up and publicly stated that jabbing people compulsorily was not the law under our Bill Of Rights.
winston as usual came along and hung onto a bit of public opinion that was centered around the protest. He can smell an anti-govt. protest anywhere.
Matt spent 4 days there. Peters less than a couple of hours.

That AFTER HE WAS A CABINET MINISTER IN THE VERY GOVT. LED BU THE HORRIBLE CINDY AND HAD SIGNED OFF ON ALL THE COVID STUFF.

At least he eventually recanted all that but Seymour hasn’t.

Lets just get the facts in the right order.

India has been shaken to its core after an eight-year-old girl was gang-raped and bludgeoned to death with a rock,
and a 13-year-old girl had her eyes removed in a fatal torture attack. (too hideous to post detail)
The attacks come amid a massive rise of violence against women and girls in India over the last decade.

The three attacked her before ‘bashing her head in with a stone’, according to the Additional Commissioner of Police, Vidhi Chaudhary.
Chaudhary added: ‘The accused killed the girl as they were known to her father and feared that she might tell him about them.’
    ——-
Violence against women and girls in India has risen dramatically in the last decade.
The National Crime Records Bureau reported a 15.3% increase in crimes against women between 2020 and 2021.
Between 2011 and 2021, there was an 87% increase in crimes against women.
    ———–
    Another assoc article

A 15-year-old girl has been brutally gang-raped, murdered and dumped in a 50ft-deep well in the latest shocking sex attack to rock India.
The tenth-grade student was reported missing by her grandfather after allegedly being kidnapped by three individuals on September 23.
The girl’s body was tragically found at the bottom of a well in the Ramgarh Shekhawati region of Sikar city, Rajasthan, less than 24 hours later.
    ———————–
And your goo-mint wants to bring in more of these
It is all too common, happens in NZ
The murder of Amber rose Rush in Dunedin by Venod Skantha, was far from isolated.
so horrific Amber Rose’s mother took her own life months later.
Rotherham is not a one off event.
These critters are below animals .
If you see it happening; give them a severe bashing. They wont go to the the cops and the cops wont do anything if you do.

    • I know that Hindus can be very problematic too..

There are still hundreds of millions of muslims too that see any other of another religion to be used.

And they both can get Indian passports & New Zealand visas with minimal vetting, either on educational levels, or even the standards of the job level, like truck driver.
And of course student visa, if your family supposedly can rack up the money.

  12. I contacted the Israeli Consulate asking how I could support Israel and they helpfully suggested a donation to the Israeli version of the Red Cross, Magen David Adom, which is affiliated with the International Red Cross.

Magen David Adom in Israel is the State of Israel’s national organization responsible for emergency pre–hospital medical care and blood services. The organization handles hundreds of thousands of life saving cases every year and right now they are flat out responding to the medical needs of Israelis wounded by the barbarism of Hamas.

    http://www.mdais.org

To donate by credit card you have to fill in your contact details first, then it takes you to the actual credit card number, expiry date etc on another page. Once you have made your donation it shows a 404 message (which is a bit disconcerting), but on checking my credit card balance I found it had gone through perfectly with no problems.

  15. Yeah…nah.

Social media users are being warned not to make posts on voting or any aspect of political campaigns come election day.

Scrutineers will be on duty at polling stations across the motu over the next two days to “keep an eye on things”.

No political campaigning is allowed tomorrow and all election billboards must be removed by midnight.

The Electoral Commission which oversees the election keeps an eye on social media and follows up on any complaints.

Chief electoral officer Karl Le Quesne has this advice: “We just advise everyone don’t broadcast on social media about voting or campaigning on election day.”

I was attended to by a frowsy woman who looked like she could be Eugenie Sage’s twin sister, wearing a huge green native appendage around her neck, and sporting the most extraordinary moustache. It was a real doozy, a great fat hairy caterpillar of a thing. One wonders what Paul Henry would have made of it.

The company, which owns this website, has flagged it is increasingly concerned about the volume of mis- and disinformation being shared, and the damaging behaviour being exhibited on and enabled by the platform.

Stuff CEO Laura Maxwell said: “When Stuff returned to New Zealand ownership in 2020, we set growth in public trust as our key measure of success. Three years on, our mission is to grow our business through trusted storytelling and experiences that make Aotearoa New Zealand a better place.

Treasury papers reveal the extent of Stuff’s financial distress at the time of the sale of the business to Sinead Boucher for $1 in 2020.

The papers record that, “Nine has concluded that the scenario modelling indicates that there is no reasonable prospect of Stuff becoming self-funding through till December 2020, or even remaining solvent without a material near-term cash injection. Nine considers that the worst-case forecasts show that it would need to inject up to $7m in cash in June 2020 and around a further $7m over the remainder of the calendar year to maintain Stuff as a going concern.”

    • And on my fence Kea, have to take the signs down by midnight. To be fair, am voting for the DNZ candidate, wouldn’t matter what I do, National will win in a canter. Party voice however, happily voted New Conservatives last election as my protest vote but this time may well vote for Winnie as I need a Maori to stop the Maoris and the vaccination enquiry. Tomorrow will decide when I walk down the end of the street.

  19. Sir John Key has revealed what he thinks will be “inevitable” for the makeup of New Zealand’s next Parliament – Winston Peters being back in it.

Sir John’s comments come as National faces forming a coalition with Peters’ NZ First party as well as ACT, based on recent polling.

NZ First was on 6.8 percent in the latest Newshub-Reid Research poll, up 1.6 points and comfortably above the 5 percent threshold needed to enter Parliament.

As a result, Peters would again be the kingmaker come Saturday.

  20. Prof MacCulloch explains how absolutely hopeless Luxon and his advisors are.

    https://breakingviewsnz.blogspot.com/2023/10/robert-macculloch-for-goodness-sakes.html#more

“….But then in the Leaders Debate last night, the PM repeated his claim that NZ is beating every country other than Japan on the GDP numbers… and Luxon let it go.

How could he? His opponent was stating that Labour is a superior economic manager to National based on our GDP performance and it is not true. How on earth could Luxon not challenge him on the most crucial issue of economic competence? “

    • Tiredness? A strategy of showing statesmanship. Scared to make a mistake. There could be many reasons apart from being incompetent.

HDA has said Hipkins said to Luxon before they started the debate: ” Are you going to answer my questions?.”

Maybe Hipkins planted a brain worm in Luxon.

      • This is looking very much like 1990.

a two term liebour goo-mint that was returned with a greater vote for its second term and abhorred by the end of it (in fact 15 months before the end of it)
hipkins had not been as dangerous as Palmer.

Notional Get in and do a piss poor job and after three years nearly get chucked out (1993….2026? )
        dont w/off liebour.
And Bolger was a person people could identify with, by and large.
Kluxon is just too remote and weird.
More remote even than super stud Don Brash.

It was the nine years of notional in the 1990s – 90% of the decade – where NZ slipped so far behind Australia.
        Fuck them for a joke.

  22. just had a wisdom tooth yanked at the dentist, was having a yarn with the receptionist while i waited and asked what she thought about labours free dental for under 30s…
not fucking impressed, rekoned it wouldnt work because the under 18s dental is such a cluster and severely strained/backlogged without adding thousands of others to the queue.
they lost a couple of good dentists too over the past few years to the immigration shambles and uncertainty so they gave up and left nz.
good work labour, create problems then try be heros solving the mess.

btw dunno why the fuck ppl bitch and moan about dental work, i hardly look after my teeth im a feral cnut but if i average it out it probably only costs me a couple hundy a year. today was 300bux but its been almost 18mnths since ive been, last time was $280 for a filling. i only need dentist every 18-24mnths.
cost isnt really a barrier its just muppets cant budget/prioritise their spending. if people are spending or needing to spend thousands per year on dental work then i think the problem isnt the cost its their shity lifestyle and diet.

      • true that, according to vikey i should probably have just told mrs sb shes putting on weight or i banged the neighbour, her handywork with a frypan wouldve saved me $300 on getting the tooth pulled.

          • add the airfare hunty and the local dentist is still more appealing.
youd have to need some serious work to justify going there for dental work, maybe when i need falsies/implants in another 10yrs or so ill look at it.

had a mate in perth get a heap of work done in thailand 4 or 5yrs ago, got back home and a few months later his crowns crumbled, cost him a fortune to get it redone in aussie cuz needed more work then usual to repair the bodge job from thailand.

            • Thailand is world-renowned for its dentistry. Many of their dental surgeries are like 5-star hotels. I just go to my local which is still flash but more of a 3-star setup. Many people come here for 2-3 weeks to get their tooth requirements sorted then relax on the beach as their mouth heals. It’s big business.

Nothing unusual about this. Been done for about 130 years.
Scrutineers are appointed by the parties to do just that. Make sure that there is no skulduggery. You can find the information on the ministry website if you want to educate yourself.

No I am not going to scruitineer.couldn’t put up with useless people like you not being able to understand their voting paper. Have enough trouble with customers who don’t, won’t or can’t read.

    • Well aside from the massive attack a few days latter on Christians worshippers with hundreds and hundreds murdered and over a thousand injured.

This is part of the list of killings in the name of Islam maintained by TheReligionofPeace.com. Most of these incidents are terror attacks. A handful are honor killings or Sharia executions.
During this time period, there were 83 Islamic attacks in 19 countries, in which 1705 people were killed and 4000 injured.

(TROP does not catch all attacks. Not all attacks are immediately posted).

  25. It’s good to be back in Auckland after a couple of weeks in Hokkaido and northern Honshu.
With the current exchange rate of about 87 yen to the $NZ, Japan (esp. Tokyo) is cheap, safe, delicious, and relatively convenient to visit. The number of foreign visitors is increasing.
Having said that, it is good to be back home in Auckland where I have a sense of spatial and temporal affluence that I never enjoyed in Japan.

Despite the doom-and-gloomers (not mentioning anyone in particular on this forum), it is true that in the words of the great New Zealand philosopher-poet Frederick Dagg, “You don’t know how lucky you are, boy. You don’t know how lucky you are.”

Get out there tomorrow and vote for your life.

      • Beorn, if you are going to Kyoto, you could cruise by Wakayama Prefecture. Lived there for nearly 12 months in 1970. Still getting over the pissheads who I lived with and the monumental hangovers that came with them. I can give you a few addresses.

But seriously, if you have the chance go to Nara. It is beautiful and well worth the time.

How old are your children (Tokyo Disneyland?)

December will be crisp and cold in Tokyo, with dry days and blue skies.

Have a look at YouTube videos and let me know what kinds of day-trips / things interest you.

  26. Israel is arming up its citizens. The have massively relaxed gun rules and if you want a modern assault rifle you can step up and grab one. Hopefully the Jewish anti gun lobby in the USA is paying attention. They have changed their tune in the “promised land” pretty fast. Shit is going to get biblical folks.

Israel tried to hand Gaza over to the Egyptians and also the Jordanians. They both said fuck that. Jordan has slaughtered thousands of Palestinians. The Arabs hate the psycho pricks and won’t have them anywhere near their own countries.

    • israel had largely disarmed/ not allowed to arm their population with very strict gun/licencing laws.

guess theres not exactly alot of reasons to be owning guns there tho except security and defense.

      • Yep and Jews have led the far left. The same far left dancing in the streets celebrating their death, rape and torture. This might make a few of them wake up and become decent people. The remainder need to be outed once Israel is secure.

Jews are not persecuted for being Jewish. It is because of the actions of some Jews. Many cultures who persecuted them initially welcomed the “people of the book”. They need to have a good hard look at their interactions around the world and raise their game. The Jews gave us marxism and the largest most murderous regime in history the USSR – which later turned on the Jews. At one point Russia was the biggest Jewish country in the world.

The left financed Hamas and are promising even more aid after the attack. Jews are suicidal.

  27. Earlier in the week I wrote about how the Electoral Commission still sent our son’s early vote card etc. to our place even though he is in Melbourne and had registered with them with his Aussie address.
When I voted today all they asked was for my full name, so I could easily go to another voting place tomorrow and vote again using his easy vote card.
I wonder how many others have the same situation? What about all those going to and from the Maori roll, for example?
I think a full audit of their systems is needed along with a review of the whole roll.

    • I get it. But the best thing for the Palestinians is Israeli rule. I say that for pragmatic and evidence based reasons. Arabs make up 20% of Israel and are part of their government. They enjoy a way better standard of living and liberty than those in the Gaza strip and indeed most of the Arab world.
