  1. WOW, Ministry of business statistics show 400 construction firms have gone into liquidation in the last 12 months , with the 120,000 new immigrants that turn up every year you’d have to figure house prices will be going up or are the vast majority of those new immigrants not in a position to get into one of the planets most expensive real estate markets?

  2. “A group of Far North iwi and hapū have united to take a landmark case to the High Court, seeking customary title over a large swath of the coastline to protect the moana for all.”

No they haven’t, they have sought Customary Title to enrich themselves thanks to the treacherous John Key, his Faggot mate, Christopher Finlayson and a National Government, who passed legislation allowing this bullshit to prevail.

This whole bullshit of “Customary Title” is nothing short of Treasonous and is set up to destroy the Sovereignty of this country and the Executive Power a Government wields along the right of a country as a whole, to determine it’s way forward. It is not up to a band of disparate individuals, like this lot from up North, to tell the country as a whole, how all or part of the country can and should be run.

“The benefits of a CMT would potentially give the iwi and hapū veto rights on resource consent applications; conservation permission right for conservation activities, the right to create planning documents, rights concerning certain minerals, rights concerning newly found taonga tūturu (an object that relates to Māori culture, history, or society), and the right to be consulted on marine mammal watching permits and restrict access to wāhi tapu sites.”

This country is not two entities or 200 entities as Maori and people like Christopher Finlayson and John Key, would have it, it is one. The old adage of united we stand and divided we fall is so true and the pathway of falling is one we are racing down.

      • SB, that is surely the way it is headed. Then when it is over, the protagonists may have to read, understand and accept this:

        Article the first [Article 1]
The Chiefs of the Confederation of the United Tribes of New Zealand and the separate and independent Chiefs who have not become members of the Confederation cede to Her Majesty the Queen of England absolutely and without reservation all the rights and powers of Sovereignty which the said Confederation or Individual Chiefs respectively exercise or possess, or may be supposed to exercise or to possess over their respective Territories as the sole sovereigns thereof.

    • Globalist dudes like Key do the most damage. At least lefties are incompetent and blatant. Fake conservatives are our biggest nemesis. Key and banking buddies play the long game. His cashed up Chinese and ANZ equity mates will be salivating at the chance of snapping up natural national assets once these Māori fakers flog it off. Might take a few generations, but they aim long.

    • TAH,

The article is incomplete. I don’t see anything about them saying they will pass on any said riches or land to the Waitaha, the Pygmies, the white races, or the Celts, the Chinese, or the Egyptians that were here hundreds or thousands of years earlier.

      • Nor Dylan, do I see them saying that it is going to benefit the lower echelon of their Tribe either. You can guarantee the CEO of the IWI and the “Tribal Elite” will be the only ones to benefit. While they talk about “we” they mean “me”.

  3. Good morning everyone, customary rights????? Nope they will just charge to go onto the beach, or ban the white blokes and blokesses from ever going on/near the beaches. John Key, wife and family and can go to Hawaii and be with their friend O’Bummer never giving a thought to the real New Zealanders. Christopher Finlayson and co they were at the trough with their piggy noses in it right till they got huge retirement packages, paid for by the Tax payer of New Zealand. They did not give a shit about what happens to the everyday person. What they have left us with, this Maori activism is so sad. once we were welcome in most places around NZ not now. Rob Muldoon was the one that first gave the mongrel mob the nod and it’s all gone downhill since then.
Try and have a good day out there folks, could rain again??? Certainly does not feel like Christmas.

    • This is disgusting. But if the liarbor party and greens and maori party are speaking out against Israel well what do you expect. Nothing would happen to that person if they found him/her anyway the judiciary are so weak. Damian O’Connor what a fucking joke he is. I find them all despicable. Why don’t they all just fuck off to Gaza and help the poor Hamas bastards then if the care so much about them. Easy to speak words from so far away in New Zealand. On the ground is a different story and Hamas would kill the lot of them.

  5. Act leader David Seymour sets out details on Treaty of Waitangi principles bill and referendum

“Then if you look at the Māori Health authority, for example, the Plant Variety Rights Council with its Māori equivalent, all through Government there has been this idea that the consenting panels under the Natural and Built Environment Act or the representation group boards in the Three Waters entities, just about every area of public policy we have seen partnership morph into the need to co-govern public affairs.

“And we believe to win that argument you’ve got to defeat that wrong notion that the Treaty actually requires these co-governance structures because its principle is a partnership.”

    • Definitely is jobs for the bros. A friend works in a govt dept and in an all-staff meeting, one of the jobs for bros workers stated that he felt like his job wasn’t valued “because of this racist govt”. Nobody pulled him up on it – govt employees are meant to be apolitical at work.

Bloody disgraceful, and that’s not a one-off. I’m going yo write to the new minister responsible and suggest that he takes a hard line and as a bonus, sacks all the irrelevant cuzs.

  7. The English are fighting the Scots again. The English army is camped on a hill waiting for a deep fog to clear. Out of the fog comes a Scottish shout:

“One Scotsman is worth two Englishmen”

Many men volunteer and two of the biggest are selected. They advance down into the fog. Soon the sound of fighting can be heard but it doesn’t last long. Then there is another shout:

“One Scotsman is worth four Englishmen”.

Four more volunteers are quickly selected and they advance down into the fog together. The sound of more fighting can be heard. It lasts a bit longer but soon it goes quiet again and then the same Scottish voice calls once more.

“One Scotsman is worth a platoon of Englishmen”.

There is a longer debate this time but soon a platoon advances steadily down into the fog. This time the sound of fighting goes on for quite a long time and a few screams. Eventually all is quiet and then the same Scottish voice calls again.

“One Scotsman is worth a battalion of Englishmen”

The English are now quite worried but in due course a battalion is prepared and starts advancing into the fog. But a groan is heard on the ground at the feet. An English soldier barely alive has managed to crawl back up the hill and he cries out:

“Don’t go in, it’s a trap. There’s two of the bastards.”

  8. Another group of thug naskerading as heakth professionals .Protecting their margins.
They called her the Tooth Fairy of Kaikohe. Claire Wihongi-Matene made and repaired dentures at cut-price cost for those who live in the poor community but doing so without a licence was against the law. Yesterday she was sentenced and fined after four years in court.

The “tooth fairy” of Kaikohe has been fined $7000 for making and repairing dentures she says brought “life-changing smiles” to people who would never have been able to afford the work in the approved system.

Claire Wihongi-Matene of Tautoro, south of Kaikohe, told the Herald ahead of being sentenced today she broke the law to help a community that was short on money and high in need of dental services.

Kaikohe District Court was told Wihongi-Matene had earned around $180,000 over three years for the services provided with the prosecution arguing she placed at risk the health and wellbeing of those for whom she provided denture manufacture and repair. It was this which led to a charge of claiming to be a health practitioner and six charges of performing a restricted activity.

    • I have mixed feelings about this case. It’s hard to judge where she might have crossed the line. If she’d done the work discreetly to help the community, only covering her costs, without claiming to be a health professional, maybe asking clients to sign a waiver, that kind of thing, then perhaps she could have kept going.

Shit, nearly 100,000 flew from around the world to Dubai to a climate conference. WTF?

    But it gets better:
“Climate advocates are warning the COP28 summit could be on the cusp of failure after a new draft of the core agreement removed a call to phase out fossil fuels, the main driver of the crisis.”

So to summarise – a tenth of a million knobs have flown around the world to a climate junket which is a waste of time.

    • John Minto is (was) nephew to Father Patrick Minto who was part of the Catholic ‘rape central’ organisations formerly known as schools.

      https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/crime/126940653/abuse-survivors-demand-wellington-school-removes-portrait-of-alleged-paedophile
      —————————-
….A portrait of a senior Catholic cleric accused of child sexual abuse still hangs on the wall at St Patrick’s College Silverstream – despite a survivors’ support group being told it had been removed.
Now the church says there are no plans to remove the picture from the Wellington Catholic boys’ college’s auditorium wall.

The late Reverend Father Patrick Minto, a teacher in the 1950s and then rector in the early 1970s, was named as an alleged abuser last November at the Royal Commission into state and religious abuse…..
      —————————-

These places were (are ?) absolutely sick
From an article in the same series:

Another creepy rapey catholic priest. Durning.
      ——————–
…Former pupils say his behaviour was common knowledge.

“Everyone knew what was going to happen when you went up to Fred Durning’s room,” says Roy*, now 76, who was a third-former at St Pat’s Town in 1957, where Durning had moved a year earlier from Silverstream.

Every new arrival was given an appointment to visit Durning in his study-bedroom for a facts-of-life talk. When Roy arrived, Durning fondled his genitals. “It almost seemed an acceptable thing. I never said anything to my parents … It’s a wonder someone didn’t. Maybe they did?”……….
      ………………………
      …his behaviour was common knowledge.
So the catholic parents just stood by and allowed their kids to be sexually abused
      What?
      I guess…. it was god’s will ????

    • SB, what amuses me is that the TOW was originally written in English. It is not a version, it is the original and to this day, remains so.

The Maori text is a translation even though Governor Hobson signed it without knowing or understanding a word of Maori. Hobson only arrived in New Zealand on the 29th January 1840 and did not step ashore until 30th January 1840, a few days before the Treaty was signed.

So the English TOW is not a version, it is the original and should be referred to as such, the Maori translation is the only version, being a translation of the original.

      12

      0

      • The current version claimed to be the english version is no such thing AH. The original english version was the draft done by Busby dated 4th of Feb. If you use the Williams dictionary written by those that translated the treaty into Maori the Littlewood version (as it is known) is word for word identical to the Maori version.

        8

        1

      • As I understand it there is no english version per se. As Ross says they nearly all signed the maori version which was a direct translation of the Busby draft aka Littlewood. The treaty is the maori version which says exactly what is in the draft.

A man was shot by police in Whanganui early this morning and has been taken to hospital in a serious condition and needing surgery.

Police said the man injured a police dog and wasn’t subdued by sponge rounds, pepper spray or being tasered.

“He has run away from officers to the rear of a property, and the officers have followed him, before he then turned and charged at police staff.”

He was shot after allegedly assaulting officers and refusing to comply while they were attempting to take him into custody, Fraser said.

“The man has allegedly attacked and injured the police dog and has continued to assault our staff. He was subsequently shot by police.

  16. It may take several lessons for this one, but I do not think he will ever forget that very first lesson.

Japanese authorities apprehended Somali Muslim who molested girls.
The Japanese police took good care of him and also made the video viral as a warning to refugees who thought of committing such a crime in the future.

    https://twitter.com/i/status/1733899758534545609
    1 min 41 secs :
    “I’m not going”
“I’m not going back” Is this meaning he is being deported back to Somalia?
    “I won’t go back”
“We have a plane” Seems to be part of the answer.

I am sure the Japanese Judiciary will say of any complaint, that there is “no standing”.

A vacancy is opening up in New Zealand.
When can we get a new Commissioner of Police,
Work visas etc, ready to roll for an applicant from Japan. 🙂

Some good Japanese Judges also, that specialize in deportation orders. 🙂

Maipi-Clarke: ‘This Government has attacked my whole world’
Delivering her maiden speech, Hauraki Waikato MP Hāna Rawhiti-Maipi Clarke said she never planned to enter politics but had been compelled into politics due to “attacks” on Te Tiriti, the environment and te ao Māori.

“At 21 years old, I can confidently say this was not the plan… but this House kept tampering with things they shouldn’t be touching. And that’s why I left the māra (garden),” she said.

At 21, Maipi-Clarke is the youngest MP to have served since 1853. She entered Parliament as the MP for Hauraki Waikato for Te Pāti Māori.

Entering Parliament, she said she received the advice to never take anything personally. But she said she had taken the Government’s policy directions to heart.

“This government has attacked my whole world from every corner,” she said, going on to list the environment (te taiao), tamaraiki (children) policy, te reo Māori and Te Tiriti o Waintagi.

Minister for Children, ACT’s Karen Chhour, faces questions

Labour’s Willow-Jean Prime was pushing Chhour on whether she was going to get a regulatory impact statement on the effects of removing 7aa from the Oranga Tamariki Act, the legal clause which ensures Oranga Tamariki is committed to the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi/Treaty of Waitangi.
Karen Chhour says the clause has resulted in Māori children “being removed from safe, loving homes”.

Labour’s Kelvin Davis, who was in charge of Oranga Tamariki in the previous government, heckled her with “shame” and said she was an “embarassment” and was “disgraceful”.
