I think fruit trees are best cut in winter while dormant before budding?
I’m with Sooty with peaches and my favourites – white nectarines. Both are more trouble than they’re worth with coddling moth, fruit drop, etc etc. Too long since I had peach trees unless you have a lucky old tree. Plums are easy and basically no care.

I seem to recall they were looking to tap into the aquafier below the harbour. Perhaps it wasn’t there.
That im not sure of, all I know was we had the drill rig by the airport then had to take it over by Wainuiomata to drill over there, At the time of the job we where told that it was to be a large plastic pipe on concrete plinths run direct across the harbour incase the main supply broke they could supply that side of welly.
Why don’t they run it on the new cycleway along the foreshore?
