  1. When I was around 21 / 22 I purchased a gsx 1100 Suzuki that had been written off by having a car run into the back of it while the rider was sitting at the lights , I built it into a chopper which looked very similar to EDs meme apart from the outrageous engine ,because the rear end was destroyed I made a hard tail trailing arm and lowered the front suspension to match .
It looked sensational but unfortunately despite being faster than most bikes in a straight line at the time it handled badly and if ridden more than 100km in one sitting would cause you to piss blood, it actually caused pain to my lower back if a pot hole was hit at speed, LOL.

  2. Put half a tennis ball over the tow bar ball, tend to see that more readily – can put the other half on a string hanging from the rafters to help park in the garage at the correct distance to be able to close the door.
    More ball tricks tomorrow.

  3. ‘Doubtless Bay fishing competition successful despite protests from Far North hapū’
(Courtesy Northland Advocate via NZ Herald)

It would seem to have been all noise no action (Aided, of course, by the NZMSM), and that many ‘people of importance’ who were last week all in support of the ‘anti’ protests are now distancing themselves from any involvement.

    One wonders why…

This was posted the other day & I only took in a part of it, as it is very long, but seems to be on the same track.

Big Pharma EXPOSED w/ Dr. John Abramson | PBD Podcast Ep. 351
      https://youtu.be/neBBdTibVBs
      1 hour 33 minutes : Jan 18th : PBD podcast :
Best to start at 4 mins.
I see there is time dates for that vid, that may help.

Sort of a precis I noted down the other day for the about the first 20 minutes.

The peer reviewers do not see all the raw data, as the drug companies own all the data.
Only the data that winnowed in, so that fits the study.
Then the conclusions on that ‘peer review’ is taken as the scientific proof

“Experts” have to rely on a certain body of knowledge, and so the expert has to adhere to the unwritten rules of the legitimacy for “that evidential science”.
So non vetted data is supposed to be also accepted as real evidence even when unseen.
The truth of the science is sociological determined, NOT scientifically determined.

Long story short, the peer reviews is a sham for those medical journals.
The point to take that the major purchaser of those medical journals are in the reprinting of the articles for Big Pharma that then does the hand outs to Doctors, media, health officials, etc..
All this is helped by mainstream media that keeps putting a lid on this.

There is no study, so no data, about the covid boosters.
So why are the FDA CDC not calling for randomized control trials to obtain data, to make those booster studies.

To figure that interviewed Doctor has been covid shot, plus boosted & boosted, but then as he states, he considers his age, heart arrhythmia problems, for his own personal risk & benefit.

Israel boosted, sort of a study, but sort of stonewalled.

E&OE and how I under stood it.

As the guy left the office, the director asked, “OK, who’s next & what role did that arsehole have?”

“He was the Uber Eats driver, boss, he just delivered our lunch.”

  6. BMW says goodbye to electric cars. It has solved the problem of hydrogen engines and begins a new era

The company that is challenging all automakers. They have created the solid-state battery of the future
Amidst the battle between electric and hydrogen-powered cars, Mazda has re-invented a new engine
Automakers know that hydrogen is the future. They have taken action and the end of the EV is near

    https://lagradaonline.com/en/bmw-hydrogen-engines/

    7

    0

    • They have created the solid-state battery of the future

“The first fuel cells were invented by Sir William Grove in 1838. The first commercial use of fuel cells came almost a century later following the invention of the hydrogen–oxygen fuel cell by Francis Thomas Bacon in 1932.”

And hydrogen they use to fuel it is produced how? The same grid that powers electric cars.
In the USA, that is primarily fossil fuel.

      11

      0

      • The unwashed look upon hydrogen as a fuel source rather than a medium for storing energy. “Green” hydrogen produced using electricity costs NZD $8/kg vs the $2 which would make it economically viable as a vehicle fuel. From https://www.eeca.govt.nz/insights/energys-role-in-climate-change/renewable-energy/hydrogen/

……”hydrogen has an end-to-end efficiency of approximately 20-30%. In comparison, battery electric vehicles have an end-to-end efficiency of around 70-90%. “……

Until someone unlocks the Holy Grail by discovering a cheap way to separate hydrogen & oxygen it’s all eco-waffle.

        8

        0

        • Indeed, the race has been going on for a long time to establish over-unity gain. But if that was achieved you wouldn’t need to produce hydrogen offsite, you would produce “on the fly”, so no need for a storage tank in the vehicle.

          4

          0

          • The way I understand it “over-unity gain” is similar to creatio ex nihilo, aka magic.

Point is, outside of religion & sorcery, nothing has ever been created out of nothing including fuel. All we can achieve is greater efficiency.

            4

            0

            • True.

With the exception of where we are tapping into a natural energy source, the “Wheelwork of Nature” as Nikola Tesla put it. Where the energy out is more than the energy in, by virtue of the fact that we are unlocking existing potential energy.

              Examples being:
[1] Hydro as in: Hydro-electricity dams, water wheels, Archimedes screw / vortex generators.
[2] Splitting the atom: Nuclear fission.
[3] Fossil fuels: Oil, gas, coal, timber.

  7. https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2024/01/police-minister-mark-mitchell-s-warning-to-gangs-after-recent-spate-of-crime.html
Police Minister Mark Mitchell says New Zealand has a big crime problem to deal with, but the Government is committed to fighting it after a spate of violent incidents to start the new year.

Over the last week, a security guard was stabbed at New World Mt Roskill, two different Michael Hill jewellery stores were targeted on consecutive days in smash-and-grabs, a small group of gang members or associates had an altercation in the Christchurch Hospital Emergency Department waiting room where one person was assaulted and six Mongrel Mob members allegedly bashed and stabbed a senior Head Hunter at a North Island petrol station in a chance encounter.

Mitchell told AM on Monday morning crime is a big problem in New Zealand, but the coalition Government is committed to dealing with it.

“So leave it in the police’s hands, they’ll deal with it. The problem we’ve had in this country over the last six years has been a very permissive environment. The gangs have been operating with impunity. The incoming government has been very clear, we want that to change. We want the public to feel like our police are controlling the streets and not the gangs.”

    • WG, Plod under Mark Mitchell had his chance through Constable Coster to do something with Gangs and their unruly Whanau up North over the weekend. Plod stood around from what I saw on TV, with his thumbs in his pocket like a slovenly unkempt, hobo, taking the side of the disrupting protester.

Mitchell can make all the veiled threats that this Government is going to take some action against Gangs, well this Governments’ 100 days of action, is rapidly running out, his time of whether he is an action man or a straw man is rapidly coming to fruition. We shall see.

      12

      0

      • You may have to cut him a bit of slack. It took six years for Labour & the pitiful Coster to create the situation so it will take more than a couple of months to reverse it.

What we should be shitting ourselves over is that if Mitchell who is pro police & hardline can’t get on top of the mess that crim cuddling has led to then who the fuck can?

        9

        0

      • First step for Mark Mitchell is get rid of dear leaders cousin then find some hard ass cop from days gone by if there are any and appoint him as the toughest man in New Zealand. That might give the cops some back up when mobs get out of order then change the law for judges and make it a criminal offence to give light sentences especially home detention.

Right you alcoholic imbecile. Cancel the rainbow crossings, the town hall that the luvvies just know they need, talkfests about climate change that isn’t happening & the cycle tracks that no-one will ever use in Wellington’s shithouse climate. • Got two friends who are keen cyclists, and neither support the new cycleways.

Apparently the fill and small island bird sanctuaries alongside the Hutt motorway as part of a cycleway between Petone and Wellington, has an estimated cost of $200 million. What a f-ing disgrace. And they’re too dumb to at least make it wide enough for a dedicated bus lane.

        10

        0

        • The cost including contingencies, when they started was $330miliion. I have said to all my Wgt friends I would bet my last dollar there will not be change out of $500 million, if we ever learn the real cost at the end of it.
There is a cycleway in Lower Hutt completed recently which cost about $27 million/ km —nothing complicated in the construction, as it is just a glorified foor path.

    • Witnessing the development of a pick ‘n mix gender soup does my head in on so many levels.

Gone is the fun of pretending to back homosexuality & transsexualism in order to wind up the religio-conservatives to new crescendos of moralistic Godbothering. The new reality has brought with it a tsunami of sick, cross dressing men using academic liberalism to deprive women & little girls of their sport, their safety & their privacy.

We’re residing on the sixth plane of stupidity.

      10

      0

    • if there was one sport that both genders can compete fairly in, it would be surfing. What advantage would a male have over females?. The boards are the same, the surf is the same, the weight would favour a smaller frame. If anything the females would have an advantage surely.

  10. French farmers have perfected protesting to get what they want.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqxVNyRV2L4
    Farmers finally fight back

French Farmers across the country are upset over the new decisions in France to raise Diesel fuel prices and bring in cheaper goods from out of country. But after blocking motorways and slinging slurry across their cities, their new Prime Minister has decided to make concessions for the farmers.

    9

    1

    • The French farmers do not mess around, and a 4wd tractor with a front end loader does seem formidable.
Now is the time, as one could almost believe the French have given all their armoured troop carriers & tanks to the Ukraine. 🙂

…. the farmer uprising is set to descend upon the French capital as they were unimpressed by the compromises proposed by newly-installed Prime Minister Gabriel Attall. ….
      .
…… farmers are planning on shutting down at least seven critical entry points to the city and have hinted at enacting a blockade of the Rungis Market, the second largest wholesale food market in the world which serves as the main hub for food deliveries into Paris. ……
      .
…. Many of the 140 demands issued by the farmers were not addressed by Attal on Friday, with much of the green regulations being imposed on them by Brussels rather than Paris.
However, the government of Emmanuel Macron has been a chief supporter of the green agenda at the EU, and therefore will have a difficult time trying to distance themselves from the implications of the climate alarmist regulations of the bloc. ….

      https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2024/01/28/farmer-revolution-blockade-of-paris-announced-as-farmers-reject-governments-concessions/
      .
We know, the government & its technocrats & bureaucrats never want to :—
find the best resolution where the government [gone tyrannical] simply capitulates and resumes serving its people according to their desires.

While in New Zealand farmers are still waiting to see if the Tri-Coalition will stop Southland Regional & Waikato Regional Councils that are still rolling out their demands for the costly & onerous “Farm Freshwater Plans” to be done by high salaried Co-ordinators with great understanding of “native living forces” that then are checked off by higher paid Auditors.

This will be yet another incident in the rarely-reported and very long-running ‘War of Liberation’ (aka, a war to impose islam on the locals) which has been occurring on the island of Mindanao in the southern Philippines, with the Moro Liberation Front (MLF) being the main protagonist.

As previously-noted the war has been going on for years, but ‘got serious’ in 2014 when the MLF pledged allegiance to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISL) (A group that follows the [Supposedly ‘Liberal’] Wahhabist version of Islam) to be followed shortly thereafter by similar declarations from other groups with similar objectives; The ‘Islamisartion’ of both Mindanao and, ultimately the rest of the Philippines.

The MLF and it’s ‘associates’ are tacitly supported by both Malaysia and Indonesia.

  15. Labour stopped publication of inconvenient numbers. 27% of our country paid 72% of all tax, with 9% pays nearly 42% of all tax. We don’t see data now because they wanted to push a capital gains tax and for that they needed to change the narrative away from how much is actually paid. It got so bad they tried to pretend unrealised gains as “income”.
This is the last data released.
