  1. The master negotiator is left with rotting eggs all over his nude nut. Yesterday’s announcement of an agreement between the three parties over policy looks a little premature to say the least.
    Prediction
ACT will give up their referendum call.
National will give up their foreign buyers tax.
    Winston will give up nothing.

      • But it was never safe, Little was just telling porkies. There is a very dangerous bottomless pit inside that mine. Close to $100M has fallen into that hole since 2017.

Perhaps Winston, like many of us, figured out that it was just a giant Ponzi scheme,to buy votes and line the pockets of Labour sycophants, by dancing on the graves of the dead, and didn’t want to endorse it.

    • Only sadly he is no negotiator really is he? I don’t think he is good for anything much at all. Davos Dave might not give up the referendum but I bet he has never dealt with anyone as wily as old Winston. You would have to be up in the morning very early to get what he thinks and nude nut has not the skills nor the ability to deal with him. Hope he gets everything he campaigned on.
On a brighter note at least it is not raining this morning. I may get the lawn mown before the next lot of rain is due.
Have a safe day out there today Hippy kins is in charge and we need to be safe.

      • Lizzie, problem with the Old Aged Pensioner from Herne Bay as I see it, is that he is able to get a lot of what he asks for but has very little ability to understand or carry out the finer details of any agreement his name is attached too.

The same will happen within this coalition agreement when or if it comes to fruition.

    • i notice theres very little mentioned about Act all the coverage is nude nut and winnies coalition talks… ACT confidence but not supply like he mentioned???

i think nats would have to offer too big of a bribe for seymour to ditch the referendum.

Heading towards 6 weeks and nothing is changing, they are still lying through their teeth it’s pathetic.
Wait until We see what the maggot manages to arse ream out of the “great negotiator” LOL.

Trumpy at a rally in Iowa in the weekend said when he is back as president it will be “drill, drill, drill”.

Wainuiomata man shot by police was a deportee with a history of violent crime
    Ryan Anderson05:00, Nov 21 2023

The man shot by police on Thursday in Wainuiomata on Thursday, Tane Wipa, is believed to have been deported to New Zealand in 2012 due to a history of violent offending, Stuff understands.

According to police, a man had been shot one time after threatening his partner with a weapon. Stuff understands he, Wipa, was wielding a screwdriver and holding it to her neck.

He died at the scene despite police providing medical assistance. The woman involved was not injured.

Since Matty the bender resigned from T.V things have been very difficult around here, Riccardo is beside himself and flouncing even more than usual, Chloe is on a handful of Ritalin just to hold it together – just between me, you and the gate post it isn’t working too well. Mrs Mugabe and the Persian rug are organizing a petition and a march to get him to stay. He hasn’t said it, but we intuitive Greens all know he’s being pushed out by cis white males for being gay. This sort of travesty is also why we support the Palestinians. I’m thinking of starting a give a little page to send him over there to organise a hui that will help everyone calm down.

  9. Just after New Years, 50 year old Bob went to his doctor for his annual physical and confided that he was sick of his wife and wanted to kill her. Bob asked the doctor if he knew of any drugs that would do the job without suspicion.

Not wanting to be part of a murder, the doctor told Bob “Don’t do that. All you need to do is screw her twice a day and take her dancing in every nightclub in town. She’ll be dead in a year.”
    “Really?”, asked Bob.
“I guarantee it”, said the doctor.

So Bob left and the doctor blew a sigh of relief.

The year went by and around Thanksgiving, the doctor walked into a restaurant with a dance floor and sees Bob sitting in a chair. Bob’s hair is snow-white, he’s using a walker, and he looks like he’s 90 years old. The doctor looks out on the dance floor and sees Bob’s wife dressed in a miniskirt, leading a conga line, and pirouetting about like a ballerina. All he can do is stammer “My God, your wife looks terrific!”

Bob says “She sure does. And she’s only got a month to live.”

  10. By sheer hard work, beginning in the Depression, my father, with the help of his family, developed a dairy farm. Many such families exist in New Zealand – families who have worked together, who help one another, who serve the community voluntarily, who stand up for their children when they get into difficulties, and who help their members to achieve their goals.’

I believe the most effective government the country can have is one that believes in free enterprise, encourages hard work, keeps control and regulation to a minimum, carefully controls State spending, and sets taxation rates that are an incentive, not a disincentive, to work.’

It was his small farming background which frames his thinking. As for ‘working-class Tories’, Peters thinks that success derives principally from hard work and personal discipline. Such Tories can be suspicious of welfare because it tends to sap initiative. While they are often sympathetic to those in difficulty, they have an antipathy to collective action.

      • Freethinker, Winston/NZF always present a suitable basket of pre-election policies. He even gets appointed to important ministerial portfolios and even deputy pm. It’s keeping his ego and bluster in check that has been the downfall of his promises and expulsion until the next election round.

“Look here Sunshine, I’m not here for your benefit” or some similar refrain before Winston derails again. 🤣

    • It comes down to will & can David Seymour do the heavy lifting?
Particularly where it aligns with ACT policy.

I do not think a wider scope for Commission of Inquiry of Covid-19 will eventuate, despite Seymour saying he would a few weeks before the election.
Will some other back bencher push & hold their feet to the fire? along side with some one like Brian Tamaki?

At least Julian Batchelor will continue on the Stop CoGovernance.
GroundSwell will also keep pushing on the systemic Emissions & Zero Carbon & 3-10 Water

So that leaves it how that social ‘influence’ from the alarmists media system keeps on drumming.

The time of the Bolger government was Bill Birch just quietly got on with things & did all the work around Budgets & so that the “The Treasurer” Winston Peters could make glorious announcements.

We are the ones who also have to make the most of how the cards have been dealt & be active.!

  11. CO2 and climate change. A good although slightly technical article

    https://wattsupwiththat.com/2023/11/20/dlr-curiosities/

“Now, there are several things of note in this graph. ( you will need to click on the link to see the graph)

First, the total change in greenhouse radiation is more than three times the change due to CO2. Presumably, this must be from a combination of changes in water vapor, latent/sensible heat loss, atmospheric solar absorption, and increased surface temperature.

Next, CO2 is the minor player in the greenhouse DLR game. Non-CO2 clear-sky DLR increase over the 2000-2022 period was ~ 3.2 W/m2. Cloud DLR decrease was ~ 1 W/m2. But the CO2 change was only 0.7 W/m2, the smallest of the three.

Next, I theorized a couple of decades ago that thunderstorms, clouds, and other emergent phenomena act to oppose temperature changes and thereby stabilize the temperature. Since then, I’ve provided a variety of evidence to back up that claim. Here, in Fig. 1 you can see that while greenhouse DLR from CO2 and from water vapor are increasing, to the contrary, the greenhouse DLR from the clouds is decreasing. This is evidence in favor of my theory.”

Rodney Wayne slams ‘young people today’ for demanding living wage amid hairdresser shortage
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/lifestyle/2023/11/rodney-wayne-slams-young-people-today-for-demanding-living-wage-amid-hairdresser-shortage.html

“I don’t understand why they have to get the living wage.”

Wayne, the founder of Rodney Wayne Hair Salons, was recently inducted into the Franchise Association’s Hall of Fame and reckoned the past few years were the toughest in more than half a century being involved in the industry.

He told AM his business was plagued by staff shortages and believed New Zealand “stuffed up” its apprenticeship system.

Wayne said apprentices “demand” the living wage, which reflects the cost of living but differs from the legally required minimum wage.

COVID-19 lockdowns were “the most ridiculous two years we’ve ever had”, he said.

He was hopeful the incoming Government would fix migration settings to further ease those shortages.

    9

    • …….” his business was plagued by staff shortages”……

Then he could try paying wages that made working for his business worthwhile or even irresistible. That’s the way the market economy, which the readership of this blog normally backs unconditionally, works.

        • nasska, same as your landlord gripe the labour market cant function as a free market due to welfare state and minimum wage.

          5

          0

          • Welfare is totally out of control in this country. The dole & DPB for starters need pruned until there is no such thing as long term job vacancies. Then abolish Welfare for Landlords aka the accommodation supplement.

But your statement that ” the labour market cant function as a free market due to welfare state and minimum wage” is a crock of shit. Both are handbrakes on the economy but if an employer wants decent staff he/she better get their heads around the concept of paying more than fifty cents over the minimum wage.

If they have to raise prices for their products/services then so be it even though it will be inflationary. The pressure will then go where it should go……..on to the spendthrifts in Government.

  17. It seems we have to keep an eye on the feints, the old “shell game” while they may do a “bait & switch” as well about Environment, Sustainability Carbon Zero in creating another ponzi scheme. … etc..

…….. “ESG” was the next attempt to monetize the un-monetizable, with the “E” part of that acronym standing for Environment, ill-defined as that was.
Now ESG is failing. Market leaders say it is facing “a perfect storm of negative sentiment” and its U.S. investments fell by $163 billion in the first quarter of 2023 alone.

Its stepchild, Net-Zero, is so loathed, it looks like it might blow up the entire carbon scam.
Says Australian senator Matt Canavan, “Net-Zero has absolutely carked it. It is a soundbite and totally insane.
Almost everything we grow, we make, we do in our society relies on the use of fossil fuels.”
Vanguard has pulled out of Net-Zero funds.
The British government too is backing out of Net-Zero, saying “we won’t save the planet by bankrupting the British people.”
New Zealand’s new government revised the country’s Net-Zero plans in its first week in office.
In the hard hit Netherlands, the Farmer-Citizen movement is now the dominant party in the Dutch senate and every provincial assembly.
Sweden has abandoned its 100 percent Net-Zero plans and Norway has announced another $18 billion in oil and gas investments. ……..

Whether it is Shane Jones appropriated taxpayers money to seed this venture, and then still it is all this tax payers money being out to them in the supposed Carbon Credits.
Unbelievable amounts of money of those Carbon Credits seem to be in the $millions.

It has become so big that it is now part of buying up farms, to plant up,
A bit of the shenanigans did show up earlier this year, when they had blanket sprayed out, then the 2 cyclones this year wiped it,
and some of those political names came up in that fiasco.

One of the ironic things is that it seems the existing native bush in maori hands, would be paid out in ongoing carbon credits.
Maybe I am wrong, but I understand that ordinary New Zealanders that have stands of native bush receive no pay out or those Carbon Credits.
Most likely pay full rates for that land also.
Possibly minimum size may matter, but then that is a screw you as always has been in the “agenda 2021” etc., etc., as a lead to the total scamming by the corporates & their elites, whether maori or european.

Now can we point that MP National Sam Uffindell fraud consultant on to their game.
And sort out some wheat from the chaffe in the Serious Fraud Office.
That may well pay for some tax cuts 🙂

      Edit : so right nasska,

      • “Maybe I am wrong, but I understand that ordinary New Zealanders that have stands of native bush receive no pay out or those Carbon Credits.”
That is correct S1 my understanding is that only trees planted after 1990 qualify.
Rachael’s comment about pasture is equally valid, no credit for grass even though they do sequester CO2. If native bush and grasslands were included NZ would already be carbon neutral.
The whole scheme is a gigantic scam.

        10

        0

        • Thanks Curious
“Only tree planted after 1990 qualify”

I recall some farmer at the time had planted thousands of trees on their farms, in riparian strips, wind breaks, spread on steep sidling’s etc., but they even though planted after 1990 did not fit into the strict criteria being applied, by canopy, and certain minimum measurements which I know left many farmers in those time totally frustrated.

That left a number of farmers ruing the day they did not cut over some of the bush on their easier land.
I know one who was holier than thou in supporting this in Bolger’s term & was fully on board pushing for this,.
But he had milled hundreds of acres on his property, & sure he kept some bush on the very steep hills,

In the mean time the Labour government has been activating & pushing on the Significant Natural Areas.
Then through recent legislation set up Regional Councils to apply even more costly rules, regulations etc., through requiring even more plans to be started, which became triggered post election.

Curious you are so right, “a gigantic scam” where the ones who could see the wrinkles have made a killing, beyond what many of us can figure.
A life of Riley, where overseas they can spend & enjoy life.
If they come back to NZ, just to arrange another money carbon formula, then phone is left off the hook, and/or use burner phones.

It is just another way, a form of tearing down New Zealanders, by removing money from them, stressing them, as less money around, while the government handles the ponzi $ making machine to short fall the rest of us.

The richest 1% of humanity produces more carbon emissions than the poorest 66% combined, according to a devastating new report from Ofxam.

Those in the top 1% include billionaires, millionaires, and those paid more than £112,500 (NZ $231,000) per year – so 77 million people in total.

    • Fuck Oxfam 2 facedness.
Have they vaguely woken up, thinking of food
What do those educated wooses know? 2+2 = 4 but ok with 5 if being generous to you or will short you to 3 if they are feeling “kindly”

I would think they would be serious in counting farmers in another way, like including them, by according it the gross earnings of a farm.

Little do they consider the consequences of what they push.
So many jobs gone. Just dancing & singing is it?

Te Whatu Ora/Health NZ – the centralised health system that came into effect on the 1st of July 2022 – has spent over $70 million in their 1st year to the 31 July 2022 on the Big 4. The health system is under huge pressure and Te Whatu Ora won’t disclose any deliverables or milestones associated with these contracts. It’s not just the public sector that is bloated and underperforming.

After the revolutionary He Puapua report was brought to public attention for the first time in April 2021, Judith Collins and David Seymour did their best to spark discussion about its implications — especially with regard to the threat that race-based policies pose to democratic principles.

The report — relying on a radical interpretation of the Treaty — charted a path of self-determination for iwi that culminated in a separate Maori Parliament to be put in place by the 200th anniversary of its signing in 2040.

RATING DOWNGRADES IF 3 WATERS AXED
International credit rating agency S&P says repealing the Affordable Water Reforms could result in local government downgrades.

No longer known as 3 waters it seems. Its like the housing affordable. The money lending parasites can fuck off.
We have plenty of super funds that can be invested on these things for longterm.

    • International credit agencies just prepping us for the financial kill, and they know they are safe in their enclaves.

Sure some of the Councils are run by Dorks, but at least we can find them easily, as they live amongst us.
Once it gets away from the local council, local people, then like the thread above about Carbon Zero, Carbon Credits, Maori Carbon Credits & Collectives, all those elitists will be in for the skim.

It makes me even feel sorry how those Maoris were being ripped off, as we too are being ripped off by reckless accountable councils on frills, thrills high perk travels etc.. & only receiving frippery, bread & circuses too.

To invest in those councils need an audited prospectus, to bring accountability, & proper contracts before 1 penny of super funds.
To be more in the days of old where many people put money in as a form of a guaranteed bond.
So why has that been stopped.

Same as Muldoon put his nuts in a vice, having inflation proof bonds.
Probably one of those things that pushed him to the prize freeze wage freeze ways.
Always lessons to be learnt, but why is so much thrown out with the bath water & then forgotten.
Maybe not perfect, but good for the small time saver. 🙂

Simply put, get it back to is it Charles Dicken’s MacCawber’s? quote,
      Income 20/- Expenditure 20/6d = Unhappiness
      Income 20/- Expenditure 19/6d = Happiness,
Why all this fancy financing, economics which far too often seems to cover the skim & scamsters
