  1. Ooohhh! Let’s change the name of the well known township, Pokeno to Pookeno, just because some fake Natives demand it.

And while we are doing it, let’s not consult the community.

Pookeno, this is why this country is in the shit. Dumbarse, lily liberal, white, appeasing, local Councilors who should be representing their voters, do exactly the opposite.

      Unbelievable,
Be careful out there today its not a wet day by the weather forecast, but you never know storms could reach our land, actually feel so sorry for them the forecasters have no freaking idea what they are saying in regards to the weather, and kids of an age where they are running riot are out to get ya.

On the same subject, it’s noticeable that whenever such things as pointless ‘name changing,, or incorporation of more ‘Native culture’ occurs, the chief protagonist is invariably female.

No idea why, but it seems to be very ‘gender-specific’.

        • I have noticed how lousy decision making has become since females were inserted into positions of power – Clarke/Ardern/Wilson/La Garde/Teresa May/Pelosi/Killary/Yellen/Mahuta, give the dept a Mawree name and corruption and a total catastroophe follows.

Now they are really taking the poo.

According to Google Translate (Maori to English):
Pōkeno > Pokeno. The macron is just virtue signalling to make it look like a more cultured language.
        Pookeno > Bad Luck.

        They are taking the piss.

        Unbelievable,
The phrase, “proper Maori spelling” cracked me up. Remind me which alphabet the natives have, again?
“ The name would still sound the same but spelt differently, she said.”
Uh uh. If you wilfully spell it in English a stupid way that bears no resemblance to how it should sound in English, don’t expect me to play your silly game. It’s now POO-keen-o – meaning, “The place where one feels the urge to shit”.

    • … The town’s name derives from the Maori village of Pokino located north of the present town centre, which ceased to exist on the eve of General Cameron’s invasion of the Waikato in July 1863. ….

So much of google even from a few years ago have been automatically turned to poo on their kin.
      Like an April fool’s day.

I would not be surprized as as I know some things have been changed, like on google maps, and the the locals are still totally unaware of the change.
And that is between one maori name to another totally different maori name.

    • $286,900 a year??????? And they did not even spell Davos Daves name correctly. Was that the reporter or the Human rights commission with the scribble face? They called him Segymore. He cannot close the place down soon enough for me.

      14

      0

      • Yep, $286,900 per year, to have someone sit along side the CEO to do the same job as the CEO. A mere snip at that salary, ’cause they could have paid the scribbled faced one, a lot more.

And no doubt if she speaks Te Lingo, she will be paid an additional $3,500 per year on top of the wages. Gravy and train, meet.

  3. Biden Impeachment Inquiry Vote Will Come Next Week: Speaker Johnson
House Republicans noted that the impeachment of President Donald Trump did not proceed as methodically.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) announced Tuesday that a vote to authorize an inquiry into the impeachment of President Joe Biden will happen next week, before the House breaks for the holidays.

“The House has no choice if it’s going to follow its constitutional responsibility to formally adopt an impeachment inquiry on the floor so that when the subpoenas are challenged in court, it will be at the apex of our constitutional authority,” he said during a press conference.

“This vote is not a vote to impeach President Biden. This is a vote to continue the inquiry of impeachment, and that’s a necessary constitutional step.”

    • “..if the operator removes the charging cable without cancelling the charge, an electrical arc between the charging plug and the vehicle may occur…”

That is not a software fault. It is a design flaw, and a training manual flaw. And it indicates it never went through testing, either dummy testing or professional testing. Any registered sparky who has worked on DC knows that disconnecting a live DC circuit, will produce an arc.

And if the charging bay is close to the beach or in a seaside town and the car owner is barefoot, then it could be “goodnight nurse”.

And one the plug and or socket has sustained an arc, even one arc, the contacts will be damaged and may lead to subsequent overheating and a potential fire risk.

So all designed in an office and the designers never actually considered what would happen if the customer tries to unplug it while it is charging. Idiots.

Thyroid disorders, especially hypothyroidism, may be linked to COVID-19 vaccinations as possible adverse reactions, reports a recent Indian study.

Thyroid disorders, especially hypothyroidism, may be linked to COVID-19 vaccinations as possible adverse reactions, reports a recent Indian study.

The study authors from Banaras Hindu University identified 75 cases of thyroid disturbance after COVID-19 vaccinations. Patients who took vaccinations after recovery from COVID-19 had an added risk of post-vaccine adverse reactions and the persistence of such reactions.
While the study only investigated vector-based vaccines of AstraZeneca and Indian biotech company Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin, neither of which are available in the United States, isolated cases of thyroiditis “exist in the early period of COVID-19 vaccinations, largely after mRNA vaccines,” the authors wrote in the study abstract.

      • Sue any political that said it was ‘safe and effective’
when they had no valid platform to do so.
Especially if they said it was the Podium of Truth – POT

I cannot tell you that a train is ‘safe and effective’ when I have no qualifications to do so.
I cannot tell you that an Airplane is ‘safe and effective’ when I have no qualifications to do so.

Why should a politician who took 7 years to do a BA tell you anything and you are expected to believe it .
eg Robbers son took 7 years to get a BA at Shitago

    • Sometimes the pressure to be jabbed is ceaseless & unrelenting, from many parts of the medical establishment.
From the receptionist, the different nurses, and the different Doctors, Chemist, media, etc., that are involved with a Patient to create “the new normal”.

The success of Propaganda is in its repetition, that affects your “balance” of what is normal?
Just a casual routine from the receptionist, “Are you up to date with the booster”? “Let me check”.
So it slowly feeds into your mind-set, even if you think you are fighting against it.
One can not rail against it so much, as you are dependent on other parts of the systemic medics.
Sure one can be annoyed, but then one has to bite one tongue.

It becomes the “new & safest normal” to be vaccinated, and being normal is the way to being safe, which is innately inbuilt in us.
The systemic medics just keep on dripping like water on a stone, like hypnotists.

  8. A young, fit looking Woman, is walking past a Pet Shop where she notices a Sign in the window :-
“Good home needed for Clitoris-Licking Frog.”
The woman goes inside and says to the Shopkeeper,
“I noticed you have a Clitoris-Licking Frog? I’ll take one.”
    He packages up a Frog.
The woman sneaks out the door and rushes home. She gets home… takes out the instructions and reads them carefully doing exactly what it says to do….
Take a shower. Put on some nice smelling perfume.
Put on a very sexy Nightie.
Get into Bed, spread your Legs and put the Frog. Down “THERE”
    To her surprise, Nothing Happens.
So, she thought, perhaps the Scent she chose is not appealing to the Frog… So, she showers again… and tries another Perfume.
She gets back into Bed, puts the Frog between her Legs and again,
    NOTHING.
She’s totally frustrated and pissed off at this point. She reads the instructions again thinking that there might be something she overlooked.
At the bottom of the paper it says… If you have any problems or questions, please call the Pet Store.
    So, she does.
The man behind the counter says, “I’ve had a few complaints earlier today, I’ll be right over to check out the problem”…???
A few minutes later he knocks on the door. He enters and says, “You’ll have to show me exactly what you did”..??
    She does.
She showers, puts on the Perfume and the Nightie, gets into Bed… and puts the Frog between her Legs.
    NOTHING HAPPENS.
She says, “see, I’ve done everything according to the instructions and the damn thing just sits there.”
The man looking very concerned, picks up the Frog, looks directly into its Eyes and says,
“RIGHT.. I’M ONLY GOING TO SHOW YOU HOW TO DO THIS. ONE MORE TIME”..

  9. What a fantastic profit centre these jabs are for the medical industrial complex.
Very wide range of side effects requiring ongoing treatment with more drugs. Increased doctors visits.
Hard to pin the cause on the vax given diverse nature of side effects. If it kills a few never mind there’s still plenty of wiiling suckers stepping up to keep the dollars flowing.

    9

    • C, it is not just the Medical Industrial Complexes. the IWI around the country have hugely benefited. Yesterday, here in Taumarunui, a local IWI had set up a Tent City on one of the Maori pieces of land in the main street and were advertising the Jab for the scared and the gullible.

Strangely enough, this is not the Maori Trust who did the COVID jabbing here at the peak of COVID jabbing in 2021 – 22. Yesterday’s lot was an IWI who obviously saw the financial benefit of administering the jab. I am not sure why anyone would go to get a medical procedure from anyone sitting on stool on a plot of grass in a tent next to the main trunk railway line with goods trains going back and forth at regular intervals and an organisation who does not specialise in medical procedures or sticking needles into people.

        • Well Revvy, I live in what once would have been a claimed, depressed area or region. 46% of the population, claiming to be Maori.

What I can say, is the wealth distribution has definitely changed. Older Maori (not all but quite a few) who I once used to have a beer with down at the RSA and drove clapped out Toyota’s are now driving expensive fastback 5 or 6 series BMW’s and young Maori I see around town driving top of the range V8 Sport Range Rovers. These are not clapped out heaps of shit but pricey motors. This newfound wealth has only come about in recent years. Much of of the wealth is misplaced as most of them still live in the very crappy unpainted former State house with their old broken down mistreated Toyota or Nissan sitting derelict on the front lawn. But it is the arrogance level and sense of entitlement in these people is what has racked up quite a few notches,.

    “Thanks Doc,I’ll tell the Missus.”

A few days later the farmer is back with his wife and daughter . “Doc,can you just take a look at my girl and talk to my wife? Tell her what you told me? She keeps nagging me about our girl. Says pretending is one thing but this isn’t normal.”

“ Okay”says the doctor. “Bring her in” The mother comes in with the little girl. The child comes down the hall clucking and pecking and scratching at the floor . She won’t respond to any questions. The doctor is shocked. “My God,man! This is terrible. How long has she been like this?”

The farmer shuffles his feet and sheepishly admits “Well, about two years.”

“TWO YEARS? Why didn’t you bring her sooner?”

The farmer and his wife exchange sheepish glances . Then the wife says “Well,we needed the eggs and she’s our best layer.”

Because it is not a perfect fit for what is expected, there can be a momentary pause which causes the process to stutter and a letter in the code can get skipped, much like a bike slipping a gear.

This process, called frameshifting, throws out the way the code is interpreted as it relies on groups of three bases, known as codons, being read in the right order.

This issue, caused by the jab’s code, throws the process completely out of sync and the entire subsequent code becomes garbled.

    • If you have been in the States and watched network television it is so much medical advertising. This was over ten years ago for me.

Without medical/pharma advertising the Networks – ABC, NBC, Fox, BCS, – would not be in the form they are today.
They could not pay the multi million dollar salaries (like $20 million, per person, per year) without it.
      ————

the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) legalized pharmaceutical advertising on television in the mid-1980s, and drug companies view the ads as an increasingly effective way to target viewers — especially older Americans — who need more extensive medical care and treatment
      ———-
In 2020, the pharmaceutical industry spent 4.58 billion U.S. dollars on advertising on national TV in the United States, unsurprisingly representing a big shift in spending compared to the 2019 pre-covid market.

In 2020 TV ad spending of the pharma industry accounted for 75 percent of the total ad spend.

    • The same is inferred when there is natural erosion.

Plus totally forgotten about is erosion in total, from a land mass which is most likely much more than what melted Ice would contribute.
Though fortunately some of the up lift by Kaikoura earth quake solved their problem in the Canterbury area, on average ???? 😉

All those bench marks, for datum on marine maps, studied out from Captain’s Cook time, plus naval mapping surveys done through the centuries not really changed at all.
Now the authorities are setting out to almagate all of that to a new system to make the datum as a standard global system.
Now would you think there would be no fudging on that????

It has really seemed to be negligible rises, though increases per year this century is a tad more or is that the fudge? to cause alarm.
The reasons why are answers that many others wish to hear, as in careers & money are to be made.

    • I was winding up a local at Raumati beach in the Kapiti coast a few weeks ago.

      There is sand loss/erosion there.
As I pointed out it is merely sand moving from here, not actual sand loss. It still exists.

Then proceeded to tell her those bastards at Waitarere beach are stealing it to make their beach bigger.

Even Stuffed have inadvertently reported the truth
      https://www.stuff.co.nz/manawatu-standard/manawatu-top-stories/300420637/new-levinwaitrere-surf-club-has-the-go-ahead-after-long-wait

New surf club building… as the sand has built up the clubhouse has got further away from the sea.
      I guess, climate change 🙂

      ——
….The original building was built in the 1950s and at the time was about 35 metres away from the high water mark. Now, 70 years later, the building is about 80m away. The beach was growing away from the building by 1.5m to 2m a year, according to Parkin….
      —–
      Damnnnn !

Of course the maths from Stuffed does not stack up. They like to be dramatic.
70 years X 1.5 metres is say 110 metres change.
My Uncle living in Levin told me about this 20 years ago. And it is half a metre a year which is what the above calc would yield – 80 metre minus 35 metres – 45 metres change in 70 years.

The Wreck of the Hydrabad ship that grounded over 100 years ago has been covered up by this sand growth (Stolen from Kapiti…) .

    • Time for the police to call the email bullshitters out. We know the threats are coming from overseas. And none have been credible. Besides, how the hell do you get hold of explosives in New Zealand to make a bomb? Anyway I doubt the New Zealand coppers would recognise C4 if they tripped over it.

The attacks require carpet bombing and ground patrols to mop up survivors.

“Health New Zealand: Where is your analysis of your data? Why aren’t you publishing it?
As my friend Robert “St. Augustine” Malone has wisely said, “Truth is like a lion: Let it loose and it will defend itself.” The truth has now been set free. Why aren’t you showing us your analysis?”

“HNZ: I have an important message for you.

The only way you can mitigate damages now is to show us your analysis of your own data showing the COVID vaccines are completely safe.

Why are you hiding this? Surely, you have the analysis. Show us all the analyses you did since the start of the vaccine rollout. You have to show us all documents with dates, showing us every safety analysis you did on your own data. If you don’t we’ll get it via FOIA request.”

I’d suggest that everyone of us start asking health New Zealand some questions.

  19. Email from Peter Williams (it goes on, but this bit gives you the idea). . .

“I’m sorry for the long email, but this one’s urgent. I’m just back from a meeting with our Three Waters team in Wellington, and I feel sick.
We all knew that the last Government was doing all it could to embed Three Waters, but it is much worse than we thought.
To put it mildly, the officials are going to town to pile on the ‘official advice’ that scrapping Three Waters is illegal and all too hard. They are delighted to have an unexpected Minister who hasn’t worked in the area and they are working hard to ‘school’ him on the sector.
At a confidential briefing last night, we discovered that the Department of Internal Affairs has hired 427 policy officials for Three Waters. That is whole office floors of bureaucrats working on policy alone.
As we suspected, they worked right through the election period – and were even signing binding contracts after the election and while the coalition deals were being negotiated!
The 427 people are nothing to do with actual front-line services, infrastructure maintenance, pipes, or actual water (that’s the job for the separate army of officials that have been hired by the new co-governed water entities). The 427 is just the central bureaucracy to set up and design policy applicable to the Three Waters co-governed entities!
In short, it’s all at risk. Unless we kick back into gear, it was all for nothing. There’s no nice way to put this, but we need your urgent support.
What we now know: officials have set a trap for the incoming government
The officials have gone about and signed up to exorbitant office leases, IT contracts we understand will cost around $500 million, and $12 million for ‘iwi collectives’ deepening the roots of co-governance.
All up, it looks like the officials have racked-up a billion dollars of contracted costs that the new Government can’t get out of.
That’s $503 for every New Zealand household – and not one cent of that went to actually fixing pipes!”

A sentence that encapsulates the total achievements of the last administration. Money thrown around, wasted & not accounted for producing zero tangible results. Consultants, advisors & iwi bludgers have ripped us off ad nauseam.

A pattern is now appearing even if it is in many forms.
So many Government departments Unions, plus media seems to be all orchestrated.
Not that all would be in on it, but have the motive of self righteousness, and many are happy to dip their snout into a dollop of money.
The Public Service civil servants, whatever the techno-bureaucrats, along with the media have gone rogue, a form of sedition, truly treason to set the stage for a coup.

So much legislation passed with trip wires to become active after the election.
To make New Zealand ungovernable to gain a coup?

  20. Farming dimwitted unaware meat puppets is highly profitable. The funny part is they are not lent money. The money is created by their borrowing. So they are paying this to create a debt they then rent from the bank. Then spend their lives in servitude. The worst cases are actually proud of it. Nearly all of this goes off shore.

Latest RBNZ figures show New Zealanders’ interest bill on mortgages topped $4.6 billion in the September quarter, putting us on target to pay well north of $17 billion to the banks in mortgage interest for the full 2023 year

    • Humour this poorly educated retired farmer.

If “the money is created by their borrowing” I presume that it isn’t offset by others’ savings deposits. Wouldn’t this be totally inflationary?

We know that profits go offshore as they do in just about every sphere of NZ commerce hence our disappearing tax base. But what of the repayments of capital from the mortgage instalments? How are they accounted for?

      4

      0

      • It is not offset by others savings. You do not borrow deposited money. Borrowing creates money and most money is created through mortgages.

(A fraction of deposits are kept as a reserve. Hence – fractional reserve banking. )

It causes inflation which is a reduction in value of a dollar – NOT A GAIN IN VALUE. The repayments of capital are mostly repayments on the grossly inflated cost determined by how much money is printed. Note that Ardern increased prices 40% in 18 months as the countries wealth plummeted, simply by printing money.

          • They can’t unless they really try and then the government bails them out. They did it in the GFC by using highly complicated methods.

The GFC was where inflated house prices in one country destroyed the entire global economy and we have NEVER recovered. They printed money like crazy and that “fraction as a reserve” was worked around. They made movies and docos about it.

This is why we need to kill those who encourage the housing ponzi. It is simple self defense. Nothing cruel or extreme about it.

            • ……”They can’t unless they really try and then the government bails them out.”……

I don’t get it. If XXX Bank can create money to lend then it effectively prints money at will. There’s got to be more to it.

              4

              0

              • Sure like Zimbabwe did. But like I said – it gets more and more worthless. If they printed off a million dollars for everyone in NZ house prices would go up a million dollars immediately. People who should be killed will think that is capital gains. It is not. It is a devalued dollar.

They don’t print money. It is a computer entry made from debt. All money is issued as debt. Debt is how new money is made.

None of this is complicated and there are tons of simple videos online showing how it works. Well works for the banks anyway.

                3

                0

              • If I understand this correctly it goes like this.
                A depoits 100k into bank B
Bank B lends C 600k and retains a portion of the deposit as a reserve say 10% C pays D 700k for a property so 600k created. D deposits 700k into bank F . Now Bank F can do the same process retain 10% and lend the next punter a much larger amount and so on. Kea is correct this can be done about seven times with credit (money) being created out of thin air.

                3

                0

                • In terms of banks going broke this can happen if there is a run of depositers wanting their money out. As the bank has only kept a small reserve in cash they can’t withstand too many people at once wanting their funds back. Also a large fall in the asset price could trigger it as happened with Silicon valley bank. In NZ they mostly invest in mortgages so a property crash could trigger a bank failure. Even though the money was created out of thin air once it has been created it can become someone elses asset. For example if the bank pools the mortgages and sell them to an investor.

                  3

                  0

          • Exactly “kill those who encourage the housing ponzi”
The ones who are greater in number that vote & demand the government to reduce taxes via the scam of “work for families” to make it zero tax contribution, then the very same demand accommodation allowances to pay the landlord.

Then once the final curb stomp is done, and far fewer tenants demand to be a tenant drops off, then a surplus of land lord’s houses will be apparent, so the land lords then compete, in various ways, like reducing rents to attract the remainder of tenants.

Whoops there is a problem, to which both governments would figure how to fill the landlord houses, with tenants. Just import them.
            So the knee jerks continue.

With their votes so good to have the WFF, plus rewards for babies.

And so the cycle continues as NZ is well signed up for the migrants, whether via UN which commits kiwis can be allowed to fully debate, and to trade deals.

Luxon is going to do an Indian trade deal, and that will be well curried along.

            • Edit > not < to insert in the above comment..
“UN which commits kiwis can > not < be allowed to fully debate",

Is that a switch to tenants with the power of the vote to get more $ needs to be "curb stomped"

The Labour government just handed out millions & indeed billions for No noticeable or true foundational benefit that is accountable.

Sometimes it seems land lords get blamed so why not blame the Ford Ranger & BMW dealers where eventually got feed the money from their many purchasers that need real great transport.

          • It seems that a small number of people seem to benefit from the capital gains.
While at the same time a tax on capital gains tax becomes a tax on wealth.

The government loves it, as so easy to gain votes, by taxing the gain on the land lord’s house, that the government has created.
Once started it then takes a life of its own to find the “gain” on whatever to tax, where it prints more money.

Nasska & myself remember the times of Muldoon, Douglas, Richardson, Winston Peters the Treasurer, trying to bring down inflation, as interest soared out for some business’s overdrafts to 30%
Indeed sometimes on overnight bank settlement to bank cash rates went 200% – 300%,

The stock market crash of 1987 where money seemed to float around everywhere being totally ‘wild west’ & wasted.
The Monies value of companies totally wiped out.
In some ways it was sort of surplus money, play money of dreams about the good life for some.
            For others it was devastation.
You may think it was play money but there were new building going up, other things seeming worthy in production, development, but it smoke & mirrors.

I often see it was funny that more than a few years later, it was all being said, The Share Market Top 40 is back to the peak. ….. yeah right ….
Certainly not the Top 4O of the old era, and that money, value was totally lost !

            • Kea:—- I take your point on capital gains tax.
It is a symptom of a much deeper problem, like inflation is.
Undisciplined Government ! An elitist agenda. Uneducated People as being Dumbed down.

One of the next big hits coming will be from Local Government, with the Councils putting up Rates.

What goes up in Rates, never comes down, unlike interest rates.

That is another form of land tax & a capital tax.
Also that “uniform services tax” “rubbish” “water” that no house tenant seems to be charged.
So great to turn up a Council meeting demanding the nice things, & in great numbers get those luvvie councillors to agree & with those numbers vote for them.

It is a total dismissal of market forces, to peoples demands.

It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury.
From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, …..

  21. A pharmacist’s registration will be cancelled and he will have to fork out $55,000 in legal fees after he publicly denounced the Government’s Covid-19 response and heckled former Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, forcing her to shut down a press conference.

The Northland healthcare professional also made multiple claims that amounted to conspiracy and when he was formally advised of complaints against him which alleged professional misconduct, he publicly shared the name and address of the complainant.

Shane Chafin moved to New Zealand from America in 2014 and was employed as a pharmacist for the Northland District Health Board (NDHB) in Whangārei until 2019.

In late 2021, Chafin began appearing on podcasts and multiple websites, including far-right media outlet Counterspin Media, voicing his views on the Government’s Covid-19 response.

He also attended a press conference on November 2, 2021, in Kawakawa being held by then Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and heckled her with questions about the safety of the Pfizer vaccine.

    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/northern-advocate/news/northland-pharmacist-shane-chafins-registration-to-be-cancelled-ordered-to-pay-55k/GFQCSQH3WFDGFDNNTID6WUJW4I/

Five complaints were lodged against him, including one from a Whangārei GP.

This triggered a professional misconduct charge being laid against him by the Professional Conduct Committee of the pharmacy council (PCC), alleging he acted in an unprofessional manner and failed to have regard for his professional responsibilities.

  22. Oh, the irony

Appointed by new Labour PM Jacinda Ardern in 2018, Cindy Kiro headed the Welfare Expert Advisory Group (WEAG) tasked with reviewing and recommending reforms to the welfare system. Kiro had been Children’s Commissioner during Helen Clark’s Labour government but returned to academia subsequently.

In 2019 the WEAG reported back with 42 recommendations including:

Recommendation 11: Remove some obligations and sanctions (for example, pre-benefit activities, warrants to arrest sanctions, social obligations, drug-testing sanctions, 52-week reapplication requirements, sanctions for not naming the other parent, the subsequent child work obligation, and the mandatory work ability assessment for people with health conditions or disabilities).

Most of these recommendations were adopted. For example single mothers no longer have to name the fathers of their children and if she has another baby while on a benefit there is no reset of her work obligations.

Yesterday, as Governor General, Dame Cindy Kiro delivered the Speech from the Throne on behalf of the new National – ACT – NZ First government. She said:

“Having 11 per cent, or one in nine New Zealanders of working age on a main benefit, means too many people are dependent on the effort of their fellow citizens instead of being self-supporting.”

According to the NZ Herald, the Speech also, “… promised the reintroduction of benefit sanctions…”

With her 2019 recommendations Kiro was instrumental in creating the conditions for the number of beneficiaries to increase.

In March 2018, when she began her welfare investigation, there were 273,387 beneficiaries. Now there are 367,152. What sat at 9.3 percent of working-age New Zealanders has risen to 11.5 percent; most worryingly 168,276 children in benefit-dependent families grew to 216,648.
