  1. Stupid Boy walks into a barbershop in Gore for a shave and a haircut, it was time for the summer clean up.
He tells the barber he can’t get all his whiskers off because his cheeks are wrinkled from all the outdoor work he does
The barber gets a little wooden ball from a cup on the shelf and tells Stupid Boy to put it inside his cheek to spread out the skin. When he’s finished, S.B. tells the barber that was the cleanest shave he’d had in years, but he wanted to know what would have happened if he had accidentally swallowed that little ball?
The barber replied “Just bring it back in a couple of days like everyone else does”.

  2. The worm is turning and the Authorities are starting to be bought to book. Well overseas anyway, but my guess is that this Coalition Government is going to start to have to deal to the wreckage that Labour, Bloomfield, Hipkins and Ardern left New Zealand with, sooner than later. It also opens up to question of New Zealand’s acceptance of the WHO’s, International Treaty on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response or Pandemic Treaty with Bloomfield’s’ and Helen Clark’s deep involvement in that, especially in light of the claims that are now coming forward and being settled overseas, for what Bloomfield, Ardern and Hipkins continually claimed was a “Safe Vaccine.”

    The comments say it all.

    • I suppose we will see the Taumarunui International Pride Month pop up here soon with all the faggots and queers mincing around with their limp wrist, man buns and odd voices, supported by the Horizons Regional Council and celebrated by a total of 4 people. After all Carmen Rupe came from here, so I guess there is a direct link.

            • Yes but 35 years on from the horrendous 1989 local body changes by Lange /Bassett (yes, that Bassett of Bassett Brash blog) the Notional pardy won’t organise for local authority elections.

Therefore we get the incompetent, unsuccessful-in-business activists on Council.
Back before 1989 when the roles were unpaid these were often filled by business people and council meetings were often held about 5 pm .
therefore why meals were often provided – the people were working during the day and would not be home until 8pm.

              Not so any more.
Now what we have is all day talk fests that offloads to committees that talk more……… and yet councils now achieve less.
Previously when focused part-timers got in (as councillors) , did the business , made decisions, handed the decisions to the Town Clerk to execute (no room for egos or $550, 000 salaries and empire building with project managers who report to program managers, who must consult with Equity (DEI) reviewers etc etc )

Thanks Dr Mickey Bassett, you knob-end.
The lefties are much more organized and in fact Liebour in 2022 in Auckland endorsed now Green pardy MP, Effuckwit Collins.

              Notional, get ya shit together.
…he screams into the ether, knowing this wont happen

      • Part of the thrill of such sadomachistic behaviour. Pride marchers are voyeuristic. In your face pornography, in the kiddies classrooms give them extra jollies. Sodomy is super violent behaviour. It destroys the recipient. You wouldn’t do it unless you hated your victim. Pride marches a cherry on top.

I’ve come to the realisation that Nude Nut and the smoke and mirrors pony tail pulling John Key are the same sorts of National party politicians except for one important difference , NN really means what he’s said and is determined to do what he said and if he carries on the way he is I’ll make a grovelling arse kissing apology to him on this blog.

    One of the comments:

As I understand it and I didn’t stay in a Holiday Inn last night, is that this is a novel virus manufactured in a lab. Historically, viruses are overcome by herd immunity, but Dr. Geert is saying herd immunity has been blocked by vaccines that contain mRNA that immobilizes the immune system and T-Cells. This combination of a bio-engineered virus and crippling vaccine/boosters is creating the environment for a super virus as a lethal strain emerges. This is all new to science. It’s a new frontier. Other great Doctors agree with Geert. See Thailand Medical News which is quoted in this very short piece by Geert. TMN has been the frontrunner on this virus/vaccines. And Dr. Bhakdi and others warned from the beginning what these vaccines would do to cause this virus to mutate into a killer virus. Geert wrote the book on immune escape. Have you read it? Where are the scientists who have read it and challenge it and refute it? Where are they?

  5. Well, I hope the Huntly Truck Driver and serial poor dresser does not want me or my Taxes to pay for this racially inspired dream of a Maori only Hospital.

If, this ever gets built, as there are no full blooded Maori left in New Zealand, will only that part of the person admitted with Maori Blood be allowed to stay for the percentage of time the person with Maori Blood has, i.e., If the person is scheduled to stay in Hospital for 5 days and that person is 50% Maori, do they only get to stay for 2.5 days then have to fuck off to a General Hospital, or does the 50% Colonial part of the person get charged for the remaining 2.5 days care?

And will all the Clinical and cleaning staff all be Maori or will they want and accept Asian, Indian and Colonials to looking after and care them, for to do so would defeat the purpose of a Maori only Hospital.

Christ on a Donkey, with the sort of thoughts the Tainui King has, they will drive this country, further back into oblivion.

    • If notional dont stop all and any funding to MSM they are a sellout.
Notional wont crush this virus. They are too weak.

Notional should have flogged off teevee enzed by 2014.
The crooked wanker/banker and NWO advocate, J Key would not do this.

I dont mind my taxes funding proper health and proper education and I will have a use for them at some time in life.
I have not and never will have a need for crooked left wing media shitheads.
Crush the fuckers now. By lunchtime would be good.

Guillotining all MSM critters sounds like a very meritorious act.
There might be a couple that are not left wing but they chose to swill at the trough with the same swine, so tough titty.
It will do more good for the mental health of society than any other single act.
I will even take up knitting (I’m sure there is a YouTube tuition channel) so I can take along my knitting to the guillotine parties.

  6. At the moment Winston Peters is wrestling about the tip of the iceberg of 12 UNRWA that went on the 7/10 Hamas attack.
    .
…. The aid organization has fired nine of the 12 staffers accused of actively participating in Hamas’ terror activities, including an Arabic teacher who was revealed to be a militant commander who took part in the slaughter at Kibbutz Be’eri on Oct. 7.
    .
Two of the dozen are already dead, and the fate of the 12th is unclear. …

    https://nypost.com/2024/01/29/news/about-1200-unrwa-staffers-have-links-to-hamas-thousands-more-closely-related-to-terrorists-israeli-dossier/
    .
Does Winston Peters even consider just what is being taught in the UNRWA schools.
Then a bit more of the iceberg is becoming exposed.
    .
….. The damning report — built through interrogations of Hamas terrorists and recovered documents in Gaza — alleges that about 10% of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency’s 12,000 workers in Gaza have ties to Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the Wall Street Journal said. …..
    .
….. Those with ties to the terror groups were considered “operatives,” meaning they took part in Hamas’ military or political activities, the report said. ….

    .
And even many more connections that may not be considered active operatives.
So also a way to gain some of that humanitarian food etc. ?
    .
…. The Foreign Minister says New Zealand has not suspended the funding for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees.
    .
Nonetheless, the [NZ] government is reviewing whether it will send this year’s $1 million, after Israel accused a dozen of the aid agency’s staff of taking part in the October 7th attack by Hamas. ….

    https://www.rnz.co.nz/national/programmes/morningreport/audio/2018924113/winston-peters-on-police-recruitment-and-unrwa-funding
    .
Sort of noticeable that a lot of ‘humanitarian aid went much deeper than a hospital, to a complex sub-terrain level & would have been very competitively priced to an above ground cycle way in New Zealand.
Some funding for the lifestyle & banks in Qatar for a ‘devout& pious’ elite for the cause, too.

    • Fuck it I say.
Give Hamas a $20 million contract to dig a tunnel under Auckland harbour.
Ask for completion in six months.
      No challenge to them.
Them get Heb and Downer to put a road surface in that tunnel.
4 km. this should take them a mere ten to twelve years to complete.

    • Statistics that the media believe are not convenient so now morph to a different level.
      .
…. In 2016, the Washington Post described the Syrian Civil War, with a possible 250,000 deaths, as “the most destructive conflict in the region”.
In 2020, the UN had called the Yemeni Civil War, with 150,000 deaths, “the most destructive conflict since the end of the Cold War”.
      .
And then there’s the current phase of the war in Sudan (which the media is currently uninterested in) in which 15,000 people have been killed over the course of last year, as part of a larger conflict that may have claimed as many as 2 million lives.
      .
The Tigray War in Ethiopia over the last three years (which you may have missed because the media chose not to hysterically cover every single bomb dropped and protesters stayed home knitting instead of blocking traffic) may have cost the lives of between 80,000 to 600,000 people.
      .
(El Pais, Spain’s newspaper, which did report on Ethiopia’s civil war, described it as “the deadliest of the 21st century” and then had to pivot to argue later that Israel was worse in,
      “25,000 deaths in Gaza:
Why the destruction of this war exceeds that of other major conflicts”.) ….
      .
…… How does the media justify arguing that 25,000 is more than 2 million?
      .
…… There are plenty of statistical gimmicks available to anyone who wants to argue that 2 + 2 is really 5. ….

      https://www.danielgreenfield.org/2024/01/israels-war-on-hamas-is-least-deadly.html
      .
So many ways shown in that article how the media grand-stqnd on a tragedy, while supporting a wicked ideology.

Would Winston Peters be able to grasp what the media are doing with the so called genocidal statistics claims in Gaza?

Just call for “free the hostages” so that negations would be seen at least in some ‘good faith’ ?

    • Simpleton @8.58:
Just to be clear, Winston Peters has already announced that he has suspended payments to UNRWA in statements made by both the Foreign Secretary himself and PM Luxon. Whether payments will be cancelled altogether will depend on the results of ongoing investigations and revelations.

The next evening he does the same thing. A little guy sitting with his mates says if he does that again, I’m going to say something.
The following evening, the man orders a beer and drinks it, he turns around and once again says, you people on the left are all stupid, The little guy sitting with his mates says, hey wait a minute, I’m not stupid and the man says, in that case get over there with the idiots and walks out.

Then they are going to sell the trucking to another company yet to be confirmed (we have an idea) so shutting down choices and buggering off back to Aussie with the money. Never mind making it a Kiwi float which they could and should do.

  10. Luxon is very happy to correct his MPs.

    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2024/01/pm-christopher-luxon-walks-back-comments-by-police-minister-about-timeframe-to-recruit-500-officers.html
Prime Minister Christopher Luxon is walking back comments made by the Police Minister about the timeframe it would take to recruit 500 extra officers.

On Tuesday, Mark Mitchell told the House the government would deliver 500 additional police officers over the term of this government, which is three years.

Yet, the government’s coalition agreement with New Zealand First says the parties will deliver on that commitment within the first two years.

Luxon told Morning Report the minister mis-spoke.

“Mark could have expressed himself better. What he was talking to was some of the significant challenges police are certainly facing with respect to recruitment,” Luxon said.

“But we’re an ambitious government, we know it’s hard, we know it’s tough, we know it’s challenging, but we’re sticking with 500 police officers in two years.”

    • So egregious compared to:-

      -100,000 houses in 10 years
      -a billion trees a year
-a tram to Mt Roskill by 2021
      -safe and effective.

A politicians promise for more cops should always be treated as poppycock, for that is what it is.
The same level as a four year old with chocolate covered mouth “no, I did not eat those eskimo pies”
      The same credibility.

After the ‘900 extra cops’ debacle circa 1992 when traffic cops were merged with ornery cops.
      Yeah/nah. Playing with numbers.

    • WG, now I am not a fan of Mark Mitchell, but bear with me.

I believe in loyalty, loyalty to your wife, loyalty to your family, loyalty to your friends, loyalty to your employer, loyalty in the trenches. You have to give loyalty before you can expect it in return.

Mitchell has been a loyal National Party servant, loyal to Luxon and followed his every request and demand.

For that, Mitchell as should have Maureen Pugh, could rightly have expected loyalty and support from Luxon. Mitchell did not get this, what he got was a subtle telling off “he misspoke” and “Mark could have expressed himself better” just like telling off a naughty little schoolboy.

So Mitchell said they would get an extra 500 Plod within the term of this Government. Luxon had to correct Mitchell and say it would be within 2 years of the Government being formed. Luxon is playing semantics. Is not getting 500 new Plod in 2 years within the term of this Government as Mitchell said.

If I was Mitchell, I would be giving Luxon a lesson on loyalty and support. If Luxon does not understand that and wishes to remain a petulant Middle Manager, then if I was Mitchell, I would be considering my long term association with my employer.

      10

      0

      • Luxon’s poor record on loyalty to his MPs has been well documented and I suspect Mark Mitchell – among others – is both well aware and well prepared for this.

By publishing his open letter to Coster last December, setting out his expectations for all to see, Mitchell was not only firing a timely warning shot across Coster’s bows regarding his future conduct, especially any attempt to cover up ‘Golritz Gate’, he was also making his position clear to Luxon, his Globalist boss.

As expected, it’s gone down like a cup of cold sick and so right on cue, we have Luxon in full undermining mode, petty nitpicking about police numbers, how many more and when, trying to show Mark Mitchell up.

I can only hope Luxon has picked on the wrong person this time and between Mitchell with his own receipts and Winnie with his large cupboard full of skeletons, Luxon will be rolled sooner rather than later.

  11. FFS.

The human brain is the body’s most protected organ, and for good reason.

To keep our body’s ‘control center’ safe from pathogens and toxins, the brain and spinal cord sit in privileged exclusion from the rest of the body.

Today, virtually all large molecule drugs and more than 98 percent of small molecule drugs in the human bloodstream are unable to enter the central nervous system because of a ‘locked gate’ known as the blood-brain barrier.

Scientists say they are now closer than ever to smuggling important treatments through.

  13. In the late 1980s to early 1990s the father of Grant Robertson stole $120,000 (proven amount, it could be more) from his employer. He pissed this away on gambling with nothing to show for it.

This $120,000 could have been used at least, to purchase two reasonable houses in Dunnydin , at the time.
But no, Pops stole, defrauded from someone who paid market salary for his time engaged, then pissed it way on gambling.
Hey, we can always do better next time, riiight!!
Pops Robertson got about 3 years jail time, AFAIR.

Now the fat son, where the apple did not fall far from the tree, basically said, I can ‘do better than that’ and not do jail time.
The result was Robertson Jr (the robbers son) stole and gambled away Billions of dollars , with nothing to show for it, and is not doing jail time.
This was only ever going to be the outcome when Robbers son, with no financial training and a 7 year BA was made Finance Minister.

NZ is worse for nepotism and fraudulent behavior at a high level that say, the Cook Islands was in the 1980s.

A likely future leader of Liebour is Carmel Sepuloni. She was the Minister of Social Welfare for the prior 6 years.
In 2016 her mother was convicted of benefit fraud that lasted more than 10 years. It was not an ‘oops, one we oversight’
The mother got no prison time, but had to pay back less than a quarter of what was stolen , in wee chunks, but fraud mom’s future benefits until her dying day is secure.

Transparency International, that puts out bullshit reports annually about NZ being about the lowest fraud and corruption in the world, has been run for decades by Ian Fraser’s American born wife. Fraser was head of teeveeNZ for a number of years.
Sickness and corruption is baked in.

    This is NZ today.
    We live in corrupt times.
    Enjoy.

      .
Then this recent report, which would have drawn its figures before the election.
      .
30 Jan 2024 ….. Orangi Tamariki ….. 9 percent of children in its care were harmed in the year ending June 2023, including neglect, physical and sexual abuse.
It is a significant jump since the ministry’s first report in 2019, when about 5.6 percent of children in OT’s care were found to have been harmed.
      .
“We saw cases of children and young people requiring medical treatment, including hospital visits, in the care and protection residences and injuries that ranged from being knocked unconscious to bleeding lips and noses,” the report said. ….

So really what are the marae’s really doing about this?
A paint up, a re carving, with provision for black 4wd Rangers?
      .
One area I use to have some respect for was the “Maori wardens”, but I see that seems to be aging out?
I understand it is basically voluntary, but so are many fire brigades & St. Johns.
The real catch;- is it being morphed over by some form of government corporate tribunal creep?

      • S1, Dr Ian Hyslop, Senior Lecturer Counselling, Human Services and Social Work at Auckland University. No doubt has a man bun as well as it would well fit in with his position of “theory and practice”. So he actually does nothing that creates any wealth or makes the country a better place, just pontificates.

        • Unless the right rebuild, lead local institutions and support community and family, over business, such internationalist radical slop rakers will continue to smear their verbal excrement in our faces. They want everything in the State, under one massive bureaucracy, as do technical managerialists, big commie and big business are one. Hyslop looks like a fossilised piss stinking hippy who never grew up. They need the family destroyed, whether Māori or European. Family gets in the way of collectivist needs. This guy a regime stooge.

  14. This is just what we know about! This isn’t shoplifting like a kid nicking a bar of chocolate from the gas station – this is serious theft.

“Former Green MP Golriz Ghahraman is accused of stealing nearly $10,000 of goods from two boutique stores and if convicted could face up to seven years in prison.

Charge sheet information relating to the alleged thefts has just been released to the Herald. Ghahraman faces three charges of shoplifting.

She had been due to appear in court tomorrow, however the hearing has been rescheduled to February 28.

She is charged with stealing $695 worth of clothing from Wellington’s CRE8IVEWORX store on October 22.

The charge carries a maximum penalty of one year in prison.

She is also charged with stealing $2060 of clothing from Scotties Boutique in Ponsonby on December 21.

The charge carries a maximum penalty of seven years in prison.

Finally, she is charged with stealing $7223 worth of clothing from Scotties Boutique on December 23.

The charge also carries a maximum sentence of seven years in prison.

The total value of items she is alleged to have shoplifted is $9978.”

    • Prices are coming of a very low base, and it will take quite a number of compounding 10% increases in prices, that media always breathlessly exclaim about before farmers will consider wool worth while to play around with to make it “top quality”.

…Top-quality wools are now fetching over $3 per kilo greasy, ….
      https://www.pggwrightson.co.nz/news/WSJ-positive-trends-emerge-wool-market

Which I recall when the rousie received about 50c an hour was considered a reasonable price in the 1980’s.
Cost now, 2020’s rousie minimum $25 + plus an hour, & still at $3.00 per kilo.

Only thing is the reducing numbers of sheep, so reduction in supply.

But then who cares, when synthetic carpet is cheaper & available.
Also in being cheap, means it can be more readily changed as being more adaptable to newer trends & fashions.
Plus any damage, dog, cat, bird baby, toddler, poo, urine-ation, mould, odours, to be able to be changed & so comply in a way with motels, hotels, rental houses standards & demands these days.

I recall Winston Peters in the 2017 election promise would make all “Government Departments” & where they are involved, like education, housing to be all using 100% wool, though I would concede to the 80% level to have better wear & durability.
Another major non-delivery as he pulled the wool over many, except Ardern.

      • Accusations of non delivery? Oh come on, be fair. Winston didn’t pull the wool over anyone’s eyes. Haha, got your joke. We all know smaller parties don’t get everything they campaign for. And Winston is still banging on about the wool so maybe he will be able to get it all implemented this time.

I usually value your comments and don’t have a bone to pick with you but what’s with the sniping? A serious case of WDS methinks. That’s so passé and I respectfully suggest you do a bit of digging.

I, too, used to have my doubts about Winston until I started digging and uncovered the truth along with an eye-opening can of worms – the stories spoken with forked tongue put out over the decades by his enemies and the MSM, all designed to discredit him. Why? Because Winston Peters is – and always has been – a threat.

The truth is Winston Peters is a proud Nationalist and a fierce defender of New Zealand’s Sovereignty. He’s always had our back. He has been fighting against the would-be destroyers of this country and their Globalist agenda for years. He is their worst nightmare.

So I say good luck to him and NZFirst. Wool and all.

        • Winston Peters 2017 did mention in the run up to the 2017 election that he would consider the largest party.
I can not find a link to that, but I changed my vote from ACT to National, Bill English on the basis of that comment I heard.

Labour received 956,184 votes compared to National’s 1,152,075.
          National 56 seats to Labour’s 45 seats.

Winston Peters could keep ACT out of his coalition.

But now, to consider the stories WP told.
          Who is right?

          https://newsroom.co.nz/2023/09/22/peters-writes-his-own-history-on-backing-labour-in-2017/

Of course Winston Peters does not mention he filed a claim against the National Party during those negotiations.

          Fierce nationalist???????
A nice trip to Marrakesh Morocco to sign the UN Global Migration Pact.
Which gave the UN alignment for further government controls over New Zealand media about migrants & to suppress debate.
The only thing that kept that in check was Covid & those travel regulations.

Sure I like how he has put a hold on WHO Global Pandemic Treaty, that is for the moment.
The next move is will he push with the shy Seymour to open up the focus by those public chosen questions from a public forum for the Royal Commission of Inquiry into Covid19.
Then to lock WHO out of NZ to only be an advisory & flow of information of what is going on in health.

The alignment of NZ to actively support, not just freedom of travel, but to target Houthis in the Yemen for the USA & Uk as the Houthi’s is against what Israel is doing in Gaza.. ….. hmmm ….
Difficult to balance but siding more with Biden & Britain & Europe,
A bit like giving guns, ammunition, training to Ukrainians to kill Russians.

Where elephants tussle, the grass & surrounds can be flattened.
Sometimes nothing is totally right or wrong, but the point is play the hand of cards we are dealt with, and also to weigh up the strengths & weaknesses from your partner.

  15. How to raise eyebrows.

On Saturday, Mironov, the leader of faction A Just Russia—For Truth in the Russian legislature, wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “In the conflict between Texas and the United States, I am on the side of the state. At least Texas does not interfere in the affairs of other countries. If necessary, we are ready to help with the independence referendum. And of course, we will recognize the People’s Republic of Texas if there is one. Good luck! We’re with you!”

    • Based on university modelling data, called a “study” of who would catch covid more, the vaxxed or the unvaxxed to find the answer the government wanted.
To then use those models masquerading as study papers, as facts.
Then the government saddled up the media, to run & amplify it..

Funding then was able to flow from vested interests to create those university models
So what integrity were the universities prepared to lose. As we now know, they do not care.
No problem as fudging, cover ups, etc.. & we know the money kept flowing to those universities & agencies.

The police, anti-rackets branch, simply said there were no problems with the vaxxes, so no reason to investigate.

The key was that the stopping ‘transmission’ was not working was where that modelling became unhinged.
Yet to refuse being “mandated” was a high price, jobs, salaries, mortgages, education, travel, sports, etc..

Very similar to what happened here in New Zealand with Ardern, Hipkins, Bloomfield, Baker, Plank, Wiles to then be covered by mis-dis-mal-information government funded agencies, etc..

I have seen the term “sociological science” with “follow the money” as opposed to ‘evidence based science’ to see the truths.
Those authorities made the use of that science to vindictively bring about “Hate Science” as guided by the
“Yep, yep, that is what it is”

  17. Just had a conversation with someone from Coopers Beach. I mentioned the police and their apparent failure to stop the protesters and their stopping the boats from being launched.
It appears the MSM have not been truthful to the public.
    His comments.
It was the most successful contest ever. People came from nowhere to take part. Seems they wanted to show how they feel about the stupid natives.
Police were actively stopping the protesters from trying to stop the launching of boats. If you wanted to lauch your boat, then you could do it.
Why did we not know this from the MSM?
Oh I know, they want to stir up anti-govt sentiment going into Waitangi Protest day

    • Thanks, Holy Ed, for your excellent report in lieu of anything vaguely factual from the fake ‘journalists’ and their enablers at the Bureau of Propaganda aka the MSM.

Great to hear Coopers Beach was so successful and the police were there doing their bit to stop the disruption by the natives for a change.

  18. This is a cut and paste of a comment to Micheal Basset’s latest writing. It clarifies how things happened for me.

” The 1987 Court of Appeal between the New Zealand Maori Council and the Attorney General stated, “The Treaty of Waitangi has been primarily interpreted in the New Zealand Courts and this appeal was significant in establishing the modern views on the Principles of the Treaty”. This court also confirmed the Treaty was a Partnership between Maori and the Crown.

On page 663 of the appeal document we find instead of using an ‘official text’ of the treaty*, this court used an ‘unauthorised text’ by Hugh Kawharu, which he calls his “attempt at a reconstruction of the literal translation of the Maori text”.

The Court decided to use an ATTEMPT at a reconstruction of the literal translation of the Maori text by a man representing people who were to gain the most from its outcome.

Kawharu served on the Waitangi Tribunal for 10 years (1986–96), and contributed to 12 reports, including the three volume Ngāi Tahu report (1991). In that inquiry the tribunal found that the Crown had acted ‘unconscionably’ and recommended that a tribal structure which would allow Ngāi Tahu to begin negotiating with the Crown about remedies be implemented; this became established practice for later settlements. He also gave evidence to various tribunal inquiries, including those into Indigenous Flora and Fauna and Māori Intellectual Property (Wai 262) and the Foreshore and Seabed (Wai 1071).

The Court further stated, “It was put before us on behalf of the applicants. The Crown likewise accepted it for the purpose of this case”.

So here we have the Crown accepting a ‘bogus translation’ to interpret the Treaty and establish the unfounded “Five Principles of the Treaty” and a “Partnership between Maori and the Crown”? “

  19. So Bryce Edwards claims Christopher Luxon needs to do something to lift the ethical standards in this country because under the latest Corruption Perception Index, New Zealand has plummeted to third on the List.

Look Bryce, old spoon. this is the 2023 Corruption Perception List which has just been released and it was your mates in Labour, yes, Cindy and the Sausage Roll Muncher, Hipkins which had control of the country and the Labour Ministers, which caused the drop in this country’s rankings.

Govt advisor’s ‘potential conflict of interest’ as Rātana speaker
    https://www.1news.co.nz/2024/01/31/govt-advisors-potential-conflict-of-interest-as-ratana-speaker/

A speaker accused of insulting New Zealand First’s Winston Peters and Shane Jones during the annual political pilgrimage to Rātana is being investigated by the government department he works for.

Statistics New Zealand has confirmed it is looking into “a potential conflict [of interest] of a Stats NZ employee who spoke at Rātana Pā”.

Nika Rua stood as the first of a line-up of speakers at Rātana to challenge Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, Deputy Prime Minister Winston Peters and ministers about Government plans for Māori, including the Treaty Principles Bill.

In his address last Wednesday, Rua condemned Peters and cabinet minister Shane Jones as taurekareka (slaves) for the Crown and said Jones had turned his back on Māori.

Jones later said he had been insulted and that Rua had spoken in a “grossly inappropriate way”.

Rua (Tamakaimoana, Tūhoe) has been employed as Stats NZ’s partnerships and engagement lead advisor Māori for nearly 18 months. He is understood to be taking two weeks’ extended leave following a phone call from a senior Stats NZ manager on Thursday morning.

  23. A house-builder in one of Auckland’s fastest-growing areas has struck trouble and ceased trading.

Compass Homes (Franklin), owned by interests associated with Garry Shuttleworth, is no longer continuing, he said today.
He has not decided what to do yet and the company is not in liquidation, receivership or administration.
“It’s the perfect storm,” he said today of problems in the residential building sector which beset his company

    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/house-builder-compass-homes-franklin-stops-trading/T4VLI5ZKD5ETXFWY54FC5ZNPPE/
Sections which were just under $200,000 a few years ago were now going for $550,000 and above in Pōkeno alone, he said.

“At the moment, I’ve ceased trading [that company] and what I will do, I don’t know. I’ll have meetings in the next few weeks to determine that. The company is unable to pay its bills,” he said.
