  1. What’s Jacinda Ardern, Grant Robertson, David Clark and Michael Cheika got in common, they all blame someone else for the predicament that they find themselves in.

      • Alice and DN15 – you two just don’t get it.

Facts are not relevant where climate change is concerned. Neither is logic. All that matters is what a psychologically abused 16 year old paid actress says – if she says it’s science then it’s science. If she chooses to ignore facts, then they are to be dismissed as social constructs of the male patriarchy.

Your continued mysoginistic, ageist, rayshissst, Islamophobic, anti-immigration, alt-right, white supremacist attacks against Greta are just a sign that Saint Greta is right.

  2. Simon Bridge’s Hope’s ‘sense prevails’ over Parliamentary footage use. But a spokesperson for the leader of the house Chris Hipkins said Mr Bridge’s is using this to distract from the issues that really mater, this from a Government that hides the truth, allows sexual assaults to happen and then sides with the perpetrator because he is a vital cog in their quest to get re- elected.this is one of the many issues that mater to many except Labour and the Prime Minister.

    https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/political/399892/simon-bridges-hopes-sense-prevails-over-parliamentary-footage-use
The corruption that is rife in this Government is something that really matters but this Coalition just gives two fingers to the Law and continues to rape the system.

    • On the radio yesterday, I heard a snippet of National’s Laurence Yule crowing about how National signed up to the Paris Accord and I got the distinct impression they’re going to go full bore progressive on the global warming insanity if they’re elected. They are still Labour Lite.

They’re still Labour without the lipstick.

      • And major allowances in ammunition and regular practice time at gun ranges so that the police are proficient in use of their guns.

As it such an important part of policing, life & death, in the name of health & safety then all the gun ranges should be granted RMA exemptions.
Maybe even need more gun ranges near Auckland, as there are more police there. 🙂

Where gun ranges are, will become a very safe neighbourhood , as police will be regularly travelling through for their gunnery practice. 🙂

        • I heard Mr Cahill say to Duncan Garner this morning that removing firearms from the community was the current approach to reducing the weapons encountered by Police when dealing with criminals. So taking firearms from Licenced Firearm Owners to stop criminals thieving them is seen as a solution?

That does not sound like a sensible or reasonable Police strategy; take the goods by rushed and excessive law before the thieves take them by force or burglary. Far more reasonable to maintain sound working relationships with Licenced Firearm Owners, making sure security is sound in each case, as happens from well run stations now, is a better long term strategy.

Better to avoid alienation from the law abiding Licenced Firearm Owners in my view. I suggest the first amendment to the Firearms legislation this year, and now the second, are not taking front line Police in the right direction with their communities.

Funds spent currently irritating law abiding LFO’s would be better spent assisting to develop and maintain Police firearm proficiency and thus deter criminal elements from having a go as is now being complained of by Mr Cahill.

Oh yes it will reach the coast, and millions of extra barrels of beautiful oil will be on the international market. How’s that climate protest shit going? lol. Some “climate warrior”.

  5. Dog whistling in defence of Greta Thunberg

So Newshub have gone full retard again using ageism, sexism and racism to defend Greta “she who must not be criticised” Thunberg.

In the absence of any reasonable way to refute the facts that:
    – Greta has no science credentials (or even any real schooling at all) to be making any pronouncements on the validity of the junk science of AGW
    – Greta is an actress, in the pay of the world’s greatest super-villain (George Soros)
    – using a child (like Greta) as a shield to hide behind to avoid debating whether public policy should be framed by 100 unreliable models from researchers who’s very livelihood depends on them producing supporting research and tampering with data – is a tried and tested methodology of liars and despots the world over (think Mao, Hitler, Stalin and Ardern)

instead we see the propaganda arm of the NWO in the MSM wheeling out their intellectual best to deploy whitheringly incisive factual analysis name-calling to try to shut down debate.

And in a even more cynical attempt to seek shelter from open debate – the person delivering the message is Peter Longley – father of a daughter murdered in the UK on her OE (you know, so if anybody questions his credentials as a Dad, the corpse of poor Emily can be unearthed for him to indignantly hide behind).

The truth Mr Longley is that maybe only old, white males have the integrity to point out that the Emperor is wearing no clothes at all. Or maybe they just don’t have any fucks left to give!

    • “Greta “she who must not be criticized” Thunberg.” Oh yeah? She is a brainwashed, stupid kid with a big mouth, and regardless of her young age, I still say the only good commie is a dead one. She is too naive to know even what she’s promoting. Scary how many suckers fall for it.

  6. I’m thinking of starting regular political polls
By that I mean at one at the same time each month.
    (No bias)
    I’m sick of this vacuum!
Ive asked a polling company how much (with no reply)
So I’m thinking of ways to set up my(our own)
    Eg crowd funding
    Or an App
Or 100 people phone 10 people each to get to 1,000
Then phone the same people each month!

    Any suggestions? or comments?

    0

    0

        • Email Ed your poll question suggestions, or alternatively just say your post, “hey Ed what about this as a poll question.” If he likes your idea for a poll question he might put it up as the next YSB poll question?

          0

          0

          • Sorry WG, but asking 50 YSB members is hardly what I have in mind.
I want to replicate what TVNZ and TV3 do.
So you need 1,000 random people.
Most of YSB members would vote Blue but we know that things Nationwide are more likely 50/50 with some Greens and NZF thrown in.
But I would if the ED wanted to start a poll or help me start one.

            0

            0

      • Because many people want to know how the pardy’s are tracking and the MSM are not running any polls, as they are waiting for good news!

        0

        0

        • You have answered your own question.
The left-leaning lying media filth would publish results if it showed the perma-fail fairies were being embraced by the great unwashed.
          Clearly they are not.

The MSM are running polls. They are not publishing the results as the results are not what is required by their chief source of um ah um …information (aka fake news) .
The head banging, shaking, jiving former DJ, fishwife, and mother of a baybee who has 93% approval rating in kindergartens has not approved results to be released.
If they do, fake news sources will dry up.
Then they might have to go out and get some actual stories.

          0

    • I can help you. I worked for one of NZ’s very first market research companies in the 60s and I think I designed the first political poll ever done in New Zealand. I worked in market research on-and-off here and in Australia over the years.

There are two very important considerations to ensure an accurate result:

      1) that the sample is truly representative of whatever population you a surveying (in this case probably kiwi voters) and

2.) the questions must not be leading or biased in any way. This is absolutely essential and it is sn area where many polls fail miserably.

Nowadays, with mobile phones etc I’m a bit rusty on sampling methods as I’ve been out of the game for years…. but I know a lot about questionnaire design and I feel confident that I could design a poll which would give an accurate picture.

If Ed is reading this and you want to discuss it further, he will probably pass on my email address. Cheers.

  8. Winston says NO! (probably)

Police minister’s plan to legalise pill testing at summer festivals derailed as NZ First says it encourages drug use
    https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/police-ministers-plan-legalise-pill-testing-summer-festivals-derailed-nz-first-says-encourages-drug-use

“NZ First law and order spokesperson Darroch Ball said drug testing could legitimise and encourage drug use.

“We’re acting at the wrong end here. We’re being very reactionary if we think it’s okay to start saving lives or to start protecting people after the drug has been taken or after it’s been purchased,” he said.
But when asked by 1 NEWS if his party was opposed to drug testing at festivals, NZ First leader Winston Peters said he “wouldn’t want to give you an answer now. I don’t know if you’re correct about that”

I see Grant has also decided by decree that Air N.Z and the power generators won’t be giving out pay rises to their managers. Why bother having a board at all? • What is wrong with not adhering to sky fairies?
There is a high rate of religion in most Central and South American countries (Roman Catholic) but with high crime and murder rates.

      In addition:-
      https://thecriticalmind.com/2013/09/a-picture-of-crime-in-the-us-a-review-of-the-2012-fbi-crime-statistics/
“High rates of belief in God and church attendance do not lead to low crime rates. The God-fearing Deep South and Bible Belt suffer from the highest crime rates – while relatively atheistic New England enjoys the lowest. And Utah – despite its large Mormon population – has a high incidence of rape.”

      Well worth a read.

Also, and it may not be your cup of tea being LA times :-
      https://www.latimes.com/opinion/op-ed/la-oe-1101-zuckerman-violence-secularism-20151101-story.html
“It is the highly secularized countries that tend to fare the best in terms of crime rates, prosperity, equality, freedom, democracy, women’s rights, human rights, educational attainment and life expectancy. (Although there are exceptions, such as Vietnam and China, which have famously poor human rights records.)
And those nations with the highest rates of religiosity tend to be the most problem-ridden in terms of high violent crime rates, high infant mortality rates, high poverty rates and high rates of corruption.

Take homicide. According to the United Nations’ 2011 Global Study on Homicide, of the 10 nations with the highest homicide rates, all are very religious, and many — such as Colombia, Mexico, El Salvador and Brazil — are among the most theistic nations in the world.

Of the nations with the lowest homicide rates, nearly all are very secular, with seven ranking among the least theistic nations, such as Sweden, Japan, Norway and the Netherlands.

Now consider the flip side: peacefulness. According to the nonprofit organization Vision of Humanity, which publishes an annual Global Peace Index, each of the 10 safest and most peaceful nations in the world is also among the most secular, least God-believing in the world. Most of the least safe and peaceful nations, conversely, are extremely religious.”

      Just sayin!

A replica of HMS Endeavour has just arrived at Mt Mauganui Port.
Its going to be there until Thursday.
So I’m going to go along when I can when it stops raining.

  17. And speaking of history, which I love.
I ordered a book from over seas, and they sent the wrong one!
Ha – no worries I’ll read it then sell it
Its called Septimius Severus – The African Emperor.
He ruled Rome around 200 AD
The author has written a book on him well over 200 pages long.
As we all know, the Romans had baths, toilets, aqueducts, roads, libraries, numbers, medicine, buildings that are still here.

Meanwhile in Maori history in 1200 or 1400AD (no one knows), but 1,000 years later, the first maoris arrived. Archaeologists have found some round stones they used in cooking
The maoris were very good navigators, but they cannot tell us where they came from.

  20. So ,High Court denies review of decision to bar Lauren Southern and Stefan Molyneux
    Nick Truebridge17:56, Sep 30 2019

The High Court has rejected a judicial review of Regional Facilities Auckland’s decision to block two controversial Canadian speakers from using a council-owned venue.

RFA, Auckland Council and Auckland Mayor Phil Goff were sued over the decision to bar Lauren Southern and Stefan Molyneux.

Free Speech Coalition member David Cumin and Dunedin bookseller Malcolm Moncrief-Spittle, who purchased a premium ticket to the event, sought a number of declarations, including that the decision was unlawful.

A summary of Justice Pheroze Jagose’s judgment said RFA did not exercise “any public power” in cancelling the event, which was to be held last August.

Local resident Sam Bilkie has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize after consistent complaining about the heat this summer.

Bilkie, who runs a software firm out of an inadequately air conditioned office in Springfield, has done nothing notable in its life except for substantial complaining about the temperature.

“Man, is it hot out here or is it just me?” Bilkie has been asking rhetorically all summer long. “This has to be the hottest summer ever!”

Nobel Committee members mistook Bilkie’s complaining about the heat for climate change activism and now he’s the front runner in the vote for one of the world’s most prestigious honors.

The pair agreed to leave the bar together, and picked up another co-offender, Carly Goodson, in the victim’s car. The victim agreed to pay Goodson for sex, the judgment said.

The group arrived at an Epsom motel, and the victim and Goodson went into a bedroom together.

The fourth offender, Nykell-T Hegotule, then burst into the bedroom armed with a large kitchen knife and wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with a gang logo.
